Which Functional module to get trained on

Dear SAP experts,
I am currently looking in SAP career. I have masters in biotechnology/ biology .From last four years I am working in cosmetic / Pharma company in quality assurance. I want to be functional SAP consultant but don not know which module should I get trained on considering my education and experience.
I am new to SAP and SCN . Any help from you would be greatly appreciated .

There are two ways:
1. Check with SAP whether you can do IS-Pharma and SAP Help link to understand what is this SAP Best Practices for Pharmaceuticals – SAP Help Portal Page
This will be an added advantage and you already know the process of pharmaceutical and life science.
2. As you have already worked in Quality Assurance department, SAP Testing or SAP Test Manager jobs also suits you. But if you keen to join as Functional Consultant then check SAP MM / QM modules.

I have a employee number(Chief of a organizational unit A). Do you know which function module can get all the direct and indirect subordinate of this chief? Indirect subordinate means that this chief can also view the Organizational unit(for example, Org. unit B) that under Org. Unit A. Further more, this chief can also view all the employees in other org unit that under Org. Unit B. If there is no such function module, do anyone of you have the example coding to get it? Function module to get BOM which WOULD be created if I open a production

Is there a function module to get the BOM which WOULD be created if I open a production order?
note that I don't have the produciton order created.
I already tried with the FM CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 and CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ.
I debuged the CO01, but I did not find it.
This BOM should include materials which are under a phantom component.

thanks for the reply, but for the FMs CO_SD_RESB_FROM_BOM_CREATE and CO_SD_NEW_BOM_ASSIGNEMENT it's necessay to have an production order but I don't have it. And with CS_ALT_SELECT_COUPLED_PRODUCT I could not get a BOM.
Let me explain in more details how I'm going to use this information, I think I was not clear in my post.
I'm creating a report to compare the BOM of a production order with BOM which would be created today if I open a production order.
Then I can check if there was changes in the reservation (RESB) of the production order. If this changes happened, how many pieces. I'll check also if there was differences in consumption, because during the production order confirmation it is possible to make changes.
I would not like to make the BOM explosion "manually" because there are too many variables in the BOM like phantom, alternative, scrap and so on, but I don't know if the function module that I'd like to use exists.

You are talking about on the OM side and obtain the perner via object P?
You can through a few method. One is using evaluation path. There is a function module called HR_STRUC_GET which allow you to pass evaluation path to get the result.
Using that, you could create a simple evaluation path from position (object s) to person (object p). The object ID of object P is your pernr.
Unless you have central person functionality, that might no longer be the case.

How to identify Which function modules are used in the planning area?

there are couple of function module derviation is used to derive the calendar year, month, fiscal period etc.
But how to identify which function module is used in which planning area?
I cant find out from the where used list from function modules?

Go to characteristic relationship tab,click on detail icon on extreme left of the derivation,there you will get the name and the details of function module used for derivation.

for ex: suppose if i will substract 04.01.2008 - 03.01.2008 = 1 day.

Function module to get Service Order details created with a Sales Order

Hi,
Could anyone tell me if there is any function module to get the details of the Service order that is created automatically for a line item in a sales order. Let me explain my requirement clearly.
When a sales order is created with specific line item, a service order is automatically created for that line item. I need to get the information about the associated service order. I can't find this information in VBAK, VBAP or VBEP tables obviously. But, i can see the link between the service order created and related Sales document # and item # in the DB view CAUFV. But, the key field here is Service order #. But my requirement is to get the service order details from the key field of Sales document.
I tested the FM SD_SALES_DOCUMENT_READ_POS that reads the sales document header and item material tables, but this doesn't help me in getting the service order details associated with the material line item.

I actually saw this , but surprisingly, there is nothing stored in this field in either of the tables VBAK or VBAP. I mean, even for the sales orders which have associated service orders, nothing is stored in either of the above tables.

 When I tested the FM in my Program, it is working!!!!!
 Note that the Two Input Dates are to be in the format of DATS type (Eg: vimimv-dmibeg).
U can want the Day which u have specified in the parameter I_DATUM_BIS (eg: 20050101) to be included for
the calculation , then put X in the parameter I_KZ_INCL_BIS.
Sample Code :

Function module to get PR00 price

I would like to get PR00 price(not manually changed value, but maintained in VK13, that means not the value in VBAP or KONV, but KONP I think) by inputting sales order number as import number(just like when I click analysis button as item condition view, the
price will show up by SAP standard program). which function module can be used?
I find a module RV_KONV_SELECT. There is one import parameter including so many fields. I just entered client and order number(I think it is enought, but i cannot get the result).Please could you give some clue or where i can find the help doc about it and if any other pricing module according to my requirement.

According to your requirement, you can prepare report through S_PH0_48000513 - Ad Hoc Query , you can get percentage from IT0007 in Ad Hoc query. first decide how many fields you want and then choose in selection criteria and generate the report.

Function Module Not Getting Activated

Hi,
We are using a customised function module which we are calling in a user exit. We would like to call this function module in update task in the user exit to populate data in a custom table.
We have given the following parameters to the function module
Import Parameters
ITAB LIKE ZPRUNDAT
Export Parameters
l_subrc TYPE sy-subrc
On the attributes tab of the function module, Update Module has been selected under processing type.
When we try to activate this function module we get the following message
EXPORTING parameters are not allowed in the update task.
and the function module does not get activated. What should we change to get the function module activated?

It is not so clear to me what your are looking for. If you take a look here (as an example)

you will find a "documentation" of this function module.
I have copied only thee most important part here of the docu on this link:
"This is the central function module for linking the R/3 component Product Safety (EHS-SAF) to the R/3 component Sales and Distribution (SD). The function module is used to generate report shipping orders using data from SD. An example of a report is a material safety data sheet. "
The "inbook" in some "sense" is EHS and there transaction CVD1 and only if you have performed a correct EHS set up.
What "workflow inbox" are you looking for?? Those of the SAP SD messages ??
Could you please explain a little bit there you are "struggeling"?

    Read, determine, change spool print parameters and archive parameters
Functionality
    The function module GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS is used to define, modify and
    display the print and archive parameters. Using this function module is
    the only correct way to modify a print or archive parameter record. The
    print parameters are closely related and contain a check total. This
    check total becomes invalid if any of the print parameters are changed
    and causes a runtime error when the print parameters are used later.
    The module recognizes the following modes (values of parameter MODE):
    'PARAM'              Normal case. Define the print parameters for the
                         current program. The values that are not defined
                         are specified from the user master record or are
                         assigned default values. The print parameter screen
                         displays the PRINT key. This mode is used
                         if the MODE parameter is not specified.
    'PARAMSEL'           Like PARAMS, except that the print parameter screen
                         includes an option to activate the selection
    screen.
    'BATCH'              Define the print parameters for a background job.
                         In this mode, the name of the report to be started
                         is passed with the REPORT parameter.The REPORT
                         statement of the specified report is checked for
