Which patches are already applied

Hi,
how can I requeste from the database which patches are already applied ?
select * from TABLENAME ;
I have forgotten the name of table or view.
Many thanks before.

If you want to see installed product versions, then you can use V$VERSION and DBA_REGISTRY dictionary views (the last one 9i onwards).

  • Critical Patch Updates - already applied

Does anyone know how to get a list of Critical Patch Updates already applied on a system.
I am aware that from 11.5.10.2 with ATG 6 onwards all CPU's are cumulative. However I also believe that there is no current way to get a list of CPU's applied - Oracle have not yet created a script for this purpose. I believe the only way is to look at each CPU document and try to crossmatch the patch number to ad_bugs.
Does anyone have a better method than this or a script already created ?
    Jim

    Hi Jim;
I belive you should use Critical Patch Updates and Security Alerts and check those patch avaliable by using Opatch utulity and from ad_bugs table

  • Which patches should be applied

    DB-Version: 11.2.0.2.0  ---- got from v$version
OS : SUNOS 5.10 sparc (this means 32 bit right?)

Hello guys, I have a bit of a situation with patch terminology. My manager came to me and told me that we had to find out which patches to be applied and after that we had to go to metalink and find out what patches are available for our systems.
so first off, I logged into one node, went to $ORACLE_HOME/Opatch/ and did the following "opatch lsinventory" and got the following information.
Now my question is, how do I use the following info to find out what other patches to be applied?

You are running 11.2.0.2   The current (latest) patchset level is 11.2.0.4   That requires an "out-of-place" upgrade -- i.e. by installing 11.2.0.4 in a seperate ORACLE_HOME and then running catupgrd.
However, before you do that, you should be upgrading your Grid Infrastructure (to 11.2.0.4)
Since an upgrade from 11.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.4 is significant, you should test your applications against 11.2.0.4 in a test environment first.
    See Oracle Support notes
11.2.0.4 Patch Set - Availability and Known Issues (Doc ID 1562139.1)
    and
Important Changes to Oracle Database Patch Sets Starting With 11.2.0.2 (Doc ID 1189783.1)
CPUs are documented here : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/alerts-086861.html
The latest CPU, for the October 2013 release, is the final CPU for 11.2.0.2   [See Oracle Support note "Patch Set Update and Critical Patch Update October 2013 Availability Document (Doc ID 1571391.1)"].  Subsequent CPUs will be released for 11.2.0.3 and 11.2.0.4
Some customers, to be safe, do not apply the latest patch "until it has stabilised".  They might choose to be one patch level lower than the latest.  For example, to be on 11.2.0.3 and the July 2013 CPU.  Your organistation needs to have a Patch Management Policy that drives decisions on patching.

  • Map Loader should tell me which maps are already i...

    Hi!
I've tries many ways, but haven't found a way for Map Loader to tell me which maps are ALREADY in my device. Which means that every time I go to a country, I have to try to remember if I had already uploaded that map to my device... or not.
Is there a way to figure out easily what maps are already present in my phone? And while we're at it, what voices?
Also, as a natural consequence, I'd like to be able to remove voices or maps individually.
This seems like basic functions that TomTom has had for, well... forever.
    Gilles.

But there's no similar for maps. Even with latest Ovi Maps.
    Hi ggravier
Ironically in Nokia Maploader for Mac which is a stripped down version there is a download history which although not perfect does give you some idea!

  • Which patches should I apply?

    Hi,
I've just downloaded the current version of Oracle Database 11g.
I'd like to apply all the patches which have been released which are not already in this version.
Any ideas how I'd identify these patches and where I'd find them?
    Many thanks,
    Rich

    Please find this in support.oracle.com
Where to Download 11.2.0.3 or Other Grid Infrastructure Patch Set [ID 1410284.1]
    The patch number is:

  • Sparc Soalris patch upgrade - which patches are needed ? (newbie)

    showrev gives :
    SunOS 5.10 Generic_127111-10
I want to know if I need to install some patches (I am using this host as a high performance J2EE server)
On http://sunsolve.sun.com/show.do?target=patchpage I type in 127111-10 and do find the patch and I read ...
Summary: Obsoleted by: 127111-11 SunOS 5.10: kernel patch
Then I search for that patch and I read it is also obsolete etc
Surely there is a simple way for me to type in "127111-10" and read what exactly I should install.

It's usually a good idea to install the current "Solaris 10_xxx Recommended Patch Cluster" every couple of months.
    Download from sunsolve: (800MB)
    Unpack
Read Install Instructions, which usually say:
Bring server to single-user mode and run ./install_cluster
this installs all patches that are not already installed and fit to your installation automatically (can take 1-2 hours)
In your case also install current "J2SE Solaris 10_xxxx Recommended Patch Cluster", which keeps all the java stuff patched.
Installing a single patch mostly painfull, because there are always dependencies, which have to met (see patch Readme)
Use this only in case of particular troubles.

  • Which Patches are the right ones?

    Hi,
we are currently using Forms 4.5, but want to upgrade to 6.0 or 6i. I currently browsed through the available patches for the products on Metalink, but I found it quite confusing.
Do I need the patches for Apps11i?
What are the right patches for Dev6.0 because the newest one (set 5a) seems not the last one to aplly (set 6a)?
Can anybody help to clarify the situation?
    Thanks in advance

You can find them on Oracle's FTP site
    ftp://oracle-ftp.oracle.com/dev_tools/patchsets/dev2k/Win95NT/6.0/
    You can try (for 6i):
    ftp://oracle-ftp.oracle.com/dev_tools/patchsets/dev2k/Win95NT/6i/patch1/
but I wonder why you need patches before installing the product and experience troubles?

  • Which patches to apply for 11i Demo Instance?

Who can tell me which patch must be applied for 11i Demo instance after install completely because I found many errors from 11i Demo such as Oracle Managemnet Module can not test the functionality.

You need to apply the 11.5.3. level of code and Patch set D before you do much with OM. Even with 11.5.3. you will still not be able to complete a full order cycle. Shipping still gets blocked with errors that are being worked on at Oracle Development as we speak.

Ensure that you have the most recently updated patch list by consulting http://support.oracle.com (My Oracle Support). Search for the knowledge document 1004881.1 - Live Upgrade Software Patch Requirements (formerly 206844) on My Oracle Support.
The patches listed in knowledge document 1004881.1 - Live Upgrade Software Patch Requirements (formerly 206844) on My Oracle Support are subject to change at any time. These patches potentially fix defects in Live Upgrade, as well as fix defects in components that Live Upgrade depends on. If you experience any difficulties with Live Upgrade, please check and make sure that you have the latest Live Upgrade patches installed.
If you are running the Solaris 8 or Solaris 9 OS, you might not be able to run the Live Upgrade installer. These releases do not contain the set of patches needed to run the Java 2 runtime environment. You must have the recommended patch cluster for the Java 2 runtime environment recommended to run the Live Upgrade installer and install the packages. To install the Live Upgrade packages, use the pkgadd command. Or install, for the Java 2 runtime environment, the recommended patch cluster. The patch cluster is available on http://support.oracle.com (My Oracle Support).

  • Which patches to apply on top of a WebLogic Portal 10.3.5 installation?

    Hi,
Is there any MOS note that lists which patches should be applied on top of a WebLogic Portal 10.3.5 installation?
    Regards Peter

    Thank you Emmanuel.
Is it because the features in Portal Examples were not supported anymore since 10.3.4?

  • How to tell which maps are the latest?

I have Maps v3.01 loaded on my 6710 Navigator (came with free worldwide licence) and Map Loader v3.0.28 on my PC.
How do I tell which maps are loaded on my Nokia and what version/date the maps availalble on Map Loader are?
Map Loader does not state which maps are already on my phone, nor does it state the date or version of the maps which can be uploaded.
Obviously, I'd like to install newer versions of my country map if and when it is available, but how do I know which version is available and which I already have?
Ovi.com does not seem to be the answer either as all maps were downloaded using Map Loader.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you already have a free worldwide license and V 3.01 is working well for you then you are right to leave it for the moment. I hear of problems  searching for addresses etc with V3.03.  Can always update later when everything is sorted.
I believe if you delete all your maps and then use Ovi Suite to download new maps, Ovi Suite will at least tell you what maps you have on your phone. I haven;t tried it myself because I can't stand Ovi Suite.
Speed warning is available for Ireland but just like you I have to import the speed camera locations as landmarks. Hopefully, we will see these as new features in future updates.

  • Which maps are loaded on my phone?

I'm using Nokia Map Loader to install maps on my phone for the various countries I travel to, but how can I tell which maps are already present on the phone?
I can't see any way to determine if a particular map is already installed, or whether it's the latest version. It seems the only way to be sure you have the latest map is to download and install it again. The maps for some countries are over 100MB in size, so it would be nice to avoid doing that if it's not necessary.
    Chris

Unfortunately it isn't possible to tell what maps you already have with the current version of Map Loader.
However, there is no harm in regularly downloading map data, even if you already have it as the maps are regularly updated. I actually make it a point to regularly download all the maps I refularly use. The new maps will just overwrite the old and I am guaranteed the latest maps.

  • Multiple Templates Selection When No languages patches are applied

    Hi All,
I am looking for the best approach to translate the .rtf templates into different languages when no languages patches are applied.
    Regards,
    Nagesh Manda.

there are both "Upload to Flickr" and "BlackMug" apps in App World, for both of those services, they should work.
In your screenshots, the middle one, if you select one image, and then tap the second image, does it DE-select the first selection?
