i have been using ipod touch 5th gen and i thing its just right . it is right about the thin design the iphone 5 optics iphone 4s chip and a camera of an iphone 4 its preety nice actually ive been using it for a month its pretty good in performance....... i hope that the next gen ipod touch has 3g connection..... and the i love about apple inc. is that they make the thinnest products ever

You could contact Apple Support and see if they have the original discs for that machine but it would be 10.4.11 and there's no reason not to go to at least Snow Leopard, especially since the 10.6 discs would probably cost the same as a replacement set of 10.4.11

An MBA is a portable while an iMac is a desktop and is not portable. You could install Windows on either provided each had sufficient memory installed and a large enough hard drive. The iMac is better equipped for this from the outset, but the MBA can be adequately configured if you are willing to spend the money to do so.

In general most macs you buy are the same. If you will be doing quite a lot of editing of photos and videos, then the big things to look for are:
Processor - 2.8ish GHz Intel i7 4-core - is about the best I have head of thus far.
RAM - fairly easy to upgrade yourself, but 16GB is typically more than you will need for the next 5 years at least.
iLife is reasonably good software for editing media, but as a photographer, you may have your own prefered software
The good thing about Apple is that they don't sell ****** computers in general. They offer little in the way of customization of hardware which is both their strength and weakness.

Either will work fine in Central Asia as loge ad the carries support GSM (almost all do).
One of the iPads will only work with the AT&T GSM) network if you are in the USA and the Other with the Virizon network (uses CDMA, not GSM/SIM) if you are in the USA

Wifi is wifi (generally) and you should be able to take your american bought device (presuming that's what you mean) to europe and get it online.
The biggest issue you may face is to make sure you have a plug adapter. Your power brick is rated for world wide power variances you'll just need an adapter to make the plug fit eurpoean plugs.

I'm from Italy but I'll soon go on an exchange program in the US. I wanted to buy an iPad mini there because I'm going to need one. I think that iPad mini WiFi + cellular will be the best option so that when I'll come back to Italy I can use it with a local sim. But in the US I would use it as if it was only iPad mini WiFi, so I wouldn't buy an it&t/verizon sim, whereas in Italy I would buy a sim and use it as it is, WiFi + cellular. Would it work or not?

What roaming charges? If you have a local plan there are no roaming charges. This is a major reason for using a local plan.
Contact, or visit the website, whatever local provider you are considering and get their plan details.

No, you do not have to activate the iPad when it is purchased. I have had one for over 6 months and have never activated it. Using it in your home country will depend on the network requirments there and how compatible they are with the specifications of a French iPad.
As far as warranty goes, currently, you would need to return the iPad to France (or the country of purchase) for service. Although there are rumors of a change to this, but like all rumors, who knows if or when that may change.
