  • Please guide me u2013 WHICH GRC SOLUTION SHOULD I CHOOSE

    Hi
I have a Solution Consultant certification in Finance and controlling but I donu2019t have any relevant experience in SAP. Recently I came to know that GRC is going to be the next big thing.
I have a few questions in this regard
    ·     Am I eligible to go for GRC certification or do I have to gain some experience?
    ·     Are there any other modules, which I have to learn before going for GRC certification?
    ·     How is the general job market trend for GRC? Do you suggest GRC for me keeping in mind my profile?
    ·     If yes, which solution should I choose u2013 Risk management or Process control or Access control?
    Please kindly guide me.

I understand what I did, but I don't find an option to delete this thread. Thanks anyway. At least you replied after 38 views.

  • Help! Which Java IDE should I choose, and more questions....

Hello Oracle experts here, I am a college student and I have some questions about Oracle installation to consult you. These days I am learning Oracle, an currently I want to install Oracle on my PC. However I met two problems:
    1. Since I am a novice to learn Oracle, which Oracle products do you recommend? (Oracle8i Lite? Oracle8i Personal Edition? Oracle8i Enterprise Edition? other products?). I am currently learning PL/SQL and JDBC programming associated with Oracle, maybe something else later.
    2. I want to upgrade my win98 to Win2000(Professional or Server version), From your point of view, which OS is better to install for learning Oracle? Win2000 Professional version or Server version(my PC is an PIII and with 192MBytes memory)?
    3. In order to learn JDBC programming related with Oracle, which IDE is better to use? Is JDeveloper a kind of IDE? Is this it the best choose?
Maybe the above questions seems naive to you, but I really need your help! Your suggestions to any of the above questions are welcome.
    Thanks!!!
    null

    1. Enterprise, about the same dl as personal, so why not.
    2. Win2k Pro will do nicely(dont bother with Server, unless u need server for other purposes as well)
    3. JDeveloper is good, however as a newbie i think u should start out in notepad or alike.

  • Which File System should I use?

Which is the best file system to use on a drive, baring in mind the following requirements:
    * Read AND write compatibility on both Mac & Windows systems.
    * Individual file sizes will often exceed 4GB (ruling out the FAT file systems).
    * The drive is connected via USB (160GB).
    Any help appreciated

Read and write compatibility out of the box is only possible with FAT32.
But your second request rules that one out.
What I would do in this case is to use NTFS as file system (read+write in Windows) and use/buy Paragons NTFS for OSX http://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-mac/ for full access to NTFS from OSX.
In my opinion it is a far more stable solution than using MacDrive in Windows for full access to OSX (HFS+) partitions.
    Hope it helps

  • Which cooling system shall i choose???

I'm deciding to buy a cooling system in few months.
I have found out that one of these cooling system are affordable to me.
    They are :
    1.  Thermal Take Spark 7+ (XASER EDITION)
    2.  Thermalright SLK800U
    3.  COOLER MASTER JET 4 (Pentium-4) Copper HSF
    4.  ZALMAN CNPS7000-Cu
Which one is the most suitable and excellent heat dissipation among them??? You also can recommend me any other cooling devices. Well other than purchasing them, what other safety steps must i take so my system is in good temperature???

    What about the noise??
As you say----it depends on what you are looking for and the parameters involved.
I personally can't stand noisy coolers.
ANY big mass of copper with a high speed fan will cool pretty well.
What I want is a QUIET cooler that cools well enough to overclock decently.
What types of quiet fans would produce results better than the Zalman 7000 when mounted on the Thermalright???
Also, hate to say it----but in less than a year----the Zalman 7000A Cu is basically outclassed compared to the more efficient Heat Pipe Towers like the AeroCool HT-101 and similar models by other companies. Even the Thermalright is using heat pipes now.
What we really need is a test where the SAME fan is used on the different heat sinks----in the exact same case with the exact same ambient temp-----and even then---we would need to measure the noise level each time as air make react differently when hitting each type of HS causing more or less noise.
Only then could we truly say what HS was the best.....

  • What is the difference between the three network carriers and  if i am to use iPhone 5 in Bangladesh, which network carrier should i choose?

I had one confusion about the network carrier of which one to chose. Actually I do not know the difference between them. Are they related to some sort of sim cards? I would be grateful if anyone could help me to get away this confusion.

Unless we are in Bangladesh, nobody here can really help you with this.  If you purchased the phone there, you need to do that research for yourself.  You are the one who is there and on the spot so noone else can really help you with that.
You need to contact the available carriers in your area and see what the differences are for yourself.
The phone companies supply you with the appropriate sim cards when you take out a contract with them.
Also, where did you purchase the phone from in the first place and is it an unlocked phone?  If the phone is not unlocked, then it won't work.

  • Which compressor settings should i choose?

Hi guys.  need a little help.
I've edited a 40 minute summer camp video together and i've been using a HD camera that shoots in MTS files.  my final cut pro 7 has been converting all the footage to Apple Pro Res 422.    The problem is the file size is huge and i need to get it onto a dvd.   my exported final is around 30GB.
So i guess i'll need to use compressor to get it down to a size that will fit on a DVD.
Which compressor settings would allow me to get it on a DVD and still keep good quality?
any help would be much appreciated!  thanks

You don't run the movie through Compressor before going to iDVD -the transcoding happens in iDVD.
    Harry_Boy_85 wrote:
I dont actually have DVD studio pro.
    Why not?
DVD Studio Pro is included as part of the Final Cut Studio suite. Final Cut Pro has not been available seperately for a number of years now.
Grab the installation discs, put it on the computer and learn the application. Much more flexible than iDVD and you won't have the issues that you are currently experiencing.

  • Live between UK and USA - which country region should I choose?

    Hi Everyone,
I am from the UK but currently reside in the USA and will be here for quite a few years.  My main iTunes library is associated with the UK.  However, I wondered whether I should now switch the iTunes library to the USA?
If I do, does anyone know whether this makes a difference if I then want to listen to USA purchased songs in the UK, and vice versa?
    Thanks

    Y2J,
Your library is not associated with any country.  It is your library.
Your Apple ID is associated with a country.  If you want to change the country at any time, you can easily do so, by clicking the flag at the lower right of any page in the iTunes Store.  However, you can only make purchases from the iTunes Store that you are physically in, so unless you are really into window-shopping, you don't have much choice anyway.
If I do, does anyone know whether this makes a difference if I then want to listen to USA purchased songs in the UK, and vice versa?
Once you have purchased a song, you can play it wherever you are.  Strange as it may seem, Apple does not try to detect that you have crossed a border so that it can reach in and deactivate your songs.  However, if you do not believe it, you can purchase songs in normal MP3 format, either from amazon.com or amazon.co.uk, that have no country association of any kind.
    Welcome to the USA!

  • Which Windows Phone should I choose?

I am seriously considering an upgrade to windows, but I still didn't reach a decision to whether to go with Lumia 900 or Lumia 700.
    Any advice?

Performance will be virtually identical, got my son a 710 and he's over themoon, but if budget is not an issue i'd go for the 900 as the larger screen gives a much better experience with Windows phone in my opinion, plus you get better hardware and camera. Both will however give the same speed and fluidity in use .
    Good Luck

  • Which graphics card should I choose?

I am finally going to get a new Mac next month when Leopard is released, after 4 years of wonderful performance by my "old reliable" MDD G4. But with all the new apps from Adobe, and a lot of the new apps from other companies, the old girl is getting long in the tooth and is getting slower and slower. The beach ball is my constant companion.
I do a lot of illustration work and my file sizes range up to 500 MB or so. They average around 150MB. Most are high resolution multi-layer psd files. Anyway, I was wondering if I need to spend the extra money for the ATI Radeon X1900 XT. I am not a gamer, although I do occasional video editing (mainly as a hobby) in Final Cut Express. Any advice/suggestions appreciated.

Thanks Bud, now we can close the topic with your ultra minimalistic post..the circus is complete now
BTW more memory does not change the video performances in some cases; the main memory is used from the processor, not from the video card anymore; that's the reason why the modern video card comes with 512 Mb of ddr3 ram or more; if the application is old it will try to drive the memory on board instead of the one on the video card, so from your point of view it would be irrilevant to have more or less memory; but for sure you wanna have the best amount of ram on your video card; and at this point ATi is the way to go, also because the video chip is a level higher than the Nvidia chip.
I use 3d applications, so i need a lot of memory because when i render is the main processor that do the job, not the video card (that displays the preview and the interface of the application), so in cases like this (and like when you use audio/video applications like adobe or final cut or stuff like that) you want to have a lot of memory, even if is not used by the process due the memory allocation problems, for one single reason: if you load a couple of images or movies in an applicaiton, it is copied in RAM to speed up the process, so even if the program itself can drive only 2 GB, the process goes faster because teh entire material is stored in memory (but treated based on how much data can be handled from the software).
sorry, had to do the clown show once more (now let me get my masks and leave the stage LOL)

  • Help! which application should I choose.

I want to download an oracle application that deals with Accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing general ledger, order management. Which free download should I choose off the Oracle website? It's confusing.

    Jacqueline,
you won't find ready-to-use application programs for free on OTN. You can download databases, application servers, utilities and so on.
At least you need a database, then you have to program your application or to get it from another source.

hi, i got Macbook Pro 2007, OS X 10.5.8, I would like to update my system, which one I should choose? tks

Mountain Lion is the current version of the latest OS, with Mavericks coming this fall.
However, I would suggest that you simply upgrade to Snow Leopard -> http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard. It's a very good, very fast OS and, best of all, it can still run those PPC apps that you may be using.

How to identify Mac mini models
In any event you will have to pay

  • Graphiccard - which one should i choose

    Hello!
first of all: my english ist not very good and thats why i got problems to find the right place, where i can post my problem. if this forum is the wrong one, please put my topic in the right one or tell me, where i can drop it.
here is the reason why i choose the illustrator forum:
in the next few days i will buy a new laptop. i got already one. its a dell precision M90 and its like my mainlaptop. the new one will be a 13" vostro from dell.
    here is my question:
i will use the 13" laptop in university for writting emails, internet, open office and this adobe-programms: photoshop, indesign, acrobat an ILLUSTRATOR.
illustrator is the one which needs higher components as the other programms, right? so illustrator is like a benchmark for my problem:
now i have to make a decision. which graphic-card should i take?
this is the normal one. its already inclusive:
    Integrierte GMA X4500 HD-Grafik RED
and this is the one which dell advises to me (for my needs):
    256-MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 9300M GS-Grafikkarte RED
as i said, the 13" is not my mainworkingstation, so ist doesn't need very good components. i would like to open my adobedocuments - not more.
is the first graphiccard good enough to open/show me my documents?
again: sorry for my english, i hope you can understand me!;)
    wish you a nice day,
    lisa

No, Photoshop is, assuming you are speaking of CS4 and are concerned about hardware accelerated features like the soft zoom or 3D features in PS Extended. Those only work with NVidia or ATI cards. If you can live without those features, it doesn't matter which system you get. The only critical factor then becomes RAM - the more, the better. One word of warning on the way: Make sure, your laptop supports the minimum system requirements in terms of screen resolution. If not, you may not even be able to install the software let alone use it.

  • Adobe Extension signing - which platform should I choose?

    1. I created Adobe Extension using Extension Builder 3  (HTML5 Extension) for Photoshop CC.
    2. I want to buy Code Signing Certificate for it.
On this site for example https://www.globalsign.com/code-signing/ I have to choose "Platform" form "Supported Platforms" list.
On that site such list looks like this:
    MS Autheticode
    Adobe AIR
    Apple
    Mozilla & Netscape
    MS Office & VBA
    Java
Which platform should I choose to sign adobe extension?
Maybe it does not matter which one?
