Which one of these media packs on edelivery got vision demo in them:
i) Oracle EBS Release 12.1.1 Media Pack for Linux x86-64-bit

ii) Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Media Pack for Linux x86

Please get back to me ASAP.Both do contain fresh database installation and vision demo database, and you can choose what database you want to install when you run the installer. The first file is used to install EBS 64-bit (on 64-bit Linux) while the second one can be used to install EBS 32-bit (on 32-bit Linux).

Have a good Morning!
So as I said I would, I tried to install R12.2.2 this week-end.
VM Config:
4 CPU
8gigs RAM
500gigs HDD
OREL 5.9
I followed the document provided to install all the O/S pre-req. Everything went smooth.
Downloaded all the files (From startCD 1/3 until last file before NLS media pack).
Created the stage directory (unzipped startCD 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 then ran Disk1/rapidwiz/bin/buildstage.sh [or something like that IIRC])
Executed rapidwiz.
Filled the rapidwiz install screens.
Database installed successfully.
Now for the application, the main install script start on friday ~5pm and sunday 3pm, it didn't move yet.
Looking at the log file, I could see it copied all files, executed some scripts up to the main install part.
Looking at the install pdf (in the Documents directory), Oracle recommend a minimum of 10gigs of RAM for 0-10 users. I though for a "lab" i would be fine, but I guess not (looking at "free -g" during the database install, I could see that I had 6gigs ram free and when the main apps install script start, I had 0 free, which seems to point in the same direction).
So I ordered more RAM and will retry once I have more

My install got stuck at 38% in Apps Tier as well. Doing some strace found that one script was expecting and input of JDK from user. Since it was in the background it was waiting forever.
Tried it on a virtualbox vm (10GB ram) yesterday. Today got the same issue on a baremetal server.

The rapid install document mentioned that on the Apps Tier setups - there will be a checkbox for using 64 bit JDK.
I did not see any such checkbox.
Looks like the install software has bugs already. That did not take long :-)
For 12.1.1 I recall startcd had to be patched first.

I am looking into Lightroom (Creative Cloud) to allow a Team Member access my Catalog to keyword search which images will work for our Social Media platforms.

I am looking at LR Creative Cloud to allow a Team Member access my catalog so she can keyword search which images will work for our social media campaigns. My catalog has both personal and business images (which are in separate folders), however, I only want them to access the business images. What is the best way to do this?
and a second question as I am new to the Cloud LR product. I am assuming that my images still stay on my external drive...how am I or her able to view these images if I am out of town on another computer?

I think the only way in Lightroom to make this happen is to use two catalogs, one for business and one for personal, and then prevent access to the personal catalog via putting it on a disk or location that your team member does not have access to.

Situations like this require you to put the catalog file AND photos on the external HD and then move the external drive to whatever location and whatever computer is needed. An alternative is to put the photos on a network drive and the catalog file on a local disk and access the catalog locally and the photos via network, but that limits you to using a single computer.

As far as I know, this does not require Creative Cloud, nor does Creative Cloud help in this situation. Furthermore, if you are thinking about a situation where you and your team member have simultaneous access to the catalog(s) of interest, this is not possible in Lightroom. Lightroom is a single user application.
If you are interested in a true multi-use application, where more than one individual can access a catalog at the same time, you might want to look at Daminion. Note: I am not endorsing or recommending Daminion, as I have never used it; I simply point out the that it has the feature being discussed.

You can upgrade to 12.1.3 once you are done with 12.1.1 installation (12.1.3 cannot be installed from the beginning, and in order to have this release you need to install 12.1.1 first).

11.5.10.2 media pack

I have a need for the media to install 11.5.10.2 of the E-Business Suite on a linux platform. We are currently running in HPUX on a pa-risc server (single tier) but would like to move to a linux environment as soon as possible. I found a Metalink document on moving over (Note 238276.1) and it talks about using Rapid Install for part of the move. I couldn't find the media pack for 11.5.10.2 on the download site. They only seem to offer version 12 these days. I've submitted an SR but have had no response as yet. Does anybody have any ideas?

Financial Analytics on Vision Demo Database(EBS)

Hi,
We are trying to configure Financial Analytics and view Dashboards for the same.
We have EBS 12 with vision database and created a Demo on the same without following Configuration steps, only by giving the credentials for OLAP and OLTP data sources in DAC and OBI. After which we were able to view some portion of Payables and Receivables. I have 2 questions
1. The measures for GL and Profitability dashboard are null. When I checked the RPD there were conditions for the columns like
FILTER(Core."Fact - Fins - GL Balance"."Activity Global1 Amount" USING Core."Dim - GL Account"."Group Account Number" = 'ACC DEPCN')
and for the same when I checked the physical table in OLAP it has only "Others" and when we checked the mappings and identified the source table in Oracle Apps we could not view any data.
The Question is Do we have any data in vision demo database to configure GL.
2. When we ran the execution plan Financials_Oracle R12 through DAC, all the mappings were successful but now when we run a mapping through Informatica it is throwing an error :
*Cannot find specified parameter file [E:\Informatica\PowerCenter8.1.1\server\infa_shared\SrcFiles\SILOS.SIL_AgreeFact.txt] for [session [SIL_AgreeFact.SIL_AgreeFact]].*
How can we resolve this issue as we know that these parameter files are provided in installation and we copied the same in Informatica folder.

The location of Parameter Files generated by DAC is defined by InformaticaParameterFileLocation parameter in Setup section in DAC itself.
Copying the source files into Infa_shared is one of the configuration steps and is needed. The thing is that you copy the source files for your mappings (like base for your fiscal calendar, etc.) and not the parameter files for your Workflow Sessions.
So we have 3 different folders here:
1. DAC default parameter folder (when DAC will create the parameter files automatically)
2. Source files for mappings (location configured in Infa)
3. Parameter files for Workflow Sessions run through Informatica (configured in each Workflow Session).
In theory if you run your Workflows only using DAC, you will not be interested in the third folder since it is not going to be used.
If you use Workflow manager, you should place your parameter files in the 3rd folder (\server\infa_shared\SrcFiles by default).
You can also rename parameter files through Workflow Session properties.

Linux performance pack jmf2.1.1e is damaged

The download for the linux performance pack of the java jmf2.1.1e is damaged and needs repair.
Does anyone know someone at Oracle to contact and report the error ?

To report it you'll need to disclose the link to exactly which download you are trying to get, and the type of workstation you're installing to.
You need to make sure you match the word size. e.g. 64bit download to 64bit workstation.

Need AIA Media Pack 11.4

Found the answer: yes, AIA FP 11.1.1.7 can be installed on SOA 11.1.1.7, and Agile-EBS PIP 11.2 is certified to be installed on that.

JMF and Linux Performance Pack

However it exits without any response :(
Why could that be?

I ran the binary on another computer (with older libraries) and it just worked there.
Now jmfinit can find various video4linux webcams. But trying to create a processor will result in an IOException:

first run "ipconfig /flushdns" and then "ipconfig /registerdns" finally restart dns service and check the situation,also you can check dns logs computer management ->Event viewer->Custom Views->Server roles->DNS.
