Let me start off by stating that I'm no professional nor do I have the extensive knowledge to tell you exactly what wrong. What I know is from plain research I did when I was trying to decide wether to upgrade my macbook 6,1 (late 2009) model to 4GB or 8GB. Which by the way, what is your MacBook ID? 4,1 or 5,1 or 6,1
What I found is that Apple says that my Macbook 6,1 can only go up to 4GB of RAM but it can actually go up to 8GB. From the explanation they gave I understood that Apple, states what that particular machine can be upgraded to at the current time that model is manufactured.
I learned a lot mainly from different forums on the internet and the comments of people.

I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. Now that mobile me is gone, I have not been able to go between devices to transfer things. I was merely trying to take a document I had worked on and open it in pages, but it said my version was too old. When I updated, it wouldn't load. Now I cannot do anything. I hope that the reinstall fixes it without losing everything. Please advise!!! Yes, I am in panic mode.

I just bought a docking station for my iPad so I could plug into a mixing board and record a live show. I was disappointed at the time limitation for the recordings. What is the maximum amount you can record a song into GB for the iPad?

I purchased a docking station for my iPad so that I could record a live recording of my band directly from a mixing board this weekend using GarageBand. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the song length limitations of the iPad version of this program. Basically, was unable to capture more than 15 minutes of the gig. I've read other conversations on this forum and can't really determine the maximum amount of time this application can record. Can anyone tell me how long GarageBand for ipad can record at one single time and how to adjust the settings to achieve this? Also, is anyone aware of any other apps than could be used to record a longer please share. Thanks.

I received an email reply from George, the Founder and CEO of Studiomini, he indicated to me that their app does not have any time limitations in regards to recording like GB does, you are only limited by the amount of free space on your iPad. Fo what it's worth, I think the Alesis IO Dock is an amazing piece of equipment. I would highly recommend purchasing the IO Dock and plugging your mixing board into the dock to capture your rehearsal. Hopefully the feedback I received from Studiomini is accurate and I can capture my entire rehearsal at one time. I hope this feedback helps. One last note, apparently their will be a update soon to view Studiomni in the landscape view on the iPad instead of just the portrait view.

Im wondering what is the most GB of hard drive space I can have in my Mac Pro? The Apple representative on the phone said I could only do 8GB? Is this correct? I was thinking about maybe getting 3Tb internal hard drives, but that would exceed the limit apple representative said of a total of 8GB hard drive max?

Yes, what does "GB" refer to here? Is it hard drives or memory dimms?
If it's hard drives you can put any size SATA drive in your mac pro drive bays.
If it's memory dimms refer to OWC's charts for your model to see what you can add. So for a 5,1 (2010 Mac Pro) you could fill the slots with 8GB dimms.

What is the largest resolution you can have on the app.

I want to buy the app to edit some of my pictures and then upload them to google or flickr directly from my camera to my ipad using a lightning to sd connector. But my Images are 18mp and I see it says up to 12, although I wonder if anyone has tried a higher megapixel rate before without it crashing every 3 mins or something, and thus loosing all their hard work. If anyone has tried it and made it work somehow, please tell me how or why it won't work. (adobe: if you are in on the conversation, please allow higher megapixel images on the app.) Thanks to all in advance.

This Somewhat Helps, The main Issue is that under the description it says that the Largest megapixel acceptance is 12mp. My camera renders at 18 mp. This would be 5184x3456. What I intend to do is Take a couple of pictures with my camera (Canon T4i), Eject the Sd card(sandisk Extreme 32gb class 10), Use the SD to Lightning adapter(from apple), connect it to my ipad and transfer the images to the pictures app (the preinstalled apple one). Open the Photoshop app select an image and use one of the images from my camera in my ipad to be able to edit and upload. That is it, but if 4096x4096 is all that it accepts then My 5184x3456 image is too big and that would mean that the image will not be accepted by the app. If anything I will have to set my image quality to be lower or to shave off some of the pixels in my pictures, which I would have to use photoshop for, but going to my computer was exactly what i wanted to avoid. Thanks anyway. I guess I will still buy the app and try it out then and if it works I will let you guys know. I was also wondering if anyone had tried it before so I could have some Idea of what would happen, but I guess not so I will be the guinea Pig and try it and if the outcome is positive Get ready to see a whole new way of using your tablet. I will update the results and try to make a video about it if it works. The main test points will be If it accepts the image, and if it doesnt crash and make me lose my files while I was working on them if it crashes.Thanks Guys.

As someone who has travelled between regions a lot, I feel your pain.
Your only options with the UJ-845 are to get an external DVD drive, based on a drive mechanism that can be made region free, or remove the internal drive and replace it with a Pioneer K05 or K06. Pioneer drives can be made region free, and are compatible with MacOS X.
If you have one of the original G5 iMacs, without an iSight, the upgrade is very easy, and you should still keep any remaining warranty. Instructions are available at http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/imacg517inchOpticalDrive.pdf ( or http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/imacg520inchOpticalDrive.pdf )

I fixed it!!! Following advice from similar posts, I searched the hard drive for "sessionrestore.js" in my Firefox Profiles folder (you'll need to enable viewing of hidden files in Windows Explorer (Tools > Folder Options > View (then select Hidden files option) then Apply to all folders) to do this). I then shut down Firefox, deleted the file and restarted - my home page was correct and it didn't try to open my old session! Some other posts suggested deleting everything called "sessionrestore" in that folder, but I didn't need to.

I want to restrict the maximum time that a dynamic sql can execute in a plsql block.
If the execution is not completed, the execution should be terminated and a exception should be raised.
Please let me know, if there is any provision for the same in Oracle 10g.
I was reading about Oracle Resource Database Resource Manager, which talks about restricting the maximum time of execution for Oracle session for a user.
However I am not sure, if this can be used to control the execution of dynamic sql in a plsql block.
Please provide some pointers.

Every message has a time to live. if the processing of message does not occurs within the specified time, we have to rollback this processing and mark the message in error state.This is a problematic requirement.. If it does, then you need to look instead at a real-time operating system and server platform. Not Windows/Linux/Unix/etc. Not Oracle/SQL-Server/DB2/etc.
TTL is also not time based in other s/w layers and processing. Take for example the traceroute and ping commands for the Internet Protocol (IP) stack. These commands send an ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) packet.
This packet is constructed with a TTL value too. When TTL is exceeded, the packet expires and the sender receives a notification packet to that regard.
However, this TTL is not time based, but "+hop+" based. Each server's IP stack that receives an ICMP packet as it is routed through the network, subtracts 1 from the TTL and the forwards the packet (with the new TTL value). When a server's IP stack sees that TTL is zero, it does not forward the packet (with a -1 TTL), but instead responds back to the sender with an ICMP packet informing the sender that the packet's TTL has expired.
As you can see, this is a very sensible and practical implementation of TTL. Imagine now that this is time based.. and the complexities that will be involved for the IP stack s/w to deal with it in that format.
Making exact response/execution times part of the actual functional business requirements need to be carefully considered.. as this is very unusual and typically only found in solutions implemented in real-time systems.

What is the iPod software number as listed in the iTunes summary page?
How much free space, do you see on your iPod screen, when you go down main menu and select the settings?
And it should also display on your iTunes summary screen, when you connect the iPod, the free space available.
How much song to you want to sync to you iPod?, normally if it is "Auto Sync", iTunes will delete all the songs in iPod and reload with the library content.
If you have more than enough space in iPod and the sync stop at 10%, then it is another common unresolve problem, with Ipod Classic and iTunes interfacing.

She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts.

There is no need to charge it before you first use it. You cannot run the battery too low as the system will shut the device off before that happens to protect the battery.
Generally speaking, your Lithium battery will have the longest useable life if you avoid deep cycles. Since you can plug and unplug it as you wish, the best thing to do is just charge it up (however much) whenever it is convenient to do so (whether it is 10% discharged, or 20% or 50% - basically don't pay any attention to the battery level, just plug it in when it is convenient to do so to keep the battery topped up). And try to avoid frequent deep cycles where you run it all the way or very near to the point it auto-shuts off.
