  • V.02 use different RFC connection

    Hello all,
We have a situation that when a user executes V.02 in R3 and then clicks on an incomplete Sales Document it jumps to the SCM system to do an APO Availability Check.  The problem is that it uses a RFC connection with a system user and when you are in the SCM system you've got full access.  Is there a way to force V.02 to use a specific RFC connection to jump to SCM so I can set that RFC connection to use current user and log into SCM as the same user that's logged into R3?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    > 2.2  Yes, I would like to setup a new RFC connection to SCM and set as a trusted RFC connection with current user but how do I force V.02 to use that specific RFC connection and not one that used for job...extractions..etc that has the system user in it?
There must be config which is calling the RFC function using a destination to the SCM system. Normally I just debug the call and look to see where the rfcdes value is coming from. I have also seen it hardcoded on a few occations using sy-sysid - also a form of config, even if a rather hollow one...
Personally I would try to group them into usage cases, and not necessarily "modules" or anything like that.
    > 1. Dont want to restrict the RFC user as it's used for jobs, extractions...etc.
    This is a nice example.

  • Which ports oracle use for replication..

    Hi All,
I want to know which ports orcale use for replication.plz reply me quickly.
    Thanx in advance

This is configurable. By default, listeners will run on port 1521, but sites can specify multiple and/or different ports. Depending on the OS of the database, connections made on that initial port may be redirected to a different port (Windows) or may do all the communication on the listener port (Unix). Windows databases can be configured to do all communication on the listener port, though there may be a performance impact to doing so.

  • New which ports to use.

    Hi
I was wondering which port to use, and how many are there, also would it be OK to set all programs with ANY port, or do certain programs need certain ports and are some faster than others?
    George

Applications that communicate via system ports have that information embedded in the program. You should not make changes as this could cause applications to stop working properly.
If you are trying to protect your computer from outside access then use the built-in firewall via the Security preferences. Through the firewall you can specifically block ports from unauthorized access.
LittleSnitch is a diagnostic tool. It is intended mainly to allow programmers to monitor communication information in order to better design their programs. It also can be used to detect unauthorized access to the computer if it's believed that there is such activity and to find out from where the access has originated. It is not intended as a user application.

  • Which ports are used by XE

    Hi,
right now I am testing XE on a fresh installed SuSE-10 machine without any firewall, because the machine has no connection to the internet. But when I start the firewall, which ports should I keep open for XE? Only 1521 and 8080 (when I accept the defaults during installation)???

It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Probably port 8080 ...
Understand that Oracle provides a listener that serves several functions, but is in essence the same as inetd ... the listener listens on behalf of services and then tells the service and the requestor to connect.
For the baseline database service, the listener watches on port 1521 for a network-based request. When received, the listener tells the database service and the requestor to 'go play elsewhere'. (This is not the case for a bequeath request - within the local machine - which is why "sqlplus / as sysdba" does not even need the listener up.)
If you plan on allowing Oracle Networking requests from other machines (Java, sqlplus, .Net, etc) you will need to allow ports other than 1521.
The listener also listens on one or more ports for the Enterprise PL/SQL Gateway that provides http, ftp and OraDAV access. The default for this in XE is port 8080, although you can change that by calling the appropriate procedure [dbms_xdb.sethttpport(8080)]
If you plan on supporting HTMLDB connections, opening 8080 (or whatever you set) is required.
On my machine, using the lsof command, I note that
    - when the listener is down, the database has one socket open looking for listener
    - when listener is up, a port is assigned, presumably for the DB<->listener communication
.... this results in two handles on the selected, but random, port
    - making an http htmldb request to login page opens the http-alt (8080) port
.... if from a local browser, it results in 2 handles
.... if from a remote browser, it results in one handle on the XE machine
    - logging in releases that port
    - making a SQLPlus connection opens a random port
.... if from a local host, results in two handles
.... if from a remote host, results in one handle.
    The following lsof has:
    - 1 local & 1 remote sqlnet, both using TCP
    - 1 local sqlnet using bequeath
    - 1 local HTTP access
    - listener is up

  • Which port to use for the peer-keep alive

    Hi All,
We have 2 Nexus 6001s in our data center.
The management port of each 6001 is connected to the other and this link is used as the peer keep alive link.
My colleague is suggesting that we use one of the inline data ports as the keep alive link.
Can you please advise on the pros and cons of using management/inline port as keep live link and the best practise to follow in this case?
    Thanks,
    Pete

    Hi Pete,
Here are the best recommendation in order of preference.
    1. Use mgmt0 (along with management traffic)
         * Pros: whats good on this option is you are totally separating the VPC Peer keepalive link on another VRF (management) and does not mingle with the data or global vrf..
         * Cons: VPC PKL is dependent on the OOB management switch.
    2. Use dedicated 1G/10GE front panel ports.
        * Pros - can just be a direct link between the N6K pair and not dependent on other boxes.
        * Cons - you need extra SFPs for VPC PKL while the VPC PKL traffic join the global VRF.

  • Which ports PI uses?

    Hi experts!
In my work the IT people want to put a firewall and I want to know wich ports PI uses, like 21 for FTP, 80 for HTTP, etc..
Do you know wich port need to be open?
    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi Matias Peralta,
Based on your request I understand that you organization going to setup a firewall and you can expose some ports like 433, 4022 etc as per availability to Trading partners.
Port mapping should be done in thefirewall configuration as your web dispatcher port(This information can be obtained from your basis team / will be managed at the installation time / netweaver administration.)
80* series is for ABAP ports and 50* series i sfor JAVA port.
    PI ports
The ports are created from 50000100*instance_number20n*5port_index, where n is the number of server elements from 0 to 15 and port_index is from 0 to 4.
Note: Good practice is not to expose actuall ports to trading partners due to security reason.

  • Which Ports to use?

I am kinda new to skype and don't know a lot about it. So i was just going through the options and stuffs ...and under the ''Advanced'' tab there's ''connection''..and it has a lot of options.. like ''use port ..for incoming connections'' ''enable upnp''. So can someone please help me what to do with these options or should i just keep them the way they are? And if i modify these ...will my skype video calls become faster? As sometimes, my video calls lags. So i'm just looking for ways to make it faster by modifying some skype options maybe? Like if i change the port to some other numbers..will it make my calls faster? Or should i check/uncheck the upnp thing?  PS. I have a very fast internet. So i want skype to use the most of it.

    William,
If you want to connect your printer to to your network (or ethernet adapter), try this
    http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=322
it will connect to your parallel port.
BUT Call DLink tech support to confirm that it supports your printer model before you buy one.
