Which NIC and how to configure?

Can anyone tell me which is the easiest NIC to configure in Solaris 8(Intel) and the steps to configure it. I need to buy one.

I prefer Intel 82559 NICs but 3Com 905B NICs are good too. To configure them is easy. I would read the manual page for `ifconfig' to familiarise myself with it.

A complication that I need to resolve is the fact that I am using Vmware
Fusion to be able to use Windows on my Mac. Now it seems that Time
Machine is not backing up my files
on that virtual Windows without additional configuration and my question
is whether you can advise me here or whether this is only a matter for
the Fusion virtual machine.

If you want to use Time Capsule you can.. you simply bridge it and plug it into the existing router.. wireless can be either turned off or used to reinforce the existing wireless.. eg use 5ghz in the TC which is much faster than your 2.4ghz.
You can also use a NAS.. many brands available but the top brands are synology, qnap and netgear readynas series. These will all do Time Machine backups although how well always depends on Apple sticking to a standard. There are cheaper ones.. I bought a single disk zyxel which was rebadged and sold through my local supermarket. It actually works very well for TM at least on Snow Leopard. Major changes were made in Lion and again ML so do not instantly think it will work on later versions. I haven't tried it yet with those versions.
Any external drive can be plugged into the mac. Use the one with the fastest connection or cheapest price according to your budget. USB2 drives are cheap and plentiful. But no where near as fast as USB3 or FW800. So just pick whichever suits the ports on your Mac. Interesting Apple finally moved to USB3 on their latest computers.
TM should exclude the VM partition file.. it is useless backing it up from Mac OS side.. and will slow TM as it needs to backup that partition everyday for no purpose.. TM cannot see the files inside it to backup just the changes.
You need to backup windows from windows. Use MSbackup to external drive.. if you have pro or ultimate versions you can backup to network drive. But MSbackup is a dog.. at least until the latest version it cannot restore the partition without first loading windows. There are about a zillion backup software versions for windows.. look up reviews and buy one which works for you. I use a free one Macrium Reflect which does full disk backups and is easy to restore.. to do incremental backups though you have to pay for it.

Hi Kiran,
Please fallow the below steps to create the custom infotype. If you have any quires let me know.
For Creation of Infotype first Go to Transaction PM01, Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create, it should be a 4 digit number and have to start with 9xxx.
then select the `Employee Infotype' radio button
after that select the `PS Structure Infotype'
then click on Create A separate table maintenance window appears
then Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the infotype
Save and Activate the PS structure
now Go back to the initial screen of PM01
Click on `All' push button. It takes a few moments
Click on `Technical Characteristics. Infotype list screen appears
Click on `Change'(pencil) button
Now select your Infotype and click on `Detail' (magnifying glass) button
Give `T591A' as subtype table & also Give `T591S' as subtype txt tab
Give your subtype field as subtype field & Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
Click on `Infotype Characteristics' Infotype list screen appears
Click on `Change' (pencil) button & on New Entries
and then Enter your Infotype number and short text Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotype's infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference
to fill yours). Now save ur entries
Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your
requirement
In the PM01 initial screenSelect `Screen' radio button and give
2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
In the next screen.. Select `Layout Editor' and click `Change'.
Screen default layout appearshere you can design/modify the
screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
Save and activate. (Don't forget to `Activate at every level)

Hi Prashanth,
Time profile can be customized using transaction OPD2.
It contains the time horizons for importing the data records as well as for evaluation and planning.
the planning horizon must be smaller or equal to the database read period.
SAPPM_Z002 is a sample time profile
The list profile defines teh presentaion of the output lists,transaction used is OPDH.

Flash Media Server does not come bundled with a load balancer. In theory, one deploys FMS in an edge/origin configuration like this
1 Origin ----> N Edges ------> Customer Traffic
The idea here is that N edges shoulder the load for most customers with a single origin coordinating resources like VOD content or script access. The issue that remains is "how do I spread customers over the N edges" and that's where load balancing comes in. Most customers use a prepackaged load balancing solution - as an Adobe staffer I can't recommend any of them over the other, but you should be able to get some recommendations here along with just googling for it. The short answer contained here though is, you're going to have to find one outside of FMS if that's needed for your setup.

You must have at least a Late 2006 model 2,1 MacBook.
The model 2,1 (Late 2006 & Mid 2007) can use 3gb of 200 pin 667mhz PC2-5300 RAM

Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly. You can put two 2gb RAM sticks in the model 2,1 but it can only use 3,3gb. This is a hardware limitation and cannot be changed.

with the transaction ASKB - APC Values Posting you create the postings in FI(CO)

MS Communicator: what is it and how to configure i...

Got the latest update for my C6-01 and now there is also something called Microsoft Communicator. Did try to find some info and found it but still not sure what this app does? Also, how to configure it? Things to put in are username, password, URL CWA-server. Username of what?? And what the hell is CWA-server?? I mean, there is no Help or something for it yet Nokia does put it in as default app now. What's up with that?
Oh and I can uninstall it but then every time I start Ovi Suite on my PC then it says there is an update. But that that stupid MS Communicator again.
Something else strange: when I look up this app in Ovi Store it says that's not available for my C6-01 phone. Yet here it is installed and all after the Anna update?

I got an error wile authenticating LDAP server, saying"unable to find valid certification path to requested target", I came to know that I need to configure LDAP server's certificates in jre/lib/security/cacerts file. but I don't know how to do it.
Could someone explain what is that certificate? how do I get that information from LDAP admins? how to configure certification in my machine and how to use in our logic?

Mapping means the conversion from a source message (structure) to a target message (structure).
In this operation you define how fields of the target message are filled using fields of the source message.
You can choose between:
- graphical message mapping
- XSLT Mapping
- Java Mapping
- ABAP Mapping
Tipically it is preferible to use graphical message mapping because it is easier to develope and mantain. Are you planning on using the Chinese language in Illustrator? Or, do you just want a Chinese looking font, but using the English language? I use Font Agent Pro for font management. It allows you to install the font, view it and print a sample. You can look for Chinese looking fonts online ( i.e., myfonts.com ). As far as Chinese fonts themselves, I have no clue.
