Which is the faster method to charge an iPod?

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a uiversal dock for my iPod touch 4g. Now my question is, which is faster to charge; the USB port on my MacBook Pro, or an Apple USB Power Adapter?
Thanks a lot in advance

  • What's the proper way to charge my iPod?

    What's the proper way to charge my iPod? I am confused because some people say that the ipod fast charges for up to 80% in 2 Hours and full charges up to 100% for the next 2 Hours, 4 Hours total. Now, i sync my iPod on the PC and charges it up to 2 Hours and the indicator on my iPod and iTunes already displayes the "PLUG" icon on the battery. Here's the part where i'm confused, how am i supposed to charge my iPod up to 100%/4 Hours if it will already be full w/in 2 Hours? Is it normal? :/

    Lithium ion batteries don't require much special handling. Charge them when ever you want. You don't have to wait until they discharge completely. In fact, the one thing you really shouldn't do with a lithium ion battery is drain it completely and let it sit that way.
    Best of luck.

    What is the best way to charge an Ipod Touch 4th generation?

    Every night is fine. It is not desirable to let the iPod automatically shut off on low battery.

    Whatever you do in terms of charging will not destroy your iPod.
    Many people charge when it's convenient. Others just connect the iPod for syncing to the computer and leave it charging overnight, regardless of the ramaining charge level. Life of modern batteries is measured in full charge cycles. A charge cycle is either a full charge or any combination of small charges that adds up to 100% charge.
    The only real recommendations I've seen (including from Apple) is to keep the batteries away from heat and have a full charge once a month. For this, discharge the battery to about 20%, then fully charge.

  • Find out which is the calling method at runtime

    Hello.
    I have to write a very simple, custom logger. Don't tell me to use logging API, since I can not, unfortunately :-(
    In order to log informations I use a class calles FileLogger, which has some methods, like warn(String message), info(String message) which use a private method
    void write(String message, int logLevel){
    what I'd like to do is to make the method write(String message, int logLevel) log non only the message and the log level, but also the class and the method from which it was called.
    How can I do?
    Thanks

    There is a way to do it - if you only want it when an error occurs, it's fairly easy - and PIFFLE on performance - it only occurs when there's an error (which should be rare!) for pete's sake!
    Make it even better and have an if checking a public static final boolean in your error class and you get ZERO overhead if you have logging off - of course you have to change the kode.
    -G

    import java.util.*;

    throw new Exception("Exc");
    catch (Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace(new PrintWriter(bs, true));
    StringTokenizer st = new StringTokenizer(bs.toString(),"\r\n");
    st.nextToken();
    st.nextToken();
    st.nextToken();
    if (!st.hasMoreElements())
    return "None";
    String theString = st.nextToken();
    theString = theString.substring(theString.indexOf(' ')+1);
    return theString;
    public static void doSomething()
    System.out.println("Caller is "+caller());
    public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception

  • When is the best time to charge an iPod for optimal battery?

    What do you think?
    I hear if you let it go all the way down and then recharge it meaning full discharge then recharge, it's bad for the battery overall.
    Also I hear it's bad to charge it constantly as it would make the battery weaker as well?
    So when is the best time to charge it so that the battery stays at optimal performance for a good amount of time? Like 50%, 60% battery?
    Let me hear your opinions.

    It really doesn't matter that much when you charge a lithium ion battery. The only significant caveat is, as you've mentioned, don't drain them completely. Other than that, charge it when you need to. I generally put my on charge at night and take it off in the morning. I do the same thing with my cell phones which have the same type of battery. The iPod will stop charging when the battery is full.
    Best of luck.

  • HT201210 which is the latest firmware version for an ipod touch 2g

    I tried to update the software for my ipod touch 2g but i cannot it says that i can change the firmware version which is the latest version that i may use? because the safari application closes if i search on google but i restored to default software version but it doesnt fix the issue
    best regards

    If your iPod is at iOS 2.x as suggested by the sign off detail, that also suggests that you have a 1st generation Touch (which can be updated to iOS 3.1.3) and not a 2nd generation one. However, you have to purchase that upgrade (it doesn't cost much, check here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2052 ) and I suspect it may not cure any issue you are having with Safari.
    You can also confirm which generation your Touch is by entering the serial number into the "warranty check" page here; https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do

  • When are the best times to charge my iPod touch 5G?

         I want to know what times to charge my iPod touch 5G would be best for the battery.

    There are no best times. Charge it whenever you like.
    Charge it from 90% to 100%, charge it from 20% to 30%, charge it for 5 minutes, charge it for 2 days, doesn't matter.

  • Which is the best Method for Restoring a Backup in a Secured manner?

    Dear Legends,
    I got a requirement/scenario to restore a backup of Oracle 11gR2 database. Imagine that I'm not aware of the database files and how the backup was taken by someone else. Now I would like to restore it, let me know how and securely the backup can be restored without disturbing the existing environment.
    So for I have crossed the doc
    1. "Introduction to Backup and Recovery"
    2. Oracle Distilled
    3. "www.myoracleworld.net - Installing 11GR2 on redhat 5U5 64-Bit"
    Is there a valid restore document covering only RESTORE a Database using RMAN with oracle Docs?
    My Understanding:
    1. Using RMAN RESTORE command we can restore the database.
    2. A Valid/Consistent backup should be available to restore database in any format which RMAN Understands.
    3. Needed Backup files - SPFile, Control File and Data File
    Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
    Questions:
    1. What are the things I need to consider before restoring?
    2. What are the Questions/Info that I need to gather ?
    3. Need to Collect ASM Details if any?
    Thanks,
    Karthik

    Hi,frank
    thank you.I create my page as follows:
    1.drag a view "roleInfo" as "search form" from datacontrol,iteartor is "roleinfoiterator",
    2.drag the same view "roleinfo" as the result table and select "enable selection";in page definition add an iterator "roleinforesultiterator" and edit table to bind to "roleinforesultiterator"
    3.drag opertion "delete" below "roleinfo" as a commandbutton "delete",edit the "delete" button to bind to "roleinforesultiterator"
    4.add a command button "create" to create new record
    The problem is :after I create a new record by press "create" and create new within another form,then commit and return to my search form,if I select a record in result table by tableselectone radio button and press "delete" button,sometimes it works fine,but sometimes,the wrong record was deleted.

  • What is the best way to charge my iPod Touch 5G?

    So I got my iPod Touch 5th Generation on my birthday, December 29th. I know, and I've heard, that charging the battery fully from start to finish is good about once a month, as in you drain your battery then charge it to 100%. But what if I do that everysingle time I charge? I want my battery to charge the best way possible. Will it over charge it or something, if I always have the battery die, and then charge it completely? Please help! Thanks!

    Still doesn't matter.
    You can ask as many ways as you like, but it still doesn't matter.
    Charge it any way you like.  Just let it go through at least one full cycle each month.

  • What is the best way to charge the ipod

    Hey guys im sure there is 1000s of these posts but i couldnt find them, so which is the best way to charge my ipod video? using a wall adapter or usb, or it doesnt matter, i have been told with some players using usb kills the battry life.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    i have been told with some players using usb kills the battry life.
    It would do just as much damage (if any) if you were hooked up to a wall outlet.
    Both of them to me are the same. They both charge about the same time and last about the same.

  • How to check which is th best method to use in LSMw and the file

    Hi all,
    I am new to LSMW,
    Can know me when i get the file , how to check the which is the Best method ( Batch input, Direct input,BAPI, IDOC)  have to use in LSMW .
    How to check the input file is completely filled and how to check whether it is correct and also how to Prevalidation check has to be done fior the file before uploading.
    Can you provide any documents LSMW also Apprecited.
    Regards,
    Madhavi

    Hi Madhavi,
    To check Correctness & completeness of the file:
    1. The input file structure should be same as source structure what you defined whicle creating LSMW.
    2. Check the following steps to assure the field mapping is done correctly.
    a) Maintain field mapping & conversion rule
    b) Check 'Display Read data'
    c) Check ' Display Converted data''
    Please note LSMW is a tool, which will simply upload the data whatever you are providing. So you need to be careful while making your file and validate it outside SAP ( before upload start)

  • What is the best way to charge my iPhone 6

    Im new to Apple product. Can anyone tell me what's the proper way to charge my iPhone 6? Most of the people around me (friends) told me not to over charge and better to charge it when the battery drain below 10%. But I read from many website everyone was saying charge it overnight is better and don't let it drain below 30%.
    So I dont know which is the proper way to charge my phone.

    You can charge it overnight and use it too, it will not harm ur device. You will want to let it completely drain and power off from no battery about once a month at least though.
