Which pin to measure vCore on MS-7125?

I think I found it (shows 1.621v on digi MM with bios set to 1.62v) but it is strange, top of pin looks like correct vcore, bottom of pin reads 1.585v.  Each end of the pin shows uber-stable voltage (~0.001v).  now I have the case closed but IIRC, it's in the top row of pins at the top edge of the board, directly north of the CPU, third pin from the right if facing the board. Correct pin?
thanks in advance

B&G,
I do not have a 7125 but the links below depict where to find Vcore and Vddr on a 7025. Your set up should be similar.
Look here for Vcore location: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=23902&stc=1
Be extremely carefull taking Vcore readings at that location, pin shown will be Vcore, short stubby pin next to it (middle) carries 12 volts, and the one next to it carries your Vddr voltages (2.xx Volts). Shorting any two of these pins together will ruin your day and your motherboard.
You can also obtain Vddr from here: http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=583463
This location is a bit safer since pins next to it do not carry different voltages.
Good luck,

  • Which pins are which?

I'm using the parts of a spare usb cable and a couple of pieces so that I can plug into the bottom and get the line-out feed.
The problem isn't how to do it, but which pins are which. I've found diagrams that say it's the same for all ipods, but it's hard confirming. A multi-meter barely registers anything because even if you try to measure any AC current, line level is so low that it's hard to pick up much.
I connected pins to the line out displayed in the diagram, and I've tested the continuity to ensure that the signal goes from one end to the other, but nothing audible comes through.

I've tested the continuity to ensure that the signal goes from one end to the other, but nothing audible comes through.
    How are you testing it?
Line level is only ~1 volt so you need headphones or and amp. If you are plugging it into a speaker, you won’t hear much, if anything.

  • Build the Bar chart from Cross Tab which have 3 measures with cell refr.cal

Hello Friends. I want to Build the Bar chart from Cross Tab which have 3 measures with Actual , Plan and Forecast
But Issue here is each cell is defferent like i have to do different calculation for each cell for actual, plan, forecast
    like A = Jan act/Budget actual, Where as B = Feb Act/ Jan Budg+Febbdgt_March Budget
So now when I right click to say turn to Chart it is not generating the chart
Please help how to build bar chart since i do not have 1 key figure which i can drag and drop in view structure of chart so how to handle this
Jan,  Feb, March, Aprl, May, June
    Actual                  A       B       C     D
    Plan                     N       M       O     P
    Forecast
    SONIYA

    Hi Soniya,
It will be better if you can get these keyfigures calculated from the BEx with the help of structures in the BEx.
At the report level it will be complex to create these variables and also not sure whether going to work:
But you can try something like this:
A= If (L01 Moths="JAN") then Sum (Actual)/Sum (Bud) Else 0 similarly for other months.
Then you need to create one more variable (measure) which should be plotted on the chart as:
    Final Act = If([L01 Month]="JAN") Then A ElseIf([L01 Month]="FEB") Then B ElseIf([L01 Month]="MAR") Then C
    Final Plan= If([L01 Month]="JAN") Then N ElseIf([L01 Month]="FEB") Then M ElseIf([L01 Month]="MAR") Then O
similarly you have to create variables for Forecast, then finally you can plot final 3 variables in the graph.
    Hope it helps you.
    Regards,
    Rohit

  • Which pins do I use for 5V output of a CB 50-LP connector block ?

I have the PCI-6025E and the CB-50 LP. I am trying to determine which pins are used to get a 5V output to connect my load cell to. As I understand, there are a set of pins for 5V and a set of pins for 10V. Also is this a continuous output or do I have to be running LabView?
    Thank You,

CB-50 LP is not included in the accessory list available for 6025E in DAQmx. All reference pdf listed for CB-50 LP are less than helpful http://sine.ni.com/nips/nisearchservlet?nistype=psrelcon&nid=13591&lang=F&q=FQLlocale:fr+OR+locale:e...).

  • Reset button is broken.  Which pins do I short to reset my Airport Extreme to factory defaults?

I'm working on a 4th Generation Airport Extreme A1354.  I do not know the password and I was not able to perform the software, hardware, or factory default reset procedures.  (I never got the fast blinking amber light.)
I suspected a broken reset switch and took the gray cover off to find the reset button was indeed broken.  Upon slight maneuvering, the button fell off the board.
I think I can perform a factory default reset by jumpering where the reset switch was.  Which pins do I short to perform the factory default procedure without the reset button working?
Trying to upload pictures that show my issue.

I don't often work on extreme.. mostly Time Capsule.. but the switch is surface mount.. no pins go through the board.. you will need to lift the board right out of the frame, (it all comes out in one piece and is fairly easy to do).. and you will need to short the two pins right at the switch .. but hopefully with it right out the switch itself will become accessible.

  • Constant Current Measurement VI.Which pins to use?

I have got the constant current measurement vi from the examples portion of LABVIEW 6.0.I have got NI-DAQ 6024E and it's connector block CB-68LP.I have left the default parameters as it is of channel & device.I read the input current values on pins 68 & 67 but they are not accurate.Infact, they are too far from the actual values.I've a potentiometer of variable resistance which I use in series of this circuit. The Rs shown on front panel makes no difference to the readings.
Also, is there any way I can increase the current limit of this program?
I'm attaching the VI I have used.

Is your DAQ card setup for differential input? If it is, you're using the wrong ground reference. You want to use pins 68 and 34 (AI0 is positive (68), AI8 is negative (34)).
This is most likely your problem.

    i really need straight answers
The power button and keyboard are 2 separate things. I suspect that your Mac has water damage and that is why the power button has now failed.
You could take it apart and find the connections to the power button and RIG up another Momentary Contact switch to activate it.
Or you could just take it in to be fixed and then be more carefull with it.

  • How do you measure frequency using the onboard counter on PCMCIA 6024-E

I am using LABView 6.1 and NI-DAQ 7.2 with a SCXI-1000 chassis and a PCMCIA 6024-E on a laptop. I need to measure a frequency of about 3KHz and would like to do that using an 1180 direct through connector.
Firstly, should I see this 1180 in MAX like any other module?
And secondly, how do I use this 6024-E card to measure frequency? Which pins are supposed to be used on it to measure, and will I see the counter run in the test window in MAX according to the frequency measured?
I know NI also have a frequency module for the SCXI chassis. So lastly, will it be better to use that, rather than measure directly off the 6024-E?
Any help, advise or comments will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Hello,
I think I can help out with some of your questions. First, the 1180 module wont show up in MAX since it is really just a feedthrough cable which allows you access to your unused signals from the DAQ card.
You definitely can measure frequency using your 6024E. An example installs with NI-DAQ 7.2 which shows how to accomplish this. To access this example go to the LabVIEW start up screen and hit the Find Example button. When the Example Finder opens up browse to the following location: Hardware Input and Output -> DAQ -> Counters -> DAQ-STC -> Measure Frequency (DAQ-STC).vi
This example measures frequency and has a connection diagram on the front panel. The documentation for the example can be accessed by going to File -> VI properties -> Document
ation, after you have opened the VI.
You are correct that we offer a frequency input module for SCXI (SCXI-1126). This module would be useful if your input voltages are non-TTL, or if you need to measure more than one channel of frequency signals. This module has an input range of +/- 250Vrms and 8 input channels.
I hope this helps! Let me know if there is anything I can help with or clarify.

  • Wiring a SCB-68 to measure the frequency of a TTL pulse signal

Sorry if this is a basic question but could someone please help me and tell me how to wire up a SCB-68 connector block (connected to a AT-MIO-16 DAQ board) so that I can measure the frequency count of a series TTL pulses (signal from photon counting). At the moment I don't understand how the PFI1-9 connections are related to the GPCTR0/GPTR1 counter connections on the block and how they're all realted to the source, gate and out 1-5 connections on the DAQ board.
Ultimately I want to be able to put this measured frequency into a Labview program with a controllable gate period.
    Thanks in advance
    Nick

You might want to search the Knowledge Base on the NI's Support Pages for "Cable Mapping for a 68 Pin Connector to a 50 Pin Connector". This should take you to a link that will explain the mapping of a 50way to 68way cable and subsequent lines you are looking for ( reference sub link 68F50M), I guess you have SH6850 cable connected from the AT-MIO16 card to the SCB-68.
Please check out the information about the pin outs, that should help you work out which pins map to the counters, eg GPCTR0_source would be pin 37 on your SCB-68

  • Resistance measurement using PCI-6602

    Hello,
I would like to measure the resistance between 2 points using my PCI-6602 counter/timer card while using LabVIEW. The resistance values to be measured will vary between 10 ohms and 1000 ohms approximately.
I found three examples in LabVIEW example finder for measuring resistance but am not sure which one to use. Moreover, which pins of the PCI-6602 would be used for measuring the resistance?
Please advise me how I could use this PCI-6602 card for measuring resistance values and what the pin configuration would be.
    Thank you,
    Viktoriya.

As you have written, the PCI-6602 is a counter/timer board. It has no analog input and is not suited for analog measurements !

  • Large signal output capacitance measurements

    Hello everyone,
I am working on a power amplifier and I want to measure output capacitance under large signal condition. I use nonlinear model of GaN power transistor.
Output power is around 36 dBm, f=8.2 GHz
    I tried two methods:
    1) I changed Vgs bias from -6V to 1V, Vds=28V. I use C_PRC solver under Linear Tab to find parallel capacitance at the output. I obtained a graph which changes 0.3pF to 0.5pF. In this simulation I dont use impedance tuner, just ports (50ohm) and biasing sources.
    2) amplifier is biased at 28V and 125mA. Then I drive amplifier with from 20dBm to 30dBm input power. In this simulation I used HBTUNERs for maximum power output (25dBm input power) at the input and output. I can see there is a change for capacitance at the input vs changing input power. however at the output, output capacitance is constant and 0.52pF. I am measuring the capacitance from transistors drain, before tuner. I use large signal Y parameter measurement solver and calculate the capacitance.
The interesting thing, I can meause input capacitance change easly for large signal, but output capacitance is constant!
    I have two questions:
    1) Why are three measurements different?
    2) For large signal measurements, for example; 30dBm output means 30V peak to peak, 40dBm output means 50V peak to peak. So there is a big capacitance change during a period. When I measure the large signal solver, does solver use high peak values? if yes, can I change it to low peak value?
    3) can we use gamma probes for large signals?
    Thanks

    Thank you mohi_kh and ryanawr.
You are totally right and example is very good, but for these measurements can only be carried out from a PORT. I need the capacitance at the transistor output. There is a tuner between PORT and transistor. As you know if I dont use impedance matcher, gain and input impedance change...
When I remove the tuner and change PORT's impedance as same impedance seen from tuner to PORT, gain changed because of harmonics terminations.
I also tried YCOMP measurement at MainFrequency+0.001 (I selected transistor output pin for measurement) and convert it to capacicante by equations. As you see, graph is irregular around 24dBm input power. May it be correct?
I tried to measure S22 from output port as attached, and S22 is positive maybe I am doing something wrong, I am still working on it. anyway it isnt useful for me. I need the impedance at the transistor output.

  • VCore over 1.550 + 10% does not post to end; Winchester and Corecenter voltage issues

I can't get vcore more than 1.64 using my winchester. It does not help to use for example 1.500 + 15% either. I've tried 1.36b and 1.41mod bioses. With corecenter I can use vcore up to 1.800 just fine. Temperature of the water or of the case has no effect.
Now I''m stuck with 1.65 (changes btw 1.63-1.65 in bios and Speedfan) when I use 1.550+10% (which should be 1.7 but it isn't).
Is there some other program with which I could change vcore in windows except Corecenter? I could up fsb and vcore automatically during xp login. Corecenter is also a funny program as it ups the voltage upside down :D.. When I put + it lowers vcore and when - it ups it. So 0% gives 1.80 measured with Speed fan and it is quite stable.
Perhaps a bios update will fix this or is there any other solution? I know that Winchesters only can get 1.7 from this board (but it isn't even that but ~1.64) but a program like Clockgen (which does not work with voltage on this board) would correct all problems.
