Which device, such as a phone, can i use to get Wi Fi to my iPod Touch?

There's no any kind of wireless Hot Spots or wireless connections at my work so i am looking for a device that will get Wi Fi to my iPod Touch.
I am guessing a Cell Phone would be an ideal solution, if so then which one, and will it work with T Mobile?
Currently i have a Blackberry Pearl 8100
Thanks, any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

No this won't work, unless you can find a cell phone that is also a wi-fi access point. I have never seen such a thing. Less than three hours ago someone posted this on this very forum:

can i use all ios 5 features on my ipod touch 4g?

Since we are all only end users here like yourself, we would know of no such information.  All we know is that iOS 5 will be compatible with your 4G iPod Touch.

  • Can I use my old firewire charger with my iPod Touch

I've recently got an 8GB iPod Touch which obviously only came with a USB cable to charge and sync with my laptop.
However, I've also got an old 4th generation 20GB iPod which came with a firewire lead that connects to a firewire mains charger. Can I use this to charge my iPod touch from the mains? Also can I use either the firewire or the old USB cable to connect to my laptop??
    Thanks very much.

You can use the firewire charger to connect your Touch to the mains. I use my old one and it works just fine. I suppose you can also use it to charge using your computer though I can't say I've tried. However, as the newer iPods don't have any kind of firewire circuitry, you can't use the firewire cable to sync you iPod.
    Best of luck.

  • Can i use the new iphone 5c as a ipod touch

I want to buy the iphone 5c but only use it as a ipod and will i still be forced to pay monthly bills?

I believe it has to be activated by a cellular carrier upon purchase. I do know that after you've done this and have used it as a valid cell phone that it can be used as an "iPod touch" type of device with no further issues...I'm doing exactly that with an older iPhone 4.
See the following (this is for an iPhone 4S):

Seems as if it's possible but you'd need to buy the phone unlocked and contract-free. These can be very expensive.

  • Finally Got iPhone 3GS - can I use my old (1st gen) iPhone as iPod Touch?

Got my new 3GS this morning - now looking to see if I can get any use from the old 1st gen iPhone it replaces.
Is it possible to run a 1st generation iPhone without a SIM, so that it functions like an iPod Touch? The only functions I need on the old one are iPod related - play music, video - I don't mind losing apps, internet etc.
    Any ideas?

  • Just purchased an ipad, can I use the same charger as for my ipod touch?

I just purchased an Ipad2 and wonder if I can use the same charger for it as my Ipod touch uses?

I doubt it, as my ipod recharger doesn't seem to charge my iPad at all hence the (Not Charging) where the battery would be.
    Hope this helps

  • Can I use iPad's 10w adapter to charge iPod Touch 4th Gen.

I just want to know is it safe to charge my iPod touch 4 and iPod Shuffle 3rd Gen with an iPad adapter. And will the 10w damage my battery in any way? Thanks!

I found this answer in the Apple Store/Product Details page:           can I use this 10W adapter to charge my iphone or ipod as well?
According to Apple it is at least compatible to the iPhone4: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC359LL/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjA&mco=MTc0NzA4NzA

  • Can I use 2 different iTunes accounts on one iPod touch?

It is my daughters iPod that is linked to my iTunes account for purchases. I want her to use her own email (or iTunes account) for FaceTime and Messaging. We had this system working at one time, but now her FaceTime and Messaging are linked to my iTunes account.

    I recommend that you
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
    Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
    Settings>FaceTime
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.
If you want to use here new ID for purchases note:
    - Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
    - To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
Also note the 90 day time period specified here. It concerns some iCloud services

You can check if the app does require internet by going into airplane mode or turning off WiFi and re launching the app. If it does not work, google "offline translater app for iOS".

  • Can I use the ipad2 cable to synch my iPod touch

    Thanks..

    Yes.
All iOS devices use the same 30-pin Dock Connector for data transfer and charging, with the exception of the iPod shuffle and very old models of iPod (that haven't been around for seven or eight years)

  • Can I use my old iPhone 4S like an iPod touch?

Is it possible to restrict the Cellular network so that my iPhone 4s will effectively be an iPod?  I am trying to give my old iPhone to my daughter for use as an iPod and do not what her to be able to use any cellular services.

See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3406. All you need to do is make sure the SIM in the phone is no longer connected to cellular service.

  • If I have more than one I phone can I use the same apple ID for all off them?

If I have more than one I phone can I use the same apple ID for all off them?

Yes. You can have multiple iPhones on the same ID, up to the maximum 5 total devices. FaceTime will use the sim number for calls and you can configure each phone separately, or configure one and then back it up to iTunes and them restore the image to the others.
