Hi Guys
I am planning to buy a external drive for my Ibook 1.42 ghz . I have a focusrite saffire . so i am primarily lookign for a Firewire drive so that i can daisy chain it with saffire . I have been usign lacie. is there and other brand you guys would sugest.
Secondly i am also thinkign of buying the Yamaha O1x controller is it a good controller .. If not which controller i should be lookign for my logic setup
Cheers

    Hi rafi,
Custom Controller  Custom Controller is as same as the component controller, here we can write the business logic.
Custom Controller means developer can create multiple controller denpeing up work.
By using component controller we cant create multipule contrllers. when we create the DC that time it will be created automatically.

  • D20 Blue Screen loading Windows 7-64bit using Intel controller and Marvell enabled

    Hi, Help,
    Hardware:
D20, 4158, Four 500GB Seagate SATA drives configured as a RAID10 1TB virtual disk (partitioned into five logical drives).
    Goal:
Recover or repair a degraded RAID array.
I want to be able to launch Windows 7-64bit using the Intel controller and have it access the virtual disk of the degraded RAID array attached to the Marvell controller.  Subsequently, I want to use the Marvell MRU utility to repair/recover the situation.
    Situation/Issue:
Things ran well for two years and two months until yesterday.  Now, when booting I see:
1962: No operating system found. Press F1 to repeat boot sequence.
If I use the Windows 7 installation CD and load the Marvell driver, the attempt to recover the operating system reports that the MBR is corrupt and cannot be repaired.
If I boot with the Marvell controller disabled in the D20 BIOS, using a Windows 7 installation (with Marvell drivers) attached to the Intel controller, everything works except (of course) I cannot access the RAID drives.
If I reboot with the Marvell controller enabled, using the same Windows 7 installation via Intel controller, I see a "Starting Windows" announcement followed by a flash of the blue screen of death.
The BSOD message is unspecific, no error code, just...
"A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen,
    restart your computer..."
    Additional information:
If I access the Marvell BIOS (ctrl-M) and look at Devices, one of the four Seagate drives has status FREE instead of status ASSIGNED.  If I run the Marvell BIOS verify disk utility diagnosic on that FREE status disk, I get a fault error after about 30 minutes of scanning.  So, one Seagate disk is sour and somehow the MBR was corrupted at the same time.
    History:
Two years ago, during the intial configuration, I could access the Marvell RAID disks from this Intel-controller-booted Windows 7 installation, but my fuzzy memory is that I had to change something in the D20 BIOS, such as the AHCI setting or similar.
    Status:
Today, using the Intel controller to boot Windows 7 with the Marvell controller enabled is just BSOD.  What am I missing or failing to do or set?
Thank you in advance for any help and ideas.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Update:
I replaced the 500GB Seagate disk with a new 500GB Seagate.  I ran the Marvell BIOS verify disk utility on the new disk drive and it passed with no errors.  Following the steps given in the Marvell MRU online help, I rebuilt the virtual disk.  Upon completion (which took a little more than an hour to complete), I rebooted.  Before the Seagate disk went south yesterday, the Marvell virtual disk contained one primary partition (C, and four NTFS drives (D:, E:, F:, and Z.  Now it contains three primary NTFS drives (C:, F:, and Z.  An extended partition contains D: (an unformatted volume of size 199.30MB) and an unused space of 199.30GB.
    Event log:
Looking at the event log, Windows reports that the disk in question raised a warning yesterday.  Three messages share the same timestamp (all from mv64xx (a Marvell process):
"Physical disk 16 is plugged out."
    "Virtual disk 0 is degraded."
"Physical disk 16 is plugged in."
    Eight seconds later, UserPnp logs:
"Driver Management has concluded the process to add Service disk for Device Instance ID SCSI\DISK&VEN_SEAGATE&PROD_ST3500418AS&REV_CC38\5&248BBE23&0&000100 with the following status: 0"
    One second later, UserPnp logs:
"Driver Management concluded the process to install driver FileRepository\disk.inf_amd64_neutral_10ce25bbc5a9cc43\disk.inf for Device Instance ID SCSI\DISK&VEN_SEAGATE&PROD_ST3500418AS&REV_CC38\5&248BBE23&0&000100 with the following status: 0x0."
    Questions:
Is it possible that UserPnp corrupted the Marvell virtual disk after an intermittent physical disk unplugged/plugged-in event that happened when the Seagate hardware went failed.  It looks to me like my D: and E: are toast despite RAID 10.
Any ideas?  Is there anyway to recover the Marvell virtual disk configuration to the state prior to the hardware failure?  If not, what good is RAID 10?
My apologies for the long posting, but I am an old software guy who does not understand the intricacies of RAID and disk management.
Thank you in advance for any leads toward a solution,
      -John

  • Multimedia Audio Controller, and Video Controller(VGA compatible) are missing on Windows XP(32Bit) SP3

    Hi.
My Desktop Computer(Intel P 4, 512MB of RAM, and Graphics Card  with 256MB of RAM)
Also, My Desktop Computer with P 4 doesn't have any access internet since there is no network adapter is installed. As a result, I would not be able to run the pc scan utility, or  Reader a web-based applet that identifies my GPU or Audio controller
and finds the latest graphics driver for my GPU, and Audio.
I have two Windows XP installations:
Windows XP SP2(32Bit) which is old and it seems it infected by some viruses.
I have installed another fresh clean Windows XP(32Bit) SP3. However, I have two devices not detected well by Windows XP.
First of all, when saying that I have multi-operationgs systems, I mean there are two operating systems installed on my PC(SP2, SP3) both are 32Bit. The first Windows SP2(NOT installed by me) has all multimedia audio card installed well,
and has SCSI and RAID Host Controller shown the device manager. However, only the VGA is not installed on Windows SP2. However, the second one Windows SP3(Installed by me) has VGA not installed, Multimedia audio NOT installed, and there is no SCSI and RAID
    Host Controller in device manager.
First:  Yes, my motherboard has integrated video, and integrated audio card
According to the screen shots above, then
The vendor ID of Multimedia Audio Controller  is 8086 and the device ID is
    24D5.
The vendor ID of Video Controller  is 8086 and the device ID is
    2572.
I AM EXPECTING THAT KNOWING THE VENDOR ID AND THE DEVICE ID WILL LET ME QUICKLY FIND THE APPROPRIATE  DRIVER. HOWEVER, I COULDN'T FIND THE APPROPRIATE DRIVER.
Thus, could you please help me to find them?
I have tried installing a soundMAX card  driver, however, I found this error.
I have checked the other Windows XP SP2(32Bit) which is oder installed, and it seems it infected by some viruses.
However, the Multimedia Audio on that Windows is installed well. As here: I only posted these screen shots to show what kind of device is Multimedia Audio Card

  • Diff between Component controller,Custome controller and  View controller

    hi,
Can any body tell me the following details,
1.difference between the Component controller,Custome controller and  View controller in WD-ABAP.?
    2.what is Lead Selection?
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi.
The component controller is visbile to all views in a component. So all context nodes and methods you create here can be accessed from all views in the component. This way you can share data between the views by mapping context nodes or thru method calls. You can also mark methods and nodes as interface so that they are acessable from other components that define component usages to this cmponent.
Custom controller is quiet similar to the component controller. You can define it if you want to group some views with a custom controller for a certain functionality.
If you want to access a custom controller in a view you have to define the usage first on the properties tab of the view.
A view controller is only visible in the view itself. So all methods or context nodes you define here are only accesable by the current view.
The lead selection is in most cases the current selected element in a context node. The lead selection is used by many UI elements to determine which element has to be shown (e.g drop down).
If you have a table with single selection the current selected table row is the lead selection element of the bound context node.
SO you can get the lead selection element easily in any mthod by calling context_node->get_element( ).
    Hope this clears your questions.
    Cheers,
    Sascha

  • Network controller and pci device driver missing for Toshiba Sattelite c55t b5109

After resetting windows 8.1, I only my ethernet works and I cant turn my wifi. I looked in the device manger, and under "unknown devices" are listed Network Controller and PCI Device with yellow alerts near them. I know that these are related to the wireless card, but everytime I try to update them they say that there is no driver for them.
    These are their hardware id's:
    Network Controller:
    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_083211AD&REV_01

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

search your laptop for the Toshiba application installer, open it and use it to install your Wireles lan driver.
The application installer is easier than guessing which one you need from your support page.
    OR
Your support page is here - http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=1200008391
You can select the drivers tab then down the page on the left hand side select Windows 8.1 64 bit to narrow down the drivers for your operating system. Then also select Wifi and the available drivers will be displayed.
If you are getting a corrupted system after a reset your hard drive may be failing or your recovery partition may have been corrupted .  Create your recovery media if you have not done so already.

  • Wireless controller and Acess points

    Hi
which protocal is used between wlc and acess point. and what is  CAPWAP.

which protocal is used between wlc and acess point.
It used to be called LWAPP but now it's called CAPWAP.
    Access Point Communication Protocols
In controller software release 5.2 or later, Cisco lightweight access points use the IETF standard Control and Provisioning of Wireless Access Points protocol (CAPWAP) to communicate between the controller and other lightweight access points on the network. Controller software releases prior to 5.2 use the Lightweight Access Point Protocol (LWAPP) for these communications.
CAPWAP, which is based on LWAPP, is a standard, interoperable protocol that enables a controller to manage a collection of wireless access points. CAPWAP is being implemented in controller software release 5.2 for these reasons:
•To provide an upgrade path from Cisco products that use LWAPP to next-generation Cisco products that use CAPWAP
•To manage RFID readers and similar devices
•To enable controllers to interoperate with third-party access points in the future
LWAPP-enabled access points can discover and join a CAPWAP controller, and conversion to a CAPWAP controller is seamless. For example, the controller discovery process and the firmware downloading process when using CAPWAP are the same as when using LWAPP. The one exception is for Layer 2 deployments, which are not supported by CAPWAP.
You can deploy CAPWAP controllers and LWAPP controllers on the same network. The CAPWAP-enabled software allows access points to join either a controller running CAPWAP or LWAPP. The only exception is the Cisco Aironet 1140 Series Access Point, which supports only CAPWAP and therefore joins only controllers running CAPWAP. For example, an 1130 series access point can join a controller running either CAPWAP or LWAPP whereas an 1140 series access point can join only a controller running CAPWAP.
    Guidelines for Using CAPWAP

  • Which battery module serves which controller?

I have an original XServe RAID with only the drives served by the lower controller populated. It has been in service since about 2003, if memory serves. I have a few questions:
    1) How can I tell if the cache batteries are any good? The RAID admin software seems to perpetually have them in a discharge conditioning cycle of 87-90%
    2) Which battery module serves which controller (I only want to replace one if I have to)
    TIA,
    Will

The battery modules are redundant. They both serve both controllers, and one of the batteries can back up the caches for the specified 72 hours.
That said, if they're 5 years old, they're probably getting old. I doubt they'd each work for 72 hours. They're only $300 for the pair; it's probably worth replacing both if you value your data
Also note that drives that are 5 years old are getting long in the tooth as well. Have you had any failures yet? Most data center operators would replace the drives at the 4 year mark, and certainly by 5. A MTBF of 500,000 to 1 million hours doesn't really mean you should run them that long

  • Which devices and software excatly need I?

    Hi,

But is there anything? I dont understand why need i chassis and controller?
With just Ni 2937, 6216 and labview, can i do this regulation?

    kThanks!
and May I have an other question? I should create a connect between a DAQ and a pressure relief, liek this. Is there any adapter to connect them?

  • Help with wireless controller and VLANs

Hi I'm trying to setup a wireless controller in preparation for a large site go live later this year. I'm struggling to get the controller and the WLAN using the correct VLAN. I want the controller on VLAN 100 and the clients on the WLAN on VLAN 200.
My thought is that I would need a config similar to:
Switchport for wireless controller management port set to trunk VLAN 100 and 200 with no native VLAN set.
The management interface on the controller set to VLAN 100.
A dynamic interface created on VLAN 200.
When setup like this I can get to the controller on its management address but only from VLAN100 not from another VLAN on site or from other sites over the WAN.
I have setup a WLAN which is set to use the dynamic interface on VLAN 200.
I have set the AP to use HREAP and set the native VLAN as 200 and added the dynamic interface into the VLAN mappings
When I connecting a client to the WLAN I get an address on VLAN 100.
The switchport for the AP is set to native VLAN 100 and trunk 200 – this setup works for standalone APs at other sites.
    What am I missing?
Also any idea why the management interface address is not routing? The netmask and gateway are set correctly.
    Thanks
    Paul

Just to add to Steve's post... You only need to create a dynamic interface for vlan 200 if you have ap's also in local mode.  If your ap's are in H-REAP/FlexConnect mode, you don't need a dynamic interface for vlan 200.
In you H-REAP/FlexConnect ap, you would set the wlan to vlan mapping there and the switchport configuration would be a trunk allowing vlan 100 (im assuming your native vlan for your ap) and vlan 200.  You should see something like the following:

You have a few things you need to look into:
When you installed the software, did it install a USB > Virtual Com Port dll such as FTDIchip or similar? If so, when you hook up your device, it'll reveal itself as a normal (new) Com Port in Device Manager. You then need to try to talk to that com port.
If you are trying to use the native USB on the board (as MAX has detected for you), then you'll need to use the .NET framework code provided by the manufacturer (probably written in C#), and make your own Constructors in LabVIEW. If you've never done this, it isn't trivial.
I would call the manufacturer and just tell them what you are trying to do. They've probably dealt with LabVIEW before, and may have an example to get you started.
edit: For fun, I followed the link you provided (which doesn't really work). I searched their site for "LabVIEW", and indeed got several hits. This one thing I downloaded (can't resist looking at code) was a gigantic turd ball. However, it did appear to use a normal Com port.

  • 5 wireless controller and roaming security

i want to connect 5 wlan controller to core switch with 470 ap . client must roaming and dont have disconnect. what security must configured

    Stephen,
I dropped these questions in the Ask the Expert forum, but they are relevant here:
Our intention is to use the Mobility Group to distribute AP connections among many controllers on several campuses for redundancy in the event of catastrophic failure. With this in mind, several questions arise as to how this can be achieved:
    1. What is the formula by which an AP, once it has a list of candidate controllers to join, chooses a specific controller? We understand it has something to do with the number of APs and clients a controller is managing, but what are the quantitative criteria/tiebreakers in the AP decision process? What are the relative/absolute values?
    2. If we use DHCP Option 43 to point to the APs to a Master Controller, and subsequently re-assign via the controller GUI the APs Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary controllers, will the APs automatically join the Primary, or do they have to be rebooted? And if rebooted, will these WLC assignments override the DHCP Option 43 if not changed?
    3. In the above setup, will the AP stop searching for available controllers if the Pri/Sec/Ter WLC assignments fail? Can other, unassigned controllers in the Mobility Group provide a connection for an AP? Or is N + 1 + 1 the limit?
    4. Assuming the AP tries them in sequential order, can we place all WLCs in a Mobility Group inside Option 43, or is it limited to 3 entries like the controller-based assignment?

I cannot get a 2006 controller to talk with 1020 AP's. I can get my 1240's to talk no problem, however the 1020's don't want to cooperate.
I haven't changed the configuration on the controller, and I am using the same switchports.
    Thoughts?

can somebody explain this a little more in detail where exactly should i put those special strings? on DHCP server? or DNS server?
i am also confused with those DHCP servers..
    my example:
i have VLAN1 for management with DHCP server 172.16.1.5 for that subnet. All APs should get addresses from that pool.
then i have VLAN20 for traffic with other DHCP 192.168.1.5 for that subnet. All clients should get addresses from that pool.
i linked management and AP-management interfaces on physical port 1.
i created dynamic interface "traffic" for VLAN20 and linked it to physical port 2.
    my questions are:
    1. while configuring WLC management interface which address should i use for DHCP server?
    2. same question for configuring AP-management interface
    3. is there any less complicated tutorial on the net for step-by-step configuring 2006 WLC and 1020 APs on the net? (some of us are still real beginners).
any help will be more than welcomed

  • Coupling between component controller and view controller

    Hello,
I have seen some discussions in this forum regarding the possibilities of calling / triggering a view controllers's method from a component controller's method;  obviously the Web Dynpro framework only provides for the other direction (view ctrl -> comp ctrl) via handle <i>wd_comp_controller</i>.
Some people proposed raising events in the comp controller and catching these in the view controller, others pointed out that any dependance of a view controller on a component controller would violate MVC principles.
Now, I can't see why a tighter coupling (in both ways) between controllers within one component would harm MVC in any way. So I suggest to "register" a view controller in the pertaining component controller if necessary:
    this_controller = wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
    wd_comp_controller->register_view_ctrl_XYZ( this_controller ).
This way the component controller can save the reference and later call any method on it. What do you think, does anything argue against this practice?
    Regards,
    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,
I wouldn't try to explain whether it is violating the MVC principles or not.
Can you please explain how to call methods of view using the view controller?
have you tried using an example???
I want to give a small example which I think is a basic disadvantage of calling View methods from component controller.
Suppose I have 30 methods in a view and such 7 views in a component (I think this is a very common example).
Till now one is very clear that if I have a method in view, it will be called at maximum by other methods with in the view. That means at any point of time, my search is limited to 30 methods.
Now if component controller can also call my search will become horrible and spread to 210 methods, unless otherwise, you are very good at naming attributes and wont make the mistake of assigning attributes wrongly.
Imagine the effort if the outside components also access these methods through interface.
Also I dont think that the webdynpro phase model can support this way of calling view methods. You might be successful once, but then you are trying to open a can of worms.
This is my way of thinking...
Also, it would be great if you can tell me whether you are successful in calling views methods or not???
    Thanks,
    Anand
