Which path to take

I'm considering a new career path to take.  I would like to work mainly as a help desk technician and then grow from there.  My question is as a newbie here what microsoft certification should I begin with?  MTA? MCSA?  Also would you
recommend bootcamps or trade schools?  Thanks.

For Win8 or Win7, opt for MCSA. But very few corporations are looking at Win8. To prepare for MCSA, select a good institutes that have good faculty and provide
proper training using real equipment. I am also Microsoft certified from Koenig Solutions, which is world's #1 offshore training institute

I intended to be a SQL Server developer and Administrator , but I planning to take MCSD before MCSA SQL Server 2012 , to help me to developing a full solutions to any database system , but I found MCSD certificate had more than one path
    First Path

Mohamed Ahmed Database Administrator & Developer

    Hi, MohamedDBA.
I agree with Horizon_Net that the MCSD: Web Applications certification would be best for your certification goals. Especially since you are concerned with becoming certified in the future of database development technologies.
Specifically, the 70-487 certification exam covers programming with WCF (for data access over the internet/intranet), Entity Framework (for data access anywhere), Web API (REST Services for data access over the internet/intranet), and Microsoft Azure
(for hosting databases, applications, and much more in the cloud). Most likely, you will be managing SQL Server databases in the cloud in your future.
I highly recommend that you swap 70-483 for 70-480, which will still count for the
MCSD: Web Applications certification. The 70-483 C# programming exam will be really useful while studying the C# language, which is used by the 70-486 and 70-487 exams. As well, just by passing this one exam, you will earn the title
Specialist: Programming in C# title. Here are the details (including the ability to swap the two exams, under
Additional Options) for this MCSD title:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mcsd-web-apps-certification.aspx
I must warn you that the MCSA: SQL Server certification will require you to pass the 70-643 exam. It includes content on Microsoft Business Intelligence tools. Specifically, the 70-463 exam requires you to know SQL Server Integration Services
(SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Service (SSAS). Here are the details:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-70-463.aspx
Please know that the MCSA: SQL Server exams are based on SQL Server 2012 and will remain about SQL Server 2012. Only the four (MCSE) exams (two for each MCSE SQL Server title) are going to be updated to SQL Server 2014 in April 24th, 2014. Here are the details
    from Larry Kaye (Microsoft employee):
    http://borntolearn.mslearn.net/btl/b/weblog/archive/2014/03/10/certification-update-sql-server-2014.aspx
    Good luck!

  • Which path of AddOnInstallAPI_x64.dll for 64 bit of SAP B1 9.0?

    Hi Everybody,
Can u explain which path of AddOnInstallAPI_x64.dll for 64 bit of SAP B1 9.0 Version?
Please share the download path for AddOnInstallAPI_x64.dll for 64 bit of SAP B1 9.0 Version.
When am creating ARD fie for 64 bit of SAP B1 9.0 , By Right Click on the Project Properties-->compile-->Advanced Compile Options-->X64.
Once created ARD file, then i opened "C:\Users\User1\Desktop\ARDFile\ARDname\ARDname\ARDname\AddOnRegDataGenFile"
While double click on the "windows Batch file"(AddOnRegDataGen), it automatically generates ARD file and EXE File.
In ARD file, Edit the ARD file--> Change the Platform "N" to "X". whereas EXE file could not change the 64 bit.
Hence the error shows in SAP b1 "Addon exception or "Incorrect string format".
    Please fix this issue ASAP.

  • Windows 7 decide which route to take if THE PC Has 4 connection (4 X 1 Gig) available to internet

    Hi Network experts
realy i need you to figure out the below
1)how windows 7 decide which route to take if  THE PC Has 4 connection (add on 4 X 1 Gig)  available to internet , the route print on windows machine shows the 4
connection with same metric (metric 10) , the adapter order is as follows
    G1,G2,G3.G4
2)what about the less subnet id if each interface has less subnet id than other
3)the built in interface (gig 0) why have metric of 286 not 10 like others
    thank you all

    Hello.
As far as I remember, Windows uses ANY of the routes with equal metric.
I'm not sure if there is publicly available algorithm, but I believe it may switch from one interface to another if experience packet loss on the current.
So, the conclusion is: the outgoing interface is not predictable.
If you want any kind of reliability you would better to create port-channel and use FHRP on your routers.

if you can see the index.jsp page, you have the response else, look your user config file (/conf/tomcat-users.xml) :
If you're seeing this page via a web browser, it means you've setup Tomcat successfully. Congratulations!
As you may have guessed by now, this is the default Tomcat home page. It can be found on the local filesystem at:
    $CATALINA_HOME/webapps/ROOT/index.html
where "$CATALINA_HOME" is the root of the Tomcat installation directory. If you're seeing this page, and you don't think you should be, then either you're either a user who has arrived at new installation of Tomcat, or you're an administrator who hasn't got his/her setup quite right. Providing the latter is the case, please refer to the Tomcat Documentation for more detailed setup and administration information than is found in the INSTALL file.
NOTE: For security reasons, using the administration webapp is restricted to users with role "admin". The manager webapp is restricted to users with role "manager". Users are defined in $CATALINA_HOME/conf/tomcat-users.xml.
Included with this release are a host of sample Servlets and JSPs (with associated source code), extensive documentation (including the Servlet 2.3 and JSP 1.2 API JavaDoc), and an introductory guide to developing web applications.
Tomcat mailing lists are available at the Jakarta project web site:

I need to install my adobe creative suite on a new MAC, which does not take CDs.
    Any clues

Is your CS6 serial number for Windows or Mac? If Windows then you must apply for a platform swap to get a Mac serial number for CS6.
If you already have a CS6 Mac serial number then download CS6 from

  • 10.5/10.6 transition which steps to take depending on what you have.

Disclaimer: Apple does not necessarily endorse any suggestions, solutions, or third-party software products that may be mentioned in the topic below. Many people are asking the question if whether to upgrade to 10.5 or 10.6. It really depends on your situation and what you can afford. This tip will help in that decision making, with various steps to prevent failure:
    1. Regardless of which operating system you choose, making at least two backups that are separate from the computer is highly recommended.
    2. Users with PowerPC Macs can only go up to 10.5.8, if they have at least 867 Mhz (1 Ghz and greater meet that criteria). Dual 800 Mhz do not. Third party software known as LeopardAssist may offer an unsupported means of getting 10.5.
    3. 10.5 is no longer available for online order from Apple, but many online Apple stores have a phone number where you can special request it for an order.
Also many Mac used and refurbished shops may have it. Be sure the 10.5 disc you order is a black color with a pink nebula in the middle. Be sure it does not say Upgrade, DropIn, or OEM. If it has a Mac model number on it, it will not work with your Mac, if your Mac had worked with 10.4.11 or earlier.
    4. You can jump from 10.4 to 10.6 if your Apple hardware and software support it. This user tip explains which Apple hardware do:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2126451
    5. 10.5 does not give Boot Camp to those machines that don't support 10.6.
    6. 10.5 limits your access to Classic, as explained in this user tip:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2176255&tstart=10
    7. 10.5 has these hardware and software known to be compatible with it:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1370
    Intel software, PowerPC software
    8. 10.6 has this hardware known to be compatible with:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669
and this software from links by
    C!Net,
    http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
    http://www.macintouch.com/specialreports/snowleopard/slcompat.html
    9. Used and refurbished Macs can give you a transition until you can afford Snow Leopard, but remember, they have to come with their prebundled discs to ensure you don't miss out on whether or not they are ready for your upgrade needs.
Above all, if you don't see reference your inquiry here, be sure to ask in the appropriate forums on http://discussions.apple.com/ to determine which path gives you the least resistence.
    Good luck!

When you updates, how did you do it? Was it by downloading Firefox from getfirefox.com? Or using the internal updater to update Firefox?
    I'd suggest doing the following:
First make sure Windows is all up to date.
Then, click on Help, and check for updates inside Firefox. Install any updates it finds (It might be Firefox 3.6.28, or Firefox 12)
After installing that update, repeat the Firefox check for updates. After you install a version higher than Firefox 4, you will have to click on About Firefox to check for updates.
If at any time during the update process, Firefox asks to update your add-ons, allow it.
Finally, once you have all your updates installed, go to your Addons manager and check for any updates.

  • Where does HWND information i mean in which path it looks for

    HI,
I using the below code to get information of a webcontrol into the ControlInfo*
     ::SendMessage(hWebControl, WM_GETCONTROLINFO, 0, (LPARAM) pInfo);
From which Path does it Gets the Required Info.?
    vishnu

What do you mean by "From which Path does it Gets the Required Info.?"?
    Windows Data Types
    HWND
    A handle to a
    window.
This type is declared in WinDef.h as follows:
    typedef HANDLE HWND;
In a graphical Windows-based application, a window is a rectangular area of the screen where the application displays output and receives input from the user. Therefore, one of the first tasks of a graphical Windows-based application is to create a window.
A window shares the screen with other windows, including those from other applications. Only one window at a time can receive input from the user. The user can use the mouse, keyboard, or other input device to interact with this window and the application
    that owns it.
    hWnd Property
    Remarks
The Microsoft Windows operating environment identifies each form in an application by assigning it a handle, or
hWnd. The hWnd property is used with Windows API calls. Many Windows operating environment functions require the
hWnd of the active window as an argument.
Because the value of this property can change while a program is running, you cannot rely on its value (e.g., when stored in a variable).
hWnd is available in user-defined Forms and Toolbar objects and is read-only at both run and design-time.

here's what the documentation says about a table created with the NOLOGGING clause:
"Specify NOLOGGING if you do not want these operations to be logged.
For a nonpartitioned object, the value specified for this clause is the actual physical attribute of the segment associated with the object."
I read that to mean that segment information is not logged. I don't see where it says that inserts are not logged.
And my testing on versions 9, 10.1 and 10.2 have shown that normal inserts to a table created with nologging mode will generate the same amount of redo as inserts to a table created with logging mode.
Using APPEND will drastically reduce the amount of redo generated. Here's some of my findings showing the amount of redo (in bytes) generated for different methods:
    v10.2.0.3.0

    t( a number, b number)
    insert 50,000 rows per test

That 418 seconds - not the hours you reported earlier. Is it possible that your connection to the database broke ?
On a typical system, by the way, you can usually turn one direct read for tablescan into 1MB, so your scan seems to have covered about 59 GB, which seems to be in the right sort of ballpark for 130M rows.
we have another query and when we test the query execution using v$sql, is_bind_sensitive =N, how to make is_bind_sensitive=Y all the time.. There is a hint /*+ bind_aware */ - I'd have to check whether or not it's documented at present. It might help.
I would be interested in hearing why you think the hint should be bind sensitive when the optimizer doesn't.

  • Which track to take for DBA OCA:    11g     or     12c?

    Hi,
I want to do become an Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate (OCA).
Which of the 2 options should I take?  11g or 12c?
I am actually a developer (Forms & PL/SQL) trying to become a DBA.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards

I want to do become an Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate (OCA).
I am actually a developer (Forms & PL/SQL) trying to become a DBA.
Why? How will having an OCA certification bring you closer to your goal?
Which of the 2 options should I take?  11g or 12c?
    Take the 12c path -
    1. that is where everything 'Oracle' is headed.
    2. companies will be increasingly upgrading/installing 12c as time goes by
    3. people will knowledge about 12c will be more and more in demand as time goes by
    4. people will knowledge about 11c will be less and less sin demand as time goes by
    5. the 12c knowledge you gain will become more and more useful to others (e.g. DBAs and your manager) at your company as they consider when, or if, to upgrade their databases to 12c.
    6. 12c knowledge will likely make you more valuable to your current company even before you get your certification. Managers like people that take the initiative to learn something new especially if that 'something new' is a skill that will be useful to the company.
    7. the exam costs for 12c is the same as for 11g
      For 11g see - http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=458&get_params=p_track_id:Datab11g
      For 12c see - http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=458&get_params=p_track_id:DBOCA12C
    8. you can freely download and install 12c for learning and practice just as you can 11g
The only downside I can think of is that there are fewer people you can turn to for help with any 12c-specific questions or issues you may run into. But there are plenty of books and online tutorials/articles that cover the bulk of those.

  • Java Application [Java Bundler]: how I can use an image? Which path?

    Hi,
how I can use an image in my Java Application when I create the jar bundle with Jar Bundler? Which is the path of the file? I don't know if I got it across...

By image, do you mean an icon for your program?
If so, then you need to create the image you want using any graphical drawing program, then use a utility such as Img2icns to put the image into the correct format (.icns). Once you have this, you can drag it into Jar Bundler and IIRC it just works.
