Hi All
I want to apply SAP SP-Stack on our ECC6 System.
When I execute TX-SPAM I got following information
"Support Package Manager - Version 7.00 / 0023"
on service marketplace when I click "SAP SPAM/SAINT UPDATE" I have following options
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 620
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 640
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 700
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 701
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 702
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 710
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 711
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 720
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 730
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 800
Should I have to download
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 700 OR SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 800
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 700 is more likely because myversion is also showing 7.00 but where is the utilization of 8.00

- Version 7.00 refers your system kernel release.
Should I have to download
SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 700 OR SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 800
- Since your system release is 700, you should download latest patch of SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 700.

If your system is on EHP1 SP4 and SPAM version 35/36 then you can upgrade it to EHP1 SP5.

I've made the search and found a lot of info.
Some kernel updates (I386 on my case), and my first question is: "How do I update this? Is it safe to be the first thing to be done?" Is it only copy to the Run directory (usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\run)?
Also a component BC-FES-IGS has some updates, but I don't know what is this and how to update. (it says: Installation for SAP IGS integrated in SAP Kernel igsexe_16-10003071.sar)
All the rest (SAPK* files), seems to be normal patches that is possible to use spam to update them. Correct?
How to use SPAM/SAINT? What is used in one time, and on others? Do they do the same?

As SolMan is a dual stack machine, you can use JSPM to update the kernel. Another way is to extract the Kernel SAR files into the exe\run directory. It is a best practice to update the kernel before the support packages. Take a backup of the existing exe directories before you update the kernel and also pay good attention while downloading the kernel. you need to take care while choosing the correct version of the kernel (either 32 bit or 64 bit and ITANIUM or XEON). If you choose the wrong kernel, then ur SAP system will not come up.
Also a component BC-FES-IGS has some updates, but I don't know what is this and how to update. (it says: Installation for SAP IGS integrated in SAP Kernel igsexe_16-10003071.sar)
Extract the IGS SAR also along with teh kernel files.

Yes!!! You may have to update the latest SPAM/SAINT (SAPKD700*) before updating the SP's.

Support Packs can be updated using SPAM and the add-on upgrades has to be done using SAINT.

just install WinRAR (yeah, get a licence, it's worth), point the dir to .../irj/root/WEB-INF/portal/portalapps and search for ISystem*.class - and you're done.

Which user role for external system?

In my scenario there is an external system which posts XML data to a HTTP adapter in XI. Of course, the external system has to be authenticated with a username/password. I want to create an appropriate user account in our XI system (user type SYSTEM) and assign the minimal user rights to this account.
Is there a predefined role I can use?

Which Idoc type for Quality release process and Inventory reconciliation/adj. with 3PL

Dear experts,
could you please provide your suggestion on which Idoc type to use for following two scenarios between Client and 3PL vendor (Logistic provider):
1st scenario:
- Products are released in QM in clients SAP. As a result of this action stock status is changed. This information should be sent to 3PL vendor. 3PL vendor receives the information, changes the inventory status in its system and sends confirmation back to the client. Is there any Idoc type that can be used?
2nd scenario:
- 3PL vendor sends stock reconciliation static report to the client. Client receives the report and compares it with own report. Exceptions are reviewed and adjusted upon agreement between Client and 3PL. Once 3PL adjusts the stock, this information is received in Client system and processed subsequently. Any suggestions for an Idoc with Stock reconciliation report and also for stock adjustments?

thank you for this idea. Unfortunately it seems not be applicable for our system as it is ECC 5.0 and INVRPT Idoc type I can only find in ECC 6.0.
Do you have any other idea or we have to build a new custom Idoc type?

GRC AC 10 (RAR/CUP/ERM) configuration for EP system

Hello Gurus,
We are aware of configuring RAR/CUP/ERM in GRC AC 10 for ERP system(back-end)
Are there any documents /links to provide information on configuring the above components for EP system ??
Or rather specific which of the following configuration is possible for EP system ?? CUP /RAR/ ERM ??
Also going further , is there any way in which we can configure the same for BO system ??
I am not quite sure if there is any PLUG-In as such which is available for BO system or not .
But in my opinion there is no need to perform configuration for BOBJ system as the roles in them are imported from Backend system (ERP/BI etc) , hence if these roles are already taken care during ERP system cleanup and SOD analysis , there should be no need to configure seperately RAR/ERM/CUP.
Please provide your comments.

And as per the FAQ (http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000103142007)
"SAP provides a fallback scenario. If urgently required, customers can create a message at component SV-SMG-MAI-APR and SAP will release the required download basket in SAP Service Marketplace."
Then you should request SAP the approval via customer message.
I guess that send or publish the file somewhere is considered illegal.

There's nothing stopping you from using the generated sequence for something else, however you can NOT override it when doing an insert (as long as you've specified ALWAYS which is the default).

Update SPAM/SAINT package for release 7.00 terminated

Hi All,
We have installed solman 4.0 on windows environment. when i tried to import spam/saint update, it got terminated in the phase IMPORT_PROPER.
Also, in SM50 it is showing on workprocess running for long and gets terminated. I also have run SGEN once my installation was over.

I have tried three times. In fact I also restarted SAP System by changing rdisp/max_wp_runtime to 0 as there were lot of short dumps with timeouts.
I notice that currently job RDDGEN0L is running at present.
Also,
1) Dialogue work process running Report SAPMS38L with action Delete on Table D0101NC (User DDIC).
2) BGD Work process Status On Hold Reasn RFC with report SAPLSDDD (User DDIC).
SPAM Status is "MOVE NAMETABS FINISHED WITH RETURN CODE 0". Import logs finished with error code 4.

The best way to do what you're asking is with the Composition widget. Start with the Tooltip preset, which, by default shows the info on rollover. You can change the option to show on click, which is what you're after. You can also add the close button or have the info disappear on rollout.
