Which browser is more secure for Mavericks?

Hello, before upgrading to Mavericks I was using Firefox because Safari was no longer up to date. And I really love Firefox.
But here's my question: Which browser is going to be more secure for me?
Firefox 28.0 or Safari 7.0.2

I understand that both Mac OS 10.4.11 and Mac OS 10.6.8 have security holes, and that 10.4.11 is no longer supported. If neither 10.4.11 nor 10.6.8 are supported, and if unpatched vulnerabilities in 10.6.8 are worse than those in 10.4.11, then I presume that, because fewer people use 10.4.11, nobody will attack it, whereas many people use 10.6.8 which makes it more attractive to hackers.

Most people would likely disagree with me, & although higher versions of OSX got Security fixes, I think older is or can be made more secure.
TenFourFox for PPC & Firefox for Intel is a more advanced Browser than Safari in either version.
I consider Little Snitch essential for security also in 10.4.11 to 10.10.2

Within reason it would be better and more secure for user to have more latitude in Id and password security. We can make a tool so difficult that it loses its usefulness. the need to write down scores of passwords to make a control freak happy stinks

The balance between security and ease of use is way out of control with Apple. Where does Security end and Controlfreak begin I have a very secure password that I use on many really high security programs and applications where peoples lives, safety and finances are at risk. There has never ever been a problem because I have chosen the usernames and passords carefully, I use them all the time so I don't forget them. If I wrote different ones down so that I could access them from different locations that would be a huge violation of security.
This policy is so extreme that it makes the tools that Apple makes available. I have used Apple as my music management system for years. This has become so impossible that I am going to have to convert to another system. This will cause me time and work. This is quite un-necessary. Control freaks are hard to deal with.I give up, I'm going to go away.

If you are going to be doing graphics-intensive tasks, do NOT select the 13" models. The video infrastructure has shared video memory, meaning that the main RAM is used for everything, including the screen framebuffers, and the GPU and CPU have to battle it out for access to it. The 15" and 17' models have dedicated VRAM and separate access busses, which translates to much snappier video response.
There are two options you can explore for reducing costs: ensuring that you get the educational discount if offered in your country and seeing if your country's Apple Stores have refurbished units for sale. Might not be cutting edge, but you might get a Mid 2010 15" for a good price, for example. Plus you also get the standard warranty and the option to extend it with AppleCare.

Of course 3G drains battery faster than wi-fi (when the same data volume is transmitted) Just imagine the range of each data transmission . 3G has maximum range around 20km while wi-fi has only 200m outdoors

Please take a look at the Client Certification. It lists all of the browsers that are certified for the Java version you are using. Also, you will need to modify your configuration to correctly list the Java Plug-in version you have installed. which browser are you using for working with the workcenter?
At the moment I'm using Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and if I navigate to ABAP Syslog Errors (Exception Analysis) I get following message: " Web application processing terminated". But if I use Mozilla Firefox, this doesn't happen.
Any idea?

You might want to make sure you are on SAPGUI 710 or higher.
Lower versions can cause problems with Windows Explorer 8.0

PEAP is a new member of the family of EAP protocols. To enhance both the EAP protocols and network security, PEAP provides:
1. Protection for the EAP method negotiation that occurs between client and server through a TLS channel. This helps prevent an attacker from injecting packets between the client and the network access server (NAS) to cause the negotiation of a less secure
EAP method. The encrypted TLS channel also helps prevent denial of service attacks against the IAS server.
2. Support for the fragmentation and reassembly of messages, allowing the use of EAP types that do not provide this.
3. Wireless clients with the ability to authenticate the IAS or RADIUS server. Because the server also authenticates the client, mutual authentication occurs.
4. Protection against the deployment of an unauthorized wireless access point (WAP) when the EAP client authenticates the certificate provided by the IAS server. In addition, the TLS master secret created by the PEAP authenticator and client is not shared
with the access point. Because of this, the access point cannot decrypt the messages protected by PEAP.
5. PEAP fast reconnect, which reduces the delay in time between an authentication request by a client and the response by the IAS or RADIUS server, and allows wireless clients to move between access points without repeated requests for authentication.
This reduces resource requirements for both client and server.
You can choose between two EAP types for use with PEAP: EAP-MS-CHAPv2 or EAP-TLS. EAP-MS-CHAPv2 uses credentials (user name and password) for user authentication. EAP-TLS uses either certificates installed in the client computer certificate store or a smart
card for user and client computer authentication. Comparatively, the second one is more security because public Key certificates provide a much stronger authentication method than those that use password-based credentials.

What SAP module is more appropriate for my background?

I'm very interested to join a SAP course in India but i'm really not making any decision so far. which module is more suitable for me and my background.
I have done my Master in "computer science" and my undergrad in "Education in computer". I've asked some guys and some have advised me to go for Basis or BI. I'm telling you that I have no experience in SAP world but I'll take a step further to join the most appropriate course that meets my background.
my Questions are:
- Any requirements to study SAP Basis/BI module in an authorized institute?
- What do u suggest me to study?

i'm interested to enter into SAP world but i duno which way is more appropriate for me:
1- join a course in a non-authorized institute in India for about 2 months (2 h/day) then join SIEMENS institute (8 h/day) which is authorized then do the exam to be a SAP certified consultant. [a long way, total of studying is 3 months, will cost a bit more]
2- join a course in SIEMENS institute then do the exam to be a SAP certified consultant. [short period .. just 1 month, intensive]
Things to bear in mind:
- no experience in SAP world.
- the aim of studying in a non-authorized institute is to enter into SAP world and make sure if the module is suitable for u or need to switch to another one. studying in a non-institute is a bit cheap.

The best thing for iOS development is your imagination. Coming up with unique creative apps is what’s most important. I've had a mini since they first came out, and I think it's the best desktop around. However you may not want a desktop because you're more mobile when you work on apps. With the mini you can use a much bigger screen (I use a 80 inch) but the laptop has a slightly better processor (if you decide to pay extra for it). I'm learning app development also and a laptop would drive me crazy, but it's a personal choice, so you first need to decide where you are going to be while you're developing. If it’s at home or a office then the mini might be better. The mini and the macbook pro are both two incredible products. I don’t think you can make a wrong decision as far as which one handles app design better. They’re both great in that department.

What more do you want other than what I have already given. ie which browser do I go to which is compatible with mac OSX10.3.9 after pop up window advises me that the current version of Firefox (2.0.0.20) is out of date. To change to the later version of Firefox would mean me having to uprate my O.S. to 10.4 which will cost me money!

Sorry, there is no newer version of Firefox available for Mac OS X 10.3.
Please be aware that Apple no longer provides security updates for Mac OS X 10.3, and other important software like Firefox is no longer updated for that platform either. If at all possible, I recommend you upgrade your computer to protect your privacy and security. Perhaps you can find a friend with a copy of Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5 that they are no longer using?

That is a simple question of a new mac user (Myself). I have bought my first Mac and it came with a version I do not remember the name. There was an update called Maverick available for download and I updated. Ok? I hope you are understanding me.... The point is: I just want to be always updated about the best system for my Mac, because I see and I hear many things about Mountain Lion, Leopard, Snow Leopard, etc... And doubts come in my mind.

If I were you I would stick with Snow Leopard. It's much better suited to your old hardware. That said:

Is it possible to log in to the remote computer where the administrator has a more secure password (different) from the user who is working on the machine. this for added security.

May I second this question?
My 90 year old mother >needs< a blank/nil password to get X off the ground which of course allows easy ARD access, but I'd feel better with a secure password.
Any suggestion(s) will be appreciated.
