Which datasource supports 0rpa_wgh1 info object

Hi gurus,
I'm using the info objects material group hierarchy 1 & 2(0rpa_wgh1 & 0rpa_wgh2, I want to know which data source supplies the master data to these info objects. And any other detail about theese objects might be very help full. your help would be highly appreciated.

Generating export datasource for an info object

Hello Guys
I am working on BW 3.5. I need to generate an export data source for an infoobject so that I can load its texts into another target IO. When I go into the infosources tab, and right click on the particular IO, it gives me the option of creating an export data source.
My question is: How do i transport this data source from DEV --> QA? Do we have to re-create the export data source in each system individually, ie DEV, QA and PROD.
Secondly, when I could see the export data source in the the BWQ source system, i tried moving the transfer rules for the DS to the target IO and it gave an error.
Error message:
Mapping between data source 80CRED_GROUPT and source system BWQCLNT100 is inconsistent
Field CRED_GROUP will not be delivered from DataSource 80CRED_GROUPT in source system BWQCLNT100
Field C_CTR_AREA will not be delivered from DataSource 80CRED_GROUPT in source system BWQCLNT100
Field LANGU will not be delivered from DataSource 80CRED_GROUPT in source system BWQCLNT100
Field TXTMD will not be delivered from DataSource 80CRED_GROUPT in source system BWQCLNT100
Why is this happening? And as i asked before, can i transport an export DS or do I create it in each environment individually? Please note: This is an export DS for an info object.

Hi Srinivas,
You can transport the export data source across the landscape(Dev to QA).
You do not eed to generate it in each system.
Also ensure that the conversion of logical system names or the source system names has been maintained.
You are right it looks like the data source creation was a problem hence it is not alllowing importing transfer rules.
You may try to recollect the export data source and transport and then once it is transported successfully replicate metadata of the self system.
Now transport the transfer rules.

Issue in info object creation

Hi All,
While creating info object under info object catalog (for characteristics only but i can able to create for key figure with out any issue)i am getting below error
InfoObject 0LANGU does not exist in version A
Message no. R7245
Pls update me how to solve this issue.

I think you are getting the issue with Language conversion.
In case you are creating info object for characteristics , always use the SAP standard info object as reference. This will help to avoid this issue. Is it possible to share which reference SAP standard Info object which you are using. ??

Goto RSA1 --> Metadata Repository --> Infoobject catalog and find the required infoject and just click on the object, in next screen you can see all the reports which are using this infoobject.(InfoObject Directly Used in These Queries:List of Queries )

Ask fo support Authorization Compounding Info Object BW 3.5

Hi to everyone, I hope somebody can support me >;-)
I got a question concerning an authorization on a compounding Info Object within BW 3.5
I would like to give authorization on the compounding Info Object 0COSTCENTER. The Info Object 0COSTCENTER is compounded, as usual, to Info Objekt 0CO_AREA.
I already created the necessary authorization objects for 0COSTCENTER and for 0CO_AREA I even tried to create an authorization object which contains both info objects for testing and tried every possible combination.
In RSA1 both Info Objects are marked as authorization relevant and within the RSSM both authorization objects are marked relevant for the particualr Info Provider. In the pfcg I restrict corresponding role to particular Cost Center and generate the profile.
But executing the query I always got the authorization problem that the query do not have the authorization to read the authorization object for 0COSTCENTER.
Please be aware of the fact that the problem is within BW 3.5

How to make IO to support multi language.We have SPRAS (Language Key) in data source.?

Hi,
In the maintenance of info-object under the master data/text tab, just tick the option for Texts Language Dependent. And then in the mapping of the data-source with the info-object your SPRAS field will be automatically mapped to 0LANGU.

Which info object should be used for Financial statement line (BPS and BCS)

Hi experts.
A rather easy and straightfoward questions for someone out there.
In BPS as we know, we use the info object '0SEM_POSIT' (account groups, or financial statement line) to summamrize and store amounts from groups of accounts or for example data from COPA's value fields, and which is already an attribute of the info object '0ACCOUNT'.
I am told that there is another BCS related info object called '0CS_ITEM' that serves the same purpose, and uses it for the same reason for the purpose of consolidations.
We'd obviously like to use just the one of these info objects because of planning and reporting.
Can someone out there with knowledge in BCS recommend which one to use, and from their experience in the past how they combined the use of both (if you in fact did use both).
Also, is it true that in BCS you cannot use a two characteristic BW hierarchy for consolidations, and it can only consolidate a one characteristic BW hierarchy?

I kind of understood what you said, but just incase, let me explain my situation a little clearer. In BPS I'm using 0SEM_POSIT for two reasons:
1) To create hierarchy based on 0SEM_POSIT info object, and making each node postable. This is because on this project we don't plan at account level. Only at a kind of account group/financial statement line level. So each node is postable so that they roll up to the higher levels.
2) I will have 0SEM_POSIT as an attribute of 0ACCOUNT (which is standard delivered as an attribute in BW). This will ensure that I derive the actuals at that the same level as the planned. This is required for two reasons:
                           a) I can have the actuals as comaprison column in the Planning
                               layout.
                           b) I can report on the Actuals vs. Plan at the postable node
                               level in BW queries.
So having explained this, what I understood from your explanation is:
a) I can continue to 0SEM_POSIT as my info object for my postable node hierarchy, and
b) I can also use 0CS_ITEM as a consolidation unit specifically for BCS only.
So what I really didn't understand is:
1) your explanation of the mapping of 0SEM_POSIT to 0CS_ITEM, and what this mapping actually does. For example does 0CS_ITEM derive the values from 0SEM_POSIT because of this mapping? Can you explain this a bit? Is Datastream a tool in BCS by which BCS readinf financial data from other components?
2) Can BCS use a 2 characteristic postable nodes hierarchy as a consolidation unit? For example, if I create ONE hierarchy using 0SEM_POSIT, and 0ACCOUNT. Both will be postable at any level of the hirarchy.
Can BCS consolidate using this 2 characteristic hierarchy structure? OR, must it use 0CS_ITEM info object?
3) How does both 0SEM-POSIT, and 0CS_ITEM co-exist together, in terms of planning, consolidation, and reporting. For example if I report using the 0CS_ITEM hierarchy, then I will not be able to read plan data, because plan data is posted on the 0SEM_POSIT? and vice versa......? This question kind of ties in with 1).

Text data source and Info object?

Hi I have created Texts data source in R/3 and our onsite folks have asked me to create relavant info objects in BW as well.I need to validate against the data source created in R/ 3for use short med or long text all should support mulilang.Can any body please explain how can I proceed with this ?

It is the other way. Once u tick in the master data tab -what kind of text u want-short,long,medium-then that will appear in your transformation.And u can map any char field from ur data source for these based on the length.
So u can check the datasource definition in rsa2 and determine the length of text field in which ur text data will data.
Based on that select in teh info object, then u will get that to map in transformation.

How to find the corresponding field in r/3 to a info object in a cube?

You can take the datasource name for the Cube and the infoobject
Then pass this to table RSOFIELDMAP , to get the corresponding R/3 fieldname
And for R/3 table u need to check datasources definition in BI content library

How to load data from info object to ODS

Hello BW Gurus,
Is their any way to load data from info object to ODS and I am unable to fine the Info source for that particulate info object master data.
For ex: we have 0PROFITCENTER as info object which is getting loaded everyday. We want same data in ODS too but I don't find any info source related to this info object to create update ruled.
Please advise me how to proceed with this,

hi Swathi,
as mentioned, if you just need the master data text or attribute update, then it's sufficient to load 0PROFITCENTER master data. (don't forget to 'apply hierarchy/attribute change' - rsa1->tools)
if you are going to update attribute in ods with attribute from 0PROFITCENTER, you can choose look up master data attribute method in update rules.
if the requirement is really need 0PROFITCENTER to assign to update rules, then first you have to 'generate export datasource' for infoobject 0PROFITCENTER, right click the infoobject and 'generate export datasource', then do 'replicate datasource' from bw myself, after that it will available. to display it you may go to rsa1->infosource, and menu settings->display generated objects.

Urgent::::Data is not loaded for a perticular info object in ods

Hi All,
We have loaded data into an ODS( 0PRC_DS01) in development server. It was successfully loaded into it all info objects.Reports were working well.
When we transported it to production, data loading was taking longggg time (15000 for 9 hours).So, we have done two things to improve the loading speed.
1) we have created an index based on the fields in the where clause RCLNT,RLDNR,RYEAR, DOCNR, POPER in JVSO1 table.
(JVSO1 is an R/3 table from where key data coming to datasource 0EN_JVA_2.)
2)We have updated the optmizer statistics.
Now the problem is, data is not loaded to one perticular info object JOINT VENTURE PARTNER in dso. Which was loaded successfully in development.
Please help us........We will assign points for helpful answers

Hi Chek in the transfer and update rules whether u mapped the fields with target and also check whether u have routine. and check whether the data is coming for that object from the source.

Assigning CL Info objects to 0MATERIAL

Dear Gurus,
                  I have created CL Datasources(class type 200,001,022)
classtype     basis datasource              Info object
200              0MATERIAL_ATTR            1cl_0mat200(with 36 attribute fields)
001              0MATERIAL_ATTR            1cl_0mat001 (with 69 attribute fields)
022              0PROD_ATTR                   1cl_0prod (with 9attributes)
Now can i know my following assumptions are right----
1). Make them ATTRIBUTES as Navigational Attributes in their respective Info objects..
2).Assign resp.CL Datasources to resp.CL Info sources generated...
3)Develop the ODS and Infocubes with these CL Info objects...
or
1).Should I add the above Info objects(1cl_0mat200 and 1cl_0mat001) as Attributes to 0MATERIAL Info object???

Have u used the CTBW transaction for datasrc creations for classification data for materials? The CTBW_Meta trasaction will take care of the necessary attribute objects to be created.

How to know the R/3 table field mapped to BW info object!

Hi,
I have an extractor which is extracting the data from R/3 using View in generic data source.
Now i am making a documentaion of each infoobject involved in the extraction of how exactly it is mapped and how is it getting filled.
In transfer rules i could find the R/3 find easily but i want a table as well as i need to make a screen shots as well for the documentaion.
Example, the field AUFNR which is order number is existing in three tables namely AFRU,AUFK and AFKO ( all are used in view definition )
Now how can i ensure that from whcih table the data is getting filled to the BW info object?
Any suggestions would be appreciated .

Creating Info Objects

Hi,
I have some datasources and each datasource has 100's of infoobjects.
I wan create in mass but the tcode ctbw_metadata does not work for BI.7 datasources i guess.
i also thought of using excel with abap program but for that i again have do manual work of copying objects from datasources and properties in single coloum format in excel.
Is there no way i can create all objects of particular datasource directly in BI7?

Hi Syed,
The t-code CTBW_META in BW is speciific for Classification datasources.
You cant use it to create IOBs for any other datasource...
I guess there is an article which deals with creation of multiple Info objects by creating custom transaction. not sure how helpful it can be for you since you need 100 IOB's per data source.
