Which programs will be included in Creative Cloud?

There seems to be a lot of confusion over which programs will be included in the Creative Cloud subscription.  Can anyone clarify?

Thanks Kim, that much I knew.
That page says: "Access to the entire portfolio of Adobe Creative Suite desktop tools, as well as the six Adobe Touch Apps announced at MAX. That means customers will get every tool that is currently in Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, such as Adobe Photoshop®, InDesign®, Illustrator®, Dreamweaver®, Adobe Premiere® Pro, and After Effects®, as well as innovative new tools that are currently in beta, such as Adobe Edge and Muse."
But it doesn't mention what will happen with programs that aren't currently part of the Master Collection - Captivate, Lightroom, Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements, to name a few that spring to mind.
Unfortunately all of these announcements are lacking rather a lot of detail, and I was hoping someone closer to the Creative Cloud might have a little more information.  Lightroom has been answered by another source, but I'd love to know about the others, particularly Captivate.
No worries, I guess it'll all come out in the wash eventually!

Newly installed Acrobat will NOT open from Creative Cloud app on Desktop using Windows 7 Pro - what's the problem?

the cc desktop app is used to install and update cc programs (and a few other thinigs).  but that does not include 'opening' the installed programs.
click your start button or your program files directory to find the acrobat executable to launch acrobat (and any of your other apps, adobe or otherwise).

  • How can I flush/repair installed programs in the Application Manager / Creative Cloud?

Hi. I had installed a few of the Adobe programs through the Application Manager/Creative Cloud service on a Windows 7 system. The system crashed, forcing me to recover from a prior time backup, which was from before I installed the programs. Now, the Adobe Application Manager shows the prior programs as "Installed", and will not allow me to re-install them. These programs *do not* appear in Window's "Uninstall Programs" listing for me to uninstall manually, *nor* do they appear in the Start Menu to launch. And as far as I can tell, they no longer have Registry entries.
How do I flush the Application Manager to tell it that I do not have these programs installed anymore, or force it to re-install?
    Thanks.

I don't believe the data on what is installed and what is not is held at Adobe; I think it is in your particular instance of the AAM that "knows" what is installed.
I'm not sure what happened to me will help you or not but... Also, I have a Mac not a Win7 system.
In my case, I had Acrobat X Pro and I download Acrobat XI. Acrobat does not like to install when there is an older version already on the machine. Adobe tells you to unistall the older version and then install the new version. Why this isn't in their install scripts is beyond me. The installer for Acrobat XI ran sucessfully. I didn't realize the problem until I went to open a PDF.
I manually uninstalled Acrobat X. Still had problems. Then I manually uninstalled Acrobat XI. (Both times I used the uninstaller Adobe provides.) I started AAM and it showed the XI installed. I tried the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool. The tool is supposed to clear out any left overs after an uninstall and thus "flush" AAM. When I ran the Cleaner, Acrobat XI didn't show up in the list of programs. I eventually found a second uninstaller for Acrobat XI that cleaned things up such that AAM agreed I needed to install the software.
With the disk-based installs, when you ran the installer you got an option to "repair" the current installation. Why you have to jump through all the hoops that AAM has not is beyond me. It would seem more rational to put options into AAM directly to let you re-install things or repair them. This is one where Adobe dropped the ball.

I bought Creative Cloud with the purpose of using Lightroom 5 but after it downloaded the setup page started and asked for a serial number which does not come with the creative cloud membership and the only other option is for a trial period (obviously not what I want). What is going on? I need Lightroom 5 and Creative cloud was the only way to get it and now I cannot use it. Help?

How does one obtain specific fonts and are they included in Creative Cloud?

What fonts? There's a whole slew of fonts available with typeKit, which is included in CC, but specific fonts may still require to be bought individually from the respective type foundries.

  • Lightroom included in Creative Cloud? Timing?

I'm asking a question that has been asked before, but with no response! WHEN is Lightroom going to be included in Creative Cloud. I am using a trial version of LR 4.1 and have only 7 days to go. I do NOT want to purchase LR and find that all of a sudden it is included in Creative Could. Please, Adobe, a definitive answer. Thank you!

Victoria, you're absolutely right about the post.
However, Adobe should make some sort of overture to people who have bought into the Creative Cloud and want to have LR4 as well. After all, they announced that it is coming SOON. That leaves people like me out on a limb not knowing where to turn. Should I spend the money (waste is the proper word!) to upgrade from version 3 or should I just let the trial version expire and wait until they finally added to CC. Adobe should give their customers a little guidance!
