Which cards support AS

Hi,
I'm in the process of specifying some computers that will be in a music technology classroom (school). There is an intention to use Cubase and Sibelius with these machines. Having experienced latency issues in the past, I believe I need a card which supports ASIO? Is there a comparison table which shows which cards support ASIO? Does the Audigy SE? There's no mention of it on the spec page, but wanted to check. Thanks

SE don't support ASIO.
In generally, all Audigy 2/4 models (excluding Audigy 2 NX) and X-Fi models (excluding XtremeAudio) supports ASIO. Also there normally is mentioned if card supports ASIO in product pages.
Li've! series cards don't support ASIO nati'vely but there are 3rd party drivers which can be used w/ Audigy 2 NX @ Li've! 24-bit External;

  • Which Cards Supports DVD-A With 6 Channel Output to AV Receiver With "Ext Inp

I'm building a HTPC and I'm looking for a card which supports DVD-A discs that will output 6 channels which I can use as inputs on my receiver. I read somewhere that you can't do this over SPDIFF and that you have to the use the 5. External Inputs on the receiver (which my offers).
The two cards I'm looking at are:
    Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
    Sound Blaster Audigy 2
    Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value
Will either of these cards do what I'm looking for? Also, do I need anything special in terms of cables or just a /8" mini-plug to RCA? Do I need cables specially rated to ensure I get the highest quality audio I can?
Also, do I need to use your software or can I install it and have it configure WMP (or MS Microsoft Media Center) can play it's
    Thanks!

Thats correct: [On the Advanced controls of the Sound Blaster I had to check Digital Output Only [Did I need to do that? It seems that I did but I'm not sure.] Also, on WinDVD's Setup dialog, on the Audio tab, in the Audio Output Configuration layout, I had to pick "Digital (S/PDIF) out to External Processor"] The only thing is now what king of minijack do you use. I am using a stereo cable from my camcorder (has 3 RCA connectors). Only on one of them you will have the digital signal.

  • Which cards do support java card platform (vm) 3.0 in the market now

hello everyone, i search some website today for shopping card that support the platform, but there is no card.
does any one know which card support it?

If it is about the classic cards: I know that Giesecke and Devrient also supports v 3.0.1 in their smart c@fe expert cards. I am not sure if they sell to end-customers though, so it may depend on who you are/how many cards you want. I would link, but not sure if this is accepted here. Just check the strong authentication section in the product section on their website:

For connected cards: I think no time in the near future.

  • Which MSI card supports the apple 30"

There are so many video cards out there and theories about which card will run this monitor, i almost wasted a lot of money trying to run the monitor on my 6800GT... it doenst i have tried both DVI ports.
Basically i want to know which MSI card supports the apple 30" does the new 7800? the old 6800 ultra? is my 6800GT messed?
A few things i can confirm are this, the monitor because of some signal issues DOES NOT support SLI at all.
I have read a few reviews that say the 7800GTX does not support this monitor - very disappointing i have to look for an older 6800 card.... - this is unconfirmed maybe someone can get back to me about this.
Anyways if MSI could tell us which card of theirs works i will turf my 6800GT and buy whatever is needed.

I can't be shure which MSI card support it, but reading the release notes from the latest nvidia drivers (77.22) I saw this:
The GeForce 6800 Ultra 512MB works in single card mode with Apple 30 inch HD Cinema panel. However, an issue has been discovered when running the GeForce 6800 Ultra 512MB card in SLI mode with an Apple 30 inch HD Cinema display. This is due to an interaction
between the GPU, the application, and the ability to scale to nonnative panel resolutions of the Apple display.
All GeForce 6 series GPUs will work with Apple 23 and 20 inch HD Cinema displays in single GPU mode. NVIDIA recommends using the GeForce 6800 Ultra 512MB with the Apple 30 inch HD Cinema Display line only in non-SLI modes.
    Edit here:
Modes Supported for High Resolution Displays:
    Display:
*Apple 30” Cinema HD Display (Dual link DVI)
    Hardware Requirements:
*All High-end Quadro FX (see list of products in “Quadro FX Family of High End GPUs”
     * GeForce 6800 with 512 MB
    Maximum Resolution:
    2560x1600 @ 60Hz
    Source: 77.22 Forceware Release Notes.
I guess that your card (6800 GT Non Ultra) doesn't support it. Maybe a new drievers release will fix this.

An AC signal is nothing more than a constantly changing DC voltage.  Ok, there's more to it than that.  But still, the DAQ takes quick snapshots of what the signal voltage is at a given instant.  If you take enough of these snapshots, you can recreate the signal.  Niquist states that you need to sample at at least twice the bandwidth of your AC signal.  I recommend more of 3-5 times.

I did this years ago when I had a PM6500 running 8.6 & added a USB PCI card, but know I didn't have the problem you are having.
When I downloaded from the link you provided, I got this file USBCard_Support1.4.1.smi.bin. After using Stuffit Expander, I got this file +USB Card Support 1.4.1.smi+, which is the installer. I don't have a Mac running 8.6, so I can't try the install.
Suggest you do this. Put the smi.bin file in a folder on your desktop & then uncompress using Stuffit. This will yeild the .sim file. Then double click the .sim file. Did you get the message "+Please insert the disc: USB Adapter Card Support+" when you double clicked the .sim file? Or some other file?
When you downloaded the smi.bin file did you use a Mac or a PC & then put on a Zip disc? What computer did you use to uncompress to get the .sim file?

i am planing to buy license of premier pro.I wan to capture picture from my camera .which card  i want to install ??

If you're asking about Live Capture, where you record the camera feed direct to hard disk, then you need a Firewire interface or one of the (few) supported HDMI/SDI cards such as the AJA Kona, Matrox MX02 or BlackMagic Intensity Pro - however those have very specific motherboard requirements so you need to research them carefully before buying anything.
For an intro to Live Capture I suggest you read the manual: Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Capturing and digitizing footage

  • Which Macs Support Jumbo Frames?

Is there a list anywhere of which Macs support Jumbo Frames and which don't? I can tell my Mac Pro does, and my MacBook does. But sadly, my G4 does not, even though it has gigabit ethernet. Unfortunately, the G4 is my home server so it's the computer that would benefit me the most by supporting them. Just going from my mac pro to macbook, my transfer speeds jumped from 40MB to 50MB/sec. And that may have been bottlenecked by the MacBook's hard drive.

    Hey l008com,

How the heck do you embed an image in this forum?
Add a ! between the link like this (I add the " " between it so you could see).
    and with the " " removed ...
Anyway, GET IT NOW? 1504 is the limit, even though it's the built in gigabit ethernet on a dual 800 quicksilver G4.
But anyhow now that I have more info about your G4, does it have a built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet connector and four-port 10/100BASE-T Ethernet PCI card (RJ-45 connectors)? If I'm correct about this then the gigabit port is an Uplink Port for a Hub, a Switch, another Server, Access Point or some other Network Device. I know that's not much help but the more I know about about your existing Network Setup, the less I guess about it. One thing to keep in mind is that your ISP Internet Connection is slower that 10MB/s anyway plus the their MTU's are NOT the same size and I know why.
But that really doesn't much if your Network Speed is more important than the Internet Speed.

  • Does DPT card support normal POS interface.

we have a DPT ring , router is GSR12016, DPT card is 1-Port OC-48c/STM-16c long-reach/OC48/SRP-LR-SC-B=.
recently we want to remove the ring,we want to reuse this DPT card, but we don't have enough DPT card, we have normal POS (SDH)card, can we connect this DPT card to normal POS card(don't support DPT ring).
    Thank you!
    Tom

POS and DPT work in different way so cannot connect a DPT card to POS card which doesnot support DPT.

  • PIV II Contactless Smart Card Support with Blackberry 10 Devices?

I've seen documents describing NFC smart card support and ISO 14443 compliance in Blackberry 10 software and devices, but this doesn't really make it clear... Does the NFC support in BlackBerry 10 devices allow it to use certificates on a PIV II contactless smart card (which follows ISO 14443) for signing and encryption of e-mail? (without needing the separate Bluetooth-connected BlackBerry smart card reader)

OK, undestood, I am neither of those. Just a user.
POP email does not push instantly. I will tell you what another user here commented in another thread... any business now a days that is still on POP email is somewhat like using candles to light your offices. You need to be on IMAP.
Perhaps you can check and see what it would take to convert. In most cases, it should be simple.
And if you do, ASK if that IMAP has PUSH enabled.

  • Does java card support PIN encryption on APDU Verify Command???

    hello
I want to know if java card allows PIN encryption in the APDU verify command? because such an action necessits that a section key has to be set between the server (SC applet) and the client application.
    thanks a lot

Many Java cards support the GlobalPlatform Open Platform specification
which can be downloaded for free from http://www.globalplatform.org .
This specification contains a mechanism called "secure messaging".
All APDUs sent to applications or the cardmanager and the corresonding
responses can be enrypted when using secure messaging.
In order to use secure messaging a "mutual authentication" is necessary
where the off-card entity authenticates itself to an application,
e.g. the card manager, and the application authenticates itself to the
    off-card entity.
Naturally, this involves static keys on/off-card and session keys.

  • Which card for wireless?

I have a duo processor, mirrored G4 desktop and would like to install a wireless card so that I can connect to my airport base station. Which airport card should I use, or is there something better out there. I only have firewire 400 capability.

Of course, there are a few of us G4 owners with the "FW800" Dual 1.25 and Dual 1.42, which also support Airport Extreme. I actually have both a Dual 1.25 with Airport Extreme Card and a Single 1.25 Dual-Boot G4 with regular Airport card. I'd agree with the earlier post that Extreme G is significantly faster than B. My router is the older Airport Extreme (round) unit. Regular Airport is quite usable, but the issue I think is value. The few vendors that still sell an original Airport card seem to charge an arm and a leg. If your Mac doesn't support at least Extreme (the standard now is "N"), it probably would be well worth it to explore some way to get faster wireless, maybe through a PCI card or via Ethernet. And probably pay less also.

  • Powerbook 2400 and USB Card Support

I have a Powerbook 2400 with a PCMCIA slot. I also have a Belkin USB Adapter for the slot that works fine with a Powerbook G3. I also must run Mac OS 8.6 because of an old program I use everyday. The 2400 slot works with a modem card so I know it is not defective.
I downloaded Apple's USB Card Support 1.4.1, which allows the USB card support in pre 9.0 Macs. The notes say it will work with any PowerPC Mac. When I try to install it on the 2400, the window comes up saying this card suppot software is not supported on this machine. It works fine on the G3 running 8.6.
Is there any work around so that I can use this card in the 2400?
    Thanks,

The dialogue box "...USB DDK..." went away with your instructions for including "usbx", BUT the 2400 froze on restart.
I removed the "usbx" version of the USB Support Extension and went back to the USB Support Extension without "usbx". I restarted and it came up without the dialogue box. (?????). No freezing. So the dialogue box problem was solved.
With the old (non "usbx" support extension) installed, I inserted my Belkin USB card. I then inserted the little Memorex USB in the left slot of the two slot card spaces and it didn't work. I inserted it into the right slot and the little light on the Memorex flashed and the icon came upon the desktop. Hurray!!!
    Success!
I am a bit confused by all of this.
    1. With Plan B, it took code inserted into the resource window, "usbx" (pardon me if I use the wrong terms here) to get rid of the dialogue box (DDK) which came up on all restarts.
    2. That froze the 2400.
    3. Replacing it with the original USB Support Extension (without "usbx") allowed the 2400 to restart without freezing or the dialogue box.
    4. BUT my hardware Belkin card seems to mount USB drives on the right USB slot only.
Anyway it seems to be working, and you guys are phenomenal. My PC using husband is totally impressed by what you have been able to help me do. And I am reminded of how much fun it used to be to do this kind of stuff on my old Macs when we could still work with the extension folder.
Do you have any further analysis on this, otherwise I'll close it out as question answered? Bless you!

If you have an iPhone or iPad do not update to ISO 7 unless you want an operating system that looks like windows 8. The graphics looks like it was designed by a artistically challenged mongoose and the operating system is not intuitive something apple users expect. Overly complicated ugly and generally change for the sake of apples paranoia since the death of Steve Jobs.
