Which mysql version is for Mac OS X 10.6.7 ?

I have a problem with installation of mysql. I doesn't work.   Which mysql version is for Mac OS X 10.6.7 .

Hi, thanks for your reply. My Problem: I have to install the MySQL in order to do some Exercise with mySQL. so I installed MySQL 5.5 and it didn't work, because I have the Intel (10.06.8). so I decided to remove mySQL, and I used the following commands:
sudo rm /usr/local/mysql
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/mysql*
sudo rm -rf /Library/StartupItems/MySQLCOM
sudo rm -rf /Library/PreferencePanes/My*
sudo rm -rf /Library/Receipts/mysql*
sudo rm -rf /Library/Receipts/MySQL*
sudo rm /etc/my.cnf
sudo rm /var/db/dslocal/nodes/Default/groups/_mysql.plist
sudo rm /var/db/dslocal/nodes/Default/users/_mysql.plist
sudo rm /var/db/receipts/com.mysql.mysql.bom
sudo rm /var/db/receipts/com.mysql.mysql..plist
Yes,  I thought I removed the Mysql.  then I tried to install MySQL  version 5.1.58 ,  and at the end of installation, I received an Error  message: System Error.
my Questions:
1. How can I rollback my System  to previous state?
2. which Mysql version is suitable for Mac Book Pro
