Which Mini-PCI card for Satellite 1130-Z31?

Can anyone tell me which Mini-PCI card would be compatible with a Satellite 1130-Z31 notebook? The system should use IEEE 802.11b.
With thanks

Hello
For your unit there is Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card (2,4GHz, 802.11b) with PA3212U-1MPC part number compatible.
In the future if you need some information check http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com . Under Products > Options & Accessories you can find all you need.

  • Wireless mini PCI card for Satellite P10

    Hi all,
can anyone help me find a wireless mini pci card for my Satellite P10-304 in the UK?

    Hi
I found several WLAn minPCI Wlan cards which could be compatible with the Satellite P10 notebook.
Wireless LAN card PA3212U-4MPC (Agere 802.11b)
    PA3273U-2MPC (Atheros 802.11ab)
    PA3300U-1MPC (Atheros 802.11g)
    PA3298U-1MPC (Atheros 802.11a/g)
Please take a look on the WLan 802.11 standards!
If you WLan router support an 802.11 standard I would recommend taking the PA3273U-2MPC or PA3212U-4MPC

  • Re: Dual Band PCI Card for Satellite C660

Hello, please can someone suggest any dual band PCI card for Satellite C660
    thanks

    >Dose it mean this forum if not supported by Toshiba?
Buddy, its a user to user community
    Regarding the miniPCI WLan card:
Such part upgrade is not officially supported and therefore details about compatible cards are not available.
But from my knowledge many different notebook series have been equipped with different WLan card from Realtek, Intel and Atheros.
Probably such cards would be compatible even if they are not listed officially as supported part.

You'll need to re-establish the connection to your wireless network.

  • Mini PCIe card for LTE?

Does anyone know if this is available thru any seller? My laptop is set up with a SIM card slot. Would be nice to have that option. I know VZW doesn't sell them directly, it took 3 online chats to get that answer, the 1st 2 people were clueless.

Use the Sonnet tech cards, they have a 10.6 compatibility matrix in the support section of their site. Yes, I paid more for the card when I got it, but I haven't had any headaches with it at all. I guess you get what you pay for.
This is good advice for both PCIe and Expresscard. I have discussed this with Sonnet and I think they regret the cheap/expensive strategy owing to the lack of support on SI drivers. They did lower the price on the Expresscard/34 Pro by 1/3 , or $100.
I still have their E2P (PCIe Si 2 port based card) and an Expresscard/34 (non-Pro) available cheap for anyone who thinks Si drivers are a good value.
The new 64 bit driver will be nice for the handful that run in a true 64 bit boot situation which won't be many and is not really necessary at all anyway. OF course if you have one 32 bit driver you need then that won't be a viable option.

  • Satellite 5200-903: Mini PCI Card doesn`t work

    Hello,
I am a user of an:
    Satellite 5200-903: P4-M 2.2/256+256 DDR/60GB/15T SXGA+/DVD-R-RW/nV FX 5600/cPad/WIFI ready/XP
My computer is equipped with an Toshiba Wirless lan Mini PCI Card.
I installed the card a few years ago - everything worked wonderfull.
At the beginning of 2006 I installed a new operating system (XP Pro + SP1, same system as before) because it was necessary.
I installed all driver for the W-Lan Card, obviously the card worked in the correct way (no driver incompatibility or other problems).
But, and thats the reason of this topic here. It isn`t possible to connect my card to any Hot Spot. I tried it with 2 different access points, but the result is the same. "No connection Point found".
Has anyone any idea what to do or in which direction I could look for the failure? Is there maybe any special Software necessary (I couldn`t remember, that in my last installation I had needed special driver or software)
If further informations are necessary, please inform myself.
(sorry for the terrible english, but it isnt my first language.)
    THX for your help

    Hi,
thx for the hints. But unfortunately none of these solved my problem.
    1. I checked my device Manager, it`s shown a Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini Pci Card
    2. The device is activated, with no problems
    3. My wireless activation switch on the left notebook side is activated (led lights yellow)
    4. Pushing the Fn+F8 Button results nothing
(wenn i press the combination during the Notebook switch is off - i got the message "wireless connection is deactivated, please activate")
What have to happen, when pushing the Fn+F8 Button during the wireless switch is activated? Is there any message on the screen?
Concerning the installed driver, how could I check what type of card is installed in my notebook. I know, that there a two types of driver and card existing, toshiba and atheros.
But, if the installed driver causes no problems I guess the right driver is installed.
    Thx for any further Idea...
    C.

  • Satellite 1130-Z31: Cannot get 1600x900 on second monitor

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1130-Z31 (old one, but still works well).
Now i have attached a second monitor with a native resolution of 1600x900 pixels.
I have set the resolution of the second monitor to 1600x900, this is accepted.
However, the image on the second monitor looks ugly, and the external monitors OSD says it gets 1440x900 pixel signals from the laptop.
It seems that the Toshiba sends an image with a lower resolution than set.
I have installed the latest graphics driver - no change.
Or could this be a problem with a poor quality VGA cable or so?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Turtle

    Hi
Unfortunately I was not able to find info which resolutions are supported for external displays but if you cannot get 1600x900 pixels that mean that this resolution is not supported by graphic card.
Which video port do you use? VGA 15 pin port maybe?

  • Satellite 1130-Z31: Keyboard constantly prints "1"

I own a Satellite 1130-Z31 and have the problem that the "1" key is stuck. For example it constantly prints "1111111111..." ad infinity.
This is the result of a fluid spill which happened about 9 months ago. Up until yesterday the keyboard didn't have this problem though.
I'd like to either clean or exchange the keyboard (or its conductive foils) but need instructions on how to do it. Suppliers of replacement keyboards seem to be mainly in the US, hence I'd be happy if Toshiba has a spare part distributor in Sydney as well.
    Thank you for your help!
    Cheers,
    Jens

    Hi R2D2 and Andrej,
thanks for your help. By looking at guides of other Toshiba notebooks describing how to disassemble the keyboard I could figure out how to remove mine, that part's solved. All I need now is a (used, good idea!) keyboard.
Does anyone know where I can look up the correct part number? I contacted a US-based ASP but they were "unable to confirm a compatible parts listing for [my] machine". If they can't, who can? The full notebook number is PS113E-1Y13S-GR/S1130-Z31 (German model, but I don't mind a US keyboard since I'm in Australia).
    Cheers,
    Jens

  • Mini PCI Card causes Mac Pro to think the CPUs are overheating

I bought a Mini PCi Card that I am using in an 8x 2.28 machine and when I put it in the system thinks the CPUs are overheating (red lights near RAM risers). When I pull it out there is no problem.  Any way to force MacPro to bypass POST?  Any other ideas?

This is called driving in the dark, blind.
What card is it you are trying to use, and what is the make, etc of it? and there are a couple makes of adpaters.
There are PCI cards that were keyed for 3.3v and 5v and some for both.
Anyone that dealt with SCSI controllers, with how even the drivers and firmware of the drive and card and OS had to be matched and certified to be compatible.
Buit all of this is just meaningless chatter.
I think you are calling a PCIe 1x slot as mini.
And why would you want to?
Again, plug in the make/model and other specs and facts, then hit Bing (or Google, but I come to prefer Bing).

Anyone know of a card 3g mini pci card compatible with UMTS/HSDPA worldwide? The card supplied on Lenovo's site is AT&T branded. The U450P comes with a slot for such a card (or an ssd drive) . Will appreciate any pointers however new the series may be. Thanks!

  • Replace WLAN Mini PCI Card in U350

I got a brand new U350 end of last week, and beside the fan noise I'm really happy with the device (like many others I do hope Lenovo will provide an updated BIOS that will change the fan behavior to make it more quiet).
However, I'd like to replace the Broadcam b/g WLAN Mini PCI Card with a b/g/n card. I was thinking of getting an Intel 5100AN card and was wondering if such a card would work, or if there is a lock in the BIOS that will prevent it from working (I read somewhere that even if Lenovo uses such cards, the ones you can purchase in stores would not work).
    Thanks,
    Mike

Thank you for your answer. I appreciate.
Since my question, I've found a solution for my wifi card to work. It was given by "electrochain". It just consisted by manually disabling a specific pin on my card. And now, it works.
    Thank you again.

    HI,
Feliks is right. You can also buy a USB LAN Card. In my opinion they are still cheaper!

  • SP A10 with mini PCI card

    Help!
Have had a great deal of success with Toshiba however would like to use it in wireless mode. Have LAN mini PCI card switch yet can not find drivers on computer to enable it.
    Any suggestions
    Many thanks
    Steve

    Hi Steve
I'd say that it is likely that You do not have a built in WireLess mini PCI card then. Normally all devices are configured 100% when the machine comes from factory.
And even if the driver is missing You should have a device that was not configured in the device manager and You do not say anything about such a device so I guess there is none.
It is quite common that models are prepared for wireless LAN (like your possibly is) with a WiFi-switch and built in antennas.
    best regards
