I followed the steps to unlock the .icc file in the "getinfo" screen then went on clicking repair in colorsync utility.
This is the message i got:
Searching for profiles...
Checking 17 profiles...

   Tag 'cprt': Text tag has an incorrect length. Fixed.
Repair done - 1 profiles fixed.
However, when i hit verify again it shows up like this:

when i open the .icc file it shows up like this:

New to mac so I really don't know what to do.
I didn't get this message so far. What i did before getting this message was to open a jpeg file. I wanted to edit it so when i did right click on the file i went to open with, and colorsync came as an option; so i chose it.
Then this message started comming up.
Is there anything i can do?

What is the most reliable way to run one Windows accounting program in Osx 10.5.8?

I have a simple Windows application where I basically do my accounts. I do not want to tie up my Imacs resources with running a full Windows Os "emulation" like Paralells or VMware Fusion just to run a simple accounting program.
I have heard about apps that can run one windows application at the time through a kind of Osx Application which emulates windows some how. Is is true that this is a better way of running my accounting program? Is it reliable? What I do is to punch in invoices and print out reports basically. How much resources does this "consume" to run it in "one simple application mode" in comparison with for example Paralells?
And what is the term for running windows in "one simple application mode"?

I guess you could try the free trial of CrossOver. http://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover/ You did not say what app you want to run so it is difficult for us to recommend crossover as being able to run the app.
But your question is that you are looking for the "most reliable" way to run a Windows program. In my opinion you need Parallels or Fusion. These run the real Windows OS so my thinking is it is the "most reliable" method of running a Windows app on an Apple computer, other than Boot Camp.
But you said you don't want Parallels. This is probably why you have not received any responses. You eliminated the most reliable and easiest method, in my opinion, when you initially posted. Parallels does not consume any resources until you start it up to use your app. You can close it after you are done with your app. Of course hard drive space is required for storing the OS, your app, and data. But you still need to store your app and data regardless of method you choose.
One more thing, Parallels and Fusion create a virtual machine for running Windows.
So my recommendation, use Parallels or Fusion.

Place new objects right above the last active one?

I'm using Illustrator for years now, but I still haven't figured out how to create new objects right above the last selected one instead of the absolut top of the layer (or clipping path, when in draw-inside mode).
I want to click on an object anywhere in my layers, then draw a new path or dreate a shape right on top of it, like it works in photoshop with new layers.
I know you can cut-out the object and place it manually via ctrl-f, but thats really cumbersome and slow.
Does anyone have tipps how I can solve this problem or a has workaround?

Sorry Mike, but you must have missed the part in my post, where I already stated that I know about the ctrl+f functionality. It's not a good solution sadly :-(
My usual workflow consists of creating the main shapes of an illustration first and then add the smaller parts. Now I have to create an object, ctrl+x it, select the shape I want to add details and press ctrl+f.
Besides that, I find it very irritating, that theres an option "draw behind" but not "draw on top" which would be much more useful.
Do the other vectorprogramms handle the process the same?
Or does anyone know about a plugin or script that add the functionality?

That's probably because it's been sent out to a Bcc'd mailing list and that's the name on the main version. This is so that you don't see the other names.
If it doesn't come from something @apple.com then it's spam. Even if it appears to it's probably spam. If you want to change your password go directly to http://appleid.apple.com - do not follow any links in the email (even if they appear to lead to that address.)

Is there no way an ipod can be used to restore the lost music? Yes, some of it was from cds but were done a long time ago. Obviously it was acceptable for me to compile this music then, now they want to say since it all wasn't purchased, I can't have what was already mine? Need to Update Flashplayer but I have the most recent one.

Hi. I will start by saying that I am computer illiterate, so I will need careful and patient help. Here is my issue: Whenever I try to play a video, You Tube or otherwise, I am told I need to update flashplayer. When I go to update it, I am told that I need to close windows messenger. According to my settings, messenger is disabled. Whenever i get rid of the messenger box, I am told that installation is incomplete. Also, according to my settings, I have the most recent version of flashplayer installed, 10.1.102.64, the one for IE.
On a totally unrelated note, what is the difference between Spyware and anti virus protection? I have McAffee.
Will appreciate your help.

Which EQ setting + volume level is the most 'clear'?

Just got an iPod Classic this week (my first ever Apple Product other than iTunes). It's replacing a 30G player from another company from 2006 (ran out of room) that had really good sound. With a simple pair of JVC Marshmallow earbuds, the right mid-volume and the right EQ setting, I could hear all the musical instruments clearly and somewhat equally and the singer's voice was clear as well, as if we were in the same room.
I'd like to recreate this with my iPod Classic but I've noticed the EQ isn't customizable (unless I'm missing something) and that with some of the iPod's EQ settings I can hear instruments clearly but the vocals sound muffled, almost like they're dubbed from another source. But there's other settings (Vocal) where the singer comes in clear but the instruments are muffled in that dubbed way. I've tried Flat and Off but results with those vary.
My old player's EQ was set at a reverse of the iPod's Rock setting, lowest bars on the outside and highest in the middle. Is it possible to load an EQ setting like that from iTunes? If you can download a game, can you download an EQ setting?
AND is there a certain volume level where that 'same room' clarity shines through? Anything lower than 11 out of 20 on my old player and it would lose that clarity (anything higher than 13/20 was too loud). 12 was just right. If that makes any sense.
Or could it have something to do with how a song is ripped from a CD? Which is what my music collection started out as.
I'm hoping someone can help and shed some light on this for me. I got it engraved so I can't exactly return it. haha

Most audiophiles, switch off the iPod Classic EQ as it is crap, most probably designed by some team who like bubble-gum music. but if you must use, create a custom EQ presets

But try not to boost up greater than zero db, the new iPod audio chipset don't like it, your music will sound like something from some Oriental Opera, of course, unless you like the metallic tin highs.

Is it possible to label photos in pages docs without using a text box which is not directly 'fixed' to the photo

having imported photos from iPhoto I require to label them to make it clear as to what they represent in the text.

My two cents.
Insert the picture in the text box embedding the label.
This way you will be able to move both of them easily.
Here the text box is deliberately too large so that you see it.
