Which movement type to use?

Hi Experts,
For a particular material, there are 10 items in blocked status in SAP while the goods have already been removed in WMS around 5months back. Now I want to delete the 10 quantity in SAP to get the data in sync. Which movement type should be used here?
Regards,
AK

Now I want to delete the 10 quantity in SAP to get the data in sync.
You don't "delete" stock in SAP. To know what movement you need to use, you need to know the business context that made the 10 units "disappear", for example: internal consumption to cost center (201), scrapping (551), inventory (701/702), goods issue for customer (601), etc.
Without knowing what happened to the 10 units you can't know which movement to use. In order to determine the context, you need to do what Jurgen suggested, find the communication that failed.

  • Movement type to use

    Hello Friends,
Please suggest which movement type to use for. We have a material at our Vendor location and this material has to be moved to another vendor location. How do we accomplish this???
    Sanjay

    hi Sanjay,
There is a reason behind this:
You can't do it directly...Because the goods is not in your premises and also doesn't belongs to you..so how can you transfer from vendor to vendor...
So, for this you have to make GR for the material first in the your industry...then you can transfer it to other places or to the other vendor....for this make vendor as a customer or a plant...and make stock transfer from plant to plant....
    Hope it helps..

  • Choose which content type to use in sharepoint 2013 list using InfoPath 2013

So, in my head it seems pretty simple and a feature that might be standard to InfoPath so much in fact I can't find anything on it... My goal is to a have one list where you can do a drop down or buttons to choose which content type to use.
I will be royally disappointed if this is not possible. =(
So, c'mon you giants of MS Support. Give me a happy answer.

    Hi Lincoln,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use multiple content types in a list.
For achieving it, you can do as the followings:
    Open the list.
    Go to List Settings->Advanced Settings.
Under ‘Allow management of content type’, select ‘Yes’, click OK.
In the Content Types section, click ‘Add from existing site content types’
Then add the content types that you want to add, click OK
Go back to the list, click ITEMS->New Item, then all content types are displayed in the drop-down list
When you click an item, you can select the new item is created based on one of these content types
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Which movement type use for return stock form one plant to other plant  in

HI friends i am working on STO PROCESS
i need to transfer return stock from one plant to other plant as a return stock i am using Mvt type 455
    but system shows  following error
Update control of movement type is incorrect (entry 455 X X _ L)
    Message no. M7226
    Diagnosis
The system could not find entry 455 X X _ L in any of the movement type control tables.
    Procedure
    Cancel current processing.
    Contact your system administrator.
Action to be taken by the system administrator
Check in Customizing for Inventory Management under Copy, Change Movement Types whether the entry is contained in the Update control view for the movement type.
If the entry is missing, proceed as follows:
For standard movement types, this means that the given process is not supported using the present data combination. Do not create any entries without prior arrangement with your SAP consultant. Otherwise, incorrect postings may result.
For customer-defined movement types (beginning with 9, X, Y, or Z), this may mean that they have not been fully defined. Delete the movement type and re-create it by copying a standard movement type.
    thanks in advance

    Hello,
I think there is a standard STO movement type you can use. But I can't remember. Why don't you try to find it and test if it fit your requirement?
There are some information for your reference. Please check on website:
    http://www.sap-img.com/materials/difference-for-stock-transfer-and-transfer-posting.htm
    Using STO without delivery:
      doc.type: UB
      GI:351, GR:101
      STO with delivery:
      GI:641, GR:101
      delivery type:NL
      STO with delivery and billing:
      GI:643, GR:101
      delivery type:NLCC , billing type:IV
And if you want to use the way to return the goods replenishment, try to flag the return checkbox while you create purchase order item. Of course, corresponding configuration is required.

  • Which movement type to show Directly Procured material in stock?

    Hi All
Is there another movement type that I can use to reverse from a network, Directly Procured material in to stock?
Our issue is that we plan and have delivered directly procured material to out production plant (Plant A) and the PO has an account assignment of 'N'. The production team then decide (due to unforseen issues) that they do not need it anymore for that network/WBS and want to send it to our central warehouse (Plant B)
In order to recover the cost from the network, we process MB1A mvt 222 with reference to the WBS in Plant A and then stock transfer to our central warehouse, Plant B
My question is....can we use another movement type to remove the cost from the project/network/WBS and return the material in to stock?
I don't want to reverse the PO but can i use that as a reference?
    Your help is appreciated
    Regards
    Darren

MB1A transaction is a goods issue
goods issues are valuated with the material master valuation price.
in goods issues you cannot reference purchase orders (this is only possible in receipts)
there is no goods receipt transaction for material which was already received against a PO.
You credit the network with the leading price from material master, there is no value flow in the opposite direction. But you can control the valuation if you allow external value entry in the movement, which is usually not liked by auditors, especially as such movements are executed by warehouse personnel

  • Configuration: Which Movement Types Involve Excise Invoices

    Hi,
Please suggest what movement types are required to be entered in this IMG activity and against which register?
Is this settings required for only capturing incoming excise invoices from outside vendors and STO’s?
    regards

    dear mr verma
mvt type 101, 103, 105, represents inward movements of materials and you have to maintain them as they are relevant for excise.
601 & 122 represents outward movements of materials from factory and you have to maintain them as they are relevant for excise.
You have to enter these movement types too. If you don't enter now, you will have to enter it later when some problem arises.

  • Need Help regarding which Material Type to use for the Scenario

    Hi,
Here we are configuring the service scenario.
Suppose Electric Switch of customer flat is not working.
Here in this case I will purchase the switch. And along with service order
I will do the delivery of the Material. Then will raise the Invoice to the customer
with service charge as well as material cost.
Here I will have to run the MRP also for that material  to raise the PR if stock goes below
    the reorder point.
So I will have to maintain the Purchase view, Sales View & MRP view to that Material.
So in this case which standard material Type can I use for this material? Or I have to create
our own material Type for this material.
    Regards,
    Pradip

ROH is usually a material type that is supposed to be consumed in production.
HALB is a semifinished good, own produced and meant to consumed in production.
Both are usually not forseen to be sold.
A material that you buy yourself and sell to a customer is a trading good, which is HAWA in SAP.

  • Which backup type to use?

    Good day
I need to schedule daily online backups of my SAP Oracle 10 system.  The default backup_type for online backups is "online" in DB13.
However, it appears this type of backup is useless in a disaster situation, where I have lost an entire system.  I have not been able to get brtools to recognise this backup as a valid backup to restore a system from.
Apparently, the backup_type should be "online_cons" to get a consistent backup from which I can restore.  The question then is, what is the function of backup_type online - i.e. under what circumstances can I use this? and, should I rather change table SDBAC so that all my backup_type for online backups is online_cons?
I need to not only ensure that my data is backed up, but also that I can restore it properly.
    Thanks
    Wilhelm

    Hi Wilhelm,
    >> Can you point me to a guide how to use brtools to perform a recovery onto a new server if I use method online + redo log backups. (PS. I am performing hourly archive log backups as well).
    Check the link, below;

    >> I an DR situation I would have lost my primary server, so I have no control files etc.etc. I need to get that back using brtools. The only way I could find that brtools can restore the control file is performing a database reset - and that I can only do if I have a backup of type online_cons.
    You can check the link, below;

    Control files
    Online redo log files
    Offline redo log files
    Oracle profiles init<DBSID>.ora and init<DBSID>.dba
    BRBACKUP/BRARCHIVE profile init<DBSID>.sap
Main SAPDBA log reorg<DBSID>.log and the structure log struct<DBSID>.log (if it exists, also the script create_raw_links)
    Summary BRBACKUP/BRARCHIVE log
    Detailed BRBACKUP/BRARCHIVE log
Creating control file is the easiest part of it.
    >> Do I run in any risk if all my backups are of type online_cons? Can I still do point in time recovery? If so what is the point of the "online" backup type?
with the "online_cons" you just save the offline redolog files created during the online backup for the consistent backup. You need to start "Redolog backup" for the newly created offline redofiles, after the backup.

  • Which service type to use for Proxy Service

I have a question regarding a Proxy service.
I have a need for a local (transport local) Proxy service which is called by another proxy service.
It is a synchronous service which has an XML incoming message and an XML outgoing message.
    I have the following questions:
    - Does it make a difference in performance when I choose a WSDL webservice or a Messaging service?
    - Which one would you choose and why?
    Thanx

Does it make a difference in performance when I choose a WSDL webservice or a Messaging service?Hardly there would be any difference.
Which one would you choose and why?I would choose XML type messaging type proxy because input and output are XML messages. I won't choose WSDL web-service because it should be used in case of SOAP packagaing only (in web-service context, to enable SOAP and WS support) to mock a web-service which has a WSDL (and a XSD) associated with it.

  • Which file type to use for editing

I recently filmed a school talent show to create DVDs for the parents. I'll be using PrE 9 to edit. I understand the output for the movie will need to be MPEG2 for the DVD. We used three different cameras (I know this is a bad thing to do with PrE), but we used what we have available. Though, we did use a GoPro Hero2 mounted on the piano to give a unique perspective. Consequently I need to convert the video files into a common format for editing. Is there a "best" file format to edit in or is there a file format that is easiest to work with in Premiere Elements while maintaining the best quality for the DVD output?
    Here is what we used:
Camera 1 (with the audio track from the sound board) was a Canon Vixia HF300. It exported in the dreaded .mts format (half the show at 24mbps and half at 17mbps)
Camera 2 was a Nikon 5100 as .mov files, 1920x1080, H.264, Linear PCM, Total bit rate 19k
    Camera 3 was a GoPro Hero 2 recorded .mp4 1280x780 H.264 Total bit Rate 15k
Since the aspect ratios are not equivalent, I plan on using black bars as opposed to cropping.
I'm editting on an Apple MacBookPro 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 8gb RAM running OSX 10.7
Also, should I use Quicktime to convert these files into the common format I choose? Ironically, all this footage is editable in iMovie, but iMovie is horrible for multi-camera.
    Thanks,
    Ed

Over on the Windows side of the aisle where I am, I would say convert all to DV AVI since the end will be a DVD, not a BluRay
For Mac, I guess the SD version of DV AVI in the MOV wrapper
I have some saved discussions & links, but have NO idea if any of these places have Mac versions
Tools to Convert to DV-AVI http://forums.adobe.com/thread/415317
    Convert http://premierepro.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:How_do_I_convert_my_files%3F
Convert your HD files to DV-AVI Type II with 48KHz 16-bit Audio
As well as the links just above, use Google to find conversion software
I have NOT used the products below, I only forward due to other mentions... so YMMV and all the usual disclaimers... check the links and read to find out if one of the products listed below will rip or convert the files you have to something you need for editing

  • Valuation Class - Movement Type - Account

    Hi,
I´m not yet that experienced in SAP but I´ll try to explain as good as I can.
Is there any easy way to display all accounts that are used within a specific valuation class?
The specific accounts per valuation class I have found using se16 in table t030.
But this table is not telling me which movement type are using the accounts.
So I currently go to spro -> MM -> Valuation and Account Asignment -> Account Determination -> Account Determination without Wizard -> Purchase Account Management -> Configure Automatic Postings -> Simulation
    - first problem: I do not know how to find a material for a specific valuation class (no filter criteria?)
    - second problem: no complete list I have to click through each movement type to see where a specific account is used -> a complete list over all movement types within a  selected/used valuation class would help a lot!
    Best regards,
    F.

    Hi,
You can get the material list per valuation class through table MBEW (Valuation). You can use MB51 t.code to get the document list based on movement type.
The movement type and valuation class relation is through transaction event key. Movement type will determine the transaction event key through value string (the same you can find in OMJJ t.code, here select movement type and enter any movement type and click on account groupign > You can find the relation).
Transaction event key is assigned with G/L accounts based on Chart of accounts/Valuation grouping code/valuation class/account gouping(only for GBB,PRD & KON).

  • Mov Typ

    Dear Friends,
How does Mov Typ comes automatically in the Sales Order & which movement type is used in 3rd Party Sales Order?
    Thank you.

    Dear sir.
Movement type will come in sales order with the help of item category and for that item category which schedule line category assigned.
please go through the SPRO setting.
    SPRO-IMg-Sales and Distribution-Sales-Sales Documents-Schedule Lines-Define Schedule Line Categories.
here schedule line category can be created.in that schedule line category movement type assigned.
    SPRO-IMg-Sales and Distribution-Sales-Sales Documents-Schedule Lines-Assign Schedule Line Categories.(VOV6)
here for your item category you assign schedule line category .
while creating the SO with the help of item category and schedule line category movement type will come.
in Std  third party the item category is TAS and schedule line category assigned CS.
please check  Schedule line category CS, there no movement type assigned.
because for third party when you do GRN with respective PO the material will go the custome.
    regards
