my dilema is simple... just started to play around in Flash
meaning that i know the basics in creating a website and a few AS

Flash Professional 8 Essential Training] and before i go even
further i was wondering:
should i continue learning AS 2.0 or don't waste any precious
time and start learning AS 3.0 right away???
hope you can help a newbie like me on this one!!!

  • Which should I choose ?

ODI Essbase BIEE I really do't know which one should I choose to earn more money In order to support families.please Give me some personal advice, Thank you very much for all the people.

They are both good programs. They both have free trial downloads. I suggest you download one or both and try them. Then decide which works best for you. I opted for Fusion using a Boot Camp installation of Windows 7 as Fusion's guest operating system. Parallels will do the same thing.
If you just want to run Windows as a virtual machine you could use the free Virtual Box and run Windows in that.

  • When i bought my new iMac recently i transferred all my photos from pc to iPhotos  then i recd an update that gave me Photos  how do i combine the two into one photo library and which should i choose?

When i recently bought my new iMac, i transferred my photos from the old pc.  then i recd an update which introduced the Photos...so now i have two photo repositories and i only want one.  how do i get them together and how can i easily find duplicates to delete?  and which library should i choose.

When you launch Photos for the first time it will import all of your photos from iPhoto. iPhoto is going away eventually and Photos is the replacement. For the time being both apps will remain on your system but you should start using Photos exclusively for the future.

  • Multi-zone vs single-zone: which should I choose

If I have a fleet of about 500 linux devices to manage spread accross 7 main sites should I create a single zone or a zone for each site?
Sites are connected by reliable high-speed WAN links but I dont want every client in every site pulling down updates over the WAN.
If I put a secondary server at each site and replicate content but keep a single zone do the clients have some way of knowing which is their local server? I'm unable to find any documentation on how a client chooses a server when there is more than one.

You need to do the job always only once and can use it on all the other systems. Also reports, policies, bundles ... they always need to be created just once ...
I have not seen a installation with 7 zlm server. We just have one primary and one secondary. Seven might be very high.
Do you have some locations where are less managed devices then on the other that you can reduce the number of zlm server ?
Of the 500 maybe 300 are at one location but unfortunately the remaining 200 are pretty evenly spread accross the other locations. Whilst a secondary server in every remote office is clearly overkill we want to avoid having 30 copies of each RPM being downloaded over the WAN. Is it possible to somehow proxy workstation updates from a server to a client? That would be a neat solution..

So you need to make sure that is high available. Maybe having the database in a heartbeat / drbd mirror to a second location ? If that database is not accessible from a zlm server, it cannot distribute software !
Servers are likely to like on a VM cluster with HA so that shouldnt be an issue.

What software do you primarily distribute using zlm ?
OS updates or other software packages as well ?

The priorities for deploying such a system (be it ZLM or something else) are
    1. Inventory & Asset tracking/management
    2. OS updates
    3. A small and relatively static suite of in-house software

  • Which should I choose: Parallels or Fusion?

  • Upgrading graphics card in Gigabit Power Mac G4, which should I choose?

    Hey guys and gals.
I've been looking to upgrade my Power Mac G4 dual 500 Gigabit ethernet. I'm kind of on a budget so I'm really just looking for something that will help out basic performance, I don't do any gaming. Right now I have the stock ATI Rage 128 Pro with 16mb vram, and it's not cutting it, it's really holding my G4 back. I've been looking at the ATI radeon 7000 with 64mb vram (AGP not PCI), and the Nvidia Geforce2 MX with 32mb vram which is also AGP. I've heard some bad things about the 7000 and that it's a weak card, but it does have more vram, and i'm not looking to play any games or do anything graphics intensive. I usually just surf the internet, listen to music, ichat, and all that jazz. If anyone out there has any experience with either of these cards, knows anything about them, or has any suggestions at all I would appreciate it. Thanks guys.

  • Lowest latency Firewire audio interface for Logic... which should I choose?

    Hi Guys,
I'm about to replace my trusty Yamaha n12 with a dedicated firewire audio interface.
My main requirement is super-low latency for running BFD and other virtual instruments, along with monitoring through Logic directly sometimes (to add effects to vocals in real-time, etc).
I've narrowed down my choice (I think!!) to:
    - RME Fireface 800
    - Apogee Ensemble
    - MOTU 896 Mk3
I have been told that the RME drivers are incredible, and hence it has the lowest latency.
I'd love to hear from other Logic users who own any of the above! What kind of latency do you get (round trip in ms)? What is the lowest buffer setting you can use?
Any downfalls or problems you've had with any of these interfaces?
Thanks heaps guys, can't wait to hear some opinions!
    Cheers and thanks,
    Mike

    Thomjinx wrote:
If yeloop is using BFD, then direct monitoring isn't going to help him. That is for audio in.
    Exactly.
FWIW, on MOTU Ultralites, I get a little (less than 1 ms) less latency with the Mk 1 rather than the Mk 3.
Perhaps the built-in DSP slows the Mk 3 down?
Interesting--thanks for the info (one more reason not to upgrade MOTU, frankly...)!
It is still 4.3 ms at 32 samples with the Mk 3. For MIDI controlled VIs, it would be less than that.
    I think I measured 3.9ms with my Traveler mk2 at 44.1k with a 32 sample buffer. So, it's a bit faster than the mk3. At 96k I can use a 32 sample buffer to get 2.5ms latency, but I can't run BFD2 with a 32 sample buffer. Best I can do with BFD2 is a 64 sample buffer at 96k... 3.16ms.
But, you're exactly right, Thomjinx: with a VI, you won't hear that full amount of latency. Assuming the MIDI latency is negligible, the VI response time will be roughly 1/2 the full analog audio latency. (Logic reports both of the these figures--output latency and full roundtrip latency--if you click on the latency info in the Audio preferences. Be aware, though, that some devices report this information correctly, while others do not. For instance, with the Apogee and Metric Halo products I've used, the numbers reported by Logic are exactly correct, while with MOTU, the numbers shown in Logic are lower than reality: with a 64 buffer at 44.1k the Traveler mk2 indicates 4.3ms roundtrip latency with Logic, but I measured it as 5.6ms... so you may be misled if you try to use the latency values reported by Logic to compare products... in that regard, MOTU seems to cheat, while Apogee and Metric Halo follow the rules

  • Please guide me u2013 WHICH GRC SOLUTION SHOULD I CHOOSE

    Hi
I have a Solution Consultant certification in Finance and controlling but I donu2019t have any relevant experience in SAP. Recently I came to know that GRC is going to be the next big thing.
I have a few questions in this regard
    ·     Am I eligible to go for GRC certification or do I have to gain some experience?
    ·     Are there any other modules, which I have to learn before going for GRC certification?
    ·     How is the general job market trend for GRC? Do you suggest GRC for me keeping in mind my profile?
    ·     If yes, which solution should I choose u2013 Risk management or Process control or Access control?
    Please kindly guide me.

I understand what I did, but I don't find an option to delete this thread. Thanks anyway. At least you replied after 38 views.

  • After Effects or Shake? Which one should i choose?

After Effects or Shake? Which one should i choose?
I never use them before, now i want to choose one to learn.
Im a Mac fans, i do want to use the Mac family product, Shake, but a lot of my friends prefer After Effects.
    What one is better? Why?
I just a film student, a beginner, which one is better in the video production area? Which one is better for me?
    Help me make a decision!
    Thanks!

if you said you were looking to create motion graphics and comps (bumpers, titling and ad's) for a video company or local television station, AE would be a really good match (Shake would likely require additional motion graphics help (like  Motion and perhaps even audio and edit applications as well.)
However, if you are a film student and intend to learn and create composite images for film (and video) then your choice is also as clear, absolutely, Shake.

Yes, as new iPhone then restore from backup.

  • Adobe Extension signing - which platform should I choose?

    1. I created Adobe Extension using Extension Builder 3  (HTML5 Extension) for Photoshop CC.
    2. I want to buy Code Signing Certificate for it.
On this site for example https://www.globalsign.com/code-signing/ I have to choose "Platform" form "Supported Platforms" list.
On that site such list looks like this:
    MS Autheticode
    Adobe AIR
    Apple
    Mozilla & Netscape
    MS Office & VBA
    Java
Which platform should I choose to sign adobe extension?
Maybe it does not matter which one?

illustrator is the one which needs higher components as the other programms, right?
No, Photoshop is, assuming you are speaking of CS4 and are concerned about hardware accelerated features like the soft zoom or 3D features in PS Extended. Those only work with NVidia or ATI cards. If you can live without those features, it doesn't matter which system you get. The only critical factor then becomes RAM - the more, the better. One word of warning on the way: Make sure, your laptop supports the minimum system requirements in terms of screen resolution. If not, you may not even be able to install the software let alone use it.

Many people seem to be confused by that incomplete, brief wording on the Cloud plan page.
Creative Cloud free trial & plans : Adobe Creative Cloud
The full Cloud inclusions are listed elsewhere on the Adobe website

If you need 3 or more apps then the full Cloud membership (Individual Complete plan) is the way to go.

  • Should I choose struts to learn?

    Hello,everyone!
I have learned jsp and servlet...And I want to learn a framework for web project buliding.
"Struts" is the first word to my mind...But I have a little bit exprience in structs, because I made a project with struts action servlet(am I right?...I think action is a branch of servlet )...but I dont think the other part of struts' taglib is good enough. And except that I have no imagnation of struts...Could you give me some advise of what's framework should I choose?
    Thank you!

Could you give me some advise of what's
framework should I choose? It depends on if you are doing this for a job, or for your own enrichment. If you are on a team of developers, talk it over with them and make a decision that's best for the group.
If it is for your own, Struts probably comes to mind first since it is so prevalent. I've been using Struts about a month now. I've got mixed feelings on it, but it is a requirement of the project that it be in Struts.
Personally, I plan on learning Struts to the best of my ability, and then choosing another framework for my own enrichment (maybe Spring?), so that I can compare and contrast the two, as well as have an additional tool to use.
