Which DLL I need for Shipping Release?
Hi,
I am using Visual Studio 2005 (C++) for my application. I have nidaqmx.h and nidaqmx.lib and driver installed. My question is when I move my application to a different computer that doesn't have driver installed, what DLL(s) I need to make it run on different computers when we are not trying to talk to NI boards. Right now when I move it , it starts asking me for nicaiu.dll, then another DLL then another..forever.... What do I need to make it run on other computers when the application is not talking to NI board? I do understand if I want to have it talk to NI, I need to install the driver.
Thanks
Hi softwareguy,
I understand that you are talking about moving your application to another computer. However, I'm not sure what you mean when you say this:
"I move my application to a different computer that doesn't have driver installed, what DLL(s) I need to make it run on different computers when we are not trying to talk to NI boards."
When you move the application, are you removing all function calls and information that relates to daqmx? If you have some functions in your application that are still trying to talk to the driver, you are going to get errors that the program is looking for dlls that do not exist since the driver is not installed. Therefore you need to remove anything in your program that is referencing daqmx including the #include statements with daqmx.h.
The dll that your computer is searching for (nicaiu.dll) is actually the main dll where all DAQmx ANSI C functions are contained. This is documented in the following knowledgebase. I hope this information was helpful!

Somebody knows which autorization i need it. Thks in advance.Hi Sergio,
This is a detailed step by step procedure for creating a user:
- On your SAP Web AS host, create the user below with at least the following parameters (transaction SU01).
<b>User</b> : XISUPER
<b>Last name (Tab: Address)</b> : <your_name>, for example XI Super
<b>Password / User Type (Tab: Logon Data)</b> : <init_password> / Dialog
<b>
Role (Tab: Role)</b> :

SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR
SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER
SAP_XI_DEVELOPER SAP_XI_MONITOR
The SAP_XI* roles are composite roles
- Save, and exit SU01
- You must now log on to the Integration server host with the user XISUPER, to switch the initial password to a valid password.
- You must restart the J2EE engine to transfer the user creation to the J2EE

Which packages are needed for rt73 chipset?
Right, so the last time I installed Arch, I blindly installed every package related to networking and the size of the install came out to be quite big for an arch install. This time, I want to reinstall it with the barest amount of packages needed for me to get on the Internet (including base and base-devel), so which packages do I select?
While I have no first hand experience of rt73/rt2571 based devices myself, the Arch Wiki suggests it's no big deal.
I use wicd as a wireless connection manager as it comes with a curses based interface so you can easily select wireless networks before setting up X.org (or if you don't use it). It is very easy to set up and manage. -
Which files are needed for connection to database in 11gR2?
I'm confused about the following files:
sqlnet.ora
tnsnames.ora
listener.ora
host file
If I understand correctly, sqlnet.ora and tnsnames.ora can exist in both client and Oracle database server and listener.ora should only exist in Oracle database server. I guess host file can exist in both client and Oracle database server.
I'm trying to understand which of the files are needed to access Oracle 11gR2 database using different tools such as
sqlplus, SQL Developer, and Database Control on Oracle database server or from a client machine.
If I'm on an Oracle database server, which of the files are needed for accessing 11gR2 database on that server for the different tools?

Some of the config parms available to it apply only to the server side, some apply only to the client side, some apply to both.
tnsnames.ora is used by client processes to resolve a connect alias to a specicific host, port, and service. It is used ONLY by the client side of tns. You see it on host machines because those machines can also run client processes.
host file. Oracle doesn't know what this file is. Oracle doesn't give a flying fig about this file. It is used by the standard network software in the OS to resolve a name to an IP address. The only reason you even see it discussed in the Oracle world is because Oracle TNS sits on top of the standard OSI network stack, and uses it. Thus, if your tnsnames file has an entry like:
houston =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = vmlnx01)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = houston)
#==========tns will never know or care where vmlnx01 is. The request will be packaged and sent to the standard network stack with a request to "route this package to vmlnx01, wherever that is.". The OS network stack will then resolve 'vmlnx01' to an ip address, by one of several possible methods. ONE of those methods is to look it up in the local hosts file. -

I'm confused on which OS is needed for Aperture 3
I was going to purchase Aperture 3 for organizing and editing my photo library. As I am having some problems editing with Aperture 2 using OS X 10.9.5 (Maverick)
I read the specifications for Aperture 3 from the Apple store and it stated that "Mac OS X 10.9" (or later). is what's need for the OS.
But when I went to purchase it from the App store it states "Compatibility OS X 10.10" (or later).
Thus the confusion.
Will the Aperture 3 download form the app store work using Maverick 10.9.5. I don't really want to upgrade the OS to Yosemite?
Thanks
JSI tested to launch Aperture 3.6 from my Mavericks partition, but no go. It will not launch, not even the binary in the Application package. It is giving this error message.
/My_HD/Applications/Aperture.app/Contents/MacOS/Aperture ; exit;
application requires at least Mac OS X version 10.10.0 (10.10), but is being run on 10.9.5 ( 10.9.5/13F34), and so is exiting.Abort trap: 6
logout
You could try two things:
Search for a boxed Aperture 3 upgrade installer at Ebay or Amazon. This will install an early Aperture 3 version, and you can update this early version using the Aperture 3 updaters from the Supports Download page to Aperture 3.4.5. Then try the update to Aperture 3.5.1. Only, this will probably be much more expensive than buying from the AppStore.
Try to buy Aperture 3 from the AppStore. It should not download Aperture 3.6 while you are running Mavericks, but offer to download Aperture 3.5.1, or refuse to download. -
Which partions I need for recovery ?
Hello
I have an HP pavilion dv9000 on Widows XP and I wanna clean a bit my hard-disk. I previously installed Ubuntu on it, and now I wanna merge all created partitions in one big main NTFS partition, so I installed this hard disk on an other laptop to format it. It seems that HP RECOVERY doesn't merge partitions ...
I wanna keep HP RECOVERY, so I need to keep its partitions. It see 2 partition that could be used by HP RECOVERY :
- HP_RECOVERY, 8.22 GB FAT32
- *, a 1.00 GB NTFS, with 3 folders in it (Doc.&Set., Program Files, and WINDOWS)
Do I need to keep these 2 partitions to perform HP RECOVERY ? What are they for ?
This question was solved.
View Solution. You only need to keep the Recovery partition if you intend to return your notebook the condition it was delivered to you. The other partition is not required.
the recovery partition also contains the Recovery manager which will allow you to install all required drivers and the applications the notebook was delivered with.

Which ports are needed for SAP HANA Studio - HANA DB communication?
I want to connect SAP HANA Studio to a HANA instance. The HANA instance number is 40.
The SAP note 1592925 states that the ports 5$$13/5$$14 and 3$$15 should be open to allow communication between the HANA Studio and the HANA database. I even see the instance in the HANA Studio, but I cannot administrate it and the HANA studio gives this general "I don't want you to know what the error actually is" message:

Do I need to open any other ports to make HANA Studio work with HANA DB?
Regards,
MarkHi Mark,
The HANA Studio connects to HANA DB Instance with JDBC on port 3<Instance number>15.
For your HDB with Instance Number 40, the port would be 34015.
HANA Studio will automatically assign the JDBC port number when you assign the instance number when you add new system.
Looking at the error message that you posted:
!ENTRY com.sap.ndb.studio.navigator 4 1 2012-01-16 14:01:40.627
!MESSAGE [HDB hostname 40 (SYSTEM)] Error on refreshing system
It looks like the hostname entry was not entered correctly (you might have entered "hostname" value when adding the system in HANA Studio).
Here is an example of correct log entry on DCA database instance on hanasvr-01 server with Instance number 00:
!ENTRY com.sap.ndb.studio.navigator 4 1 2012-01-10 13:55:23.598
!MESSAGE [DCA hanasvr-01 00 (SYSTEM)]
You may want to delete and re-add your HDB instance in your HANA Studio.

Which Java download needed for SQL Developer
I am running Windows 7 Professional, (64) and have downloaded and unzipped sqldeveloper64-3.2.20.09.87-no-jre.zip. When I execute sqldeveloper.exe I enter this path to the Java JDK: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_37\bin\java.exe and a message responds:
Oracle SQL Developer
Unable to launch the Java Virtual Machine Located at path C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_37\bin\msvcr71.dll
I am going with a 32 bit version of Java because I use Chrome (32) and the 1.6 JDK because the SQLDev info says it must be south of 1.7. The last time I installed SQLDev getting the right version of Java was a big pain too. Could someone give me then name of the package to download and the URL to access it?
The jdk I installed: jdk-6u37-windows-i586.exe.
I would have hoped that Oracle bundled the SQLDev with the Java.
Your help would be much appreciataed.

Edited by: user606303 on Nov 30, 2012 2:35 PMHi,
I would have hoped that Oracle bundled the SQLDev with the Java.Note that the very first download offered is Windows 32-bit - zip file includes the JDK1.6.0_35 (also 32-bit). See here...
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/sql-developer/downloads/index.html
Since you opted to
downloaded and unzipped sqldeveloper64-3.2.20.09.87-no-jre.zipyou are expected to specify a 64-bit JDK, which gets installed to
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_37\binrather than
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_37\binThe basic rules:
1. 32-bit JDK/App on 32-bit Windows;
2. 32-bit JDK/App (runs under WoW64) or 64-bit Java/App on 64-bit Windows.

Which system priviliges needed for Database Deployment user xmlp
Hi!
I try to run tables_oracle.sql but it fails for the lack of system priviliges. Is there a script for creating the user with all the required priviliges for creating the schema objekts and later for running?
regardsI had to add at least for running the sql scripts following:
CREATE TABLE
CREATE SEQUENCE
CREATE INDEXTYPE
But I get some errors in the html enterprise application and in the oc4j console and I am not sure how to solve this. I want to be sure that the user has all priviliges he need, before searching for other causes.
