Which is better : iphone 5s or galaxy s4 ?

Plaease answer

It's all going to come down to how important the improvements from the iPhone 4 are to you.  I upgraded because I take a TON of photos with my iPhone and the new camera on the iPhone 4S is amazing.  I also upgraded because I was really intrigued by Siri, and so far it is impressive.  Time will tell how much I actually use it.  The speed improvements (both the OS and data speed on AT&T) is nice.  I am getting slightly better reception and performance from the improved antenna.  I know some people are having issues with the battery life, but I feel confident that the issue will get sorted out eventually.
If those things don't really matter to you much, then it's doubtful that the upgrade will be worthwhile to you.

  • Is the iPhone 5 better than the Samsung Galaxy S4/Lumia 1020?

Is the iPhone 5 better than the Samsung Galaxy S4/Lumia 1020?

Like almost everything in this world is a matter of choice, but, if it is to logically make a choice here are a few criteria you should consider before picking up a smartphone:
    Do you really need it? - if not, the money will stay better in your account;
Set up the budget and consider the fact that smartphones get upgrades faster than computers and laptops, will you be able to upgrade?
Which operating system are you familiar with?
What are your needs and expectations from the smartphone?
    What type of person you are (email/chat/SMS/Social Media-man aka. communications, multimedia, productivity, gamer, etc.) this will help you chose the appropriate hardware and check out what are your options regarding the existing applications for your needs;
    Are you always on the run or work in an office? - this will help you decide from the battery life point of view;
If you own a tablet you might just need a simple smartphone.
Samsung does not really innovate in terms of functionality and usability, they only copy what others do and make it their own way. Android is not a mature operating system, yet. I like some of its features, of course, but I can rely on it when it comes to productivity as I'm a person who sends 100's of emails per day and need to easily manage the messages.
You can have the best hardware in the world but that's useless if you operating system is bad at managing those resources, you will not be able to exploit the device to the fullest and you might cry over the money you've spent :-) Nevertheless Samsung has a large market share, makes good phones, but not quite smart, they are rather... intelligent, a smartphone is smart from the day you buy it, you don't have to put it in training mode :-)
As about Lumia, I don't have much to say, it's what iPhone had at the iPhone 4 version minus the 40MP camera and the operating system. If I want a good camera then I buy a camera, a Canon or Nikon :-) Yes, the Krait CPU, so what? That CPU is managed by a Wi*dows OS and that should say everything. I'm not against Micr*soft, they had/have their part in technology progress, but I'm more into stable operating systems, I'd chose Android over Wi*dows, yet Nokia were always great at hardware and batery life. Bad choice for Nokia, look at their sales and you will understand.
That's just my two cents, but iPhone is the choice of millions when they chose their first smartphone: is user friendly, solid, great hardware specs, lovely screen, wonderful support, high-level security, multimedia at its best, a design that catches the eye, looks and feels great in your hand, it's light, you have millions of verified apps in the store and a nice community to tell you all these :-)

  • In your guys' opinions, which is better? iPhone 5c or iPhone 5s?

In your guys' opinions, which is better? iPhone 5c or iPhone 5s?

Definitely iPhone 5s, as it has the new A7 chip while the iPhone 5c is the same as iPhone 5 with just a fancy case. Well apart from that there is no much big difference, however the iPhone 5c is much cheaper if your looking at it price wise. So depending on what you want.

Since you have a tab2, obviously you think it's better than an iPad 2. If the reviews say the iPad 2 is better, are you going to return the tab2?

  • Which is better an android or apple

Which is better getting an android smart phone or an Apple I Phone?

As the poster Horses 547 said its a matter of personal preference. However I own and use both. Printing via air print is smooth and easy on an iphone. Printing on a android phone is iffy and tedious and you will have to find an app to print since there is no native app to do so. I purchased http://www.printhand.com which costs around $12 from the app store. but it is in my opinion the best printing app out there for android. I use it on my android tablet as well and its great. This company is the maker of the print app on iphones.
The iphone is a little harder to put your own ringtone on the device. However very easy from the Itunes you put on your computer and hook into.
Another thing an iphone does is if you use their cloud service or pay for a song it is available on all your ios devices. Iphone, ipad, or ipod or up to five computers registered through itunes on those computers.
Google play music also can sync with all your android devices.
Iphone don't have external Micro SD card slots, so the storage on the phone is all you have.
Iphones use imessage which does not count against your text allotment  to another iphone or ipad user. it send regular text to non iphone users.
Another thing is Face Time but I found a better program called oovoo at http://www.oovoo.com or in the Google Play Store for free.
Iphones are paper thin but I have an android that has a larger view area and is also paper thin and light. Depending on the android phone it may have a removable battery, whereas iphones are sealed as are some new androids. I have found the sound for music better on my iphone, and videos are crystal clear. Again on some better androids the music and video is comparable .
There is really not many differences but it up to the user.
One last good thing is iphones are updated via Apple, no long waits for OS updates like is done with Android devices, and android devices on Verizon.

  • Which is better, Netgear N900 or Airport Extreme?

Which is better, Netgear N900 or Airport Extreme?

    Gpcn,
I'm going to highly recommend the new Airport Extreme. I've been having all sorts of wifi and networking issues because of the saturated 2.4 GHz spectrum in my surrounding neighborhood.
I finally bit the bullet on friday night and purchased the Airport Extreme. I could not be happier!
I used to top out at around 8 Mbit/s download and 1 Mbit/s upload with my older Linksys setup. Now i'm getting 40+ Mbit/s and 2 Mbit/s respectively.
Not only that, but i'm no longer dropping my wifi with my devices (latops, iPads, iPhone, etc). It's very consistent and the speeds are amazing!
Sure it may be pricier than others, but it's worth every penny. The setup is very easy and you get Three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for connecting computers or network devices as well as built-in NAT support for security. You are better off getting the Airport Extreme.

  • Email settings: POP vs. IMAP...Which is better?

I use my iPhone for work, like many of us do.  I came from a balckberry, so I am use to getting my emails instantly..... I will say that is about the only thing I miss.....
I can set up my work email as either a pop or imap.  Which is better?  Do they both fetch? I wish the iPhone offered push email (I'm sure I am not the only one).
    thoughts, comments, ideas, sloutions???/

The only reason push access is supported with every email account accessed with a Blackberry is because every email account is routed through RIM's dedicated email delivery service for the Blackberry which includes some features not available otherwise.
Different from a Blackberry, the iPhone's Mail app communicates direct with the incoming mail server for an email account - no different from accessing the account with an email client on your computer. The email account must support Push access with the iPhone's Mail app, and that is with an Exchange account, a MobileMe account, and with a Yahoo account created with the Yahoo account preset. A Gmail account can be accessed as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app.

  • Open GL Vs Quartz - Which is better for 2D game development?

    Hi,
I am new to iphone game development. I want to create 2D game. Simple game with objects moving around.
I never used Open GL as well as Quartz. For this game I am planing to study that.
I want to know which is better from OpenGL or Quartz?
And where I can learn more on that?
    Thanks,
    Ganesh Pisal

I would recommend against OpenGL for a 2D game. Quartz does a lot of work to avoid updating parts of the screen that haven't changed, something OpenGL doesn't do. The iPhone's implementation of OpenGL has other serious performance issues.

  • Which is better to sync, wifi or iCloud?

I heard that you shouldn't sync with itunes and icloud.  Which is better, and how do you set that up?

Where did you hear you shouldn't use these?
You're comparing apples and oranges. Wifi sync is a way to wirelessly sync with iTunes on your Mac or PC. This includes content that you've purchased, content that you've ripped from your own CD collection, as well as things like playlists, song ratings, etc. This is just to replace plugging in your USB cable as you've always had to do in the past.
iCloud is a way to store some of your content on Apple's servers and retrieve it on any iCloud enabled device. Note this includes only content you've purchased (music, movies, tv shows) or content you've created using iCloud-enabled apps like Pages, Numbers, or Keynote. iCloud doesn't let you sync "metadata" such as playlists, song ratings, etc. if you add a song to a playlist on your iPhone, it won't show up on that same playlist on your iPad, Mac, or PC because you use iCloud. It only gets moved on those other devices after you sync. iCloud also provides a means to keep calendars, contacts, notes, and reminders the same across multiple devices. Finally, iCloud let's you backup your device to the cloud instead of to your Mac or PC, which is handy feature as you don't have to worry about losing your backup should your Mac or PC fail.
You can choose to use iCloud and not wifi sync, or use wifi sync and not iCloud, or use both or use neither. They are independent of one another and provide different functions.
Personally, I use both. I wirelessly sync so my iDevices are up to date, and I take advantage of iCloud for my backups, calendar, contacts, etc.

  • Battery charging by usb port on PC and adapter which is better

Adapter is probably quicker as you have slightly better power than from a USB socket

  • Is it better for your battery if you let it run down all the way and then charge it? Or to charge it whenever you have the opportunity?  Which is better for the life of the battery?

I was wondering it the life of the battery would last longer if you let the battery run down all the way and then charge it? Or to charge it whenever you have the opportunity even if it doesn't have a low battery?  Which is better for the life of the battery and prolong the life of the battery?

I've had a iPhone 4s since March 2012, and it's battery is pretty useless now.  I was using the app Battery Doctor (Battery Saver, Battery Life) by Beijing Kingsoft Internet Security software, which encourages the user to charge more often, whenever battery life drops below 100% full and greater than 20% full, and gives ratings according to the number of full, partial & overcharges done, but I'm concerned that charging like that actually results in worse battery life??
I now have an new iPhone 5 and don't want the battery to only last as short as the last one did
    Any advice/comments please

  • Which is better, Kindle Plugin or Calibre?

  • Which has better sound - DVD or highest setting Quicktime?

Hi (I hope this question did not go through twice) -- I will be engaging in performances where I'll be streaming video and sound from my laptop... my quesiton is - which is better DVD or highest quality Quicktime? - for sound and vid... and by what degree? -- thanks.

I'll have to say for me it's a tie between my iPhone 3GS and 120 GB (6th gen) iPod Classic. The sound using the Apple in-ear headphones is awesome on those two models. I can't explain why, but that's my observation-there's a marked improvement with those two compared to Nano and older iPod Classic models.
