Which Data Option is the right one?

Hello everybody,
we are using our BES Server since 2 months now, but we aren´t really sure about what blackberry option we should use. Thats why i am hoping for some users that already have experience in this topic to help us
Our current options:
-> Internet Flatrate
-> Blackberry option 5MB
Our customers do need to download attachments so the settings are:
-> Blackberry uses internet connection
-> attachments up to 1MB allowed
-> users get between 5 and 50 mails per day
We were told that the 5 MB option should be enough, but to be honest i cant believe that. I found out that a 500 KB pdf is compressed to about 300 KB. We also know, that surfing via internet is much less secure then surfing over the BES, so if this is possible we would also like to make people surf over the blackberry.
The Blackberry options we could chose are: 5MB, 50MB and 300MB
So does anyone have experience what option to choose in such a case? We are thinking about using a larger blackberry option, with a small internet option if this is possible with our provider....

I'm unsure if you are referring to what data plan you should choose from a wireless provider. However, if you are planning on performing an Enterprise Activation on the device, this requires a BlackBerry "Enterprise" Data Plan. This will allow the device to activate and synchronize Exchnage data. Unless you go with a lesser plan and only want to configure a POP or IMAP connection.

Which MacBook Pro is the right one for me?

At the moment I'm using a MacBook Pro 15" early 2011, 2.0 i7, 8GB Ram, AMD 6490M and an SSD. The most used applications are ArchiCAD, Adobe Suite, Rhinoceros, Cinema 4D. Half of the time the MacBook Pro is connected to a Thunderbold Display.
My question is, is the Iris Pro good enough for these applications? Or should I take the bigger one with the 750m?
May there will be an update für the MacBook Pros at the WWDC?

If they follow the same path as last year (2013) it would stand to reason that there won't be a new machine until October of this year, since there were early and late models of the MacBook Pro last year. However, Apple usually follows a twice-a-year release so that would make this the mid-year state. I don't see them doing that (I may be wrong, of course) but there's simply no new technology beyond that which was released in the Late 2013 models.
Just wait and in a couple of weeks, we'll both know!

Right click next to one of the other headers and you will get a pop-up to enable the missing ones.

How can i find out which Macbook is the right one for me?

I am looking into buying anew laptop and I'm currently considering a macbook as oppose to a windows laptop. which one is the right one for me?
1. I will be using it for my work at college and university so it will need to have a reasonable amount of storage and have the correct programs.
2. I use the internet alot.
3. I have an ipod touch so i will need storage for my music.
4. It will need it to be quite quick.
5. It will need to support some software that i use on windows.
Also, do you think a macbook is what i need as oppose to windows. what are the pros and cons of the macbook

This is the most important question. I would check with your school. They may have a recommendation for what you need and the software you will need to use. They also may have a discount program for you to purchase your computer. If not Apple does have an education discount plan to give you a break.

Hard to give an answer for this as we have no idea what your going to be using or what your school requires you to use. My sons college had specific programs he had to have.

Most likely, you have a web plugin that depends on the Java runtime distributed by Apple, such as the Facebook video calling plugin or the "NexDef" plugin for watching baseball streams. If you no longer need the plugin, remove it. Otherwise, install Java.

Which Library is the right one?

I couldn't find this answer by searching the site so sorry if it is already here. I'd appreciate a pretty 'dumbed down' reply that is easy to follow since I don't know all that much about computers. tia
About 6 months ago I transferred all of my iTunes files to an external hard drive and I have iTunes set up to run off of those files (at least I think so, they are not on my c drive anymore)
I just bought my husband an iPod and I followed the instructions to create a new library for him by using the hold shift when you open iTunes method.
Everything is fine with that, but when I hold shift to go back to my own library it prompts me to select the library of course, and there are several versions of my iTunes library (in addition to the one I just made for DH). I selected the one that I think is the most recent and when it opened it couldn't find the files for 90% of my songs (they all have exclamation points by them) so I guess my question is - how do I combine all of my various iTunes libraries from over the years into one so I can have one for me and one for my husband and it will be easy to select when we hold shift and open?

I have made a new library, but I'm not sure what you mean by "the folders" do you mean the old libraries that I moved, because I tried that and it still forces me to pick one when I open iTunes and none of them are the right one with all of my music it seems. It sounds like your screen recording is doing what it was designed to do, capture what is happening on your screen, with optional voice over with the microphone.
Screen recording is for recording what you see on the screen, it is not a "video capture" option, like for capturing a movie with sound that is playing on your screen.

I upgraded my 10.6.8 system to 10.7.5. ..No problem, but my practice is to connect an ESATA dock to my macpro. install to the drive in the doc, use migration assistant to migrate my data and apps.   use the os in the doc for 2 weeks, if no issue then I delete the OS partiton in my Internal System Drive, do a carbon copy clone to the internal drive.
I just did the similar to upgrade to mavericks.   I installed to a new hardrive in my docking station.   (black widow esata dock). I noticed 10.9.1 is slow stayed with 10.7.5 as my operating system. now and then I would boot 10.9.1 fire up the console utility and fix the issues that made it slow....
Now I am at the "burn in stage" mavericks is now running fast and stable.   I'll use all my apps and if it does not break with the applications I run I will eventaully cc my 10.7.5 OS drive to the docking station, file the drive away.. and take my 10.9.1 drive in the doc and cc it to my internal system drive.
I always wipe out a partion when installing a new OS. Zeroing out is a bit more thorough, you will know if your drive is junk... but it's overkill for me.
I figured repartion is ok.
I'm 2 weeks away from doing a carbon copy clone from my 10.9.1 os drive in my dock to my internal drive.
by the way.. I am running Mavericks on a 8 core macpro 2,1. I have a modified bootloader that has an arbitration layer EFI32 to/from EFI64 emulated.

your going to have to put the ipod into recovery mode and restore the device. Unfortunatly you will lose all the info on the device after the restore but if you have a backup for the device in itunes you will be able to get all the info back if no backup is on itunes all info will be lost you can find the backups on in itunes under the edit>
preferences>devices and check for the backup
to put the ipod into recovery mode disconnect the ipod from the computer
power down the ipod
press and hold the home button than plug the device in and the itunes should give a message that states
itunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode and must first be restored before it can be used
than click the restore option in the summary page and issue resolved

This information can be found in the page definition file.
Select the field in the page and then click the binding tab.

You must update the apps with the Apple ID that they are purchased with.
The only way to get round this is to re-purchase the app with the new Apple ID.
