First try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

Which midi keyboard you suggest to be used with Logic Pro?
I'm thinking of getting a midi keyboard to input notes rather than use my mouse to input it one by one > . < . Any suggestion. People say M-Audio is great? Which model u suggest?
It depends on what you want the keyboard for.
I recently purchased an M-Audio Oxygen 61 and love it. It has 61 keys (obviously...) with a good number of sliders and knobs. Nothing totally fancy, but it has a great feel to it. I think it ran me around $140-150? I could have gone a bit smaller, maybe a 49, for cheaper, but I like not having to switch the octaves when I'm doing work.
The Axiom Pro line has a very solid reputation, but it'll run a bit more moneys. There's a lot more to it and it has pads on it. Possibly a plus if you're looking for an all-in-one unit like that.
Akai MPK's are very nice, too. The 25 key is cheap enough to no break budget, but with only 25 keys, you may feel lacking. There's a LOT of banks for pads and control memory, so this is a plus. I wasn't very impressed with the pads on it when I used it for a week or so. Personal preference though....
Novation also has an incredibly high reputation, but they're up there in price with the Axiom Pro's. I imagine that goes down to preference as well.
In my opinion, you should determine what you plan to use it for. If all you want is a keyboard to make input easier/more expressive, something like the Oxygen will work great for you. There's enough control on it to suffice. If you're looking for MORE control, sort of a keyboard + pad + mixer, going more expensive will be your best bet.
I've always been an advocate of getting an external pad source, though. I just feel like the ones that I have played around with had a much better feel when on a standalone unit versus an all-in-one station. -

If your windows system is 64 bit, then you would have the 64 bit version of photoshop elements 13 and the EPS Parser.8BY is an 32 bit plugin and won't work in the 64 bit version of pse 13.
(i don't believe you can install the 32 bit version of pse 13 on a 64 bit windows system)
So the solution would be to keep pse 9 and use it for things that pse 13 won't do.

You need to find the format of the drive by looking at its info, my guess would be you are currently in NTFS (windows only) mac can use any mac os journaled or non journaled, or you can use fat32 which is usable on both pc and mac but is unable to move files over 4GB so no good for large file transfers. You will need to re format at some point but this will delete everything currently on the drive.

How to put a file in a folder, which folder is already in the Bookmarks menu
I opened a file in WORD and saved it on my desktop. from desktop I want to enter it in the folder titled BOOKS TO READ, which folder is already entered in my Bookmarks Menu.
I use Windows 8 and Firefox and Gmail.Generally speaking, all bookmarks need to have a URL that Firefox can load. This is difficult for Word documents because Firefox doesn't have the native capability to display them, so if you try to open a Word document in Firefox, it always displays the Open/Save/Cancel dialog. This may make it impossible to get the file:// address of the Word document into the Firefox address bar.
That said, you could try using Ctrl+O to open the file from the desktop, or try dragging the document into an open Firefox tab, and see whether you can get the address to appear in the address bar.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I need to make a master DVD that can then be duplicated in bulk as a single layer disc. This surprises me because I tried burning a different DVD project that has worked in the past which is also 4.5 GB and now I could not burn that either. I also reencoded some material to get the new project down to 4.4 GB but it still would not burn. Any ideas are appreciated.

Since I started using Lion (10.7.2) I'm prompted to type my password if I want to add a folder or put something in the trash. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Restart Lion and hold down the Command and R keys.
You will boot into the Repair Utilities screen. On top, in the Menu Bar click the Utilities item then select Terminal.
In the Terminal window, type resetpassword and hit Return.
The Password reset utility launches, but you’re not going to reset the password. Instead, click on the icon for your Mac’s hard drive at the top. From the drop-down below it, select the user account where you are having issues.
At the bottom of the window, you’ll see an area labeled ‘Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs’. Click the Reset button there.
The reset process takes a couple of minutes. When it’s done, quit the programs you’ve opened and restart your Mac. Notice that ‘Spotlight’ starts re-indexing immediately. -

Press the show folder button under profiles.
Windows explorer is not in your profile folder.
As the location contains a random string it is impossible to say exactly where a profile is, But this method asked Thunderbird to tell you.
Needless to say it will default to a location below the Thunderbird folder is appdata. Appdata is a special application data folder provided by windows and hidden by default. The is a setting in windows to show hidden files and folders. -
Bookmarks - Hate the firefox version. Double click on star in the address window to bookmark the site and the pop-up window is too small and user unfriendly. And when in the bookmark window and have bookmarks on the right side of the screen there is no way to know which folder on the left you are actually in. Is there any way to upgrade the bookmarks feature. So frustrating I might actually go back to IE because of this. Thanks.

I have an second issue as well: When I hook off all-day it comes up with an 8 hour event!
And then if I put in a late start hour it pushes end time to next day due to the 8 hour event suggestion.
All in all this gives a lot of changes just to enter an event.

I tied putting them in Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/ilfe Sound Effects and they did not show up in either iMovie or Soundtrack pro....
Wondering which folder they should go into in order for them to show up correctly?

Thanks, as always!basically, these files can be placed anywhere that makes sense for your hard drive setup. i've installed SFX audio files on a 2nd internal SATA drive i use for media stuff like this.
after you copy over the files (they should be AIFF format), you can open them in the Apple Loop Utility application (this should be installed in the Utilities folder). you can use this utility to tag the files with metadata information regarding what type of sound effect it is, etc. this can be time consuming, but makes it easier to find them later in SoundTrack Pro.
once they're all tagged, go to the Loop Browser in Soundtrack Pro and click the Setup... button. from this drop-down dialog, you can click the "+" button to add a new folder of audio files. select the folder of audio files that you've tagged and then OK to add it to the list. finally, in the setup dialog, click "Index Now" which will bring in all the tags for those audio files and make them searchable and place them into the proper bins as you navigate the loop browser window.

How can I get Bookmarks to ask me in which folder to store the bookmark?
On my other computer & my wife's computer, when I click on 'Bookmarks' I am asked which folder I want to use to store the bookmark.
It used to work that way on this computer but now it does not ask where to save the bookmark. I just saves it in the 'Recently Bookmarked' folder.
How can I get back to asking me which folder to use?

I have a power Mac G4 with a mirror front running 10.4.9. How current of an OS can I run on this machine? I want to put it back into use but need to upgrade the OS so that I can run the newest version of Quickbooks amoung other things.
