Which event? Which project?

I hope someone can explain this tom me. So I have an external FireWire drive that I use to edit and I have a copy of all the events and project on an internal drive as a backup. Recently, I noticed that when I open FCX and go to my project library I am seeing and using the projects from the external FW drive, which is what I want, but when I open of the projects from that drive, in the upper left section it shows me that I am using my internal drive, so now I am confused whether I am working from the external or the internal drive. Or am I using an event form the internal drive and projects from the external? How can I tell? I want the internal drive to just be a backup I don't want to be creating new projects on the internal drive. I am so confused. Can someone help?

You should not use FCP X with two copies of the same events present - especially not if the copied were made with the Finder.
If you want to keep backups of your Firewire drive events on your internal drive, that is fine if you "hide" them from FCP X. Just put them anywhere BUT the place where FCP X looks for them. You may, for example create a folder called "Final Cut Events - backup", or place the copies anwhere except in ~/Movies/Final Cut Events.

That is correct, you're not doing anything wrong. The BPEL Console doesn't show any forms for testing the services if the service is synchronous.
I test my synchronous webservices with Eviware SoapUI. This is a freeware tool. Check: http://www.soapui.org/
Just create a new project in soapUI, create a new request from WSDL, copy and paste the WSDL in soapUI. It will generate a default request for you, which you can edit and execute.

How to find out which event is triggered in SDK

Hi all
From SDK, I am would like to know which event is triggered when the user select navigation menu Follow up -> Create Lead (screen 1).
I am guessing, it calls LeadCreateWithRef outport event but I don't see any absl code?? (screen 2)
When I try to switch from Display to Edit, I got error "Component which you are trying to edit comes from a lower layer. Please use Extensibility Explore to Edit" (screen 3)
Also in Extensibility Explorer, I can't open the button details (can't even see it in the buttongroup).
Any advice is welcomed.

Thanks for the info. I am trying to do reverse engineering, to understand how to existing UI screen is built, how and what events get called when button is pressed and which screen will be opened.
For example, in Ticket screen, when I select Follow up then Create Lead:
I cannot drill down to see the button and its properties??
nb. Also there is no left right scroll bar to see the rest of button group. Is it a bug?? I am using Windows 8.1.
And in outport setting, I don't see which action/event triggered? and what screen to show?

Can you pls let me know the BOR & event which triggers after vendor master change. (Xk02). I used tcodes SWELS (evetn trace) , and SWEL and changed vendor adress using XK02. but I could not find any event or BOR in the trace. Pls help me out.

when we change the vendor details we dont have the event which is automatically triggered by the system so we create an zbusinessobject as subtype for the vendor(LFA1) as supertype.
and create a new event in that z business object .
change document for the vendor is KRED you can check it in the CDHDR table by giving tcode name.
after finding changedocument object go to SWEC and create a newentry specifying your changedocumentobject name and BO name and event name and click on radiobutton onchange.
and now you can check whether an entry is getting in swels or not when changing the vendoor details.

Ok, so I finally got it working but this is not ideal at all. Adobe really needs to give us some direction on how to properly deal with font embedding and TLF now that the release build breaks all functionality with loading runtime fonts and TLF.
Problem:
I am embedding collections of fonts (faces) into single family classes. Each individual face is registered with Font.registerFont(). I need to do this because I have to have mixed fonts within text flows - at least according to Alex H's recent blog post.
Fonts do not display in TLF without doing the following:
1. GlobalSettings.resolveFontLookupFunction = null;
2. editor.textFlow.flowComposer.swfContext = ISWFContext(this.getFontContext("AnyFamilyNameFromAnyFontEmbedded", false, false, FontLookup.EMBEDDED_CFF));
3. Instead of #2, use editor.textFlow.invalidateAllFormats();
Either #2 or #3 need to be performed. If I have a spark richEditableText control in MXML with defined familes from the loaded fonts. I even tried placing the control into a separate state so it wasn't created until after the fonts were loaded... I still needed to invalidate the formats or set the context.
The "AnyFamilyNameFromAnyFontEmbedded" does not need to be all of the embedded family names. It only needs to be one of them. Once one is used, all embedded fonts work. Also, I have to use the internal namespace to even get access to getFontContext, another oddity that, in my humble opinion, should never be necessary to create mixed style TLF content.
My questions are then:
1. Why am I required to use ISWFContext if I am using Font.registerFont()?
2. Why is GlobalSettings.resolveFontLookupFunction = null; also required for this to work?
3. What is the recommended workflow to embed fonts from multiple SWF files into the release build and have it work without having to jump through all these hoops?

Photos app on iPhone contains photos under Events which aren't in iPhoto on Mac

Hi,
When I open the Photos app on my iPhone 4S there are a series of "Events" which contain photos. None of these events are listed within iPhoto on my Mac and I can't find where it is taking the photos from. All the events are just labelled with a date, for example "17 Dec 2012", but I am unable to delete the photos from my iPhone and because they are not showing up in iPhoto I can't delete them from there!!
Any suggestions?!?

I figured it out if anyone else is having the same issue. I had to manually kill the photo app and it updated the pictures I just added when I re-opened it.

I am trying to use pro filer to create a trace,so that it can be used as workload in
"Database Engine Tuning Advisor" for optimization of one stored procedure.
Please tel me about the Event classes which i should use in trace.
The stored proc contains three insert queries which insert data into a table variable,
Finally a select query is used on same table variable with one union of the same table variable, to generate a sequence for records based on certain condition of few columns.
There are three cases where i am using the above structure of the SP, so there are three SPS out of three , i will chose one based on their performance.
1) There is only one table with three inserts which gets into a table variable with a final sequence creation block.
2) There are 15 tables with 45 inserts , which gets into a tabel variable with a final
sequence creation block.
3)
There are 3 tables with 9 inserts , which gets into a table variable with a final
sequence creation block.
In all the above case number of record will be around 5 lacks.
Purpose is optimization of queries in SP

You can use the "Tuning" template to capture the workload to a trace file that can be used by the DETA. See

If you are capturing the workload of a production server, I suggest you not do that directly from Profiler as that can impact server performance. Instead, start/stop the Profiler Tuning template against a test server and then script the trace
definition (File-->Export-->Script Trace Definition). You can then customize the script (e.g. file name) and run the script against the prod server to capture the workload to the specified file. Stop and remove the trace after the workload
is captured with sp_trace_setstatus:

Create event doesnt exist in BUS2012.check if custom business object exists for this by using 'where used list',probably it may have created event.

How do I find an event which is triggered on line selection for ALV grid?

I'm trying to find an event which is triggered when a user selects a row in the ALV grid. I want to add my own code in to add up the total values of selected lines, but can't find any event which will trigger my method.
I found CLICK_ROW_COL but it's protected so when I try and add a method for it:
PROTECTED SECTION.
    METHODS:
    select_row
        FOR EVENT click_row_col OF cl_gui_alv_grid.
I get the syntax error:
Access to protected event "CLICK_ROW_COL" is not allowed.
Am I using the right event? Am I implementing it correctly?

I chose to solve this by removing the line select buttons from the ALV and replacing them with a checkbox defined as a hotspot. I then used EVENT hotspot_click FROM cl_gui_alv_grid to highlight the line and change my totals on a single click.

Decide which event was started

Hi guys,
I'm working on a workflow for vendor master data. It starts when a vendor is created or changed. This occurs in a 3rd party application but the information is passed on to R/3 without problems.
However, I would like my first decision step to find out if it's a change or a new creation (basically which event was started). The reason for this is if it's a change I will show TC XK04 and if it's a new vendor TC XK02 is shown.
How can I make this happen in my decision step? I've tried a few options but can't get my head around it.

I can't make a method in the object to check if a vendor has been changed or created. This is because the vendor is maintained via a different interface. Hence when my workflow is started table LFA1 will always have vendor number.
<b>Kjetil:</b> The workflow is started when a vendor is created or changed, but as mentioned this doesn't happen in R/3. I haven't seen the BAPI that does the job yet, but as I understand it just updates the table. We've also included a bit of code to initialise the event.
I'll check out the other suggestions in a bit.

There is not currently out-of-the-box support for paging events to disk storage. If you truly have more events than can fit into the Java heap, you could try persisting the events to the database or to a data grid, such as coherence, and then joining with the database or cache to create the complex event containing the causal events.
Another approach is to horizontally partitioned the stream of incoming events across multiple servers.

Control which events are synced with iPad?

I have iCloud set up on my Mac/iPad, and it is successfully syncing my calendar events.
However, I don't want minor recurring events that I have on my Mac calendar to be popping up alarms and cluttering up the calendar on my iPad.
How do I control which events are synced with the iPad?

You could either make a calendar under "On My Mac" to take the events you do not want synced to iCloud.
Alternatively make a calendar under "iCloud" for them and uncheck it on the calendar list on your iPad.

Visual C++, C#, VB.Net are all running on the DOT.NET enviroment and are different languages that have no difference in functionality.
C and C++ does not run on the DOT.NET platform, but directly on the CPU.
C# does also deals with processes and threads, and you can load DLL's at runtime/compile time if you want.
C# also have console applications.
