Which Download to upgrade a non-ERP System to 7.01
Hi,
we can find support packages for Netweaver 7.01 (non-ERP) but not the right way to come to NW 7.01?
What is the first and second step to upgrade a PLM System to Netweaver 7.01?
I mean the Netweaver, not the Application?

The NW 7.01 SPs are for ramp up customers to access and use. NetWeaver 7.01 is NetWeaver 7.0 with EhP1 applied. It will be avaiable for general release in mid-late 2009. We run a closed-loop network of apple systems and I tipically downloaded updates on a non-apple system that was on the internet.
Any ideas?I did buy the server app, went to the app store to download it. This system I'm using for downloads is Snow Leopard 10.6.8, it shows that I can download it but only as an Install which says I need 10.8. If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

we successfully upgraded our SAP ERP system to EHP4 for SAP.
Our system has only ABAP stack.
Question
1) Is it possible to install a Java Add-In instance for the existing EHP4 system?
2) If yes, can this be done on the same Windows server?

7.0 was able to add Java usage types such as EPC, or EP, to existing ABAP-only
systems. This was possible only, if you added AS Java at the same time. The option of a
Java Add-In installation is not any longer available as of the enhancement package 4 for
SAP ERP 6.0. Thus, it is not any longer possible, for example, to add EPC and EP
together with AS Java to an ABAP-only system.

Error during Upgradation SCM 5.0 to SCM 5.1 Non-Unicode System

I am Upgrading SCM 5.0 Non-Unicode System to SCM 5.1 Non-unicode on Windows 2003 Server with MSS 2005 DB. During the initial PREPARE (EXTRACTKRN_PRE) phase I am getting an error like

The file name it is looking for does not exist in any of the Kernel versions I have checked. If I try to skip this step it is asking for the PASSWORD. How can I get this password? (only from SAP Support or any note?).
What is the Solution for the above ERROR. Please help.

RFC lookup to PI system or other ERP system.Which is better?

I have a scenario[RFC>PI(RFCLOOKUP,SOAP LOOKUP)->SOAP] where I have to fetch or update the data in the table using RFC lookup in the mapping.
To store or update the data ,I have created a table in PI system and through RFC LOOKUP I am fetching the data in the message mapping.
Some PI developers prefers not to create this elements in the PI system and suggested a way to create them in the ERP.
I wanted to crosscheck with you all whether Lookup to PI system is better or to ERP system in terms of performance, security and std maintenance.
-Conceptually, they see PI as a communication tool, not the best option for storing data, which is an ERP function.
some prefer ERP option to Simplify the upgrade / system patching processes. As No Z-Objects makes the checking process much easier and there is no need to adapt those objects to the new release environment.

But in my case the RFC lookup will be executed twice because the authorization data(token ans sign values which is stored in PI) is valid for 12 hours.
if I find that these data is expired ,I have to do a soap lookup to get these details from a webservice and also have to update the same in the PI table using RFC lookup.All these activities are done in message mapping.
so first RFC LOOKUP is used to fetch the data and if expired,I get these details from a webservice and update(executing second time RFC LOOKUP) in PI table ,so that next time when request comes ,I will fetch these details from PI table instead from webservice to send message to the receiver.
same functionality is required for 4-5 scenarios,all acessing the same PI table.
So Kindly advice considering these situation,will the performance,security,maintenance be good when doing RFC lookup to other ERP instead of doing RFC lookup to PI system .

Unable to Open unix file in UNICODE system which created NON-UNICODE system

We have two SAP systems both are ECC6.0 but System 1 is NON-Unicode and System2 is Unicode system.
There is a common unix directory/folder for both system.
Our requirement is to create one file on unix common folder and write the data to file from system1 .
In system2 open the same file for appending mode to write the data .
The file in system 1 created with below sentence.
OPEN DATASET g_unix_file FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING UTF-8.
Now I have to append the data from system 2 to same file.
I have tried to used below statement in system 2 to open the file but sy-subrc value comes as '8'.
1> OPEN DATASET g_unix_file FOR APPENDING IN TEXT MODE ENCODING UTF-8.
2>OPEN DATASET g_unix_file FOR APPENDING IN legacy TEXT MODE CODE PAGE
cdp IGNORING CONVERSION ERRORS .

Tried out all the possibilities as per F1 help given for open dataset , but still there is problem with opn file in appending as well output mode.However the file successfully open in Input mode(Read).

Hi - I recently purchased a new iMac. I have a registered cs5 design premium package which is an upgrade - I have no disc for cs4 but have the qualifying serial number for it. I have installed cs5 via download onto my iMac but it is not accepting the serial number. Can anybody help. Does anybody else think that Adobe will loose a lot of customers by not providing any chat or call support for cs5 users??

I recently purchased a Mac OS X 10.6.6 which was an upgrade from my Mac OS version 10.4.1.1 I downloaded the Adobe Photoshop CS2 which I had on my old computer and now it cannot read my NEF files which is a RAW file from my Nikon D200. I did not have this problem on my old Mac. I always shoot RAW and can't open any photos. Can anyone help me PLEASE?!?
Do you have access to another Mac to see if the disk can be read by it? If it can't then you're pretty sure it's the disk. If it can then there may be issues with your optical drive which might be cleared up by using a cleaning disk on it, one that uses dry brushes (no liquid).
If you have access to another Mac and it can read the iWork disk make a disk image of it so you can move the disk image to your iMac and install from the disk image.

Scenario for interface between a non sap system and a SAP erp

I need some help in order to elaborate a interface between a SAP ERP and a non-sap system with the help of a XI system.
- At first regarding the interface from the non sap system and a SAP ERP :
the non sap system sends a flat file to the XI system. The flat file contains a row with header data and rows with item data. We were thinking when the file arrives to the XI system, to save the data in a header database and in a items database in XI. is it possible ?
And then to have like a job that reads the database and creates idoc and sends them to the SAP erp and updates the xi header and items database with a flag that means that the records have been sent to the SAP erp.
- Regarding the interface SAP erp to non SAP system:
the SAP erp sends idoc to XI. Then the idocs are transformed into flat file.
Is this scenario possible ?
Do we need any adaptator between the non sap system and the XI ?

Idoc doesnot support synchronous call. So you can use either proxy or function module and inturn call the idoc from them and send response back to xi. You need to have two scenarios for your design.
Scenario1: Source File (file adapter) -- xi -- Dump into database tables (Jdbc Adapter)
Scenrio2: Pickup form Database tables (Jdbc Adapter) -- xi -- RFC Adapter ---> This is synchronous call.
Regarding the interface SAP erp to non SAP system
You can send idoc to xi and from there use File adapter to send to the receiving system.

in a scenario I use a SOAP Receiver adapter to call a BAPI in an ERP system. In the SOAP adapter I configured User Authentication.
The question is which role(s) does this user need that this scenario could work?

- SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER
But it's not working with these roles

How do I put my iPhone stored items into my iCloud storage?i have bought an upgrade but none of my phones stored items have moved to iCloud.i can't download new update from apple. due to not enough and yet iCloud space is empty??please help I don't know what I doing all I know is my phone is iPhone 4 and I can't update it. You can't have content in iCloud without having it on your phone, you will need to look at deleting items from your device that you don't need. Movies and TV shows from iTunes are possibly a good start because they tend to be large and can be redownloaded at a later date.

Can PPDS be linked to non sap system which records production
Hi, We are currently planning with SNP and PPDS but for part of our business, the manufacturing execution occurs in a non sap black screen archaic system. Is there any way to consume PPDS planned orders with the data from an external Production recording system? Or is the only way to consume PPDS planned orders via using SAP R3/ECC?
I have dug through the MES PDF and the BAPIs and cant find a way to "consume" the PPDS planned orders without using SAP R3.

There is no limitation to connect two non SAP Systems,PI will support to connect two differt non SAP Systems.
The reuirement you mentiioned bit not clear,what i understood is use JDBC Adapter at sender side and SOAP adapter at receiver side.How to use these adapters search in sdn you will find tons of documents.

I was running firefox 3. ? with little difficulty. the new 4.0 upgrade came out and I hit the button to update only to find that I was unable to use it. I had to search my archives, to find firefox 2 which allowed me to find a browser that I could use: Opera. It works well but I can't use netflix watch instantly etc... HOw can this be remedied.

Networked or non-networked system?
Hello people.Me again with stupid questions. As I said, I want to use my computer as server, to serve web pages in local area network, for my family and my neighbours. What I want to do is to set up a network, and on the very first step of the installation I am in dilemma. Should my system be a networked? What solaris mean under 'networked'? Is this settings for my network, or for internet? I use ADSL, and I get the dynamic Ip adress, each time I connect. So what to do? To say that my system is networked, and should I enable DHCP, or should I configure it manually? I am really confused. I tried to set it up manually, but installation did not found any default routers... I want to my server have a static Ip adress... What to do? And is this a settings for the internet, of for local area network? Thank you again, and sorry for stupid question.

have? Is 20 gb ok? Yes 20GB is sufficient. When installing Solaris and you get the choice of partitions, I would recommend adding an extra partition of about 4GB. This will allow you to do Live Upgrades. Google for dual boot Solaris and Live Upgrade there is plenty of documentation on this.
