Which patchsets to apply before 11.03 - 11i upgrade?

What is the best way to find out which patchsets I need to apply before beginning the upgrade from 11.03 to 11i? We are running Government Financials and we are only on patchset D for most modules including FND. I am fairly new to apps and am getting very frustrated trying to determine how to get this information. It is my understanding that the patchset levels need to match up and you can't go a lot higher on one module without patching the others... additionally we do have several bugs especially in Purchasing.

How to find the patchset and applied patches

Hi all,
I'd like to know is there some sql statement to show me the current patchset and the patches which are already applied to oracle. If no, please tell me how to check this.

Which patch to apply when live upgrading to a new OS

Hello Guys,
when you use live upgrade to upgrade to a new OS level , which patches do you apply before performing the upgrade? I used prerequired patches from 10REC when performing a live upgrade patching . Do you use these same prerequired patches when upgrading to a NEW OS LEVEL?

How to create a date field which is 16 months before today(current day)

Hallo,
I made a report and i want to set date limits. My data contains a date field so in record selection filter i like to set that the date field is between date1 and date2.
As date2 i set and as date1 i what to set a date which is 16 months before today(first of that month)
For example today is 08/05/2010 so,
date2 = 08/05/2010(August 2010) and date1 = 05/01/2009(May 2009)

Here's a little formula for getting to the first of the month, that's easier than what you've been using...
To find the beginning of the current month
DateAdd("m", DateDiff("m", #1/1/1900#, CurrentDate), #1/1/1900#)
... or to find the begining of the month. 16 months ago
DateAdd("m", DateDiff("m", #1/1/1900#, CurrentDate) - 16, #1/1/1900#)

No easy fix for a few reasons:
1) Bootcamp requires a hybrid MBR for the partition table. That is: both an MBR and a GPT partition table at the same time with the GPT one having all partitions and the MBR one having only the ones that are relevant, but at most 4 of them (including the protective partition and the Macintosh HD one). Which leads us to:
2) The MBR part of the hybrid partition table cannot work with 3TB hard drives. MBR is limited to 2TB.
I am working on a small EFI app that can boot Windows in EFI mode on a Mac and that would mean that you can go GPT only on your system. The progress of the app is slow due to the nature of EFI and for now requires that you do an unattended Windows install with slipstreamed graphics drivers, but we are adding VGA loading on top of EFI quite soon after the rest of the app stabilises. The status of the app is documented at:
Win7 x64 booting natively via EFI (no bios emulation)
Windows does actually successfully boot in EFI mode on most Macs (anything with a 64bit EFI should work), but does not have graphics support even if you load the driver due to the VGA pci registers not being set by the firmware. Furthermore, in Setup and Safe Mode, Windows uses VGA instead of GOP which is a failure by design since VGA is a BIOS standard and not really compatible without hacks with EFI. Other EFI implementations also add VGA compatibility at a high cost to the firmware complexity for the VGA cards available on the market that don't actually contain anything in their ROM except the VGA BIOS.
My recomendations:
1) Install on a second smaller hard-drive; or
2) Wait for the EFI app to come out officially and use that to boot Windows Vista SP1 x64 and Windows 7 x64 (RTM and SP1) in the native EFI mode.
3) Wait for Windows 8 which supports VGA-less booting acording to the AMD presentation at UEFI Plugfest.

iTunes does not have provision for automatically storing one kind of media on a separate drive, so you have some basic decisions to make first. Do you want these movies to still appear in your iTunes library, or are you content with browsing filenames on a drive in Finder when you want to look for one? The second's the easiest thing because then you don't have to have an external drive permanently turned on and attached to your computer (wired or wireless). To do that you literelly only need to drag your movies folder to an archive drive and delete movies from iTunes. To watch them again you can add it back to iTunes while holding down the option key so the movie is used from its location on the external drive.
There's ways to move the movies to an external drive while keeping them in iTunes but the external drive iwll always have to be turned on and connected to the computer or you will see a bunch of broken link exclamation marks.
Realize what you are talking about is not "backup". Backup (which you should do) is putting a second or more copy of items on external drives for the day when your internal drive fails and everything on it is lost, inclduing all your home photos and perhaps things that have been pulled from the iTunes Store and can no longer be re-downloaded.

It may have used the YouTube app that is no longer included in iOS. Try downloading the YouTube app in the App Store and see if it works.

Use XML to specify which design to apply

I have 10 different designs of ID badges that I need to print on a regular bases. How I have it set up right now is that the customer enters their information on my website. I then store that information on a database and convert it into and XML file. Each XML file has the data for 15 id badges plus an XML field that specifies which design to apply to that specific ID badge.
Ideally, what I would like to happen is that I can load the XML file into an InDesign template that allows me to print 15 different id badges on a single page. And that each ID badge on the page will have its own design, based on the design type specified in the XML field. Is this possible in InDesign?

Could it be that you or your daughter used your daughters Apple ID to install these apps? Make sure that your Apple ID is set up in "Settings > iTunes & App Stores" then delete the Apps when your daughters ID appears and then re-download them again by using your own Apple ID. This should fix the problem.

Problem which didn't excite before! with compensation ALL mood

hello guys , im facing a problem which didn't excite before! when i put my compensation in ALL mood ,when i opened my last project which was working perfectly ! i experience 2 problems:
1- my play head start playing then i heard the sound after 1 sec or after 1/2 bar !
2- in compensation ( ALL mood ) for mixing delay happens in the main output and in any channel routed to external console if that channel has a plugin on its channel strip ! like t-racks limiter !
i have the same project was working in great way before as well as the system so what is happening !
any idea guys ?i used to roud some channels to my console .....

1_im using it under 32 bit coz not all the plugins support 64 bit yet !and i didn't had any problems..
2-i have 4 gig of ram and also i didn't had such a problem ( i used to rout my out puts to my neve console so i don't have to use allot of plug-ins or work with full digital recording ),anyway the play head now is playing half bar before you hear the sound as well as, on the main out if u put any plug-in you gonna have a problem latency wise..! i even tried to open other project which has less tracks and less plugins and has the same problem!
3- the strange thing is i opened the same project under osx 10.5.xx on my other hard drive,and it worked as expected ?!
4- yes on snow some time i have this msg "memory low" warnings ,but it used to keep going on the right way it should ..
5- i don't know if this has anything to do with my problem or not but ,week ago i had an upgrade msg for the system i think or to be honest i don't remember but its nothing to do with pro application update, so after that update logic went crazy !but im not sure if that update is the reason !
6- i wonder if i reinstall logic is this will solve the problem ?or is there away that one of the plug-ins is making problems suddenly?! but i didnt change anything ..! well its computers at the end of the day it could be a small thing or a big problem ..

We recently upagraded our OEM from 12.1.0.2 to 12.1.0.4 with out using software updates option during upgrade, hence none of the PSUs are applied to OEM. Now we want to apply latest OEM patches which fixes all the fixes and bug/securities.
I thought BP will include PSU as well but why does DOC id - 1900943.1 says - NOTE: We recommend that you always apply the most recent quarterly PSU. The answer is Yes.
The PSU is core OMS patches (think console, incident rules, notifications, etc.) This gets applied to your OMS ORACLE_HOME (i.e. /u01/app/oracle/mw/oms)
The Plugin System Bundle is a compilation of all the latest plugin patch bundles (So for DB Plugin bundle it contains all the latest DB Plugin fixes). The system patch will apply required patches as necessary, skip what's not.
