Which of two Options should I choose?
I bought a used iPod for my sister. I synced it with my new iMac, erasing everything on it and adding 1500 songs (very few purchases from iTunes on it) for her. She is now trying to Sync the iPod with her PC. My question is.... which Option should she choose, the first is not good of course, to erase and sync. But the 2nd option says, "Transfers purchase. Copies iTunes store purchases this computer is authorized to play from this iPod to this iTunes library."
Does that mean it "will" copy the songs for her but not the songs I purchased, which is just a few and is okay with us? She's in another state so when someone answers I will call her. Thanks to anyone who can help. (Also, does it matter that her computer is a PC?)

Restore it. That's probably what she'll end up doing. Then she can use it and like you said, add her own songs. I know she's got her own CD's. It's okay that you're human. So am I, as I found out when I make my only mistake. That was when I thought I was wrong but I wasn't.

But for multiple issues I had to take it back. After several repairs, they offered me the three options below as the 17-inch MBP is discontinued(?).. Which one should I choose?
The main reason I want a 17-inch screen is that I am working with graphics and also I move often, so I can't afford carrying an iMac around.

Then what's the worry? Consider how long you intend to own this MBP. Figure 3 years. Buy AppleCare to make sure you're covered.You're obsessing about an issue that may or may not happen. This is just my opinion. The other opinions are, from what I read, based upon what each poster wants, not what you need. You've got to assess your own requirements. -

When i recently bought my new iMac, i transferred my photos from the old pc. then i recd an update which introduced the Photos...so now i have two photo repositories and i only want one. how do i get them together and how can i easily find duplicates to delete? and which library should i choose.
When you launch Photos for the first time it will import all of your photos from iPhoto. iPhoto is going away eventually and Photos is the replacement. For the time being both apps will remain on your system but you should start using Photos exclusively for the future.

Whenever I connect my iphone 3GS to my PC through a USB. My itunes software comes up automatically.
1. After that a message appears from the itunes that states that 'itunes could not connect to the itunes store, an unknown error cccured (306).
2. After the above, an alert message comes up which states that A new iphone software version 5.1 is availlable for my iphone. It then states would you like to download it and update your iphone now? When I launch Disk Utility, I'm asked to select a disk, volume, or image. I'm enclosing a photo of my hard drives. For instance, if I wanted to repair disk permissions on "Hard Disk," there appear to be two choices. Choice one: Hard Disk icon. Choice two: Hard Disk icon and number 74.5 GB ST380021A

The upper icon (ST380021A) represents the device, the icon underneath it (Hard Disk) represents a partition, (you can divide the disk up into multiple partitions)
If you select the device, actions will affect all partitions, (i.e. fix permissions on all partitions on that device) whereas selecting an individual partition will only affect that one partition.
One thing that breaks this is the partition tab, which applies to the current device and all of it's partitions even if you are only selecting one if it's partitions. -

No, Photoshop is, assuming you are speaking of CS4 and are concerned about hardware accelerated features like the soft zoom or 3D features in PS Extended. Those only work with NVidia or ATI cards. If you can live without those features, it doesn't matter which system you get. The only critical factor then becomes RAM - the more, the better. One word of warning on the way: Make sure, your laptop supports the minimum system requirements in terms of screen resolution. If not, you may not even be able to install the software let alone use it.
