    If you're able to contact the person who set the lock, send them this link and tell them to follow its instructions.
    If not, you can't use the device but may be able to get it refunded. Apple won't remove the lock for anyone other than the original owner(assuming they're alive.)

    Hi,
    This delivers possibly wrong data in MCOD installations.
    Depending on Oracle Version and Patchlevel dba_segments does not always have the correct data,
    at any time esp. for indexes right after being rebuild parallel (Even in DB02 because it is using USER_SEGMENTS).
    Takes a day to get the data back in line (never found out, who did the correction at night, could be RSCOLL00 ?).
    Use above statement with "OWNER = " in WHERE for MCOD or connect as schema owner and use USER_SEGMENTS.
    Use with
    segment_name LIKE '<TABLE_NAME>%'
    if you like to see the related indexes as well.
    For partitioned objects, a join from dba_tables / dba_indexes to dba_tab_partitions/dba_ind_partitions to dba_segments
    might be needed, esp. for hash partitioned tables, depending on how they have been created ( partition names SYS_xxxx).

  • How can we know the password for a oracle user

    Hi to All,
    Can any one help me plz how can we know the password for any user in oracle.
    Regards

    Assuming one wants to stay with database-stored passwords (the traditional method), one may want to look at the password aging and complexity enforcing mechanisms.
    Oracle has a complete manual around this. For 10gR2, the Oacle Database Security Guide chapter 4 is interesting reading - section 4.3 is the discussion for database authentication. And section 7.4.4 talks about the complexity enforcement.

  • Cannot change iCloud ID in iOS8 - Can't Sign Out without turning off Find My iPad - which needs the password for the old iCloud ID

    I have read the older responses to questions re how to change the iCloud account from an old ID/email address (OLD ID) - to a new ID/email address (CURRENT ID).  They all say go to Settings>iCloud - and Delete the iCloud account.  In iOS 8 - there is no Delete - but there is a Sign Out.  BUT - when I choose the Sign Out it shows a pop-up with the OLD iCloud ID - saying I must first sign IN to iCloud and enter a Password Required to turn off the Find My iPad feature.
    I have tried using the password I remember as being correct for the OLD iCloud ID.  Doesn't work.
    I have tried using the password for the CURRENT ID - even though the pop-up has the OLD ID displayed.  Doesn't work.
    I'm out of ideas - except Reset??
    Should I Reset All Settings?

    I finally found a work-around in another thread on this Using iPad community.  Basically, I had to first make sure that the Messages and Facetime were associated with the CURRENT/NEW ID.  (I could do this by simply erasing the OLD ID and typing in the new - in General>Messages and General>Facetime.  I then used by PC to change my Apple ID back to the OLD ID/EMAIL - but leave the new password alone.
    I then went back to Settings>iCloud - clicked on Sign Out.  When it asked me to log on -- with the OLD ID/EMAIL -- to turn off the Find My Phone - I did so using the Password that was originally used with the CURRENT/NEW ID.  This worked.  So I finally was able to close out of the iCloud account that used the OLD ID/EMAIL.
    I then went back on my PC to change my Apple ID back to the CURRENT/NEW ID/EMAIL.
    I then went back to the iPad Settings>iCloud - and signed on using the CURRENT/NEW ID/EMAIL.
    So everything is OK now.
    WHEW!!!
    Not sure why this has to be so difficult.  But thanks everyone for your suggestions.

  • Which is the Stable Version of Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition?

    Friends,
    We would like to upgrade our oracle 9iR2 to 10g in RHEL AS3.0 box.
    I would like to know the latest version of 10g.
    Also, please provide me.....
    1. Tutorial link for upgrading 9iR2 to 10g.
    2. Link for oracle 10g latest documentation for latest release.
    Please provide the documentation link for 10g latest release with RHEL AS 3 or 4.
    Also, please suggest me whether 10g with RHEL AS 3 or 10g with RHEL AS 4 is best.
    Thanks
    Sathyguy

    If you have a choice between Red Hat AS 3 or AS 4, choose AS 4. AS 4 uses the 2.6 kernel.
    There is no sense in using 10g R1, unless you have vendor supported app that will only support the app on 10g R1.
    You can find the 10g R2 docs at the following link:
    http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/homepage
    In the documentation link mentioned above you will find the Upgrade Guide and the Administrator's Reference for UNIX-Based Operating Systems.

  • Which is the default password for the linux user oracle?

    I installed xe on linux, which - I think - created automatically an operating system user called oracle (well, I'm nearly sure of this, maybe I created the user time ago and I forgot, my memory's never been good and is growing worse).
    I thougt this os user pass would be the same I set for db user system, but it is not. Which is the password?
    Anyway I suppose I can change the pass from root, but I am curious.
    All this comes to me because I'm going to install forms & reports services in the same machine, so I think I have to do it with this user.
    Ah! another question ... Is there any conflict between the apex server port and other ports needed for forms and reports services?

    You chose the password during the configure script.
    If not, su to the oracle user and do
    sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
    password system
    and it should prompt you for a new system password.

  • How to find the password of the scott

    How to find the password of the scott
    Any query please

    Hi,
    Its not possible to get the password back from the ORACLE as such.
    Because its not that it saves the passwords as such encrypted.
    Try to give same password for different users and check from DBA_USERS, most of the times you might get different encrypted passwords even though the base password is same - which shows the password is not encrypted as easy to decrypt...
    Only thing you can do is reset the password when someone forgets it as DBA - but not find the old password.

  • ADF inputText component not displaying the password value in desired format

    Hi All,
    I have an ADF <af:table component with a selectOneChoice as its partialTrigger. The problem is that when I navigate to the concerned page for the 1st time, the password textfield of the table displays the password in the desired format (dots), but when I change the value of the selectOneChoice component to another value and then reset it back to the original value with which the password should be displayed in dots format (as for the 1st time), the textfield is displayed as blank.
    Help appreciated.

    Thanks Frank,
    My system is a Windows XP Pro SP2 version 2002, I don't use JDeveloper, I am using Eclipse 3.2 and tomcat 5.5
    This is a step-by-step to reproduce the problem:
    I move from a .jspx screen by clicking a commandLink component which takes me to an edit screen with the following table component:
    <af:table id="methodProperties"
    emptyText="#{res['info.noitems']}"                                             value="#{mbAdminMethod.tableModel}"                                        binding="#{mbAdminMethod.adminList.table}"
    partialTriggers="methodType"
    var="row"
    banding="row"
    bandingInterval="1"
    width="100%">
    <af:column                                                  headerText="#{res['admin.methodPropertyName']}" width="40%" noWrap="true">
    <af:outputText value="#{row.name}"/>
    </af:column>
    <af:column                                                  headerText="#{res['admin.methodPropertyValue']}" width="60%" noWrap="true">
    <af:inputText id="propertyValue"
    value="#{row.value}"
    secret="#{row.password}"
    columns="40"/>
    </af:column>
    </af:table>
    The partialTrigger "methodType" is a selectOneChoice component.
    Once you navigate to this edit screen for the first time, the password is displayed in the right format (dots). While you are on this page and you select another value from the selectOneChoice, the page is refreshed. The problem is that, when you reset the value of the selectOneChoice component to the original value (which displayed the password in the right way), this time the password textField is displayed as blank.
    Thanks.

  • How to use the userid and password infor from Oracle DB in BO

    Out client has the userid and passwords(encrypted) infomration stored in oracle table.
    Is it possible to import this useid and password information into BO .And use the same userid and password from Oracle table for its login authentication and for data security...?
    In other words can the userid/pwd info from Oracle Profile Table imported and re-used in BO Enterprise Edition.

    If the users/pw are in an Oracle LDAP v3 compliant server then you can import them via LDAP plugin, else you would need to bring them in an enterprise users via script. The Import wizard can do this and the SDK (see the SDK forums for more info on how)
    Maintaining the passwords would be difficult unless you are using and industry standard directory like LDAP.

    Tim
