Which data channel is used by BB10's for ActiveSync?

Can anyone tell me for for sure if a BB10 uses the normal mobile data plan or the BB data plan to connect to a corporate Exchange server via ActiveSync (No BES server)?
We have a group of employees that are still on 9900's in the Middle East that we would like to upgrade to Z10's. They are currently on a BES5 server that is slated to be retired, but the company would prefer to just have them connect directly without moving to a BES10 server. The problem is that their BB data plan roams ok between the countries they have to visit, but the regular data plans do not. I need to make sure that upgrading to Z10 without a BES can still use the roaming ability of the BB data plan.

A BB data plan will usually work on BB10, though it's not required anymore.

I have a requirement here in which i want to see that which data source is used by the composites deployed on SOA.
I dont have the code.
Is there any quick way to do it(from console or backend without downloading the code)

You can export the jar file from the EM console.
1) Login to EM console
2) Right click on the composite and select Export and With default options click on Export button
Find the data source name from the exported code.
Mark the posting appropriately as "helpful" or "correct answer", if your issue is solved.

Always use client 000, except for solution manager systems.

Always use client 000 as a template, and never client 001. (A known exception is the SAP Solution Manager.)
Do not copy any application data from client 000 because the consistency of data and the number ranges cannot be guaranteed.
Only client 000 is populated with upgrades, Legal Change Packages, Support Packages, language imports and so on with new Customizing so that it always contains the current sample Customizing. This is why it is also so important that the copy is only carried out after the system is updated. Client 001, on the other hand, is obsolete. I'm hesitant about what data structure to use (best efficient one) in the following scenario
At a given moment I have an ordered set of data such as:
(1,3,6,9,10)
and a current value (by instance, 11)
Then I need to access the LAST one (10) and
If my value is greater I will add it to the list. In this example I will add 11 so the list will be (1,3,6,9,10,11)
On the other hand, as a second step, I will iterate on the list as follows: I will get the first element, do something, then remove it, and go to next one until the list is empty. Therefore, basically I will access always the first element on the list.
I don't really care about the elements in the middle.
Which data structure do you suggest me to use?
I was thinking on Queue (easy to access the head, and extract one by one in order), but I don't know how to get the tail element (10 in this case), as it is the one that tells me if I have to add another element...

There are various whitepapers and the like on this.
As far as which objects may be collected, it's just any object that isn't referred to - directly or indirectly - by one of the root set of threads in the JVM.
Collecting algorithms vary from jvm to jvm. You'd do better to search the web for a whitepaper on the subject.

when I use the advised strategy of copying its icon to the icon in the info page of the program, I get a change -- but to the generic icon for jpg files, rather than the actual image of the content of the particular file.

You can convert the jpeg file to an icon file and use that as the image, with this application: img2icns
Drag the jpg onto img2icns window, save it as an icon. Copy and paste this as per the method you mentioned previously.

I have a quicktime movie. Should I export from the quicktime player to iPod setting or should I go through compressor?
The last time I did it through both applications-- Quicktime was fast--Compressor took a while but the quality of them looked the same.

Which data source of many to use, based on user entry of month

Looking for hints relating to BEx queries inside the Web Application Designer's web templates.
Currently a query is using 1 very, very large data source, such as payroll records.
If data is divided into smaller portions, such as monthly data sources....
How can we:
- establish a link between the variable entry screen where the user selects 1 specific month and
- force the query to return results from that 1 month's data source?
In other words, we are looking for a way to build intelligence into the query for it to make a decision about which data source to use, based upon the parameters that end user enters.... with the hopes that the process will return the results faster, because it has less data to weed thru to get to the results.

As U said the datasource is a huge one. Now let's say these datasource is feeding its data to only 1 cube IC1. After the data to the cube is loaded, there will be huge junk of data from the source, so, inorder to improve the reporting performance with respect to this cube you got different options of creating Indexes, Aggregates etc., on to this cube. Again coming the BEx, there also U have other options to improve your query performance.
As per your requirement, U want to display data with respect to a month which the end user enters. For this I guess U can have a variable entry for the time characteristic Calendar Month/Year. By this way, U can get the desired results for the query. I suggest, U can even improve the performance by having range values (or) single value restrictions on the time characteristic Calendar Month/Year, if U are sure for which calendar months (or) years the data is to be queried upon.

I have a basic simple understanding and explainantion. You get some raw data from a system such as R/3 which you apply transfer rules and transformations. Applying this will help us remove any inconsistencies, and standardizing the data we get from R/3. After this process, we have the data ready which can be stored in the Infocube/ DSO. Thus, Infocube contains data that is cleansed and standardized. Now, since you have the data ready, you design queries on the Infocube, which will generate reports according to the requirements. These reports will be used for analysis of all the data presented in the report through appropriate query.

and to really test if the windows firewall is the problem then try turning it off!
if that scare you too much then disable the internet modem / cable modem or the likes while you test
always remove more and more factors when troubleshooting sooner or later it will work and you can narrow down which factor did the job and work on that
