Which font supports the blackboard bold math symbols?

Simple question: I'd like to use the blackboard bold symbols for real numbers, natural numbers etc. Which font on the Mac has these and how do I get them in my text, e.g. in TextEdit?

Okay. I was just going by what 99.9% of the world's population would consider a blackboard.
Even looking for "blackboard font" in Google only leads you to various fonts which look like they were hand written on a chalkboard. Much like the one I linked to above.
What you want is referred to as an outline font. I know I have the font you linked to on Wikipedia, and quite a few others much like it, but I don't have the time to dig and see which ones they are right now.
However, a quick look an Adobe's site shows that Monotype Old Style Outline Bold is close to what you're looking for. Main search page if you want to look for others.

Dodo does not support the Blackberry Bold 9900 - can this be fixed?

Which font supported in Arabic language

Can somebody please suggest me how to develop Arabic language course. witch font support in this language. i am using captivate 6.

Language support is outside of Captivate. As long as you have the font installed in your system, it will work in Captivate.

Which ASD supports the Quad?

I have a Power Mac Quad G5 which really seems to need a Thermal Calibration. Unfortunately, Apple Service Diagnostic 2.5.8 only seems to support the Dual G5 and models from 2004. I don't plan on running the tools unless they claim to support my computer (even though there is a built-in check for compatibility).
Which Apple Service Diagnostic disc is appropriate for the final 2005 revisions of the Power Mac G5? I believe that there was only ever one model of the Quad, so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to track down the right disc for this "ancient" Mac.
P.S. I have cleaned nearly all of the dust out of the computer (there wasn't much), have pressed the reset button on the SMU, and purchased Hardware Monitor to confirm that the temperatures are within normal bounds. Since my fans will frequently run at too high an RPM, and sometimes get stuck on full after heavy CPU usage, I suspect that Thermal Calibration is the only way to fix my computer.

I think I've read about a 2.6.1, perhaps that is it... not sure.

Which font does the Dictionary app use?

I've got a new Mac Pro, and the font for the Dictionary app is incorrect - it's a sans serif, and pretty ugly, whereas before it was a much more attractive serif font. I did a clean install, so unless I've got a corrupted font, there's no reason why this should happen. Does anyone know which font the Dictionary app should use?

On my Mac, the primary font for Dictionary is the Baskerville family of fonts, which are serif fonts. The font itself is the Baskerville.dfont file in the Macintosh HD > LIbrary > Fonts directory. It also employs Helvetica Neue, a sans-serif font, for some elements of definitions.
Dictionary does not have a preference for changing the default font, just the font size. The actual specification of Baskerville is done in the Default.csss file for Dictionary, in the Resources subfolder of the Contents folder of the Dictionary.app bundle (Control-click Dictionary and select "Show Package Contents"). Dictionary is actually a stripped-down Web browser and its documents are formatted in HTML. The Default.css file is the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) used for formatting the appearance of Dictionary definitions, including the fonts to use by default.
If you don't have the fonts specified in its CSS, it would substitute other fonts.

HT203175 The latest version of iTunes freezes my computer whenever I try to open it. Needless to say, this is infuriating. I have Windows XP, which should support the latest version. I am particularly exasperated, because iTunes compelled me to download.

iTunes compelled me to download the latest version, before I could complete a transaction (which, needless to say, was botched). I have Windows XP, and I cannot open iTunes now without freezing or crashing my computer. This is utterly frustrating, since I can't even play any holiday music, much less update my iPod.
Can I uninstall, and reinstall the older version? I do not need all the bells and whistles, and I detest the new format (even if it were to run on my computer)?
I'd love to be able to access my Xmas playlist someday.

What didn't work? Removing everything or just the older version of Bonjour? Did you follow the instructions in the link I provided above to walk you through the process?
Perhaps it would be a better idea to post this in the iTunes forums, since it is an issue with iTunes and your iPod Shuffle.

I have all my music on an external hard drive. It is on iTunes on my old Mac mini, which cannot support the new OS, which in turn means I cannot get iTunes match. I have a new Air. What is the best way to get my music where I want/need it?

anybody have any idea how I should get that music from the hard drive to the air without having it docked all the time?

If you have iTunes Match, you don't need to use Home Sharing.
Can I get that to work through Home Sharing?
No. iTunes Match gets your music from the cloud. You upload from one computer and you can then downlaod to the other computer.

I have a very large file (millions of records) that I will need to store as a db file. We will only do look up operations on the file so far. However, I would like the following data access pattern First, I'm seeking to a specific location in the file and then reading sequentially a number of records; then, again, I may want to jump to another specific location in the file and reading sequentially a number of records. The data will be stored in the db in sorted order. I know that BDB B-trees fundamentally store keys in sorted order and a value associated with that key. However, using BTree will give me O(log N) each time when finding a specific location. Is there a way that I can combine hash and BTree to improve the performance. I.g., using hash index to find the specific location in O(1) and then do sequential reads (this can only be done by using BTree). So, I am wondering if I can accomplish this task in BDB? Since you mention the hash access method, I assume you're posting to the wrong forum. This is the forum for BDB JE, which only supports the Btree access method. The BDB product (C-based product with Java JNI API) has a hash access method, so you should probably re-post your question to the BDB forum:

The font in the UI is mostly unreadable symbols

The font is almost entirely in unreadable symbols with a minor exception. I don't recognize which font this is. It has made doing even basic things very hard, especially because I'm used to different browsers.

Here is what I know:
* Oddly now and then there is a line of readable text as can be seen in the second screenshot
* The problem persist in safe mode
* It persists after I tried to change the language to a different English version or Slovenian, it is currently set to New Zealand English
* Resetting Firefox to default didn't help
* I'm using Firefox 29.0.1
* The OS is Microsoft Windows 7 Professional , System Locale: sl, Input Locale: en-us
Complication unrelated to the core problem:
I don't have admin rights on this machine for at least the rest of this week and the admin is away. And I really need to get some work done on it. :( I will still appreciate solutions and ideas that require admin rights tho, at least it will work next week!

Does the later 2009 MacBook support the Apple DVI to Video Adapter (s-video). I want to connect it to an old tv which does not support HDMI. Any suggestions?

I have a late 2009 MacBook which I want to connect to an old LG tv. The tv does not support HDMI it only has the (red, while, and yellow) ports. Sorry I dunno the exact name for it.

The Late 2009 model 6,1 has a Mini DisplayPort not the Mini-DVI. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When the System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier.

Quality is about ongoing support longevity of product.
Its not about trying to sell to every person on the planet, others are way ahead of you.
So try respective the customers you have, it wont be long before theirs a better operating system and your lead in hardware is marginal.

If you have an iPhone or iPad do not update to ISO 7 unless you want an operating system that looks like windows 8. The graphics looks like it was designed by a artistically challenged mongoose and the operating system is not intuitive something apple users expect. Overly complicated ugly and generally change for the sake of apples paranoia since the death of Steve Jobs.
