Which support plan do I need? VS2013 web deploy troubleshooting

I have an ongoing issue with completing a web deploy from VS 2013 to my Azure website. I have scoured the web and am not really any closer to finding out/nailing down what the problem is. I need help troubleshooting the issue and so I'm now thinking I need to get some more official support as most of my forum posts are not receiving responses.
I have a Windows Azure MSDN - Visual Studio Ultimate subscription....I currently am not eligible for technical support. I have options to upgrade to a support plan of: DEVELOPER, STANDARD, PROFESSIONAL DIRECT or PREMIUM support plan. What is the minimum
support plan required to create a ticket for this technical issue and receive help troubleshooting the problem?
The Developer subscription has the Unlimited Break/Fix 24/7 service...what does that mean exactly?

we have developed an application using forms 6i and reports 6i - we need to web deploy a part of it ... i need someone who has web deployed an application to really guide me thru .... i have read most of the posts in this forum and am thoroughly confused - please specifically guide me about what all is needed for web deployment of Forms and Reports 6i in simple easy to follow steps.. Do u need Oracle 9i Application Server / Will the Forms Server Suffice?

no need to go for an expensive HDMI cable as Varjak Paw rightly suggests.
Pretty much all of them come with 1.4 standard these days.
The difference in price is made by additional shielding and material used for the wire - hardly ever needed at home installations - unless you get interference from other devices.
on the other note.
one HDMI in your TV is obviously not ideal as well as using HDMI splitter or hub - but it should work.
Also I know cases that some LG TV models do not work with Apple TV - which was confirmed by LG technical support.
Those are rare cases and i do not want to worry you at this stage.

I was dragging folders from main folders on the laptop-desktop onto the external drive icon - to copy them across....
Your suggestion sounds very promising - I didn't know about 'cloning'.
Yes the idea is to backup the laptop -    I thought I would just move it all now, new - and then keep saving/dragging physically   across to the new drive myself each day or two...
Would this be the sizeof the internal hard drive = c.500 gb ?   =   under the HD icon on desktop is written :
" 499.76gb , 311.5 gb free "
I can erase and start agin on the new external drive - so this plan is to make two partititions, rather than the one at present, and make one of them 500 gb ?
I have found CCC [carbon copy cloner] googling - looks good.
When CCC site says it backs up the hard drive - would this mean all my files [over 100 gb] that are mostly in folders on the desktop, plus the others in itunes, iphotos etc found in the HD icon, would all copy across successfully [wherever they are in the computer ] ?

i use lambda and atomic (c++0x) but now as I am working on MAC not able to use them
installed xcode(4.3) and changed compiler settings to LLVM3.1 but still both features are not available
to compile wanted to have g++ which supports c++0x features ...

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

The problem with ArchLinux on IntoVPS is specific to ArchLinux and initscripts. You should still be able to send commands using:
ssh me@server "mkdir something && mount it"

The permanent solution is:
When you do "pacman -Syyu", you have to make sure to update the initscripts: "pacman -Syu initscripts". Sometimes, pacman saves them as .pacnew files. The "/etc/rc.sysinit.pacnew" and "/etc/inittab.pacnew" contains the commands to setup the /dev/pts mount that will allow you back in with ssh. Those should be safe to rename it as the original unless you customized them. Just keep a backup of the original, in case anything goes wrong. (If you don't see "/etc/inittab.pacnew", then it was installed automatically.)
Don't replace the "/etc/rc.conf". I know that one should *not* be replaced with the newer version. It was custom built for your machine. You should look at it and get familiar still look at it and compare it with the .pacnew version to see if you should include any new lines/commands.
Then reboot the machine.

(I would also like to recommend IntoVPS. They and Linode are my two favorite choices. If you want lower prices, other budget VPS sometimes add ArchLinux to their offerings if you request it. )

Need CISCO switch which support 10 GBPS Traffice

In my data center currently I have 13 servers with Cisco Ethernet switch which supports 1 GBPS network that switch is up-linked with a sonicwall firewall.
We recently bought a new sonicwall firewall which has a two 10GE port.So I am looking now a cisco switch which has at least 16 10GE Fiber ports and one/two 1 GB Ethernet ports.That one 1 GB ports will connect to existing cisco switch and 16 GE FC ports will connect to firewall and as well as all server which I am planning to move one by one as we buy 10 GB supported SFC Network adapter cards for these servers.
Can you guys suggest me a Cisco Switch with 10 GE Fiber supported with 1/2 1 GBPS ethernet.Also if you can suggest me 10 GE Supported SFC adapters for Dell R 710,R720 and IBM x3550,M4 and IBMx3650 M4 servers.

Need info on Coverage reports which supports spring 2.0 framework

I want to know whether there is Coverage report tool which is an eclipse plugin and which support Spring 2.0 framework.
Also, whether Coverlipse version supports Spring 2.0?

The last time I tried Coverlipse you could not use
Spring's test case base classes and have the tests
run. That's what is meant by it does not support

AaronInteresting. That's not a problem I'd considered. Do you know why this is? Does Coverclipse only measure classes which directly subclass org.junit.TestCase or something? I don't know how Coverclipse works, but don't you just point it at your tests and say "go forth and measure"?
We use JCoverage, and it seems to cope just fine with our tests, hardly any of which actually directly extend TestCase, and probably 3000 of extend a Spring test class. We use Spring 1.2.7, mind you, but I do know another team using the same build process as us, and it JCoverage works just fine with their Spring 2.0-based tests. I can't really see why a coverage tool wouldn't work with Spring test classes, or their helpers, since as long as they're on the classpath, they can be loaded and used. Is the Coverclipse classpath configured properly? Don't rely on it picking up it's classpath from your project, not all plugin authors think of that. Wouldn't surprise me if the plugin simply didn't have Spring 2.0 on it's classpath

LSO: Ensuring learner desktop is "LMS ready" & support plan for E-learning

We are entering a time period with a significant rollouts planned for WBT's and on-line tests. Despite the efforts of our IT organization, our end user environment isn't quite as standardized as we would like. This creates the potential that when learners go into the Learning Portal to take a WBT or on-line test, things might not work as planned, leading to learner frustration and an increased volume of support tickets.
Examples of things which could go wrong include: (1) user has a pop-up blocker turned on, (2) user might not have the Java plug-in installed for their browser (or a really old version).
So.....
1) What do you do to minimize the risk of learners running into problems?
I'm especially interested in any attempts you've made to give users information to help self-audit their own PC's in anticipation of taking E-learning.
2) What does your technical support plan look like for E-learning tickets?
What I'm interested in is what directions do you give to your Help Desk so they know under what circumstances they should route a call to a particular resource.
I would like to hear from other customers who are live with LSO (300 or above) as to how you address these items.

Variability in content and users desktops are two major issues from a support standpoint. Some of our content is internal IP and created by employees with no instructional design background. For this we provide standard templates, standard creation tools and job aids to assist in creating a WBT that allows the user to know what to expect from one to the next. For desktop issues, we often identify known issues (a WBT requires a new version of Flash plug-in for example) prior to deployment and have the specific technology pushed to all user's desktops.
For issues like pop-up blockers, we note the need to disable them completely from the users Learning Plan where they access the content since this is a common problem. As issues are identified and solutions determined, we make sure the helpdesk is notified. This is then added to their ticket management support checklist depending on the issue that was originally reported. If the helpdesk (Level 1) can't resolve the issue over the phone then they refer it to the developers (Level 2) who contact the employee directly. The developers close the loop by communicating the resolution to the helpdesk for future use.

Is 64bit support planned for all toolkits?

some years ago a programmed a large application in LabVIEW 2010 with the help of some toolkits.
Currently I am thinking about switch to LabVIEW 2013 but in the 64bit version and update some stuff.
To my surprise almost no toolkit included in the Developer Suite Core Edition has a 64 bit Version.
Is the support planned or should I avoid doing anything new in LabVIEW since I can never use the large amounts of memory any computer offers today.

There is no difference in licensing LabVIEW x32 and x64. In fact, I believe you can have them installed side-by-side (Never tried this myself)
Not many applications actually REQUIRE x64 as of today and very few LabVIEW applications developed with the current toolkits would require x64 architecture since (Drumroll please....). The existing x32 Toolkits WORK in a 32 bit architecture.
So, there is no market need to provide the existing toolkits with features that they do not take advantage of. Are you following so far?
Toolkits that CAN and MUST take advantage of a 64 bit OS cannot be deployed on 32 bit systems. What advantages do you feel you can provide your user's by moving a 32 bit TK to 64 bit?

Is there an IDE which supports snippets with popup arguments?

Is there a text editor or plugin which supports selecting from default arguments?
Geany package has the Snippet plugin. From their manual page
Basic snippet.conf entry:

And then there's the feature to add a wildcard:
Template wildcards

This will replace myname with "My name is " and the value of the template preference developer.
What I'd like to find is something similar to the wildcard:
myname=My name is ("Chris" | "Xtian" | "CSimon")
This way I can complete the phrase "My name is" with any of these three options, similar to the current auto-complete. (only autocompelete matches only what's in the document, and you can't limit it just to preset values)
I want to make some bog simple flat file xml-templates. Define something like a database field with a list of predetermined values, so I don't get field value identity problems.
Any ideas for VIM or geany?

As I noted in the post, I want to make some bog-simple flat file xml-templates.
The functionality is really important so they're easier to maintain. I'm using geany right now, since its a little more convenient when copying text from web pages. Right now I have Snippets working to insert the exact wrappers. However, some of the elements are repetitive, and I wish to keep them consistent. And autocomplete is catching some of these words correctly and some not correctly. I don't need autocomplete for the whole document, but I very much would like it for these structural bits which snippets are so good (and convenient) at putting into a text doc. As I was re-purposing the snippet.conf and adding all these elements to classify the content files I was making, I realized how much the process was like making a database table. Combine this feature with templates and what you have is a single file as a single record, with the fields inside the document. Now I can parse these files for content with a script. If I'm using VIM or Geany, then all the better.
