Which client i should give when Installing J2EE add On?

Hi all,
I am installing XI 3.0/windows 2003. While installing
J2EE addon it is asking for
DDIC password =
Client =
I have 000 and i created 100.
1. Can i use 000 here?
(Because i am getting password invalid error when i use 100, I made sure password is working fine nu logging fromsap gui, changes it re tested it but still have problem )
2. If i already used 000, what are my options.

Fortunately, You don't have reinstall from scratch or uninstall j2ee.

above is the link for the xi install guide. in page 16 of the document it details about the tasks that needs to be done if you missed the client copy before j2ee install.

We tried twice clean installation, after removing j2ee dir, SCS and
resp profiles and droping PSAPQSSDB tablespace and SAPQSSDB user.
I have also confirmed the passwords in ABAP system/000 for SAPJSF, DDIC, J2EE_ADMIN, J2EE_GUEST.
We are getting the same error in both tries.
Kindly advice us to resolve the problem.

you saved my day! I've been banging my head against the wall with this same problem during a J2EE add-in installation for SRM 4.0 on Windows, in preparation of an LAC 2.0 installation. I had tried deleting the schema first, but that didn't work. After I removed the sys\global\security folder as well, it worked perfectly.

could you check the errors in the XCMDOUT.LOG file (in your installation-dir) and/or knldiag (and knldiag.err) file (in your SAPDB/MaxDB Rundirector(/sapdb/data/wrk/<SID>)?
The error information in those files should help to get clear on your problem.

Af:query - which client event is raised when selecting a saved search

Is there a client event raised when selecting a different saved search in the af:query panel?
I thought it would be propertyChange but that doesn't seem to work.
Using JDev / ADF 11.1.2.1.0

I can think of one way... Like Frank said, you could try hooking up a query operation listener in a backing bean and use QueryOperationEvent to get what you want.
Then you could use the ExtendedRenderKitService to execute/inject javascript on the page.

Before considering workarounds I was trying to clarify the expected behaviour (i.e. +which of the client events if any, is intended to be raised when you switch a saved search?+)
e.g. af:query raises the client event called 'query' (while on a server side managed bean you can listen for QueryEvent as mentioned earlier in the thread).
[To quickly see the list of client events, you can add an af:clientListener under af:query and look at the available options]

Which ID i should provide

It's sounds a bit stupid. I'm using a Airport Extreme in a Static IP network. The network will distributing IP based on pre-registered MAC address. From the back of the Device, there's two ID number 'Airport ID' And 'Ethernet ID' which one i should give it to admin as registered MAC address? Thanks for the answer

If it is connected via wireless it would be the "AirPort ID".

Error occured while installing the add-on CPRXRPM 400

We planned to install cProject suite for our system and downloaded the
add-on. When installing the add-on CPRXRPM 400 we got the error
message "Conflict with Add-Ons". The conflict is between this add-on
(CPRXRPM 400) and the support package (SAPKA70013) of the component
SAP_ABA.

I see, by your participation, posted: May 29, 2009, that you installed the add-on CPRXRPM 400 and, after the replay of Florian Arnold, you have installated 450 version and it do not have any dependencies like in 400 version.
Iu2019m installing ECC6 SR2 and I can install CPRXRPM 400 or CPRXRPM 450_700.
My problems are the sequence and the level!
Can you tell me which sequence must I follow? Can you give me directions?
And which level must have any component?

I am getting an error while doing installation of Jaba Add-Ins on existing ABAP.
Iam doing installation on AS/400 server having operating system OS/400.
Error appears at the end when instalaltion starts.

HI,
Are you installing J2EE Add-in with SSL option activated ? If so, I think there is some IAIK/SSL libraries that have to presented on server to proceed with installation successfully. You can also try installing Add-in without SSL/https option activated and configure SSL afterwards.

Well, no other pre-reqs than normal - you'll need to get the guide for WAS640 J2EE only.
This is fairly stratght forward actually. I assume you have a production client set-up on this ECC box - like a client 100, 500, whatever,
Make sure your hardware can handle this - you'll need 1.5GB min of RAM (not SWAP) to enable a J2EE instance.
Other than that, grab your installation master CD, the J2EE compoents CDs, and start SAPINST. Select the option for a J2EE add-on instance.
That's it. It's quite simple really.

When recompiling the the Add-On exe, you have to recompile the installer as well. Now you have to recreate your .ard file. This will then allow you to install the Add-On.
The 'invalid Digital Signature' message will pop up when you try to install an installer .exe file with an .ard file that has not been updated. (Remember you must add the installer .exe file path to the registration window and not the Add-On .exe path)

I'm new to J2EE. Trying some examples on Servlet. But I've the error messages stating that it can't locate the javax.servlet.* classes like the ones below:

You need to have $J2EE_HOME/lib/j2ee.jar in your CLASSPATH when compiling your servlet

Gives ORA-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error when installing oracle 10g

I tried to install oracle 10g r2 in server 2008. but it gives ORA-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error when installing. how I can fix this issue??? please help me ASAP. because its urgent.

Welcome to the forums !
Pl indicate which version of 10g you are installing and on which version of Win 2008. Neither 10gR1 nor 10gR2 are certified to be installed on Win 2008 R1, AFAIK.
For 10gR2, only 10.2.0.5 is certified for Win 2008 R2 - see MOS Doc 1173433.1 (How to Install Oracle 10.2.0.5 on MS Windows 7 / Windows 2008R2)
Also see MOS Doc 740926.1 (Where can I find the Database / Client software to download for Microsoft Vista, or Windows 2008R1?).
Both 10gR1 and 10gR2 are now in extended support - is there a reason you are not using 11gR2 ?
