Will those drivers work with my PCI X-Fi platinum?
Also, what do you mean install the creative drivers on top? Do you install the Daniel K drivers then the creative ones?
Thanks for all the help you have provided to others so far.
I am having SCP issues with an X-FI platinum on an EVGA 780i SLI motherboard (not running SLI) with a Q6600, 4gb of ram (in all 4 slots) and an 8800GTS on Windows 7x64 pro.

  • Which driver to use in the BPM Configuration Steps?

    Hi,
I´m in the BPM configuration steps and we will use BPM on a Weblogic Server, I´m in the step when you need to create to JDBC Data Sources for the Enterprise and Directory Databases, do you know which driver shoul I use? should it be XA o Non-XA?
    Thanx in Advanced!
    Kind Regards,

Since there are no drivers, you can create your own, request one, use the Instrument I/O Assistant, or hope someone has one and posts it here. For help on creating one or requesting one, see the main Instrument Driver Network page. As long as you are familiar with the instrument and have the manual, creating a driver is not that hard.

  • BEA MS Sql server which driver to use?

We have BEA weblogic 8.1 and want to work with sql server Which driver
    shoudl we use ?
    i believe driver is deprecated
Bea talks about the new driver
"WebLogic Server 8.1 SP1 includes a new JDBC driver from BEA for connecting
to a Microsoft SQL Server database. The BEA WebLogic Type 4 JDBC MS SQL
Server driver replaces the WebLogic jDriver for Microsoft SQL Server, which
is deprecated. The new driver offers JDBC
3.0 compliance, support for some JDBC 2.0 extensions, and better
performance. BEA recommends that you use the new BEA WebLogic Type 4 JDBC MS
SQL Server driver in place of the WebLogic jDriver for Microsoft SQL
    Server."
Do we have to install sp1 or sp2 to work with this driver. How can we get
    sp1 ,
    Thanks,

Where did the Driver file place?
You can copy the driver file to the JAVA_HOME/lib
folderDo not put that JDBC JAR in JAVA_HOME/lib.
You should put it someplace close to your app and add it to the CLASSPATH when you compile and run?
Geez, doesn't anybody think about a standard directory structure to use for their apps? Put it in a /lib directory with the rest of your app stuff. - MOD

  • Doubt about which driver to use for ATI Technologies Inc SB600 IDE

Currently this is what I get with lspci -v

    I/O ports at ff00 [size=16]
    Kernel driver in use: pata_atiixp
    Kernel modules: pata_atiixp, atiixp
it seems there are two different modules I can use, is the one being used an older one and I should blacklist it or should I follow the rule if it isn't broken, don't fix it?

As mentioned in that page, I added the 'radeon' repository and installed the following packages:
    - kernel26-firmware-git
    - radeon_ucode
    - dri2proto-git
    - glproto-git
    - libdrm-git
    - mesa-full
    - xf86-video-ati-git
The process did not turn out to be smooth. Package addition could not be done even after supplying '--force' to pacman. For example:
    $ sudo pacman -S -f dri2proto-git
    resolving dependencies...
    looking for inter-conflicts...
    :: dri2proto-git and dri2proto are in conflict. Remove dri2proto? [y/N] n
    error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
Then, I resorted to libaral use of '--cascade' and the box failed to reboot. Had to boot from CD, mount partitions, chroot to the installed system and reinstall the kernel (infact, all packages using a list that I had saved before starting).

  • Which driver to use to print to a dot matrix printer?

    All-
Hi, we are using Adobe Output Designer 5.7 to create invoice templates.  We use a custom application that uses Adobe Output Central Server (5.6) to create invoices and print them to a network printer.  We are about to do a new release in Chile, which requires a dot matrix printer be used for printing due to gov't regulations.  Does anyone know what kind of print driver could be used to effectively print to a dot matrix printer?  It seems like all the drivers we have used don't work.
Additionally, we also tried using the .pdf driver in conjunction with the Web Output Pak, but unfortunately that result is just as bad.  Does anyone know of a workaround to get Pdf's to work with a dot matrix printer?  By googling, I found that we could try copying the .pdf output and pasting into Word, but I haven't tested this yet and it makes for a cumbersome process.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,
Unless you can convert the PDF to a text file, and print that, I doubt there is any way to send PDFs to a Dot Matix printer.
If you're on Windows then one way is to use the 'windows' driver option in your template to generate the output directory for the target printer - this allows non-supported printers to be used with Output Server,

    Paul

  • Hard Drive Setup - which drives to use for what

So I have decided on buying a segate 7200.14 hard drive (Tell me if this is a bad one, I just saw a bunch of reviews and benchmarks and it is supposed to be one of the fastest), but I'm not sure weather to use it as a scratch disk, a media disk, or an OS disk. Currently I only have one slow, old 500gb drive, which I was going to use to store old media and exports (I don't need to acces projects that I worked on a year ago). I have an external backup drive as well. I was thinking of getting the 7200.14 drive, since it is so fast and cheap and using it for my main drive, but now I'm wondering, would I be better off using it as the scratch drive? I can always wait for my OS and programs and such to load slower, but I'd like stuff inside of the program to be quick. I also don't care much about exports since I'm in no rush to get the work out as quick as I can, and I normally just leave it rendering overnight.
    TL;DR
    1.) slow, old 500gb drive
    2.) new, fast 7200.14 drive
3.) I can possibly buy another drive if it's absolutely necessary, but I have gathered that the third drive is for OS, which I don't need to load quickly at all.
Which one of these things is most bottlenecked by the hard drive? What should I do with my hard drive setup?
    EDIT:
Also, is the 7200.14 a good drive? Tell me a better one if you think of one. I was thinking of getting the 1tb version but I might get the 3tb version for storage, since its a much better $/gb.

Alright, I've gathered that the media cache and the medi files are not suited to be on an SSD (media because of large file sizes and media cache because of longevity, since it has to read and write so many times). But which one would I benefit more from being faster? Or could I just leave them both slow, and get two cheaper slower hard drives instead of the one fast 7200.14?

  • [SOLVED] Intel x3100 Laptop Video Card: which driver to use?

The intel driver requires KMS starting with 2.10. So you're either wrong or all those people are still using 2.9

The i915 kernel module is used for all newer intel cards, including your 3100, so following those instructions should lead you to success.

  • Satellite L500-1KK - Which driver to use?

    Hi All!
I have noticed that Intel have released new drivers for their 4500MHD graphic card, however, the one's released on Toshiba's site for my Satellite L500-1KK are older and are never updated as frequently as those released on Intel's site, my questions are:
    1. Is it safe to use the new drivers from Intel for their chipset or should I stick to the ones released by Toshiba?
    2. What possible differences are there between these Intel drivers and Toshiba's? ?:|
    Thanks all!

    Hi,
You see, dude, If everything works fine don't touch the system with any driver update. I still run my laptop with the old drivers and satisfied.
    > 1. Is it safe to use the new drivers from Intel for their chipset or should I stick to the ones released by Toshiba?
Yes, you can use intel chipset drivers and shouldn't be worry :)

As I know, they are pretesed by Toshiba.

  • 2035n which driver to use for 32bit share on 64bit Server 2008

    I've just got a new 2035n.
I'm sharing the printer on a windows 2008 server 64bit.  I used the vista64bit driver to get it installed on the server.
I'm trying to add x86 drivers in the share tab so that my xp machines will automatically install the driver once I initiate to connect the printer to the workstation.
I'm having a really hard time to find a driver that will work.  Every time I try another driver it gives me this error:
"The specified location does not contain the driver HP LaserJet 2035n for requested processor architecture."
I've tried every driver listed on the drivers download page and cannot get anything to work.  Does anyone have any suggestions.
    Thanks so much!!

I sent out some pings about this situation yesterday but
    haven't gotten anything back yet.
Flash Player itself supports any 32-bit browser running on a
64-bit OS. That's not the problem here... What you're seeing is OS
detection on the Flash Player Download center.
So I'm still waiting for someone from the web team to get
    back to me..

  • Which driver to use for Satellite A300 - Latest one, by date or by version?

For my laptop (A300-1HV) I am looking at the driver downloads available.
There are many drivers which have a LATER modified date but LOWER version number.
Or if you like, an EARLIER modified date and HIGHER version number.
How do I decide which is the most up-to-date driver?
    Thanks.

You can install your own operating system without problems. As you can see all necessary drivers, tools and utilities you can find on Toshiba support page.
To be honest I do not understand what confuses you so much. Usually there is one driver for each hardware component and just one version for each tool or utility.
If you have question about some specific driver or tool please let us know and we can try to help you.
Please install all stuff following installations order. If you cannot find it let us know.
    Good luck!

  • Time Machine forgets which drive to use...

I've got three MBPs which backup onto Time Capsule via Time Machine.
Every day or two, on one or another MBP, Time Machine shows the exclamation mark in the Menu Bar icon, and I have to go to Prefences to re-link the Time Capsule with Time Machine, sometimes entering the password and sometimes not.
Is there a way of 'helping' Time Machine remember it's meant to use Time Capsule for backups?

Time Machine works differently with a network volume than it does with a local volume, so no, you can't use the same backup data that way. But don't let that bother you. You need more than one backup anyway. One is not enough to be safe.

  • Which Driver for MS SQL-Server 2000

    Hello,
i need to access a MS SQL-Server 2000 and want to ask which driver you think is the best one for this problem.
I am not a big fan of using beta-Software, and i do not need the newest state-of-the-art features. Right now i also do not need Connection-Pooling.
Only a few SQL SELECT/UPDATE-Statements nothing more.
But maybe in not far away future, Conn-Pooling and Procedure-Calls could be interesting. And i think Type 3 or 4 would be the best decision.
The Software will run on NT, but i do not want to use the JDBC/ODBC-Bridge, because it is so unbelievable slow.
I am interested in WHICH DRIVER you USE, AND especially which drivers you DO NOT USE ANYMORE, and why.
It would be great, if anyone could help me, finding the best solution.
P.S.: The price of the driver: It would be good, when it is for free. But if you know a good commercial driver i am also interested in.
P.P.S: Yes, i have searched for drivers under http://servlet.java.sun.com/products/jdbc/drivers. But there are 37 different Type 3/4 drivers.

You can try the jtds project .Search for it in www.sourceforge.net. It is derived from FreeTDS JDBC driver. Both of them are Type 4 JDBC drivers. So far I have tried both of them a few years ago. And jtds is more updated (during those time, not sure what the status is right now)
Or, you can get Microsofts own JDBC driver

  • Which driver?

I have an nvidia 6200 and I cannot figure out which driver to use, I think it would be the 71xx but I want to make sure before I try and mess something up.
    Thanks

I'm not an nvidia user, but 71xx are legacy drivers to my knowledge, like, 16mb legacy.
96xx is legacy too, it looks like GeForce3 era, which is old.
I believe you're able to use the plain old 'nividia' package.
