Which category should I put my podcast in?

I have a podcast that reviews podcasts. I have no idea where this podcast fits in relation to other ones, or whick category. Any ideas?

Yeah, that's probably where it will end up. Although that section seems to be more about "How to" podcasting. My podcast just reviews other podcasts. See my dilemma?

    After install OAS10gr2, which ORACLE_HOME should I put in .profile to export? Infrastructure or Mid-tier ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    which ORACLE_HOME should I put in .profile to export?The Linux .profile is for setting-up your Linux environment, and it gors into Linux directories. The OS .profile can be global (/etc/profile) or local (as specified in each users /etc/passwd) for each OS user. I have notes here:

  • On which drive should I put samples?  Is EXS, Ultrabeat, etc. streamed/ram?

    Hey, i am setting up the new iteration of my home studio. I upgraded to 7 Pro recently and am taking advantage of the new 500GB internal hard drive. My question is, should I relocate (via alias) my EXS24 and Ultrabeat samples to my new 500GB along with BFD?
    I ask this because I am not sure if those Logic instruments stream the audio from your HD or if they are loaded into RAM.
    If they are indeed streamed I will plop them with my BFD and leave my native OS drive to just app running and as scratch recording (later putting the audio recordings on the secondary 500GB drive). Any advice? Thanks!

    Greetings, Scroto.
    This is not a straighforward answer...
    EXS24 does its best to move what it needs into RAM. For instance, check out Options > Preferences on the EXS24 panel. You can even get the EXS24 to keep common samples in memory when switching songs.
    However, I prefer to have anything that might make the drive work hard on my system disk. So, samples and video are normally on my system disk so that Logic can stream quite happily to my scratch disk. Having said that, I've sometimes had jerky video (Logic gives priority to audio) so moving that file to the scratch disk has given me silky smooth playback.
    So, for my working rpactice at least, there are benefits in both methods. I have worked with people who put all AV material, including samples, projects (therefore including freeze files) and anything else on their scratch drives and then wonder why they get mixed results, including the dreaded out of sync message.
    I only have two high-performance drives but can see the real benefit of having a third FW drive which can then hold all samples, video material and so on, leaving the scratch disk for audio alone. I'd appreciate comments from anybody who has tried this.

  • Which slot should I put in PCI card in?

    Finally going to migrate from my older Mac to my new Intel Mac. I'm in the process of putting my fiber channel card into my new machine so I can connect it to my Xserve Raid. As I was about to put the card in the new machine on slot #2, I noticed that slot #4 said "X4/RAID" on it. Now I'm wondering which slot I should put the card in. Does it matter? I can't find anything other then slot #1-2 are X16 and slots #3-4 are X4.
    Help.

    Hi
    The slot you're looking at is specifically for Apple's RAID Card. In other words if you have the Card it probably won't work in any other slot than the one marked specifically for it. More information here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3514
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1346

    You should be OK using the slot but if it bothers you any other slot will do.

  • When installing Firefox 35 into Windows 7 running inside VMware Fusion on a Mac, into which folder should I put the downloaded Firefox installer file?

    Inside Windows I see a folder called PROGRAM FILES and another one called PROGRAM FILES (X86). Is either of these the correct one to put the Firefox installer program into before I launch the installer? There is also a folder called WINDOWS. Sorry for such an elementary question but I've never been a Windows user; just Macs so far until now. My intention is to download the Windows version of Firefox using a browser on the Mac side of the computer since I have working browsers there. Then I would copy the ".exe" file to whichever Windows folder is correct. Am I on the right track or am I courting disaster?
    Also, will there be a preference inside Firefox to make it the default browser in the Windows environment? I'd like to avoid using Internet Explorer.
    ( I'm writing this from the Firefox browser, v. 28.0 in the Mac OS (10.6.8). I didn't click the "Automatically Add" button for submitting troubleshooting information because I'm not asking about the browser in the Mac OS environment.)
    Thank you.

    The full Windows install file from for instance https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ is an executable dot.exe file.
    It will run from anywhere the user has the correct permissions, incluing the desktop or the downloads folder. It will offer standard or custom installs, usually opt for the standard install and the necessary flies and folders will be created.

  • Which situation should we use the text item with the item category TATX

    Dear experts!
    Thank you for your attention!
    I am confused with text item (TATX).
    which situation should we use the text item with the item category TATX????
    Someone told me that the text item is dummy and should be used as a manual of certain standard item. But the manual may be a book or several papers and it also takes up some inventory not a dummy.
    So, could some body tell me what the text item (TATX) exact is and what function it has.
    Best regard!
    Tangdark

    Hi,
    you can use TATX if you like to enter a text and to print some information between the item lines.

  • Firefox 4 seems to action on some html tags that are included within a html comment tag which it should not.

    Consider the following html code where I open a textarea and include a comment tag within the textarea. Within the comment tag (which Firefox 4 should ignore) I've included a close textarea tag. Firefox 4 (unlike FF3 and IE) closes the textarea.
    The following code is also available at

    We are about to start a textarea....<p>
    <pre><nowiki><textarea rows='20' cols='40'>
    Here is the textarea.
    Inside these comment blocks I'll put a close textarea tag which Firefox should ignore but does not.

    <!--
    We are now inside comment blocks...
    <br>
    This code should be inside the text area.<br>

    <br>
    and so should this code be <b>inside</b> the text area (but is not in Firefox 4).

    I have a monitor and keyboard+mouse, maybe Nightblade B85 or Z97 is suitable for me, but is it have wireless network?
    According to that, I consider maybe All-in-one PC is more convenient, but I love to play World Warcraft and Diablo III, is it can support to play these games?

  • Which NAS should I buy?

    I am looking to buy a NAS for home use. Here are my requirement(s): use as file storage and sharing inside home LAN. I will need to screen movie to TV from it. I would need it to be reliable.
    I backup my MAC locally via USB by timemachine. It seems like Sinology ds212j and Qnap ts212 are pretty good deals. But there are also people saying Drobo and Netgear models. So which one should I go with? I am not a video/photo professional (maybe some hobby works). So I am not going to spend over $300 for the NAS Which one do you guys use?
    BTW, I have a 500GB harddrive now. Once I bought the NAS, can I put a 2TB drive in one bay and the 500GB drive in the other bay? I guess I will still be able to use the setup but not the RAID, right? Will performance be affected?
    Thanks,
    /S

    So far I've not found a single USB DVD player that didn't work with the Mac. BluRay is a bit trickier since you'll also need 3rd party software to play commercial BluRay movies because the  Mac OS doesn't support BluRay.
    A NAS is useful under three circumstances: 1) you want to access data from the drive when you aren't at home. 2) you have more than one computer in the household and want to share that drive with them and/or 3) you want to take advantage of RAID technology. And even here a NAS isn't the only way to accomplish this.
    If none of these hold true for you then save your money and get a high quality external drive - I recommend OWC to one and all. (I have no affiliation, I'm a very satisfied customer.) You might even want to consider OWC's miniStack Max which contains both a hard drive and optical drive.

  • Where should I put WHENEVER SQLERROR CONTINUE clause?

    Hi all,
    this is my situation:
    I have 2 compiled packages and one compiled procedure which uses the 2 packages. I want to start the procedure with sql*plus.
    To do this, I wrote a script and start the script from sql*plus:
    SQL> @start_proc.sqlThe start_proc.sql script looks like this:
    SET SERVEROUTPUT ON
    SET ECHO OFF
    SET TERMOUT OFF
    WHENEVER SQLERROR CONTINUE
    SPOOL /home/scott/proc_out.txt
    BEGIN
      SCHEMA1.TEST_PR;
      COMMIT;
    END;
    SPOOL OFFThe question is, where should i put the statement WHENEVER SQLERROR CONTINUE ?
    In the current position, the procedure does not start at all. If I remove the statement completely, then I get error on the first record and the procedure does not go on with the rest of the records...

    Thanks for your follow-up, Frank.
    The bigger picture (imo, hence the "-ism") is still:
    When it comes down to error-handling, the world suddenly gets very complicated and turns into all shades of grey, for many years.
    (But actually it should be simple: quit when unexpected things happen)
    The Developer has done his/her best, based on inputs
    The DBA has done his/her best, based on inputs
    The Architect/Designer has done his/her best, based on inputs
    The Manager has done his/her best, based on inputs
    The Client/CST has done his/her best, based on being client/CST
    Funny thing is: whenever I mail/call CST asking for additional input, usually things make sense...
    I dare say: when things go wrong, let them go wrong.
    Propagate the message to another human, who probably didn't think of that/expected it to happen.

  • Where should I put the sevlet

    I just started to work with Tomcat and I compiled the helloWorld sevlet.
    It's said from a book that the sevlet should be placed in serlver_root/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes, however there isn't a "classes" folder in my WEB-INF folder. So I put the helloWorld sevlet in the WEB-INF folder.
    Then I type http://localhost:8080/servlet/helloworld in my browser, I get a message from the sever said "The requested resource (/servlet/HelloWorld) is not available".
    Could anybody tell me how can solve this prolbem, where should I put the sevelt?

    have ones more a look to your book - especially to information about the configuration file "web.xml" which also should be placed in the WEB-INF folder. This file defines which servlets should be found by the server and which request-URL should be mapped to this servlet.
    for examples concerning the web.xml file see those already defined in your server. copy one and edit it for your needs. if you really want to understand what else might be configured using web.xml see the DTD for this file - it's pretty good documented!
    hope it helps :)

  • Where should I put my code?

    Where should I put my code, on the buttons and other items in question, or in a separate Layer, referencing the items I need...?
    Background :
    I'm REALLY new to Flash with Adobe.  I've used SwishMax a little in the past, but nothing of recent.
    At work there's a project where I'm getting to use FlashPro CS6 and I've run into an odd issue with code to move forwards, backwards, and back to the beggining on 3 different buttons.
    It's in a layer called Actions, and on frame 1 - And remember... uber newbie here folks, so forgive any glaring issues in my code that most people would see quickly...
    //NEXT BUTTON
    NEXT_BUT.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, nb_mouseDownHandler);
    function nb_mouseDownHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
              this.nextFrame();
    //MAIN MENU BUTTON
    MAINMEN.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, mm_mouseDownHandler);
    function mm_mouseDownHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
              gotoAndStop(1, "Scene 1");
    //BACK BUTTON
    BACK_BUT.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, bb_mouseDownHandler);
    function bb_mouseDownHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
         this.prevFrame();
    The code for the first two work's exactly as I need, the code for the back button, initially it only appeared on from the second frame onwards, but during debugging I've popped it on all pages.  On the first frame, it takes you back to a black page with nothing on it, on all others it does absolutely nothing...
    Another question as I've written above, should my code be in a separate layer regerencing the items it needs to affect, or... as a colleague told me in a ridiculously over the top brimming with distaste, create layers for each item, or groups of items and place the code in there...  which to me, see's odd...
    Thanks once again in advance, and I'm sorry to post such a newbie question, but the internet gives mixed anwers, not specific to my situation.
    Tim.

    In AS3 you cannot put code on buttons and other items like you could with AS1 and AS2.  Beyond that, your choices are to place code in the timeline frame(s) or in separate actionscript files.  While there are a number of recommended best practices, what usually works best is whatever you are able to understand and work with at the time.  While there are benefits to having all code located in one place (a frame or a file) since it makes finding it much easier, when you are creating a timeline-based design, that is not always a possible/practical approach.
    Over time you will gain experience with the different approaches and can make the choice based on that experience.

  • Which listener should be used for JTextArea

    Hi,
    I need to add a listener for JTextArea particualy when
    the text in the jtextarea is changed. I don't think
    mouse listener is enough, since the user can use tab to
    get to the jtextarea and edit the text. In this case,
    which listener should I use. Sample code would be
    helpful.
    In addition, I have a problem with the jtextarea that
    when user uses tab to go to different gui components,
    such as jtextfield, jcombobox, jtextarea, jlist, etc, the
    tab stays in the jtextarea and keeps appending to it. It does
    not go to next component, such as jlist. How can I make it
    work?
    Thanks in advance,
    Pin

    It doesn't work. Are you using 1.4 or 1.3? I am using
    1.4.
    In the 1.4 API, it says that isManagingFocus is
    "Deprecated".
    Here is what I have:
    JTextArea descrptArea = new JTextArea() {
    public boolean isManagingFocus() {
    return false;
    descrptArea.setRows(3);
    descrptArea.setLineWrap(true);
    descrptArea.addKeyListener(new KeyAdapter() {
    public void keyTyped(KeyEvent e) {
    // DO SOMETHING
    I found the following code which says it will do it.
    However, I got the exeception:
    java.lang.ClassCastException:
    n: javax.swing.KeyStroke
    at java.util.TreeMap.compare(TreeMap.java:1081)
    at java.util.TreeMap.put(TreeMap.java:459)
    at java.util.TreeSet.add(TreeSet.java:205)
    Set forwardTraversalKeys = new TreeSet();
    forwardTraversalKeys.add(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke('\t'));
    forwardTraversalKeys.add(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEven
    .VK_TAB,
    InputEvent.CTRL_MASK));
    textArea.setFocusTraversalKeys
    (KeyboardFocusManager.FORWARD_TRAVERSAL_KEYS,
    forwardTraversalKeys);
    Set backwardTraversalKeys = new TreeSet();
    backwardTraversalKeys.add(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEve
    t.VK_TAB,
    InputEvent.SHIFT_MASK));
    backwardTraversalKeys.add(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEve
    t.VK_TAB,
    InputEvent.SHIFT_MASK |InputEvent.CTRL_MASK));
    textArea.setFocusTraversalKeys(
    KeyboardFocusManager.BACKWARD_TRAVERSAL_KEYS,
    backwardTraversalKeys);
    Any idea???
    PinI'm not using 1.4 but the class cast exceptions look like they come from : Set forwardTraversalKeys=new TreeSet() etc
    try : TreeSet forwardTraversalKeys=new TreeSet()
    you cant cast from a Set to a TreeSet because a TreeSet is a Set but a Set is NOT a TreeSet.
    hope this helps.
