Which file do I work from with ready made template zip files?

I'm determined to figure this out. I hope you can save me some time. I'm new to website building and have built websites from scratch. Now I've been given asked to make a website for my employer using a zip file of a company template. When I extract it I get 2 folders HTML templates and Templates. If I click HTML Templates > it opens 3 folders HTML, IMAGES and INCLUDES. I have been given instructions that the templates provide me with the CSS, HTML and code I need to make standard pages. The zip file is to contain all thecode plus a number of ready pages complete with content containers already laid out and all I have to do is enter dummy content of my own. Sounds easy but making my own seems a lot easier! Where do I start. Just need a few tips and off I'll go I'm sure. Hoping you can help me otherwise I'll ask for help internally tomorrow. Thanks.

Thank you for responding. I can edit the .dwt file but can't seem to then add it as a template to any other page I create. It's probably something so simple...ugh.

This has proved unsatisfactory to me so far. Lines are left in etc.

There are two basic menus for fonts - one from the main menu bar and one from the toolbar. You can also bring up the font manage dialog.
I don't recommend trying to hard to force an otherwise foreign font, as it inevitably needs to be usable/supported on iOS as well, and that can get tricky w/3rd party fonts, as an example, even with the expanded font support in the latest iBA.
If you need to discuss fonts more, I suggest starting a new thread....preferably with a slightly more brief title, thanks.

Have a look in System Preferences -> Sound -> Output.
Plug the speakers out. Do you now see "Internal Speaker" as the name from the Built-in device? If you replug your speakers, is it now changing to "Headphone?

but i need dd.mm.yyyy. i have checked my profile and it is dd.mm.yyyy.

Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address when the iPod requested it. To check on this go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address shown starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix for this can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router model and version (the 150n designation is not a unique model), the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), is MAC address filtering being used, etc.

I downloaded sqldeveloper-1.2.1.3213.ZIP and extract to a local directory. From the extracted directory I ran ..\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper.exe from Windows XP sp2. The program itself seems to run just fine but File-Print doesn't do anything. In Help-About, Java Platform is reported as 1.5.0_06 and Oracle IDE is 1.2.1.3213. I'm not sure where to look for what is causing the problem.

I hadn't tried CTRL-P before but I did today. On the first attempt, I saw a small jump in the memory usage for sqldeveloper.exe as reported in Windows Task Manager. Otherwise, there was no change. A second CTRL-P in the same session produced a further bump but subsequent attempts in the same session produced no further change in CPU or Memory Usage.
Using Task Manager to monitor this further, I tried File->Print again and saw that sqldeveloper would periodically climb to 1 or 2 percent CPU and consume a little more memory. After a minute or so, though, all activity stops again.
I do not get a print dialog box from SQLDeveloper using either CTRL-P or File->Print

Metagen is skipped sometimes complaining because all output files are up-to-date with respect to the input files

In one of my dll (VS2010), the process Skipping target "MetaGen" because all output files are up-to-date with respect to the input files.
it is at random. I have checked the time stamps of the dll and metagen.write.1.tlog both having the time stamp on the failed build. But all files in release folder did not have the same time. They are one hour earlier than the dll
and the metagen.write.1.tlog.
On the good build it said the input file is is newer than output file ".\Release\\metagen.write.1.tlog" and allfiles in the release folder have same time stamp.
Any clue to solve this ?

No Mac viruses are propagated through email.
Be vigilant for suspicious activity as you normally should be, but do not download or install some "anti-virus" utility in an effort to fix a problem that does not exist. That's a well-worn path to certain misery.

Regenerating Application System ~Template~ Zip files

Hi All,
For some reason, not yet fully understood (maybe human error), we found missing templates and dimension files in one application in the file share. This subsquently generated an error when downloading client files 'missing measure information" for example. Templates were also missing. Why this happened we are not sure, but from a certain date, the files for the Finance application were different.
Now, please forgive me as I don't fully understand this area, but when/how do these template zip files get regenerated??
What would be the best way to re-include these files to corrospond to how the files should be?? Can the dim file be regenerated? Is it possible to repack\regenerate the zip with the missing templates?

Process dimension will not download the templates.
My suggestion is to do Modify application because this command is recreating the cube dimension and all the information necessaary for application.

The instructions say:
"To install a custom layout, select File > Create > PDF Portfolio.
In the “Create PDF Portfolio” dialog box, click Import Custom

However, there is no "File>Create>PDF Portfolio" menu option...

Acrobat Standard can't make Portfolios; you shouldn't have been offered that item when you registered. I suggest you contact Customer Support and ask for your selection to be reset.

Can I get ready-made templates for presentation?

I am savvy user of photoshop but I am new to adobe preiere pro. I need to make a presentation for the site http://www.7boats.com/ . Can I get some good ready-made templates in premiere pro so that minimum edit is required by altering text/images? Is it included in the regular license or do I need to purchase anything extra? Any sugestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Premiere has some templates, you can check them out:
Title / New Title / Based on Template.
You can find free and licensed templates (like intro's, lower third) on the Internet but they are usually for After Effects and Photoshop.

Want to open Kodak Photo CD files (.PCD) in Photoshop CS5. In CS4 i copied file "Photo CD.8BI" from an older version into the File Format folder. This does not work with CS5. Any fix?

I have several old Kodak Photo CD with PCD image files. I am now using Photoshop CS5. Some years ago while using Photoshop CS4 I copied a file: "Photo CD.8BI" from an older, CS2, version to the Plug-ins/File Format folder of CS4. This does not appear to work with CS5. Any fix?

It can be made to work, but you have to run the 32 bit version of Photoshop CS5, and as I recall there's an additional DLL called pcdlib32.dll that's needed from the old installation.

What is the best file format to work in, with PSE11

For years I have been editing and saving my cartoons in JPEG format. They looked fine on my site and I was happy. But then uh-oh yesterday while perusing PSE Help I read that I should be editing and saving in Photoshop's own PSD format because saving JPEGs diminishes the quality of the artwork. Then, after looking into it further, I read that TIF files are by far the best unless you're displaying your stuff on a webpage where that format often isn't recognized by the browser in which case you should use PNG format which is the awesome "new gif". I also learned that I should work always from the original image, not from the saved JPEG file, although my first question here would be if you're not supposed to ever Save a JPEG, how can you "close down" your day's work on Photoshop, go have a beer, and then open it again the next day for further editing? Or protect your work from an unexpected and unsaved-image-destroying power failure during a long editing session? How do you keep the image "original"?? Anyway, my stuff scans in as a PNG file so, unless someone can set me straighter, I guess I'll leave it as that. Cheerz in advance for any advice.

Let's divide the question in three stages:
- Originals. They can be jpeg or raw for photos from cameras, or jpeg or tiff (also png?) for scans. You can always keep them and use copies instead of overwriting them. Raw format is special, you can't alter their data so that editing is saved in non-destructive way.
- working or archive format: what you have read is true. To keep the best quality, you use either tiff or psd (not much difference). PNG, which stores transparency, is good for web work, but if you edit with layers, use tiff or psd in the working stage. This can be summarized : don't use jpeg if it's not the final output format.
- final output : jpeg is perfectly ok if it's the final stage and you don't choose too much compression. It's up to you to choose if you don't want to re-edit your pictures later on. If you think you might re-edit, see above for working stage (tiff or psd). With raw files, keep the raw file and the edits (xmp sidecar files or DNG format); if you keep the 'recipe', you don't need to keep the final output, you can recreate it when needed.
