Accoprding to Apple's information, all UK phones are sold as locked to the carrier you got it from, so yours is ALREADY locked to T-Mobile (activation has nothing to do with whether a phone is sold as locked or not).
However, it looks like, from Apple's listing, that they also support unlocking, but you will need to contact them about doing that. There may be restrictions, like so many months under contract first, or a fee, or whatever rules they apply to unlocking. Or there may be none and you just need to ask them to do it.
Regardless, you need to contact T-Mobile and ask them about how to get an unlock request processed by them. And do it before you leave - much more difficult to deal with once you are far removed from their network.

My iPad will not charge and every time I charge it. It comes up with the iTunes icon and I will not charge, it is not a new I pad and the same charger I use for the I pad I use for my I phone and it will charge. What is wrong?
What exactlyare you seeing on the iPad's screen ? If it's the iTunes icon and a cable then that means that it's gone into recovery mode - you will need to connect it to your computer's iTunes and you should be able to use that to reset it back to factory defaults and you can then restore/resync your content to it.

It is unclear the advantage to pre-ordering the new iPhone 5. What I have read is that it will ship on the 21st if you pre-order? If so the only way to get one on the 21st is go stand in line. Please correct me if I am wrong.
if you don't have time to stand in line or don't want to risk getting there too late and leaving empty handed from the apple store preordering will guarantee you one but possibly in a slightly longer timeframe

if you got the money and dont care about another 120$ just upgrade to the 32 gig its better safe than sorry once you buy the 16 gig your stuck. i never had a space issue until i got the 4s because around that time i started downloading more games, apps and music. let me tell you those mp3s and games add up real fast i found myself having to delete stuff because apple never really sells you a 16 gig or 32 gig phone theres always a few gigabytes missing that they say is because of the ios taking up space but i know for a fact no hard drive ever comes as advertised ive purchased many hard drives over the years for my desktops and not one came as advertised always a few gigabytes missing and that goes for the 3 portable hard drives i recently purchased ...as of right now my 32 gig iphone only registers 28 gigabytes of total space so 4 gigabytes are gone right off the bat. some food for thought.

Which of the two models is better to use photo editing and 3D softwares?

I intend to buy a Mac, but I'm in doubt between two models. Besides the basic usage I use the computer to edit photos (Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator) and construction of 3D objects in software like Solid Works and Rhinoceros.
I am in doubt if I buy one of the models below:

GustavoIf you edit photos and do contractions of 3D objects majority of time, rMBP wil probably better for you.
The main difference between the two is that rMBP performs slightly better and has much more pixels, more ports.
If you don't feel like you need to take advantage of such things, MBA will do a really good job.
However if Display, ports is needed rMBP will be better for you.
From experience, rMBP is way too expensive for the performance so I'm buying the MBA soon. -
I am willing to accept my part in being misled by these people on two separate occasions. The first time was when we purchased two smartphones and had another phone on our bill. During the process I asked repeatedly what the monthly bill would be for all three phones and was told repeatedly that the cost would be $169.00. In reality that price did not include the extra phone and because our plan changed the cost of the extra line went to thirty-five dollars a month instead of ten dollars a month.
My next encounter, in a different store and a different salesman, was just last month. My husband's phone stopped working and we went in to get a new phone. We pay for the insurance. The salesman said the insurance cost was fifty dollars where as the upgraded phone would only be twenty dollars. Again I repeatedly asked if there were any other charges and was told no it only cost twenty dollars. However when the bill arrived the cost for service on that phone went up thirty dollars. The upgrade from what we had isn't worth thirty dollars.
I know I have no recourse for this and will pay for my mistake, but only as long as I have to. My contract on the phone I carry runs out in September. I will be cancelling that service then. As soon as the other contract runs out in 2016 that will be cancelled also.
As I have said I take full responsibility for my mistakes in believing the salesman and not taking time to read the fine print. However I also think that I should be able to believe the salesman when he quotes the charges to me when I ask. I am not a happy customer and anyone who asks me about Verizon will get the full story.When you're ready to walk out of the door, why would they bring up a $30 upgrade fee? Is it moral? No. Is it legal? Yes.
At this day and age, you have to watch your own back. This could've been avoided had you properly read your contract, which is updated more frequently than one would think. -

There is no featured tab in my iTunes store. . . and everywhere it shows me signed in. I had downloaded an app for my mother on HER ipad, and that is the only app I have done for her. It shows up on my phone, and now I cannot update any of my apps. I uninstalled that app on my phone, but when I want to update ones I have installed on my phone with my appleid, she keeps showing up.

When you get the new iPhone 5S they say it come with all the iWork apps for free install already. But if i restore from back-up from an old device which doesnt have any iWork apps would I still receive those iWork Apps?

I have not ugraded, but I can on 1 of my apples, to Mountain Lion. Much of the software I use is not compatible, or the compatible version is unacceptable (Quicken, etc.).
iTunes is 10.6.3, and it says it is the CURRENT software for my system.
The new iPhone 5 requires iTunes 7.
I may be dense, but is there no way around this problem other than upgrading to Mountain Lion? Maybe it is a strategy to sell more computers? In any case I may simply bypass the new iPhone. That isn't what would be the ideal scene, but it's an option.
Any thoughts on Apple coming up with a solution and having the iPhone 5 at least partially compatible with iTunes 10.6.3? Like they did with iCloud?

Where can I buy a nano sim for the new iPhone 5
Hi all,
I have just ordered a new iPhone 5 from the apple website and it comes as an unlocked phone. Therefore I need to buy a new 'nano sim' to fit the new phone.
Does anyone know where and how I go about doing this?
I've seen that vodaphone have apparently got 500,000 of these new Nano sims in stock, but are they only for people who have bought the phone through them?
Do you know any other networks or providers that are selling the nano sim, even if you haven't purchased the phone from them?
Any advice or tips would be much appreiciated.

Which is why in the UK it is not really worth purchasing an iPhone directly from Apple - it's a no brainer. You should always purchase through the phone companies themselves and you'll get a much better deal always.
I have been with 02 on a contract since I had my first iPhone and have always upgraded for less than half the cost of the iPhone directly from Apple.
I really don't understand why someone would want to spend at least £525 to £600 on a phone from Apple when you could get it for less than half the cost with the UK phone companies, unless of course money is no object!

Can anyone assist. I've downloaded the new ios 7 software for my iphone 4s phone. Ever since doing so I often cannot access
