Which IP address to block?

I have what is probably a dumb question, but here goes. This is a typical email header I get:

Now, the callmargaretrealty.com seems to be an open relay from someone else, I assume from the 86.29.206.237.
2 questions.
1) is the 86.29.206.237 the spammer?
2) if I put 86.29.206.237 in my postfix blacklist, will it stop it?

  • The recommended number of IP addresses to block, which can be added to one rule Windows Firewall

    Good afternoon.
Interested in the question, I need to create
a rule to deny access the server with the
specified IP address. List of large
    - about 50 thousand. So
how can I add an IP rule blocking
connections from IP addresses. If they
will be in Rule 10000 does not
affect whether it is the speed of the
server and of the whole will be
    any changes in your work?
The bottom line is that I have added
    10,000 IP rule. Through the
API Windows Firewall, I realized that the maximum number
of IP addresses that I can add is equal
10000 (10001 already swears "array bounds are invalid").
    Rule added - these IP-addresses
are blocked. The question is - Will the
fact that the rule as many IP
    addresses on the server rate.
Is it possible to set this rule remotely on
    multiple servers?

    Hi,
I can't find any document about this limitation.
But it is not recommended to add so many rules in Windows Firewall. It will be resource intensive.
Could you use the wildcard? It can reduce the number of the rules.
    Best Regards.

  • How do you specify which email address to use in a group list?

    Hi All,
I've got several group lists created in Address Book. When I want to send an email to a group using Mail I cannot specify which email address gets used for a person that has multiple addresses in Address Book.
My process is as follows: create a new blank message, address the note to myself, move to the bcc field, click the "Address" button at the top of the message pane. When I click on a name that has multiple email addresses I can click on the one that I want, but when I click to another name and click back the previously selected address is highlighted again. It seems that the selection of the address won't 'stick'. Is there any way to force the selection? Also, I originally thought that the group list defaulted to the home address, but I noticed that some entries have their work address selected by default.
    Thanks for any help.
    -Chris

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I knew there was an option to do that somewhere. For some reason I had it in my mind that you made those selections in Mail.

  • Contacts: Specify which email address to use in Contact Group?

I have a few mailing lists that I keep in Contacts. However, I have multiple email addresses for some of these contacts. When I send an email to the list, the wrong email address will be used for some of the contacts.  Is it possible to specify a default email address for a contact? Or a way to specify which email address of a contact should be used for each Contact group?
    Thanks!

    Yes.
So select the group in Contacts. Then choose Edit->Edit Distribution List... and you can pick which of the emails you want to use for the group in question.
It took me a while to find it, but I've done it before so I managed to turn it up

  • In a Smart Group in AddressBook 6.1, how do I designate which email addresses I want to use?

In a Smart Group in AddressBook 6.1, how do I designate which email address I want to use for contacts who have more than one address when I'm mailing to the whole group? The "Edit Distribution List" is grayed out.

Thanks, Barney, but that's not really my question. The "Edit Distribution List" is in the Edit menu on my version, too, but I can't use it to edit the email addresses of contacts who are in Smart Groups. In the version of AddressBook I was using before I bought a new MacBook Pro and upgraded to Mac OSX Lion, I could use the "Edit Distribution List" to pick which email address I wanted to use for contacts in Smart Groups with more than one address. Apparently that isn't an option in Lion. The Help menus for AddressBook 6.1 even say that "Edit Distribution Lists" doesn't work for Smart Groups.
Okay. I get that. But some of my contacts have more than one email address, so how do I choose which email address I want Mail to use for these contacts when I send an email to a Smart Group they're in?

Hi. Do you mean you want to see the blocks from SRM?
If so go to transaction BP in the GUI and look at the status tab for the central block.
For the purchasing you need to select role vendor and go to the purchasing data, if you are on SRM 4 or below.
Transaction BBPMAININT in the ITS/Portal is the best way.

If anyone has done this before and know or suggest me, it is very appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Suryanarayana Chintu,
You have to install an NTP server on a saperate box, or use the existining NTP servers in your lab if any and provide this ip address to proceed further as part of this installation.

  • Choosing from which email address an ical invitation comes from

I have several email addresses and would like to choose each time from which email address my ical invitation comes from. Now it always comes from my work email address and I definitely do not want that. I went into my card in the address book and saw that my work email address was the top email address so I deleted that and entered it in again, hoping it would then be at the bottom but no, as soon as I saved my contact card the work email address sneaked up to the top.
How can I choose (without fiddling with the contact card) from which email address my ical invitation comes from?
Hope there is someone out there with a solution

I'm at work so I am not on my Mac but if memory serves me correctly, the email is sent from your default email address which is set in Apple Mail's preferences. Currently, I have my default send address set to "whichever account is selected".
So, in Mail if my MobileMe email address is selected, the invite is sent from MobileMe. If Gmail is selected, Gmail sends the invite.
Give that a try and see if it works.

  • Controlling which email address is used for group members?

    Howdy Folks,
Is there a way to control which email address is used for contacts that you have put into a group in Address Book?
For example, say John Smith is a member of an Address Book group I have created. John's Address Book entry contains two email addresses for him, one for work and one for home.
When I send an email to the group I want to have it sent to John's work email address.
I have experimented by editing the entry and making sure the desired address is the first one listed for the individual in question, but that doesn't do the trick.
Thanks in advance for any tips!

  • Which IP address is collected by the CSPC collector?

    Hello,
This is a direct question from customer. He has multiple IP addresses configured on a device, and asked A) how the collector determines which IP address to collect, as well as B) through which port it is collected.
    TIA,
John (EPM for Korea and ASEAN)

    Hi,
All the IP addresses configured on the device would be listed. There is an interface summary also possible which lists all interfaces and ip addresses. In order to discover network devices and collect the data from the devices, you need to enter the credentials first. part of that is adding IP address ranges. This will help collect on a device. Th various ports used for SNMP query ( 161) and https  upload (443) are listed in the security whitepaper. Hope this helps
    Thanks
