Which port is need on Linksys QuickVPN access

I want to set up the VPN service  on remote site but it site have only one public IP available.I  think can I set up the self own Linksys RV042 router in the ISP  provided router LAN port and ask ISP use port forwarding to my Linksys  RV042 router. So I want to know which port is need on using Linksys  QuickVPN to access RV042 VPN client-access. Are there are port 443 and  port 60443?
It  is existing setup on ISP Router
LAN: 192.168.1.1/24
WAN: only one  public IP provided
I will set own RV042
LAN: 172.16.0.1/24
WAN:  192.168.1.50/24 & gateway 192.168.1.1
& ask ISP set port forwarding on  ISP provided router forward port 443 & 60443 to 192.168.1.50
Is it  possible to provide VPN access to RV042?

Ive got a WRT54GS v6  - Firmware 1.52.5
Ive run out of port forward slots, Ive tried to use the port triggering but it always says
"port forwarded range is overlapping with other port trigger records"
Ive checked and no ports are overlapping, one person suggested that I try just using the forward slot instead of the trigger slot as well. When I click save changes it says succesful but then when it returns to the port trigger page everything is blank. no changes made.
Everything has worked fine until this, im trying to get EA Games "Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3" to work online but the router is not co-operating very well.

  • Which ports are needed for SAP HANA Studio - HANA DB communication?

I want to connect SAP HANA Studio to a HANA instance. The HANA instance number is 40.
The SAP note 1592925 states that the ports 5$$13/5$$14 and 3$$15 should be open to allow communication between the HANA Studio and the HANA database. Do I need to open any other ports to make HANA Studio work with HANA DB?
    Regards,
    Mark

    Hi Mark,
The HANA Studio connects to HANA DB Instance with JDBC on port 3<Instance number>15.
For your HDB with Instance Number 40, the port would be 34015.
HANA Studio will automatically assign the JDBC port number when you assign the instance number when you add new system.
Looking at the error message that you posted:
    !ENTRY com.sap.ndb.studio.navigator 4 1 2012-01-16 14:01:40.627
!MESSAGE [HDB hostname 40 (SYSTEM)] Error on refreshing system
It looks like the hostname entry was not entered correctly (you might have entered "hostname" value when adding the system in HANA Studio).
Here is an example of correct log entry on DCA database instance on hanasvr-01 server with Instance number 00:
    !ENTRY com.sap.ndb.studio.navigator 4 1 2012-01-10 13:55:23.598
    !MESSAGE [DCA hanasvr-01 00 (SYSTEM)]
You may want to delete and re-add your HDB instance in your HANA Studio.
    Regards,
    Ferry

  • JDBC Driver com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver - which port?

    Hi
We are trying to connect to an AS400 from SAP XI 3.0 using JDBC.
    I am currently getting a Connection Timeout error;
Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:as400://xxxxxDEV;Fxxxxx.LIB/Fxxxxx.LIB' using the JDBC driver 'com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection to URL 'jdbc:as400://xxxxxDEV;Fxxxxx.LIB/Fxxxxx.LIB': SQLException: The application requester cannot establish the connection. (Connection timed out: connect)'
Can anyone tell me how to find which Port this is trying to connect on?
We already have successful connections to a different AS400 within our own network, so there is no issues with the driver not being deployed in XI.
    Thanks in advance.

What are the JDBC settings in CC? The DB that you are trying to connect, have the same dbs version of AS400 that successful connected?

  • Which port number to use in remote site definition? [was:Help!]

I recently upgraded from Dreamweaver 8 to Dreamweaver cs6.  I'm having trouble accessing my website because I dont know which port to choose.  I never had to choose a port in Dreamweaver 8.  How does one decide which port to use?  Do you just keep picking random numbers until you get one that works?

Generally, the port next to your FTP address in the site definition will be 21 by default.
If that isn't working, you'll need to contact your hosting company to see if they use something else.

  • List of ports that need to be opened?

    Hi,
A customer is using a citrix client to log on to their citrix server, which is running a B1 client. They are getting errors in relation to the connection to the licence server failing, even though they have opened the port (30000) in question to allow access.
Do you have a list of ports/are there any other ports as standard that need to be opened for the client install to connect to the license server?
    Thanks.

  • Which ports are used by XE

    Hi,
right now I am testing XE on a fresh installed SuSE-10 machine without any firewall, because the machine has no connection to the internet. But when I start the firewall, which ports should I keep open for XE? Only 1521 and 8080 (when I accept the defaults during installation)???

It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Probably port 8080 ...
Understand that Oracle provides a listener that serves several functions, but is in essence the same as inetd ... the listener listens on behalf of services and then tells the service and the requestor to connect.
For the baseline database service, the listener watches on port 1521 for a network-based request. When received, the listener tells the database service and the requestor to 'go play elsewhere'. (This is not the case for a bequeath request - within the local machine - which is why "sqlplus / as sysdba" does not even need the listener up.)
If you plan on allowing Oracle Networking requests from other machines (Java, sqlplus, .Net, etc) you will need to allow ports other than 1521.
The listener also listens on one or more ports for the Enterprise PL/SQL Gateway that provides http, ftp and OraDAV access. The default for this in XE is port 8080, although you can change that by calling the appropriate procedure [dbms_xdb.sethttpport(8080)]
If you plan on supporting HTMLDB connections, opening 8080 (or whatever you set) is required.
On my machine, using the lsof command, I note that
    - when the listener is down, the database has one socket open looking for listener
    - when listener is up, a port is assigned, presumably for the DB<->listener communication
.... this results in two handles on the selected, but random, port
    - making an http htmldb request to login page opens the http-alt (8080) port
.... if from a local browser, it results in 2 handles
.... if from a remote browser, it results in one handle on the XE machine
    - logging in releases that port
    - making a SQLPlus connection opens a random port
.... if from a local host, results in two handles
.... if from a remote host, results in one handle.
    The following lsof has:
    - 1 local & 1 remote sqlnet, both using TCP
    - 1 local sqlnet using bequeath
    - 1 local HTTP access
    - listener is up
    host:/home/pop2 # lsof -T s -i 4TCP -a -u oraclexe

  • E4200 - SIP ports blocked to/from Linksys SPA2102 VoIP ATA

The E4200 seems to block UDP ports to/from a Linksys SPA2102 ATA VoIP adapter.  I tried enabling SIP ALG and still lost dial tone by morning. I tried looking at the Admin logs to see which inbound / outbound ports are being blocked but the log functions on this router only seems to display outbound information with no specifics as to what ports or protocols are being blocked by the E4200.
Does anyone on this forum know what configurations to change on the E4200 to allow the transparent operation of the SPA2102 VoIP ATA behind it?
Any hope Cisco will fix the log functions to display useable and meaningful information needed to setup Application specific configurations?

  • Which ports to open in PIX for outgoing Cisco VPN client connections ?

I have Cisco vpn clients behind the PIX and i want them to connect to a vpn 3005 which i behind another PIX . Can anybody tell me which ports i have to open on both the PIX firewalls ?

It depends on how you have deployed your VPN Remote Access users.
By default, if you enable IPSec-Over-TCP or IPSec-over-UDP, then port 10000 is used for both, these methods are Cisco Proprietary and can be changed.
If you use NAT-T (NAT Traversal), the Standards-based implementation, then it uses UDP-4500).
either way, the operation of the VPN depends on:
    1) Whether these service have been enable on the VPN Concentrator
    2) Enabling the relevant transport settings on the VPN Client connection Properties.
Regarding the PIX infront of the VPNC3005, you will need to allow these above ports inbound to your VPNC3005 Public interface.
Locally, it depends if you filter outbound connections through your PIX. If you don't, then the PIX will allow the connection for the VPN Client attempting to access the remote VPNC3005

  • New which ports to use.

    Hi
I was wondering which port to use, and how many are there, also would it be OK to set all programs with ANY port, or do certain programs need certain ports and are some faster than others?
    George

Applications that communicate via system ports have that information embedded in the program. You should not make changes as this could cause applications to stop working properly.
If you are trying to protect your computer from outside access then use the built-in firewall via the Security preferences. Through the firewall you can specifically block ports from unauthorized access.
LittleSnitch is a diagnostic tool. It is intended mainly to allow programmers to monitor communication information in order to better design their programs. It also can be used to detect unauthorized access to the computer if it's believed that there is such activity and to find out from where the access has originated. It is not intended as a user application.

I want to be able to totally block the FaceTime functionality in my home network so my 4 kids aren't using the Facetime feature- It was easy for Skype just had to enter the work Skype on my Router Security list- and it denies access. I would like to do this at the router level for FaceTime? Only site I find in init.ess.apple.com - is this the startup site for Facetime?   Does anyone know a site I can block, hostname or IP address that the FaceTime application uses? Or which port it connects to?

I would presume so, but it might be worth your while to experiment and play around with different combinations to see if you can block FaceTime while keeping Game Center open.  Good luck!
