Which setting takes priority??

I have an user base of 500 users.I do not want to schedule the reports.
All the users will open the reports and view the data.
Since there are 500 users they do not want the users to hit the database 500 times.
They want to make use of the Cache TImeout Setting in the properties of the Webi Processing server.
So as long as the users are passing the same prompt values it will fetch the same data from the cache.
Say if the Cache Timeout Setting is set to 60 minutes.This will mean that for one hour if any user passes the same prompts he is going to get the same data from the cache and it will NOT go back to the database to refresh the query.
The problem or question here is:How do I make use of this Cache Timeout Setting in a webi report ?
To elaborate...
If the user just opens a report(since it is not a scheduled report) he will see a blank report .
I can check the box "Refresh on Open" and it will go back to the database and refresh and show data on the report.
What happens to the Cache Timeout Setting value then? Does the Refresh on Open overide the Cache Timeout Setting then?
Will that value still be honored or will not be because it is refresh on open.
Which settign takes priority here.

Covering 100% of Reports trough webi Caching is a big chalenge .. so far i know there is no Physical cahing for Webi it s only Memory caching. To cover that for 500 Users every 60 minutes for N Reports .. I m not sure if it s the right way ..
do the users realy need 60 Minutes young data or would they be satisfied with daily reports. in this case i would consider distributing reports daily via Email. If the reports has to be persinalized u could burst them also ..

what the setting that you defined in Material Master MRP3 view would be the first Priority,
than MRP Group parameters.
Normally system check the parameter /setting for consumption mode in Material Master . if no setting is made in that , then system consider the Mrp group.

When syncing apps from iPhone to computer which takes priority?

I spent time in iTunes arranging my apps. I then did an apply and the phone synced with the computer. What was on the phone replaced what was on the computer rather than the reverse. So all my re-arranging of my apps was lost. How do you control which one takes priority? Thanks!

I created a new user on my macbook and tried to authorize the computer but got the same authorization error. This doesn't have to do with the fact that I have once used a different iTunes account? The video/audio display settings should set automatically for the best your TV can handle (720p AppleTV2, 1080p AppleTV3).
The download resolution for rentals or playback of purchases from the cloud is set in settings for iTunes store.
Sounds as though you have slow internet. For near instant streaming of video from iTunes store you need around:
Standard Definition     2.5 Mbps
720p HD                    6 Mbps
1080p HD                  8 Mbps
Any slower for a given quality setting and the movie has to buffer as it can't keep up in real time. This might be a few minutes if close to the rated speed or many hours, even overnight.
As pcd251s suggests you could test internet speed (speedtest.net on a computer for example). If that is fine, sometimes the LAN if on wifi can be extremely slow in certain locations - ethernet connections would troubleshoot that.
Slow internet is the common issue here. AppleTV does not have permanent storage and using it to play other content or browse trailers while a rental is buffering can reset the buffering process.   In such cases you might be better off planning in advance, renting in iTunes, letting the whole thing FULLY download and it will then be available across teh LAN to stream from computer to AppleTV under Computers>iTunes library name>Rentals.

How to set the priority for Commit Server?

I want to know how to set up the priority for committing documents.
I'm having two different odc applications and i want to commit documents belongs to one application (URGENT) as soon as it has complete the indexing. (I'm running commit server every second for this (URGENT) application).
But once the commit server start to commit batches belongs to one application it continues until finishes, and then only it switch to the URGENT application even though indexed documents are there.I have tested with batch priority, Batch status fields in commit server.
What is exactly happen in setting batch priority ?
How do i switch commit serve to run urgent batches (which is belongs to another application) as soon as indexed??
I can use ODC or ODDC.

Set Bandwidth Priority by MAC Addresses on RV016 is it possible?

Thank you to take some of your time to read me and maybe answer me.
I currently have the following network structure, which work fine:
The only bandwidth management configuration I did in the Cisco E1000 router is to set the QOS, giving high priority to the 5 SIP Phones mac addresses.
The problem:
I purchased a Small Business Cisco router RV016 because the company keep expanding so they will add more SIP Phones and PCs.
In the new router configurations, there is no way to do like I did on the E1000 I just want to be able to set high priority to the SIP Phones mac addresses.
What happens when I use the new router (RV016) is that, sometime you dial a number and the phone do a busy signal and indicate "Call failed" or sometime people call in and there is only 3 phones ringing.
I tried port forwarding.. disabling firewall.. SPI.. I tried access rule.. whatever I do doesn't fix the issue.
When I put the Cisco E1000 back everything goes well.
Is there something I should know?
I'm using the latest firmware: RV0XX-v4.1.1.01-sp.bin

I'm pretty new to the VOIP.. I didn't install the phones myself and the company who did, changed the admin password on the phones so I can't connect to them(admin/22222). I just sent an email to the company who did install initially the voip system to request for PBX information.
I'm pretty sure it is an external PBX since I can't locate any piece of hardware that could be it.. Or maybe one of these phones can have a PBX internally is that something possible?
I'm configurated with only 1 WAN.
Devices are:
-5 Aastral SIP Phones
-5 Computers 1 Laptop
-2 HP Printer
-1x switch Asus GX-D1081
-1x WRT54G (using as switch and wireless)

What method I need to use on rv016 to set bandwidth priority on my phones. Like QoS..I tried bandwidth management type priority. It didn't solve my problem.
Also I need to know the right way to allow the ports to communicate. there is access rule.. port forwarding.. I'm lost!..
It is so simple with the E1000.. I just had to activate the QOS and set high priority to the phone mac addresses..I wish we had that option with the RV016

HTML_DB.SEND - how to set a priority

I use the HTML_DB.SEND in a trigger to automatically generate email when the system runs into certain conditions. Is there any way to set the priority of these emails to "HIGH"? It appears that the priority option is not available in HTLM_DB.
Please advise.
Using APEX 4.1 (soon 4.2). Oracle 11g.

I have a background background process (a stored procedure), which is lengthy and sometimes resource consuming.
However, it is nowhere near critical for speed, so if it were a regular windows process, I would have launched it with low priority.
My question is, can I start a process in SQL Anywhere, which would clear itself from CPU if other request come in?

Hi Arcady,
You can execute
SET TEMPORARY OPTION priority = 'BACKGROUND';
as the first line of the stored procedure. This will mark entire connection as a background priority task (similar to setting a processes priority in Windows).
When the stored procedure is completed, you'll want to make sure you set the priority back to a normal level. If the procedure is triggered in an event, this method will still be effective. When an event is fired it has an internal connection created for it.
Although we do not completely remove the task from the CPU (I imagine this could lead to some deadlocks), we ensure it gets significantly less CPU time then other connections.

I'm not exactly sure how the Limit Preview Size preference affects my workflow. Which setting are you using, and why?
My preference is currently set to the v2.0 default 1/2 Size. My iMac's resolution is 1680x1050, and I'm using the Canon EOS 1D Mark III taking full size RAW images at 3888x2592.

I use the default (which is 1/2 size) with no ill effects. Previews are used by external programs to gain access to photos in your Aperture library. (This is not the way your external editor works, though.) Your preview size will not affect your workflow. When previews are turned on, Aperture works on generating previews when you have something new of which to make a preview. I seriously doubt that making a small copy, versus making a smaller copy, would affect how long it takes Aperture (and therefore, how sluggish Aperture might appear.) The difference between making previews and not making previews can be significant.

Problem: Recently from couple of weeks same workbook is refreshing for 3 hour's which normally takes 20 to 25 minutes previously. Version we are using is BW 3.5
please provide some information and let me know any steps to resolve the issue.

Identify whether any particular query causing undue delay. You can try to fill the cache for this query in night job or you can use RSRT to fill the cache for the query.
Check the settings in the workbook, Right click properties, Interaction tab, Refresh workbook when query is refreshed setting is check marked
Check any change happened to any dependent infoproviders from the date you are facing the trouble

So each duplicate is right next to eachother in the exact duplicate screen.

I have taken over my son's old PC desktop tower as it has more memory than my old PC. I installed iTunes on it and have accessed via my iMatch account my music library that's in the iCloud. I need to download it to the iTuned library on the desktop so I can sync my iPod. I can only see how to do it song-by-song, which will take forever for my almost 5000 songs. Is there a way to dowload the entire library in one fell swoop, letting it download without me having to do each song individually or monitor it?
