Which data source for ibase component description ?

Hello,
i would like to extract the description (text) for Ibase components, but i can't find the right data source.
The datasources 0CRM_IBASE_TXT, 0CRM_IBAKEY_TXT and 0CRM_COMPIB_TXT are returning only the text for Ibase header
object, not for components. Table IBINTX contains the requested texts - how can i get them via standard extractor ?
Thank you for your reply.

  • Which data source to be used to bring sales data for customers???

    Hi Gurus,
    I am using 0FI_AR_4 data source for one of report for DSO calculation.
    To complete the DSO( Daily Sales outstanding) calculation in BW I need sales data also for each customer.
    And this should be for all the past 12 months. Based on past 12 months sales data for each customer DSO calculation will be done.
    As this sales data is not available in the the 0FI_AR_4 data source so which other datasource can I use for the same purpose to bbring the sales data for the customer. I am thinking of COPA datasoure..... will it be right choice????
    Or I can go with some other option???
    Thanks in advance......

    Uday,
    You can use datasource: [2LIS_13_VDITM - Billing Document-Item Data |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/EN/73/0bf23839caf878e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]

  • Data source for MBEW

    hi,
    is there any data source for TABLE : MBEW ? or do i have to create a generic data source for this

    Hi,
    The DataSources delivered by SAP with the BI Content and any DataSources delivered by partners or customers in their own namespace are available in the delivery version (D version) in the SAP source system. If you want to transfer data from an SAP source system to a BI system using a DataSource, you must first copy the data from the D version to the active version (A version) and make it known in the BI system.
    Use these steps to activate standard data sources.
    1.To transfer and activate a DataSource delivered by SAP with Business Content, in transaction SBIW in the source system    choose Business Information Warehouse à Business Content DataSources or Activating SAP Business Content àTransfer Business Content DataSources.
    In The following figure displays the DataSources in an overview according to the application component.
    2.Select the nodes in the application component hierarchy for which you want to transfer DataSources into the active version. Do so by positioning the cursor on the node and choosing Highlight Subtree.
    The DataSources lying under the subtree and other subtrees are selected.
    3. To check for differences between the active and delivery versions of the DataSources, choose Select Delta.
    DataSources for which differences were found in the check (for example, due to changes to the extractor) are highlighted in yellow.
    4.To analyze the differences between active and delivered versions of a particular DataSource, select the DataSource and choose Version Comparison. The application log contains further information regarding the version comparison.
    5.To transfer a DataSource from the delivery version into the active version, select it in the overview tree using the button Highlight Subtree and choose Transfer DataSources.
    If an error occurs, the error log appears.
    Regardless of whether data has been successfully transferred into the active version, you can call the log by choosing Display Log.
    6.To provide the active version of the DataSource in the connected BI systems and to enable data extraction and transfer, replicate the DataSource(s) with a metadata upload to the BI system.

    Shiva.

  • Std data source for sales Order

    Hii Experts,
    I have one issue related to SRM data source. I want to know the standard SRM data source for the Sales Order Report for Vendor in BI.
    Thanks in advance
    Neha

    hi Arun,
    i experienced many times when we 'forget' to maintain in transaction bwa5, no delta in queue.
    with transaction bwa5, check in column 'active' for your data source 0CRM_SALES_ORDER_I, if not active,
    choose the data source and click button 'copy datasource' (activate icon).
    following I quote the explanation from doc
    BWA - BW Adapter will check changes when delta-init has been done and fill it to queue (rsa7).
    CRM-Specific Extraction Using the BW Adapter
    Initial upload (initial load): BW requests business data for a specific CRM object from the CRM database.
    <b>Delta upload: When the delta process has been initialized, the BW Adapter checks changes that have been made to existing objects and forwards them to a specific queue. </b>
    <u><b>Tasks of the BWAdapter </b></u>
    Relevance check: Is the business document relevant for the BW upload (for example, to extract only sales orders with a specific status)?
    Completeness check: Adds information from the database to those BDocs that contain changed data (network field communication).
    Mapping module: Responsible for assigning the BDoc structure to the BW DataSource. The same mapping module (assignment logic shipped by SAP and customer-specific BAdI implementation) is used for both the initial upload and the delta upload. Table SMOXHEAD contains the name of the mapping module. Table SMOXRELP contains the mapping metadata.
    Service API: BW component on the CRM side, which calls the object-specific extractor to retrieve data in packages. After the mapping process, the service API receives the data in extraction structure format and saves it in the BW delta queue.

  • Standard BI Data Source for FMGLFLEXT

    Hello Friends,
    The standard data source for the Financials New Legder is 0FI_GL_10 General Ledger: Leading Ledger Balances, which fetches the data from the FAGLFLEXT Table using the Extract Structure FAGL_EXTSTRUCT_LEAD. However there has been a migration of the FAGL table to FMGL table. And now the FAGLFLEXT is no longer populated with any FI postings data. And the new table which is getting the update is the FMGLFLEXT Table. GL Migration from FAGL to FMGL is a standard procedure. However I am not finding any Standard Data Source to fetch the data from the FMGLFLEXT Table.
    Can anybody let me know if there is any standard datasource for this or should we create a custom data source to fetch the data from FMGLFLEXT using the FMGL_EXTSTRUCT_LEAD Extract Structure.
    Appreciate help in this regard.
    VB

    Hello,
    The requirement is resolved by the following:
    If you want to use your own totals table (in this scenario FMGLFLEXT) as your basis, you first have to create the corresponding extraction structure using transaction FAGLBW01. In this way, all fields of the totals table are transferred into the extraction structure. Further In the OLTP system, call up transaction FAGLBW03 and Configure the DataSource and save your settings.

  • Can you use SQL as a data source for a project in the same way you can in Excel?

    Excel allows you to create a data source that executes a SQL stored procedure, display that data as a table in a spreadsheet and have that data automatically refresh each time you open the spreadsheet. Is it possible to do the same thing in MS Project, displaying
    the data from the stored procedure as a series of tasks?
    Here's what I'm trying to do - I have a stored procedure that pulls task data meeting a specific criteria from all projects in Project Server. We're currently displaying this data as an Excel report. However, the data includes start dates and durations so
    it would be nice to be able to display it as a Gantt Chart. I've played around with creating a Gantt chart in Excel and have been able to do a very basic one, but it doesn’t quite fit our needs.

    No, You can not use sql as a data source for a project.
    You have 3 options to achieve it:
    1. You can create a Sharepoint list with desired column ,fill desired data in that list then you can create a MS project from Sharepoint List.
    2. You can create a SSRS report in which you can display grantt chart Joe has given you that link.
    3. You can write a macro in MPP which will take data from your excel. In excel you will fetch data from your stored procedure. write a schedule which will run every day to update your data or
    create an excel report in which will update automatically and write macro in mpp which will fetch the data then publish it so that it would be available to team members.

  • Trying to change the data source for a Crystal Report.

    <p>The method below represents my best attempt to programatically change the data source of a Crystal Report. The goal is to have a routine that will update the data source for reports after they have been distributed to production servers. <p>Justin,</p>
    <p>
    Thank you for the reply. Time constraints have not allowed me to post back to this tread
    till now. I will try your suggestion. My assumption is that <i>Save the report back to the
    info store</i> refers to <span class="code">IInfoStore.commit(IInfoObjects)</span>.
    </p>
    <p>
    I'm afraid that I do not understand why I don't want to change the report client document,
    or why <i>successfully exporting the report with the new login/password</i> is not what I
    want to do. Any explanation on that statement would be appreciated.
    </p>
    <p>
    I did find a way to accomplish my goal. It involved adding the SSOKEY property to the
    logon property bag. Below you'll see my revised code which modifies the report logon and
    server. I have no idea what
    this does, and SAP support has not been able to tell me why it works. However, what I
    discovered is that if I changed the report option, <b>Database Configuration -> When
    viewing report:</b>, in the CMS to <span class="bi">Use same database logon as when report
    is run</span> from <span class="bi">Prompt the user for database logon</span>, then the
    SSOKEY property had been added to the logon property bag having an empty string as its
    value. This allowed me to successfullyupdate and save the modified logon back to the CMS.
    </p>
    <p>
    So I took a chance and added code to always add the SSOKEY property with an empty string
    as its value, and I could then successfully modify and save the report's logon info
    and server. Again, I don't know what this means, but it has worked so far. If anyone has
    some insight or comments, either are welcome. Thank you in advance.

  • Error while creating Data Source for master data attributes

    Hi BI Experts,
    Well its been some time for me that I have been part of Extraction in BI.I primarily handled reporting in my last assignments.
    I was trying extraction with flat files in SAP BI 7(new to sap bi 7 but very much familiar with BW3.5) but failed in the activity during master data attributes and text upload in infoobject (say IOSP_Mat).
    Here is the procedure that I did after creation of characteristic IOSP_Mat.I created a source system for flat file followed by data source for Master data attributes, i selected all the parameters correctly.i.e. csv file format, data seperator as   ,
    and other settings, now when i am trying to look at the proposed data in the next tab using Load example data.its not showing the desired result.The columns that I have maintained in Flat File is  MAT_NUMBER and MAT_NAME (with say 100 data in the file)
    same is the result when I am trying to load the text data too columns maintained are
    (LANGUAGE MAT_NUMBER Short Description)(same 100 data).
    now i used to rsa1old transaction  to upload the file using 3.5 version.i created info source for master data/text/hierarchies for  IOSP_Mat
    now when trying to upload it using info package for master and text data,I observe its(the data) not maintained in the characteristic IOSP_Mat.
    When I monitored ,I figured the data has not been even uploaded to the PSA level.
    Can you BI experts tell me the answer for this.
    Thanks,
    Srijith

    apologies to all of you for late response,
    was busy with some other activities.
    I don't remember the exact message,but I remember it was not loaded to even the PSA level.I will try it again and post the exact message.
    Thanks again for your quick response.
    Once again sorry to all of you for my late response
    Thanks,

  • Creation of a generic extractor and data source for the FAGLFLEXA table

    Hi All,
    Need to create a generic extractor and data source for the FAGLFLEXA table to support AR reporting. This table contains the necessary profit center information to perform LOB reporting against the AR data.
    Please advice on how to do this.
    Regards, Vishal

    Hi Vishal,
    Its seems a simple a work out.
    1.Go to RSO2 & choose the relevant option ie. whether you want to create Transactional DS, Master Data DS or Text DS.
    2. Name it accordingly & then create.
    3. Give description to it & then give table name FAGLFLEXA.
    4. Save it & activate. If you need it to be delta enabled then click over Delta & you can choose accordingly.
    If you still face some problem then do mail me at [email protected]
    Assign points if helpful

  • Using Oracle BI Server as a Data Source for Third Party Tools

    I have been researching how to use the Oracle BI Server as a data source for two days now. I have not yet found a solution to my problem.
    We have a remote user who is pulling data from one of our Oracle databases using automated tools. This data base is essentially being replaced by Oracle Analytics. However, we do not want this user to get at the physical tables of Analytics, rather, we want the user to be able to connect to the Oracle BI Server itself, and issue Logical SQL to pull data.
    Here are the requirements which I need to be fulfilled:
    1) The ability for a remote user to connect to the BI Server as a data source.
    2) The remote user must be able to do this on a Unix box.
    3) The remote user must be able to automate the process of issuing SQL to the BI Server. (Command line interface is preferable)
    4) The solution needs to be easily implementable, that is, this solution will be implemented many times over.
    I found many articles explaining how to set up a Windows box to connect to the BI Server in this way. However, these articles outline how to use tools like Excel and Microsoft Query to pull data from the BI Server. Our current user is using SQLplus.
    If possible, I would like the user to continue using SQLplus as the tool for connecting to and retriving information from our BI Server. I have tested using SQLplus many different ways to no avail. I have also tried using other tools, such as Oracle SQL Developer.
    Is there a program out there that will fulfill the needs I have outlined above? Or, does someone know of a way to use SQLplus to connect to the Oracle BI Server as a data source? Or, is there a series of solutions which will fulfill the needs outlined above?
    Edited by: user11177366 on Jun 11, 2009 11:46 AM

    I agree it would be inefficient but only because you are using OBIEE for something it was not designed to do. You are basically asking for a "DB feed" and that should designed using PL/SQL, DB Links, Web Services or whatever is your entreprise standard to send data from one system to another. Using OBIEE for this seems a bad architecture decision to me.You are correct, the BI Server is not really intended to be queried like another Oracle Database remotely. However, the reason we are trying to do it this way is twofold:
    1) We want to enforce data level security.
    2) The BI Server has been fine tuned for high performance.
    Forcing the end users to go through the BI Server rather than directly to the physical tables or other sorts of systems built on top solves both of these issues.
    I think you are wrong. I don't see why SQLPlus should be able to query the BI Server. The BI Server can sit on top of many different DBs not just Oracle, even flat files etc. So you can't really expect the BI Server to able to translate all that into Oracle SQL output so you can query it using SQLPlus. The BI Server is not an Oracle RDBMS.You're right again. The BI Server isn't an Oracle RDBMS, and I have been wanting to treat it like one. From the data I have gathered SQLPlus can't query the BI Server.
    However, my research has led me to realize that the BI Server supports the JDBC API. Therefore, (I should have went down this route in the first place) one can use the JDBC driver provided by Oracle (bijdbc14.jar) to interface with the BI Server. There are many programs and applications out there that support the JDBC API and let us connect to BI Server the way we want to. Furthermore, these programs are mostly platform independent, as they are mostly written in Java.
    Lastly, from what I understand the NQCMD program can be installed on any platform as well (provided by Oracle). This is another option to connect to the BI Server as well.
    Thanks for your help and your comments as I went through this process of discovery.

    Using Transaction BW01 and BW03 on the R/3 side, I am able to generate the Totals Record-DataSource   successfully.
    But I am not able to generate the Line Items-DataSource. I am using the same procedure.
    Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction. Are there any other settings I need to make to generate the Line Items-DataSource. Interestingly, I am able to generate the Line Items-DataSource  for some other old ledgers in the System like ZZ and ZX. But I need the Line Items-DataSource  from a ledger called ZP for which I am having trouble.
    I would greatly appreciate if someone can get back to me ASAP.

    During BW01, The Generate extract structure is fine for both Total and Line Item Table.The issue is when we run tcode bw03 where you assign the datasource to a ledger.
    Here, I can assign only for the Total Records data source and NOT for the Line Items-DataSource.
    I hope I could explain the issue. Looking forward for some advice.

  • Stored Procedure used as a data source for an Apex report

    Just wondering whether anyone has used a Stored Procedure as the data source for an Apex report. An option to select Stored Procedures(s) as the data source does not appear within the IDE (only displays Table, Views, Functions).
    Do you have to return the definition of the Stored Procedure via a function ... if so, how is this done ?
    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum: please read the FAQ and forum sticky threads (if you haven't done so already), and update your profile with a real handle instead of "920338".
    When you have a problem you'll get a faster, more effective response by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:
    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
    <li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
    <li>Theme
    <li>Template(s)
    <li>Region/item type(s)
    With APEX we're also fortunate to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproducing things there is the best way to troubleshoot most issues, especially those relating to layout and visual formatting. If you expect a detailed answer then it's appropriate for you to take on a significant part of the effort by getting as far as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for assistance with specific issues, which we can then see at first hand.

    Do you have to return the definition of the Stored Procedure via a function ... if so, how is this done ? When asking a question about "reports" it's firstly essential to differentiate between standard and interactive reports. Standard reports can be based on tables, views, SQL queries, or PL/SQL function blocks that return the text of a SQL query. Interactive reports can only be based on a SQL query.
    "Stored Procedures" are therefore not an option (unless you are using the term loosely to describe any PL/SQL program unit located in the database, thus including functions). What would a procedure used as the source of a report actually do? Hypothetically, by what mechanisms would the procedure (a) capture/select/generate data; and (b) make this data available for use in an APEX report? Why do you want to base a report on a procedure?

  • Using Oracle Stored Proc as Data Source for PowerBuilder Data Window Object

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use an Oracle stored procedure as the data source for a PowerBuilder data window object. I'm using the following (which is a variation of an example given on Sybase's web site, with the appropriate database/column name changes and use of %TYPE):
    ======================
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE pkg_dw_sp_example
    AS
    TYPE typ_example_rec1 IS RECORD(
    v_comcodsa st_sa.comcodsa%TYPE,
    v_comnamsa st_sa.comnamsa%TYPE,
    v_cocitysa st_sa.cocitysa%TYPE);
    TYPE cur_example_cur1 IS REF CURSOR;
    RETURN typ_example_rec1;
    END;
    ======================
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE sp_dw_example1
    (arg_teamid IN st_sa.comcodsa%TYPE,
    cur_team IN OUT pkg_dw_sp_example.cur_example_cur1)
    AS
    BEGIN
    OPEN cur_team FOR
              SELECT comcodsa,
              comnamsa,
              cocitysa
              FROM st_sa
              WHERE st_sa.comcodha = arg_teamid;
    END sp_dw_example1;
    ======================
    The package is created okay, but the procedure is saved with compilation errors. Unfortunately, Oracle does not indicate what the errors are (great product), so I have no idea what it is complaining about.
    Questions:
    1) Can anyone point me to/or provide a better example?
    2) The examples in books I have seen all would have declared the procedure in the package specification - is the above valid?
    3) This is a PowerBuilder specific question, but if the package does not show up in the stored procedure list when creating a data window object, how does one use it as a data source?
    Oracle 8.1.7
    PowerBuilder 8.0.1
    Thanks,
    Ed Holloman

    1) Everything looks fine with your code. You did not mention the environment you are compiling your code in, but if it is SQL*Plus, you can type 'show errors' after the compile and it will list the errors and line numbers for you.
    2) You can include the procedure in the package - in which case you would have a procedure declaration in the spec and the actual procedure in the body. You would no longer include the 'create or replace' - the declaration and procedure would just start with 'procedure'. The spec would look include:
    PROCEDURE sp_dw_example1
      (arg_teamid IN st_sa.comcodsa%TYPE,
       cur_team OUT cur_example_cur1);Note the removal of the package reference (since we are now IN the package) and the second parameter is just OUT instead of IN OUT.
    3) Not much, but I know that in PB8, our developers have said they have visibility now to the package when creating a DW - something they didn't have in PB7. Previously, we had to create a dummy standalone procedure that they would select and they would later modify the code to include the package prefix.
    Hope this helps a bit.

  • How to change the jta-data-source for projects in EJB 3

    Hi all,
    Sorry my english! :)
    I'm learning the EJB 3.0 and I'd like to change jta-data-source for projects in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.
    I explain:
    In the same Application, I have a project with all Entitys and Session Beans. At the moment, the persistence.xml file is there with the jta-data-source tag.
    I make a new project with JUnit (Cactus) for test the EJB's that I'd like jta-data-source reference the test database.
    I make another project, with Servlet/JSP/JSF that use EJB's with interface and I'd like jta-data-source reference another database.
    What kind of changes (workaround) I could make to solve this problem?
    Thanks a lot!
    Luciano

    Hi,
    There are COOM data source which may suits your needs.
    please check data source
    0CO_OM_WBS_6
    0CO_OM_WBS_3
    Base tables are COSP and COSS.
    Check about coom data source, if not suitable then go for custom data source.
    About table cross verify with your source team.
    Thanks
