I tried looking in this forums, but couldnt gather much information on which legacy systems are used and for what purpose? can any body send me a link that can help me understand when and where, which systems are used for what purpose.. I have a general understanding of Legacy systems so i am not looking for terminology explanation, i would appreciate any thing that is related to business and explains the purpose.

Hi,
Term legacy system means tailor made system by group of software developer or any branded software which deals with the group requirement like tally we user for finance.
Legacy system can be based on any technology like visual basis as front end and oracle as back end or Developer 2k as front end and oracle as back end. For report most of the legacy system we have seen uses crystal report.
You can develop and implement based on the requirement from the user though you need to define some specify process to keep the system streamline which is in your hands.
Concept like devlopment/quality/production we don't have that verys strict concept.
More and more they are not intergrated each other functionally mean lets say inventory has come to the godown then your vendor outstanding should increase in finance which does not happens you need to key in the seperate value for it.

Which Apple servers are used for authentification?

I use iPad in corporate network via WiFi.
Network is secured by gateway, which stands as a proxy for any inside/outside traffic.
I have an issue - while using AppStore on iPad, after pressing Install button on any application, I got error message:
'Couldn't connect to Store. Unable to setup secure connection to server. Check time settings' (the message is in Russian, so it's not 100% accurate translation).
The issue is solved very easy - if I would press Install while I'm on GSM network internet (3G), app is starting to download. Then I presson app to pause, turn on WiFi and press app to continue - voila, it's downloaded with no problems. So the issuer is narrowed only to failed authentification via gateway, because downloading itself is going OK.
Admins have to add iTunes servers to white list in order to provide working authentification, but couldn't finf exact list of what Apple servers' IP / domain names to add. Does anybody have this info?

Which method is used for event creation

Dear All,
My client has more then one Purchase Organization. Workflow for Purchase order release very from pur org to pur org. For example - workflow WS92000030 is trigger when PO is created for India pur org where as workflow WS92000021 is trigger when PO is created for US pur org.
I checked and found that same Object Type - BUS2012 & event - RELEASESTEPCREATED is used in all Pur. Org PO release workflow. Also I found in Transaction code - SWETYP that Type linkage activate for BUS2012, RELEASESTEPCREATED in all the PO workflow - WS92000030 & WS92000021.
As per my knowledge, event can be created in various way such as Function module, Change document, General status management, Business Transaction Events etc.
Can some one guide me, how can I found that which method is used for event creation in different pur org?
How can I fould what is the fuctional module used for event creation if Fuctional module used for event creation.
For your information, I can see in T. Code - SWUO that 'Result dependent on a check function module' for all the workflow - WS92000030, WS92000021 etc.

I dont think they have used the Function module or change document or any other kind of methods to trigger the workflow. This is because RELEASESTEPCREATED method is a standard method and it will be triggered by standard SAP. They can not make changes in standard sap saying RELEASESTEPCREATED should be triggered for this Purchase Org .
Istead what i think is, they might have given the Event Condition for each workflow.
In SWDD>> basic settings>> Start Events, we can give condition on triggering the workflow.
Please check this.

According to I know, the definition of Quality Efficiency is (complete qty) / (start qty).
For this calculation, does OEE report just use qty_started and qty_completed of PRODUCTION_LOG table?
If any other tables/columns/logic are implemented, your information is appreciated.

hi,
i use jmeter for without issues..
first make sure that the system from where you are doing load testing is in the same lan(without firewall) to that of server. Here you are testing the capacity of server and not the network bandwith.
So assuming very good network connection what is the servers performance level...
If u have to decide which tool is decent enough to load testing,
i would suggest go for jmeter. its reliable and i have used it without problems.
Here is my quick tutorial for jemeter which i made for my teams reference.

     Extract jakarta-jmeter-2.3RC4.zip in c:

     In Test Plan add Thread Group
     Right Click Thread Group -> Add->Sampler->HTTP Request
     Select HTTP Request added fill details
          Serverip:www.xyz.com
          Port:80
          Path:/xyz-webapp/index.jsp
          Use KeepAlive: Checked
          Retrive All Embeded images from HTML: Checked(For geting images inside html)
     Right Click Thread Group -> Add->Listner->Graph Results
     Click on Thread Group Fill details
          No of Threads:3(This means no of simultaneous users)
          Ramp Up Period:1(3 Request will be made in 1 second period)
          Loop Count:5(Above process should be repeated how many times)
     Save TestPlan
     Run -> Clear All
     Run -> Start

     Try adding different listener in Thread Group
          Thread Group -> Add->Listner->Summary Report
     Listeners coud be added at thread group level or HTTP Request Level
RECORDING A TEST.
     Add a HTTP proxy server in workbench by right clicking on it and selecting Add->Non test Element->HTTP Proxy Server.
     In Test Plan Add Thread Group
     In HTTP proxy server select Target Controller as Test Plan > Thread Group.
     Go to Internet Explorer and go to internet settings and set proxy server as localhost and the port
          which is configured in Jmeter proxy server.Save Settings.
     In Jeter proxy server start by Clicking on Start button in the HTTP Proxy Server Flap.
     In browser navigate the application which you want to test.
     The nodes will be added in the Thread Group.
     Once Navigation is done stop the proxy server and save the test plan from file menu.
LOGGING INTO APPLICATION.
     When we have to login into system and then navigate the system
          we need a cookie to be tracked after login. This could be achieved
          simply by Add -> Config Element -> HTTP Cooie Manager.
     After adding the HTTP Cooie Manager simply run the test.
LOOPING COUNTER.
     When a request is made multiple parameter is sent to server.
     Parameters are sent from the HTTP Request node added in the Thread Group
          in "Send Parameter with the request" table.
     If we run the loop count 10 times the parameters will be sent same in every request.
     If you have to send parameters like user1,user2,user3,user4....
          then add -> Pre processor -> Counter.
     Put start as 1 and and Maximum as 10 or whatever required.
     Put Referene name as iCtr or whatever.
     In the "Send Parameter with the request" in value column put user${iCtr}

What counter method to use for measurements on combustion engine

Here is my dilemma. I want to measure the rpm of crank/cam shaft and thus I need to determine which of the three methods to use to get accuracy +-5rpm and couple of readings during one revolution of the shaft.
The hardware: NI PCI 6120-two counters
IRC 360-3600 pulses
Lets say I want to measure the range of rpm of the crankshaft from 100rpm(1.7Hz) to 10000rpm(166.7Hz). If I use the IRC with 720pulses I get the frequency range I will be measuring 1200Hz-120kHz assuming the IRC is on the crankshaft.
So my question is which of the methods to use? I did some calculations to determine that
1) 1 counter - the calculated rpm if the real rpm was 6000 would be between 5973-6017 which is not good enough
2) 2 counters, high freq - I would have to be using the frequency of the gate around 1Hz to get desired accuracy at 100rpm which is not suitable since I also want to have more readings through one revolution - do I understand it right? That would mean for example at 6000rpm I would have to wait 100revolutions to get one rpm reading, right?
3) seems as the right choice but still the acuracy is not good enough. If I use the divider of 10 it gives me 72readings per one revolution if the IRC is set to 720 pulse. If I measure at 6000rpm the diversion is then +-3rpm. But with 10000rpm and 3600pulses per revolution of the irc the diversion is already +-40
What method is used for this kind of measurement? How to improve accuracy?

Yes, if you want to measure 600 kHz signal, the error will increase. I thought you were intend to measure upto 120 kHz.
In Method III, we do the following:
We have a known time period (1 ms), we have a frequency to measure (100 kHz), we will know how many pulses are going to be in that period ([100*e3]*[1*e-3]=100). First, we would like to divide this frequency with the first counter: we generate another known pulse train for 1 ms period with i.e. 500 pulses. In this case the rate will be 100/500 = 1/5.
Know, we are able to measure a lower frequency signal (100 kHz*1/5 = 20 kHz) with Method I. Which results a much more accurate measurement. That is the theory behind Method III.
Pulses per revolution to read will remain the same in each case: (frequency to measur)/(basis clock); in different methods we are trying to increase accuracy with measuring either a longer period (Method II) or diveded frequency (Method III).

I have not run into this yet with my AA9 and Win7, but have been seeing posts about it. I would try a repair before I would do an uninstall and reinstall. You might also turn off javascript for a bit in case there has been some javascript that has caused problems (ok, making wild guesses). If you do decide to uninstall, be sure to deactivate first, uninstall, run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, and remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder. Then proceed to the reinstall and updates.
There is a question about whether being able to use it is correct, or you are just getting some message that is a spam that somehow got into your system (again, a possible javascript issue). Besides turning off javascript, you could also try isolating the javascripts to moving them to a temporary directory and seeing if one is causing the problem.

Does Elements need to have access to ‘My Pictures’ on Windows as when I remove Photos from ‘My Pictures’, Elements later, when backing up, gives a message that it is unable to ‘reconnect’ to the same picture on elements. On other occasions when removing a photo from Elements catalogue I also get a similar message when backing up saying ‘unable to reconnect’. 1. Is there a relationship between Elements and My Pictures and is Elements dependant on the Windows ‘My Pictures’? 2. Why does some photos in Elements in some cases cause them to multiply e.g. double; triple; quadruple; and on occasions even more? Is there something I need to do to stop this or an easy way I can remove the multiples without spending hours doing it manually one by one? Am I doing something wrong? My O/S is Windows XP SP2 and windows Vista on my Laptop. I have been using Elements 5 and have just purchased Photoshop Elements 8.0. (Upgrade) and about to install it. Be grateful for any advice as I do enjoy using the program if only I can resolve this issue. I am not a PC wiz and mainly use Elements to catalogue photos from which I compile collections and from them slide shows with music. The organizer doesn't care where you send your photos when you download them via the downloader or where they happen to be when you first bring them in if you use the Get Photos command, but once your pics are in the Organizer, you *must* move them from within organizer or it can't find them. You don't have to use My Pictures at all if you don't want to, but regardless of the folder where you put your photos, if you want them someplace else, you use organizer to do it.
