Which generation is the best choice for me?

5th generation or 7th generation?
If i very like the click weel, but the 7th generation i also very like?
The 5th gen have camcorder and clickweel, and generally very familiar for me and cool (I had 2nd generation before).
The 7th also is very cool, it have touch screen, it's new and handy...
Please help me choose.
Thanks in advance
P.S. Sorry for my bad English...

The video camera on the 5th gen isn't that great, and where will you find one now? Go with the 7th gen., at least you will get warranty, EarPods, better charger, more colours. I've tried the 7th gen, and it is a lot easier to use than the 5th gen.

JSF - Tomcat security...what is the best choice for a high activity site
The JDBCRealm is not multithreaded so what are options for high activity site??

    One more question.
    Since Tomcat has this setup.

  • What is the best choice for our project? Thanks

We are a startup company and developing a webiste with two mobile app.
We use PHP in the server side and write with a private framework.
We don't want to use any host-specific APIs so that we can move to other cloud server easily.
In our case, can we use Website option in Azure?
If the answer is yes. What is the best choice for us, VM or website? We need scalability in the future.
    Thanks!

    hi,
It depends on your requirement. Base on my experience, VM or website all could meet your requirement. From your description, You could use azure website to host your php website (http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/documentation/articles/web-sites-php-configure/).
And you could use website auto scale feature in the future. I suggest you could see their comparison (http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/documentation/articles/choose-web-site-cloud-service-vm/
    Hope it helps.

  • The best choice for the 2nd exam

    Hi friends,
I'm going to obtain a certification as Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate and I need to know, for the second exam, what is the best choice for a newbie:
    Program with PL/SQL 1Z0-147

    Oracle Database 11g: Program with PL/SQL 1Z0-144
    Thank you,

    Hello All,
Next week am going for 1z0-144. Is anybody out there who has already cleared this exams and can help me about the kind of questions asked in it (like more practical or conceptual). Also about any special kind of book he studied apart from steven 4th edition.
    Thanks for your help.
DG.... Well after seeing other replies .... I think you need a bit of encourgement ... so good luck.
I have not actually taken this even.
You MAY glean a little from the JG videos .... (but be aware many will ay it tells them nothing) .... [http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2009/08/0096.html]
What follows is a little of what you may expect ...
The questions are obviously multiple choice .... at OCA level most will probably indicate the number of correct answers required (as opposed to select all correct answers ... expect to see more of those at OCP/OCE). A few may be drag and drop or something similarly fancy. Some will offer exhibits to be viewed. However there should be enough time for the reasonably able candidate to complete the exam hilst reading questions carefully if they do not daydream.
Most production exams have a set of 10 sample questions (IMHO often not of the highest quality and I am inclined to refer to them as the beta (program) rejects .... questions that didnt make it from the beta exam to the production exam .... and I don't really a justification for that). No such luck with 1z0-144 as far as I can se though.
This is a modern exam; and the questions will probably tend to reflect that. The questions will be most like 1z0-051 questions than 1z0-007 questions.
Therefore the sample questions from 1z0-051 may give a simple insight into the variation of question types o expect [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=303&p_certName=SQ1Z0_051]. (Be aware this is a very small ... and possilby skewed ... sample).
This is probably not what you are looking for .... but is about as far as I can go.
Anyone who has taken the exam is bound by non-disclosure agreements and there is very little anyone can sensibly say without possilby getting themselves into trouble.

  • Which one is the best approach for responsive UI development option in SharePoint 2013

Which one is the best approach for responsive UI development option in SharePoint 2013
Device channel or responsive UI (HTML, CSS)?

In practice you're probably going to end up with a combination. A couple of device channels for classes of device and then responsive UI within those channels to adjust to particular devices within the classes.
Of course the real answer is as always 'it depends' as you'll need to pick the best option for each client based on their needs.

  • Which would be the best upgrade for the money?

    Here is my situation:
My school has a six year life cycle for macs, and we have a 2006 Mac Pro (1,1) that is reaching the end of its useful life. I had recently tried Final Cut Pro X and it pains me to say that it took 4 hours to export a 14 minute 720p video. This mac is used for our school news and has to be a beast video editing machine. We have been saving money for quite some time and can now afford a decent upgrade. So my question to you is which would be the best upgrade for the money: a 21.5 inch iMac with an i7, 8gb RAM, and Fusion drive or the cheapest Mac Pro with after market SSD? This mac needs to be the fastest at Final Cut Pro X and able to usefully last us another 6 years. Please help I am forever perplexed with this!

Id go for the I7 with minimum 8 Gig ram and as much SSD as your money will buy.
It's not only about having a fast CPU but just as important is to get the data in and out as fast a possible.
Without a real fast drive your CPU will spend a lot of time just waiting for the data to get to it and then wait more time while it has to write back to the drive.
You can always add a slower drive for archiving and large amounts storage.
    Cheers!

  • Is an iPhone app the best choice for our project?

    Dear All,
We are developing a travel tour idea for different locations within the US.  Tour content can include video, audio, images and text, as well as maps and locations.  We want to make our tours "in-depth" so that people can spend good quality time traveling a short distance and exploring "in-depth" rather than travelling long distances and giving only casual interest to what they see.
I'm new to developing apps for the iPhone and am using Dreamweaver CS5.5 soon to be updated to CS6.
I'm wondering if an app for iPhone and other related media like Android is really the way to go because of the limited content and screen size available.  I can envision our tours being utilized in many other formats, including iPad, Interactive PDF, as travel e-books or through an interactive website.  Our goal is to sell our apps, not give our material away for free. PDF would be my preferred format, but I know that PDF is easily transferred for free among users and would probably not give us much profit.
Any thoughts out there on what the best format for our project might be, or should it include ALL of the above formats? App creation for the iPhone is a rather complicated process, so that's why I'm wondering if after all of the work that you have to put in to create an iPhone app, if that is ultimately my best choice.
I would appreciate any thoughts or advice, or any questions you might have.  I'm working on a Mac Pro with CS5.5 Master Collection soon to be updated to CS6

  • Is the 24 inch Apple Cinema Display the best choice for Final Cut Studio 2

I'm about to order a Mac Pro and Final Cut Studio 2 and have a question about monitor choices.
Is the 24 inch Apple Cinema Display the best choice are there non-Apple monitors that will do as good or better job with HD editing and output?

COMPUTER MONITORS bear very little on HD editing and output...especially output. They are just the monitors you use to look at your clips and your timeline. THey work for SD and HD. You really only use them to, well, as I said, see what you are doing. It would be nice to have GOOD ONES so the image looks decent. I use the Dell 24" monitors. The current one is the 2408. Nearly half the price of the Apple 23" displays...and really, the only Apple 23" that exists connects via their new connector, so you need a new MacPro or MacBook pro...or some adapter, to get it to work. And they are not worth the extra money, in my experience.
    Samsung monitors are also good.

  • Digital Video Interfaces??  Is AJA the best choice for the money??

I am using FCP HD, and have always worked with Mini DV. But we just purchased a Sony PVW-2600 Beta deck, and I believe that I'm needing to purchase some kind of interface.
Is AJA the only or best choice for me? Can you give me some suggestions?
    Thanks so much!
    Bryce

It's not the only choice, as Blackmagic/Decklink make good cards too, as do Aurora. But whether it's the best choice is another matter. There's lots of different decisions to make - HD compatibility? Effects acceleration? Monitoring outputs? Rack mountability?
    Others will respond.

    Platform
BlackBerry 10 (10.1 update still rolling out)
    BlackBerry 10.1
As you can see from the chart above, the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 are almost identical when it comes to specs. wever, I found the Q10 offered a better quality screen that also provided more impressive viewing angles. This is due to the Z10’s lesser quality LCD Disply that only pumps out a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, while the Q10’s S-AMOLED 720p screen flourishes above.
In the end, I came to the conclusion that the handset that appeals to the larger majority of smartphone customers is the Z10. This device represents what people are accustomed to in the year 2013, while the Q10 appeals to a shrinking customer base that prefers a physical keypad over a virtual one.

Q10 vs. Z10 is a highly personal choice. As you pointed out in the specs the basic internals are identical. It comes down to full touch screen vs. physical keyboard. For a traditionalist like me it's the Q10 FTW. But then I cut my teeth on BlackBerrys all the way back to the 7230 model. BlackBerry's outstanding physical keyboard is ingrained in my DNA by now. I've also used Android phones and an iPhone so I'm no stranger to the full touch screen, and I even got used to the on-screen keyboards with that form factor. But the Q10 for me has just enough of a screen that I don't miss the full size screen too much, and it's more than compensated for by the keyboard I love so much.
The best choice is to have them both! But if you must pick one, best to go to a store and try them both out for as long as the sales reps will tolerate you.

  • Is the new (2012) the best choice for home theater use?

I've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this update because my 2009 model just doesn't cut it any more. Unless I clean the ram (4GB) a couple of times after shutting down the usual ram hogs (Firefox, NZB Vortex, etc.), 1080p delivery is unacceptable, and I certainly can't multitask in the background while watching any HD movie (usually run NZBVortex, sabNZB and Sickbeard in Firefox, And, of course Plex media server and client are also running. Connection between TV and mini is DVI to HDMI.
So, with much-improved decoding and delivery to the player (I do most of my encoding on another machine) and multitasking being my goals (I'm sure the quad i7 and 4 times the ram in the new model will solve the latter), the lack of an independent video card (such as that in the previous model), concerns me. I know nothing about Intel's HD Graphics 4000 chip and how it performs versus an independent video card (again, such as that in the previous model).
I see my option as purchasing the previous model (with independent video card) when it hits the refurb bin and then juicing it up in the same fashion I would with the new model (SSD x2 Raid 0, max out ram, etc.
The only other issue that I know is a factor with my mini performance is my storage array, which I am heavily invested in and can't change until it's my turn in the lottery. Attached to my mini is a 4-bay drobo device, which is not the fastest device known to man as far as read/write goes. At the moment, though, I'm crippling it even more because I have to use a FW400 (mini side) to FW800 (Drobo side) cable. That would go away with either replacement, but I know for sure that array can deliver the read speed required for HD viewing (as long as I clean out the mini's ram first). My second array comprises an 8-bay Drobo device on Gb Ethernet -- which we know is more than capable of streaming HD content. I only mention this as a known factor in my goals with a caveat that (a) it can't change right now, and (b) I have sufficient evidence to believe that this factor can deliver the read speeds required.
I hope I've provided sufficient information to request some "seasoned" advise. Either way, I will purchase a new mini. I guess the ultimate question, given the above scenario, is should I be concerned with the lack of a dedicated graphics card in the new model?
Thanks very much for your consideration and contribution to this thread.
    The Doctor of Spin

Yes, you are melting down your 2009 mini.
Presently, you are performance challenged in every dimension due to hardware limitations and your multi-tasking workflow. Unless you are running a graphics application that requires greater than 512MB of VRAM, a 2012 mini with quad-core i7 and the HD4000 should be sufficient, including video streaming. The most shared VRAM that the HD4000 can use will be 512MB, whether there is 8GB or 16GB of ram in the mini.
I just streamed the October 23 Apple presentation to my 2011 mini with just the HD3000. Perfect stream -- no a/v artifacts or pauses.
Here is what I would do in your circumstance. Understand the Apple return policy terms and conditions. Get the 2012 mini in the configuration you plan, and without modifying the hardware or operating system, try it out. The quad-core i7 will give you 8 threads. Test the HD4000 against your normal workflow. Encode and decode video, and do some streaming. Connect the Drobo boxes (FW800/Enet). Based on what I read from your original post, it may be all that you need. If it doesn't meet your needs, then return it. It won't take long to make a decision, either way.
If you decide to go with a 2011 mini with the discrete 6630m graphics, here is a Verge review and 9.0 score.
An Ars Technica review of another 2011 mini w/ Core i5 with 6630m.
And a graphic performance chart reprinted by OSXDaily of work done by macminicolo, that covers entire Mac mini history through the 2011 with Core i7.
Jumping off that Core 2 Duo will be fun. Enjoy.
