  • Does Anyone Make A Leather iPad mini Smart Cover (Not a Case)

I'm looking for a leather smart cover for the iPad mini (not a case that also covers the back). Does anyone make one?

I found a few options by doing a web search for "ipad mini leather smart cover". Whether any would suit you I can't say, but you can look into the available options.
    Regards.

  • Smart Cover and Gel case

Does anyone know if its possible to use a smart cover and a gel case on the back at the same time
    Thanks

Yes they do, it's a slim fit rubberized case called the Microshell. It is indeed touted as being compatible with Apple's Smartcover. I'm waiting for a few users to post reviews.
What's with what looks like a raised hump on the back of the case? Weird.

  • Smart Cover PLUS a case or skin?

    Hey gang-
Ordering my iPad 2 tomorrow (yay!) and definitely think I'll go for the Smart Cover. I love its utility as both a cover and a stand. But as I travel a lot, do you think I will need a skin or case to protect the back as well? Has anybody announced any cases that will cover the iPad 2 with an attached Smart Cover?
    Thanks!
    Dave

If you want a cover you can leave it while using it with the smart cover on, then you'll just have to wait and see. I would imagine someone will come up with something eventually.
    Barbara-
Actually yes, that would be very cool! Something on the order of a clear protective shell. Looking at the Griffin Reveal case on my iPhone 3gs right now and thinking that would be perfect. And yet leave the front of the iPad as well as the Smart Cover attach points unobstructed. Perfect!

  • Which is better- Decode,if-else or case statement

In view of the perfomance which is best, second best and third best and why?
    Thanks and regards

    and third best and why?
Thanks and regardsDECODE and CASE : SQL
    CASE, IF-THEN-ELSE : PL/SQL
You can't compare all 3. Plus, it depends on the context in which you want to compare them. If there was always one that was better than the others then we wouldn't have the others.

  • My iPad air does not have an lock on/off toggle for the smart cover ipad cases.

Last week I received my new at&t 64gb iPad air. (This is my 3rd iPad. 2nd that, I assume, can use a smart cover style ipad case.) Although I have not purchased a new cover for it yet. I could not help but notice that in the Settings/general there is no "Lock" on/off toggle for the magnetic cover as ther is on my iPad3. does  anyone know if there is supposed to be one on the ipad air or did apple do away with the toggle altogether?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Settings > General > Lock/Unlock shoud still appear.
You must be running iOS 7 (which you presumably are doing on an iPad Air).  And you should be using a Smart Cover or Smart Case made by Apple.  Third party covers/cases may well not function.

  • Which is better partition or index??

    Hi,
i have a table with approximately 2 billion records and there are 2.5 mil records inserted every day.
the table has a field called (Originatetime Date) which has an avg of 35-40 row per second.
most of the queries of this table use this field but normally not as an exact value but with a range
    ex:
    originatetime >= to_date('2010-01-01','yyyy-mm-dd')
and originatetime < to_date('2010-03-01','yyyy-mm-dd')my question is, which is better to use in this case a daily partition on originatetime or an index on originatetime
because the table is very big and i was thinking that a partition range scan would have better performance.
    oracle version : 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production

Since Maximum number of partitions allowed per table or index     = 1024K - 1 I would say partition

  • Which cover is better whether smart cover or smart case

which cover is better whether smart cover or smart case

It is really a choice to personal preference.
The Smart Cover provides some protection for the front of the device but no side/back protected. However, the Smart Cover is much more easier to use in my opinion and makes the device feel better.
The Smart Case provides all around protection for your iPad and is worth getting. It is not as tough as some of the crazy cases out their that like protect from 100ft drops lol.
So, just go to the Apple store and talk to a representative and he/she will help you out!

  • HT4101 Which is better Ipad smart cover or case

I am getting a new Ipad 3rd Gen 32GB and I wonder if it is a good thing to purchase either a smart cover or case?  Another question I have is it wise to get a wireless keyboard?

There is no one right answer -- it's like asking what kind of car you should buy.
The smart cover only convers the front.  The smart case has the front cover and adds covering for the back and sides.
Whether you should get a wireless keyboard depends on how much typing you do, as well as how easy or difficult it is for you to use the on-screen keyboard.

  • Any better cases than the "smart" cover?

I just got a new iPad 2. I really like the iPad 2, but really dislike the "smart" cover, and I'm sorry I got that.
It's definitely connected correctly, but has already fallen off half a dozen times on the very first day.
Neither the small tilt for typing nor the tall angle for viewing positions are particularly stable, and they are hard to set.
It doesn't handle well when open and using.
I just don't feel confident or "protected" using it.
I liked my old iPad 1 Apple black case. It was very functional. Anybody know of something similar for the iPad 2 with appropriate cutouts?
I can't believe this idea made it off the drawing boards.
Anyway, any suggestions for something similar to the iPad 1 Apple black case would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    doug

Try this, it's design is pretty similar to the original iPad case. (Which I quite like too)

    Same

  • Is there going to be a better cover than the smart cover for the ipad3 , the smart cover is crap!

My so called smart cover is useless, falls off doesn't stay supported up, all it does it put it to sleep. Is there a better cover coming for this?

Since Apple never released a "better" cover for the iPad2, I wouldn't count on it - but if Apple is planning releasing a new cover they haven't announced it, and nobody here can speculate (by terms of this forum) on what Apple might do.
That having been said, there are hundreds (thousands?) of covers available from other manufacturers, in a wide range of form and function, many of which work with the new iPad, and undoubtedly many more will be coming out soon now that the case manufacturers can tweak existing models to work with the 3rd generation. Do a search for "ipad covers" and see what you can find that meets your needs.

  • IPad (4th Gen) What is a good case that goes with the "iPad Smart Cover"?

    Hi,
I'm currently looking for a case that covers the aluminum back that also goes with the iPad Smart Cover. Thanks!

I've bought a ton of back covers. It's been hard trying to find the right one. I've settled on two really good ones though:
Caudabe Shell: This one's my daily driver, so to speak. I've got the frost version and it looks really good and has held up really well. Price is very reasonable too.
Switcheasy Cover Buddy: I like this one as well. Only thing is that they don't seem to have a frost version. They just have opaque colors, which I'm not a huge fan of. This is also a little bit more expensive than the Caudabe cover.

  • Is there a protective travel case for the iPad2 that will cover the smart cover as well?

Is there a protective travel case for the iPad2 that will cover the smart cover as well?

There are a variety of well-made sleeves from SF Bags which will accommodate the Smart Cover. I'm partial to the neoprene bags and sleeves from Bult NY and I use this "hoodie" netbook sleeve (in black) for extra protection when I'm traveling or in the field because it has a rigid shell to protect the back and sides:

For everyday, I slip my iPad, with the SmartCover on, into a small neoprene messenger bag, whose 6 pockets hold my iPad, a wireless keyboard (in a sleeve from SF Bags), Kindle, iPad, and cables /chargers:

  • Best case compatible with smart cover?

Best case for iPad 2 compatible with smart cover?

There are a lot of options, depending on your needs and aesthetics, and some users just use a skin on the back. Do you want a case or a cover?
I like using the iPad with just the Smart Cover, but I needed something for the back to make the iPad less slithery for teaching, so I just got this Cover Buddy back cover, which I love:
    http://www.switcheasy.com/products/CoverBuddy/
It is rubberized like the front cover, comes in compatible colors (mine is blue), weighs almost nothing, has well-designed dugouts for all the openings, and is easy to put on and remove. There is also a clear option.
For field work or traveling, I have a neoprene case from Built NY which has a rigid interlinear to protect the back and sides. My iPad, with or without Smart Cover or back cover, just slips into this case.
