Which jar is oracle.xml.util.XMLException in?

I am trying to resolve a NoClassDefFoundError for the oracle.xml.util.XMLException class. I believe that this class might be used internally by the parser. Does anyone know which jar this class is in? thanks.

Thanks for the response. The problem was solved when I found that I was compiling with one of the 9.0.x beta jars and then attempting to run with the production 9.x version. This oracle.xml.util package was in the beta jar and not in the production version, giving the NoClassDefFoundError.

    Install the XDK 10g. Add <XDK>/lib/xsu12.jar to the CLASSPATH variable. Also add <XDK>/lib/xmlparserv2.jar and <XDK>/lib/xdb.jar to Classpath. For establishing a JDBC connection with Oracle database, JDBC drivers are required; add <Oracle10g>/jdbc/lib/ojdbc14.jar to Classpath. Also add <Oracle10g>/LIB/servlet.jar and <Oracle10g>/jdbc/lib/classes12dms.jar to CLASSPATH. <XDK> is the directory in which XDK 10g Production is installed. <Oracle10g> is the directory in which Oracle Database 10g is installed.

  • OracleApps Adapter VS Oracle XML Gateway

    Can any one tell me difference between Interconnect Oracle Apps adapter and Oracle XML Gateway. I am not familiar with Oracle XML gateway tool. I wonder if i could use XML Gateway comes with Interconnect Oracle Apps adapter instead of the product Oracle XML Gateway.

    Hi,
    I am also having one question relating to this thread.
    We are using Oracle Applications 11.5.10.
    We have a Business Requirement to send Approved Purchased Orders to Supplier in XML format.
    We have made all the required setup to generate the PO in XML format using XML Gateway, which places the XML message in a queue.
    Our design expert has suggested us to use Oracle Applications Interconnect for sending the message to the supplier through AQ adapter (From Oracle Apps to Interconnect) and HTTP adapter (from Interconnect to supplier).
    As per my knowledge (read in Oracle documentation) this can be done using Oracle Transport Agent (OTA), which comes with Oracle XML Gateway and also I believe that OTA is tightly integrated with Oracle XML gateway and we can easily track the status of the message.
    When contacted our design expert he told that there are some advantages of using Interconnect but I didn't understand his argument well, may be because I am very much new to using Oracle Interconnect.
    I will be grateful if somebody could tell me, how advantageous is using Interconnect over Oracle Transport Agent (OTA) (please note we are not doing any modifications to the message generated by XML gateway, we are transferring as it is).
    Thanks in Advance,

  • Need help, oracle xml db jar conflicts with sup app server v9

    I am trying to create a web service on sun app v9 that will work with calls to oracle xml db on oracle 10gr2. I have successfully created a web service on other application servers (weblogic and websphere) but sun was the app server of choice. The oracle jar xmlparserv2.jar is causing problems with the sun server as it seems to have bundled some java classes from the javax.xml.parsers, javax\xml\transform (and even from dom, sax and streams sub folders) packages.
    If I put the oracle jar in my war the error I get in the log file when accessing my webservice tester is:
    [#|2007-08-13T08:37:48.691-0400|INFO|sun-appserver-pe9.0|javax.enterprise.system.stream.out|_ThreadID=15;_ThreadName=httpWorkerThread-8080-0;|error: http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd<Line 31, Column 3>: XML-20100: (Fatal Error) Expected '>'.

    error: Expected '>'.
    line ? of http://ann-griffithlap.jsc-eses.com:8080/TestWS/TestWSService?WSDL#types?schema1|#]
    And the UI error from the tester call is:

    I had attempted to move the xmlparserv2.jar elsewhere in the classpath for classloading and one error I got while trying different spots was:
    [#|2007-07-16T14:16:57.982-0400|SEVERE|sun-appserver-pe9.0|javax.enterprise.system.tools.deployment|_ThreadID=10;_ThreadName=main;_RequestID=c9ffb261-2b6d-4dd2-bd8f-362e6b2af1a0;|INFO: JAXP SAXParser property not recognized: http://java.sun.com/xml/jaxp/properties/schemaLanguage|#]

    which gets repeated for each deployment and then the server would not start up.
    Is there any suggestions of where I can put the oracle jar to get sun to still start up as well as the jar to be available for use by the classes in my war that also contains the webservice that will call my underlying class? I have not found a way to eliminate the oracle jar if I want to do an xquery against oracle xml db.
    Thanks,

  • Getting rid of RowSetTag in Oracle XML SQL utility

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle XMLSQL utility to get the query results in XML. I know that there will be just one row retrieved from the
    query. I do not want any <RowSet> tag and i want to set the <Row> tag.
    So, I did:
    query.setMaxRows(1);
    query.setRowSetTag("")l
    query.setRowTag("Entity");
    and performed the query. The result is an <error> saying that since both rowset and row tags are set to null, i can only retrieve
    one row..
    If i remove the setRowSetTag("") line then i get the result :
    <RowSet>
    <Entity>
    </Entity>
    </RowSet>
    from which i want the <rowset> to be gone.
    Can someone tell me how to do it?
    Also,
    is there a way in which i can add a DTD statement on the top when i want to print the DOM tree of the query results as an XML
    document?? I do not want any validation against it though (the package that reads this XML needs that <!DOCTYPE> directive
    on top.. )
    regards,
    Gangadhar

    For your first question:
    To ensure the result XML to be well-formed, <ROWSET> tag need to be include no matter how many rows you will got. To remove the <ROWSET> Why not use:
    <xsl:value-of select="/ROWSET/ROW"/>

    Sounds like you have not included the xsu12.jar file in the server-side CLASSPATH.
    This depends also on the xmlparserv2.jar and on the Oracle JDBC driver. Later versions
    of XSU may also depend on the xdb.jar file, too.

    Hi. It's probably because you're calling some Oracle-specific method,passing it
    a pool JDBC object, and though the Oracle methos signature says it will
    take a generic java.sql.XXX object, it really is going to assume the thingis
    an Oracle class, and fails when it tries to cast it to such.
    Depending on how you're getting your pool connection, I may have aworkaround.

    I doubt that a user who hasn't posted in 3+ years is going to wake up and answer you.
    Probably best for you to post your details in a new thread (linking to here if you think it adds value)
    You can always use Tools->Manage Libraries in JDeveloper and type the class name into the search box; it will tell you which libraries have the class.
