Which interface for documents for process manufacturing for chem industry?

Hi,
My partner is looking for a technical contact who could help him in finding the right integration to manage technical documentation for process manufacturing in the chemical industry.
Not sure if this is the right forum but any advice would be appreciated.

as there are several ways in SAP to manage documents I need som emore information to give you a reliable answer:
What is the process you want to support, what do you want to do with the documents?
Do these technical documents have a lifecycle?
What are the requirements to "manage technical documentation"?
What do you mean with "integration"? E.g.: Do you want to link a document to an SAP object?
Where are the documents today, file server?

Required report for the invoice processed twice for the same PO & Vendor

Hi SAP MM experts,
I want a report which is to identify the same invoice processed twice against the same vendor and same PO which system cannot detect only because the invoice numbers are manually entered slightly different, and that is why I also want to include the document date of the invoice so that the possibility of identifying the duplicated invoices is increased.
Any help will be highly appriciated.

You might also refer reports ME80RN,ME2N,ME2L for purchase order or refer report MIR5 for vendor.
Also refer report FBL1N - vendor open items,Check for document type - 'RE'

Hi Gaurav,
Creating Process chain for OHD.
1. Go to RSPC-> Create a astart variant.
2. Click on process typesin the menu. Fourth from the left. Under this go to LOAD PROCESSES AND POST PROCESSING option.
3. The fifth option is "DATA EXPORT INTO EXTERNAL SYSTEMS". Click on that.
4. Click on F4 and choose your infospoke name.
5. Press the RIGHT button.(if it asks for variant, create a new variant in the same small window besideswritting bar).
6. Join the START process and the 2nd process via dragging.
7. Now add your required other processes.
The general process chain processes are :
1. Start.
2. Delete Indexes (if data loaded to cube).
3. Load process.
4. Delete duplicate request (if it is a full load in cube).
5. Create Indexes.

Error in open_form for document in ME21n Transaction for pring preview

Hi,
While creating a PO using ME21N. Ifi click on Print Preview Button,the following error is coming "Error in OPEN_FORM for document *********** "This PO output type is "Fax".
This only happens for output type "Fax". For Output type "Print", preview works fine.
Same program is used for fax and print in configuration(NACE).
Please help me out in this.

It is possible to check the print preview of the document with FAX as output.
Please put a break-point in your progarm and check it.

Can anyone recommend an App for word processing for the new ipad? I was hoping to be able to use the dictation function to save some time. Cloudon, evernote...anything better?

Content server for Document attachment through "services for object" Icon.

I have typical problem in installation of Content server for storing external documents.
We all know that we can attach the document in SAP using the icon SERVICES FOR OBJECT. By this we can attach the document to the specific object we want.
-Since my client wants only document attachment method not to completely implement SAP DMS, I proposed this method of attaching documents through services for object method.
-If documents are stored though services for object ,The attached document will directly get stored in sap database(correct me if I am wrong) while in DMS it ask you to select the storage location while u check in for any document
-By storing the doc thru "services for object " For long run when we store the documents in sap database our system will drastically get slow down.
-In this regard I have a plan to incorporate external storage server.
-Now I should know that how I should customize content server configuration so that the attachment through services for object will store into this content server I need to know how to define Client, Content Category, Content Repository, Document Area, Physical Machine, IP Address, Port. (OACT & OAC0)
I appreciate for immediate solution and Points will be rewarded for sure.

Don't Worry, its possible,
All attachments can be stored in SAP Content Server also, but through archiving process.
Set up a database storage system.
Preparation
Make sure that the HTTP plugin is active.
Transaction SMICM, "Display Services" function key (shift F1)). The list of services must contain a port other than 0 for HTTP.If not, you must adjust the relevant profile parameter.
Typical entry:
icm/server_port_0 PROT=HTTP, PORT=1080, TIMEOUT=900
Make sure that the /sap/bc/contentserver service is active.
If no user is defined, then use transaction SU01 to create a new user. Use the "System" user type.Assign
the SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles to the user. (Eg: HRUSER/PLMUSER/PPUSER etc)
Transaction SICF, select: default_host - sap - bc -contentserver. Select the function to display/change the service. Make sure that a user is defined.
Using the relevant data from the newly created user, maintain the anonymous logon data for the
/default_host/sap/bc/ service and save & activate the changes in transaction SICF. Double click on content server and give the user name which has been created (HRUSER/PLMUSER/PPUSER/MMUSER etc)
Check the system PSE.
Start transaction STRUST. Expand the system PSE. The system PSE must be "green" for each application
server.
Determine a suitable exchange directory.
The exchange directory must be accessible from each application server. If all application servers are running on the same platform (for example, Windows), one network directory that is accessible on all application server (for example,
server\share) is sufficient. You can generally use the global directory
(profile parameter DIR_GLOBAL).You can use the RSPARAM report to determine the profile parameters.
Setting up the storage
Create a table for storing the data. Using transaction SE11, create a copy of the SDOKCONT1
table. If you want to create the repository database, you can name the table ZCONT_DB, for example. Save the
table as a local object. Activate the table.
Create a repository.
Use transaction OAC0 to create a new repository.
Use the following parameters:
Repository Max. two characters, for example, Z1
DocArea: ARCHLINK
Storage type: R/3 database
Storage subtype: normal
Version no. : 0046
Contents table <table name> for example: ZCONT_DB
Exchange directory <directory name> for example:
server\share\
Make sure that the exchange list ends with a \ (or /on Unix).If you are using a variety of platforms, you must use transaction FILE to define a suitable logical file name and use this name. Save the settings.
1. Maintain view table TOAAR_C, via SM31
 Cross client table displayed as information, forget it
2. In field 'StSytm' you must entered 'Z1' as your system need, or anything that you need but you must configure HR Archive link too.
3. In field 'Arch.path' (direct above Spoolpath), entered path in your system, this real path in your operating system. May be you should confirm to your Basis consultant where exactly you could store picture files. So if you enter '/', your file exists at root directory at your UNIX system.
4. Choose 'File store' radio button
5. Save.

1. You have to create a number range for SAP ArchiveLink.
 IMG: Basis Components-> Basis Services -> SAP ArchiveLink -> Basic Settings-> Maintain number ranges
 (Trxn OANR). Create number range 01 from 0000000001 to 9999999999 without the external number flag.
2. Document type HRICOLFOTO must exist with document class JPG.
 IMG: Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP ArchiveLink->System Settings->Maintain document types
 (Table TOAVE, Trxn OAC2).
3. Document type HRICOLFOTO must be linked to object type PREL and Infotype PA0002.
 IMG: Personnel Management->Personnel Administration->Tools->Optical archiving->Set up Optical Archiving
 in HR. (View V_T585O, no Trxn). In the first two columns there are minuses, the third (Date) has
 a plus - don't put a flag in the check box.
4. Check which content repository (Archive) is linked to document type HRICOLFOTO and object type
 PREL. IMG: Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP ArchiveLink->Basic Settings->Maintain Links (Table
 TOAOM_C, Trxn).
Test
Test the repository.
Use transaction SE38 to start the RSCMSTH0 report. Specify your repository (i.e. Z1) and start the test.
The report must run without errors. If no problems occurred, you can use the new repository with Archive Link after you carry out the Archive Link Customizing. If problems do occur, check whether one of the related
notes helps.

NOTE:- Screen Shots are missing, i was not able to paste here, One more thing is we did this for uploading a PHOTOS into Content Server, Similarly you have to create a REPOSITORY and Z-TABLE to bring all the Attachments from all the selected Objects and then route them to the CONTENT REPOSITORY.

What's needed for a PDF processing module for InDesign Server?

Hello,
After digging through lots of documentation and whitepapers, I am still puzzled about what would be an efficient way to implement a software module that handles some specific processing tasks of PDF output (automatically generated in InDesign Server and targeted for various types of print configurations from small-run LFP up to very high volume commercial printing).
We have a working standalone script that uses Acrobat's preflight and correction functions, and now we would like to port and integrate this into a server-based workflow. Apparently, there is no Acrobat Server product available. Distiller Server does exist, but seems to be limited to converting PostScript to PDF without the PDF-to-PDF processing features we need. Some of the functionality that is typically found in RIPs (e.g. converting colours to a preset output intent with highly configurable options [for pixel/vector elements, black and spot colour ink issues etc.] and flattening native transparency) could probably be implemented using the Adobe PDF Print Engine, but this seems a bit overkill and would probably require extensive programming from scratch. I suspect there should be a smarter way to use existing software – but which? I am not yet familiar with InDesign Server; does its SDK permit full access to the same parts/functions of the PDF library that Acrobat uses for its preflight and correction features?

Is there rotation lock for documents in Adobe Reader for iOS?

I'm using Adobe Reader 10.6 on iOS 6.1.3. My Side Switch is assigned for mute function and thus using it for rotation lock is too complicated.

If you are using the switch for a mute function, then double-click on the home button and swipe right. The button on the left locks the rotation.

Hello Hemant,
You can manage this with authorization or validation (T Code OB28 or GGB0), for validation:
1 - Create a validation at document header level.
2 - You can create a set (table BKPF and filed - user name) with T code u2013 GS01 wherein you can give list of users for which you want to restrict posting only with document type u201CJVu201D. Attached this set or a single user in u201CPrerequisiteu201D section of validation.
3 - In u201CChecku201D section of validation validate the document type u201CJVu201D syntax u201CBKPF-BLART <> JVu2019
4 - Create and attach error message for above validation.
5 - Attach this validation to your company code in OB28
Since i donu2019t have SAP log on credential therefore cannot give you exact validation code syntax.

Problem with document type on WF for parking document

Iu2019m actually working on the SAP workflow dealing with the FIPP object and the event u201Ccreatedu201D (FI park document transaction (FV60)).
The problem is that the WF is launched for all document types wich is not the need of the customer. Iu2019m looking for a solution to launch the WF for some specific document types.
Iu2019ve already tried to use the workflow variant, approval groups, paths and procedure with no success. (SPRO -> financial accouting-> accounts receivable and accounts payable -> business transaction -> incoming credit invoice memo -> make and check setting for document parking)

Here is the solution I have eventually found :
1- Application of the OSS note 559276 which enables the customizing of the workflow variant (the transaction OBWD becomes here effective)
2- Assignment of the documents types, workflow variants and release approval groups with the transaction OBWD.
Therefore, the document types that are not defined in the transaction OBWD will not require validation (no workflow will be launched).

is coming in that list but it shows the error saying that You are not authorized for activity 52 document type KPR...
when i try to do it under DRW it is allowing me to check in only for 2 documents when i try to attach 3 rd file it gives me an

Experience Using CE for publishing BPMN Processes for documentation?

Dear all,
has anybody some experience in using the Netweaver CE for publishing BPMN Processes only for documentation purpose? One part of our process pools contains only processes, that will not be used for process automation within CE Applications. We want to do do it this way, because theese processes describes our business on a higher level.
