Wow, just posting and it seems that there is a solution that is working for me...
What I've did is I turned off iTunes Match on my iPhone, then turned in on again. Now in my iTunes library on my mac I can get the duplicates to be matched or uploaded to iCloud with a right-click, add to iCloud. iTunes Match starts to check the songs and everything is done correctly. Pretty nice!

3rd generation iPad navigation problem in Middle East countries ?

My 3rd generation iPad navigation is not working ... Only the GPS is working but the directions is not working in Kuwait or in any Middle East countries ... How I can fix it ??

Sounds like you need to use recovery mode now in order to restore your iPad. You will need to use iTunes for this.
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad.

Maps in Gulf and Middle East countries

Gulf and Middle East countries Apple maps on new iOS6 are not impressive. I am iPhone user since first iPhone was launched. I wish apple will improve ME region maps. Google maps were also not up to mark, but current apple maps are even much less detailed comparing to google.

Which imac would work best for Graphic Design?

I am a Graphic Designer, currently using Creative Suite 2 (soon to be upgraded to CS3) and I need a new Mac for home. A Powermac takes up too much space, so I'm thinking about an imac with a 24" monitor and I have a few questions for the experts:)
Which imac would work best for graphics?
Is the monitor acurate for Pantone color matching?
Is the 24"monitor on the imac clear and bright?
Is Leopard a stable OS?
I also need an (inexpensive) color laser printer. Any suggestions?

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
The 24" iMac uses a superior LCD panel to the 20" model and so is certainly better suited to your purposes. I don't know how badly having a piece of glass in front of the display would affect you as a designer though.
The display certainly is clear and bright. I use it on it's lowest brightness setting.
Leopard is stable but it's worth checking that drivers for any devices that you currently rely on are available. For example I have to go back to my 10.4.11 iMac G4 to use my scanner. Personally I can't get iCal to alarm in Leopard but that's a fairly minor gripe.
As this is the forum for much older iMacs I'd suggest re-posting in the Intel iMac forum and even Mac OS 10.5 Printing forums for better informed opinion:

I don't see any DDR3L on the page for the RAM that would fit your model -> http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_133 3MHz_SDRAM.
But the answer is that it doesn't really matter - just make certain to get 1333MHz.

No. an unlocked iPhone will only work on GSM networks. The only GSM carriers in the US are AT&T and T-Mobile. Any of the small, regional carriers that use GSM are actually MVNO's that piggyback on the T-Mobile or AT&T networks. You will have issues with some features using those carriers, most notably MMS messaging and cellular data.
If you are going to want to use Verizon, then buy a Verizon phone.

You buy the unlocked, no contract phone found at all apple retail stores.
Be aware that warranty coverage is only good in the country of origin. If your phone needs service you'll need to bring it back to the US.

You want the AT&T model since that one use GSM and SIM chips. GSM will work in almost all places with the appropriate SIM from your carrier. The Verizon one uses CDMA which does not use a SIM chip and is little uses outside the USA.

Can I get a replacement for my iPhone 5s in Europe which I have bought in Middle East?

Hi there,
I bought my iPhone 5s two months ago, when I was in Iran for vacation. Now, it is dead and I can not turn it on!!! Some of my friends tell me that some of these iPhone 5s are factory defect and that is why Apple asked everyone who has bought iPhone 5s and have problem with it, to send it back and get a new one.
I called Apple Customer Service in Europe and told them the story, but I got the answer: You have to contact Apple or one of their agents in Iran for repair. My problem is that Apple has no office or agency in Iran, because the country is under the US sanction.
So my question is: Is there anyone in the community who knows with 100% certainty that Apple in Europe is bound/committed to exchange the defect one with a new one or at least repair it for me?
P.S. I have checked the Apple Support for my Service and Support Coverage by providing the serial number. It is active (Estimated Expiration Date: 15 January 2015) and my product is covered for eligible hardware repairs and service under Apple's Limited Warranty.
I appreciate if someone give me an qualified answer.

The issue here is Apple does not have any presence (Apple direct or AASP) in Iran.
The iPhone, if purchased in Iran, was grey market or used and will not be serviced under any Apple warranty in Iran.

if i'm not mistaken you press the left alt key , right next to the cmd key.
I don't know how to get into the bios and i do not believe you can select an os to boot by default other than windows and mac os x, after you install grub it should be defaulted by efibootmgr but if you tell mac os x you'd rather boot from it you'll have to re bless grub :

if all this crap is too much for you, you can always go for refind which is really easy to install and remove. just google refind and install it in mac os x, uninstalling it is as easy as deleting it from the /EFI folder on the mac os x partition if i'm not mistaken.

Which form would work best with a Filemaker database? PDF or HTML? and can we use a submit button to do this?

We are looking at developing work forms for a project that will use a submit button to send the data from the form to a Filemaker database. My question is can this be done with a PDF or do we need to convert it to a HTML form?

The architecture is not submit form - database, not exactly. It's submit form - web app - database. The crucial thing is the web app, perhaps one of CGI/PHP/ASP/others... FileMaker Pro seems a slightly unusual choice for a web back end, but there is a FileMaker Pro Server product. (Regular FileMaker is out of the question).
So, you can have a web app which takes HTML format submits and updates a database. What about PDF?
* PDF can submit the same format as HTML, so the same backend can work
* PDF can submit other formats, FDF or XFDF. The web script could handle these.
Frankly, if HTML is an option I'd go with HTML. There are many important compatibility issues with PDF forms, since so many browsers now do not use Adobe technology, and have their own. In these alternatives, form support goes from nonexistent to flaky, via badly broken.

Apple purchased, factory unlocked iPhone not registering in Middle East

Hi all
I purchased my 4s, factory unlocked, direct from a high street Apple store in the UK. I activated it via iTunes with an o2 scolling monthly sim.
I am now living in the UAE/Qatar and need to use local pay-as-you-go sims in each counrty. The phone can see them both but will not accept them. I tried a reset to no avail and then a full factory reset. This sent me back to 'out of the box' state but when connecting to my mac, iTunes tells me, I need the original sim to register. This alone confused me, because the phone wasnt purchased through O2 and I guess I was assuming, that as an apple purchased phone, it would accept all minisims. Anyway, the original sim is back in the UK, so thats no help and before I go to the local provider to see if they can overide something, I thought I would ask, if anyone here has any clever ideas.

There is no catch. Apple offers international warranty on some products i.e. iMac, MacBook Pro etc but excludes the iPhone. This question has been asked and answered numerous times on these forums and if you do a search you will find the advice is consistent in that there is no international warranty on the iPhone.

typing and reading arabic language cannot at all which very bad in arabic countries as not many people can read and write other languages so bb should have a quick sul otherway will not be famous in arab countries.

A proxy will help with video chat. Hopefully the arabic language support will be available soon.
